⁣Before the Nazis came to power, the Eldorado Club was a famous music club for gay, lesbian and transgender patrons. It was hugely popular with tourists and celebrities as well. Within a month of the Nazis coming to power in 1933, the club closed and its patrons arrested.

It was a child brothel

Thread 3/3
Hirschfeld’s institute opened in Berlin in July 1919 and functioned as a public propaganda hub for the new sexual order: it hosted regular lectures, film screenings, discussion evenings, and a Museum of Sex that school classes actually toured under the banner of “enlightenment.” It openly normalized “sexual transitions,” homosexuality, cross-dressing, and the “third sex” as scientific fact, while issuing official “transvestite passes” to shield cross-dressers from arrest. Experimental surgeries began there on adults labeled “transvestites” or “sexual intermediates” Dora Richter’s castration/orchiectomy in 1922, followed by early penectomy and vaginoplasty attempts by 1931. Weimar sex-education reforms tied directly to anti-venereal-disease campaigns and the 1927 law pushed “comprehensive” discussions of contraception, abortion reform (softened Paragraphs 218/219), and non-procreative sexuality into public life and youth-adjacent programs. The firewall between adult experimentation and children was deliberately lowered. Wulffen’s court files show the real-world result of this “progress”: the same era that celebrated these reforms saw ten-year-olds working stations, fourteen-year-old girls as dominatrices, teachers running sadistic school rings, gender deception enabling marital fraud, and minors from every background funneled into the sex trade. In today’s world of rampant Epstein-style trafficking where economic desperation, elite impunity, discreet procurement networks, institutional grooming, and cultural “enlightenment” that blurs lines for the young are still with us Weimar stands as the unfiltered primary-source warning. Wulffen’s book is the courtroom archive proving exactly how it looked when prosecutors had to clean up the mess left by so-called progress. The parallels are not abstract. They are documented in the files. Read it. Share it. The cautionary tale for women and children forced into this nightmare is as urgent now as it was in 1929.
