Big Bubba Actually, no, he didn't ever drop an "N bomb", but George Jefferson did. Archie Bunker used all sorts of racist terms that were sadly far too common back then, but he never crossed that particular line. His pet term was "colored".

OK, So the FCC fined Stern repeatedly for f-bombs, and other curse words, and sexual innuendo. But he could drop the N-word all over the place and it's just fine. There's a message there, I think.

They never fined him for "f-bombs". He is conducting a satirical "interview" to highlight Marge Schott's racist views, as entertainment. He obviously doesn't agree with the racism...he's making fun of it.

@James Gray I think you're right. I remember him being fined probably more for the pornographic stuff rather than cursing. Still, it says something that the FCC never bothered him about dropping the N word. But they were all over nude women on a RADIO show!! I don't think any of this bit was racist, but today Howard would be run off the air if he tried this bit.
