BEETHOVEN VIOLIN CONCERTO IN D MAJOR, OPUS 61 đģ [FEATURING KYUNG WHA CHUNG]
âŖKyung-Wha Chung's monumental performance of Beethoven's masterpiece with formidable Klaus Tennstedt and Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam in 1989.
Here we see an artist at the top of her game. Everything that made Kyung-Wha Chung a 1st tire violinist a couple of decade ago is all there; technical accuracy, fiery presence, intense concentration, and pure silvery beauty of the tone, but now the mature artist balances and mingles them seemingly at total ease all to the service of the music. The result is this performance of superb details, incredible beauty and engaging drama.
