Rabbi Shmuley Boteach called Donald Trump “a phenomenal friend” to Israel, dismissing the presumptive Republican nominee’s previous claims of neutrality in peace negotiations with Palestinians as irrelevant.
The outspoken celebrity rabbi said conflicting statements on the Jewish state made by Trump should be ignored and that the unequivocal support of Israel that the candidate expressed at his address at AIPAC’s policy conference in March should be taken as representative of his views.
“I think the definitive opinion he’s expressed is his speech before AIPAC — he expressed no form of neutrality whatsoever,” Boteach told the Forward.
Prior his speech at the pro-Israel group’s conference, Trump said he would be neutral when arbitrating between Israelis and Palestinians. He also implied he expects Israel to pay back military aid it has received from the U.S.
Boteach cited conversations with Trump’s Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who Boteach extolled as a “Kiddush Hashem” (a sanctification of God’s name), as having convinced him of Trump’s views on the Jewish state. Kushner, Boteach said, “is rock solid on Israel,” and serves as an advisor to Trump.
Boteach was speaking hours before a “Jewish Values” award gala he organizes was set to begin, whose guests include Sheldon Adelson, a major contributor to Republican candidates. Adelson was seen as signaling support for Trump in March through positive coverage of the candidate in Israel Hayom, an Israeli newspaper he controls and funds.
The prominent rabbi conceded that he does not agree with Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the country, but emphasized that on the two most important issues for him — national security and Israel — the real estate mogul was the strongest candidate.
Boteach also said Trump should not be held accountable for anti-Semitic and racist supporters. The real estate mogul has faced criticism for not dealing with bigotry among some of his supporters, including hateful statements and call to violence against Jews.
“Every candidate is going to attract unsavory characters — that’s what happens in politics,” Boteach said, “I’m not going to hold him accountable for racist supporters.”
After failing to initially condemn a Wednesday endorsement by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, Trump disavowed the white supremacist Thursday.

Biden's remarks were taken out of context. He made no mention of blue roofs nor of directed energy weapon (DEWs) in his speech.

What's the claim?
A 14-second video from an address by U.S. President Joe Biden is circulating on social media with the claims insinuating that the American leader admitted to using directed energy weapons or DEWs during recent wildfires. In the video, Biden is heard saying, "If you fly over these areas that are burned to the ground, you'll see, in the midst of 20 homes that are just totally destroyed, one home sitting there because it had the right roof on it."
A user on Facebook shared the video with the caption, "What we have here is Biden admitting DEWs (Direct Energy Weapons) don't affect roofs that are blue. I swear it's like we're being punked or better yet in a Twilight Zone like I've said forever (sic)." Archived versions of the post and similar ones can be viewed here and here.
This narrative is also viral on social media platforms like TikTok and X (formerly Twitter). Archived versions of the posts can be accessed here and here.
Several users have also linked Biden's speech to the recent wildfires in Texas. They have attributed the February Texas wildfires, reported to be one of the biggest disasters of the kind in the region, to DEWs based on the viral video. Such claims (archived here) follow the same trend as observed during the 2023 fires in Maui, Hawaii (spelled Hawai'i locally), when conspiracy theorists linked the tragedy to DEWs.
However, we found that President Biden's remarks have been taken out of context.
What did we find?
We traced the origin of the viral video and found that it was taken from a speech the President delivered on March 1.
Upon reviewing the extended video posted by the White House, the same day, it is evident that when Biden mentioned "roof" during his address, he was discussing improved methods for withstanding natural disasters and had mentioned nothing about DEWs.
We also accessed the full transcript of Biden's speech in question from the White House website and found that Biden was discussing "standards" and "building codes," in the context of the Texas wildfires. He did not say anything about the color blue as claimed in the viral post.
Around the 1:48 timestamp in the White House video, we can hear him saying, "Well, my administration is going to keep building on the progress we've made fighting the climate crisis. And we're going to keep — help folks rebuild themselves in the wake of these disasters. And we rebuild to the standards that are up — the up-to-date standards and building codes and the rest. Because a lot of—if you fly over these areas that are burned to the ground, you'll see, in the midst of 20 homes that are just totally destroyed, one home sitting there because it had the right roof on it."
This confirms that Biden was addressing the standard rules and building codes to withstand natural disasters such as the Texas wildfire.
The narrative that blue-colored items allegedly survive DEW-induced fires, implying that many wildfires are not accidental but caused intentionally by advanced weapons (like DEWs), has become widely popular in the past months, and the theory was also propagated during the Maui fires. Additionally, aerial visuals of the aftermath of the Texas wildfire published by Reuters show a residential structure that is not blue left unburnt in the fire, as seen in the image below.
Aerial photos and drone shots of the aftermath of the wildfires published by other news outlets, like Getty Images, Reuters, AFP, and CBS News, also show structures with white and brown roofs that were not damaged by the wildfires.
The Texas wildfires
Texas, particularly the Panhandle region, has been battling massive wildfires since late February 2024. According to a report by the Associated Press, the fire caused widespread devastation. It prompted evacuations in a handful of small communities, destroyed as many as 500 buildings, and killed two people and thousands of livestock.

