Glad you have emergency shelter but a house is not a home and home is where the heart is. If they cared at all about your survival, they would help you go home to your biologically interested family. With family you can afford and maintain private property instead of throwing money away for months or years on rent to those that are interested in turning a profit. Them giving you shelter does not cost them anything and you are an investment that will most likely be paying rent for many months to come.