It had the wire staked to the ground through the box, then the box was taped shut. The porch pirate sued him and won. Turns out setting a trap like this is illegal and while he didn't go to jail or anything, there was a huge fine for doing it - along with the $8500 the criminal won in the suit.

Here's why: The script followed every mass casualty event since: the event begins; seeds are planted as to whom the perps are; the event continues; crisis actors establish pre-planned storylines; the event concludes; perps are identified/caught/murdered. Have I missed anything? So far, I haven't said anything that you haven't read on any site worth its pixels. Here's the thinking that went outside the box. The planners weren't American, because of Greenwich Mean Time.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

The appearance of Flight 93 at the site of WTC7 fell through, but the planners quickly regained their wits, and set up their back-up plan. WTC7 was ALWAYS meant to go belly-up, considering the hardware that had to be removed from sight. Barry Jennings was also a loose cannon who had to be liquidated. So, plans were set to "pull" WTC7 later in the day, after everything seemed to be at its end. So the script set forward, "WTC7 to go at 4:20 PM". I thought about this for a while. 4:20 is a reference to marijuana, and being able to align the reference to marijuana to a catastrophic event such as a building collapse would fuck with the brains of stoners from here until time immemorial.

Sheer luck screwed that up for them; that, and someone whom couldn't correctly translate GMT into Eastern without using two hands, their feet and a calculator.

Unlike individual cases of sexual violence, trafficking is a long-term crime, and the perpetrator has an interest in exploiting the victim for as long and as much as possible. According to Veronika Antimonik, coordinator of the Safe House Foundation, the situation could last for decades:
“We’re aware of cases where a person was exploited both in forced labor and sexually. For example, during the day a woman was forced to work in a market or at a business, and in the evening she was sold as a prostitute.[…] At the same time, the perpetrators know that the longer it lasts, the less the victim tries to leave.”

What is a chemtrail?

According to Wikipedia (which is not a bad place to start, rather than finish, your research):

'The chemtrail conspiracy theory posits that some trails left by aircraft are chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed in the sky for purposes undisclosed to the general public and directed by various government officials. This theory has been refuted by the scientific community: such trails are simply normal contrails (condensation trails).'

Condensation trails – or contrails – form behind jets flying above 25,000 feet and are created by a combination of the hot air generated by the aircraft engines and the hydrocarbon by-products of jetfuel consumption. Dependent on meteorological and atmospheric conditions – particularly wind speed and humidity – contrails generally last from a few seconds to a few minutes, but can also last a lot longer in the right conditions.

For a counterpoint, let’s see what the good folks over at Collective Evolution have to say:

'Geoengineering is not a conspiracy, it’s the deliberate and large-sacle [sic] intervention in the Earth’s climatic system. Simply put, it is the spraying of chemicals into the air via planes into the atmosphere. Independent testing over the past decade confirms that Chemtrails around the country contain a dangerous and extremely poisonous mix of chemicals that includes: barium, nano aluminum-coated fiberglass [known as CHAFF], radioactive thorium, cadmium, chromium, nickel, desiccated blood, mold spores, yellow fungal mycotoxins, ethylene dibromide, and polymer fibers.'

Doing a quick search, it seems that Geoengineering is indeed not a conspiracy – it’s a university-supported science, that is also not currently happening on any significant scale.

The rational side of my brain compels me to ask: is there any evidence chemtrails exist?

It is at this point that my search leads me to Contrail Science, a site which has worked long and hard to link to all evidence of chemtrails. Most of it is pretty weak, but my favourite pieces of ‘evidence’ are:

Final thoughts

The size of the conspiracy necessary to cover up chemtrails makes them highly improbable.

Literally hundreds of thousands of aircraft engineers, maintenance workers and on-ground staff around the world would have to be involved in the cover-up — none of whom have ever come forward with a solid piece of photographic or scientific evidence.

While it is certain the practice of aerial chemical dispersal does exist, it is done from low altitude to control pests and is popularly known as cropdusting.
