⁣Two people have been killed and eight others including a police officer have been injured following a shooting outside of a grocery store in Arkansas.

Law enforcement agencies responded to the Mad Butcher store in Fordyce on Friday morning to reports of a shooting.

State Police said that nine civilians were shot at with two dying from their injuries, while a law enforcement agent was also hit and has non-life threatening injuries.

According to officials the shooter was also critically injured after being shot at by law enforcement and has since been taken into custody.

Sources told the Southeast Arkansas Times that the shootout started between two groups of people with AR-15 style weapons.

A Dallas County Courthouse employee told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that at least four active shooters had been involved.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the actual number of shooters involved in the incident.

Dallas County Sheriff Mike Knoedel confirmed to THV11 that the suspect was quickly detained.

Video emerged on social media of the scene with multiple shots heard being let off in quick succession.

Car alarms can be heard ringing out with the person recording adding that one person was laying in a parking lot after being shot at.

The camera then pans round to show one person laying on the asphalt surface as shots continue to ring out.

David Rodriguez, 58, had stopped at his local gas station in Fordyce to fill up his car when he heard what he thought were fireworks from a nearby vendor´s stand.

'We heard a few little pops,' he said.

He then saw people running from the Mad Butcher grocery store into the parking lot, and one person lying on the ground. He began recording video with his phone before the gunfire escalated.

'The police started to show up, and then there was massive gunfire and ambulances pulling up,' he said. 'The bullets were just flying.'

Governor of Arkansas Sarah Huckabee Sand posted on X saying: 'I have been briefed on the tragic shooting in Fordyce, and I'm in constant contact with State Police at the scene.

'I am thankful to law enforcement and first responders for their quick and heroic action to save lives.

'My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this horrific incident.'

Reporters on the scene reported shell casings scattered across the ground and a medical helicopter being brought in.

Several agencies including the Dallas County Sheriff's Office and the Arkansas State Police Department are all currently on the scene.

Fordyce is a city of about 3,200 people located 65 miles (104 kilometers) south of Little Rock.

As thousands of protesters descended on the capital on Wednesday, the demonstrations quickly turned to vandalism around Union Station, where the anti-Israel crowd targeted landmarks to spread hateful messages against the Jewish state.

Along with the vandalism at the Liberty Bell replica, the adjacent Christopher Columbus statue was graffitied, with one red message ominously reading, “Hamas is coming.”

The protesters at Union Station were also seen burning American flags and an effigy of Netanyahu, with DC police, Capitol Police and US Park Police reporting 23 arrests following a chaotic clash with law enforcement.

The demonstrators’ vandalism, however, was removed by Wednesday morning as employees with the National Parks Service washed away the hateful messages.

The protest at Union Station was coupled with demonstrations that appeared to reference biblical plagues as the groups dyed the city fountains blood red.

The protesters also unleashed maggots as well as other creepy crawlers at the Watergate Hotel, where members of Netanyahu’s delegation were staying.

In a shocking incident in the United States, a repeat offender on probation allegedly punched an NYPD woman officer in Bronx. A video of the arrest caught on camera has also surfaced online. According to reports, the offender Ernst Delma punched the female officer in the face, thereby knocking her to the ground. The 49-second clip shows the woman officer's colleague moving in on the suspect and taking him down by pinning the accused to the ground. Somewhere in this whirlwind he picked up his new moniker, Thor De Force, as personally described by writer John Farris. SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — A sleepy Ohio city-turned-center of the political universe has faced an onslaught of bomb threats in recent weeks over baseless conspiracy theories about its population of Haitian migrants.

Now it’s bracing for another challenge: A possible visit from Donald Trump.

The former president — who threw Springfield, Ohio, into disarray earlier this month when he falsely claimed an “invasion” of Haitian migrants here were eating cats, dogs and geese — declared at a recent campaign rally that he planned to visit the city in the coming weeks, though it’s unclear if he actually will come. And although he has not announced an appearance date, some residents are welcoming the visit — while others are readying themselves for impact.

“I think everybody needs to be heard, but I feel like you’re adding fuel to the fire,” said Amanda Jones, a nurse practitioner in the area. “Resources are already spread super thin in this area, not only for the people’s safety that’s going to attend, but also for the candidate’s safety as well, because it’s a very divisive time right now.”

Springfield Mayor Rob Rue, a Republican, urged Trump not to come, saying during a press conference last week it would “undoubtedly place additional demands on our safety infrastructure.”

“Should he choose to change his plans, it would convey a significant message of peace to the city of Springfield,” Rue said, adding that the city is “committed to ensuring that the event proceeds safely and smoothly for both the residents and visitors.”

Trump’s campaign did not provide specifics on Trump’s plans to visit to Springfield. In a statement, Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said: “While the media may find these stories and experiences unimportant and inconvenient, President Trump will continue giving a voice to Americans who are expressing their concerns about the influx of illegals and rising migrant crime in their communities.”

As of Wednesday morning, the Secret Service — which coordinates campaign event safety with state and local law enforcement — had not informed the state of a planned visit, according to Andy Wilson, director of the Ohio Department of Public Safety.

Still, Wilson said, “obviously, if he comes, it won’t be a surprise.” He promised that state and local law enforcement “will be equipped to handle whatever comes our way.”

A group of congressional Democrats is also planning a trip to Springfield in solidarity with the migrants, Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.) — who is Haitian American — said Friday at a news conference. Members of the congressional Haitian Caucus on Friday introduced a resolution to condemn racism against the Haitian community.

In the weeks since Trump first claimed at the presidential debate that Haitian migrants were eating pets — which Springfield officials have repeatedly denied — the small Ohio city has contended with dozens of threats that have shuttered schools, government buildings, hospitals and stores.

Police have erected watch towers throughout the city, which now has a pack of bomb-sniffing dogs and a cadre of state law enforcement personnel ready to respond at a moment’s notice, according to Wilson. Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine — who on Friday criticized Trump and his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, for “rhetoric” he said “hurts the city and its people” — stationed state troopers at each of Springfield’s public schools for the duration of each school day.

“Locally, the resources are stretched thin, there’s no doubt about it,” Wilson said. But, he added: “The fact that we have a bunch of resources over there already, from a state perspective, makes [a Trump visit] less logistically heavy for us, actually.”

Some residents of Springfield and the surrounding area told POLITICO they were concerned a Trump visit would inflame tensions.

The worst experience ever. Was visiting and had to wait 30 minutes just to be passed around by three different people to input our information. The lady at the front desk called the child stay before we went back there and they told her okay they can bring him. We were informed to take our 1 year old in the child stay and when we got back there we were told to he had to be with bigger kids and we requested him to be with the smaller kids because he's 1 and she said well we are over capacity. Mind me we've already waisted 30 minutes waiting just to get our information inputted in the system what makes matters worse there was only one kid with the smaller kids. It was one provider in there with one child.

I would not recommend anyone go to this YMCA.
Real easy to sign up online, but when you want to cancel your membership there is no option to do it online.They force you to jump through hoops, fill out forms and provide a THIRTY (30) DAY notice. So by the time you've requested cancellation they will try and charge you one last time.On top of that the facility is TOO CROWDED. Been at 5:30 am, middle of the day round lunch and late at night.The staff is not helpful or informative. They raised the price of my membership without ever calling, or informing me any type of way because I supposedly didn't provide some documentation that they NEVER EVEN ASKED FOR.

Asked for management but no one was available. This young man needed training on CS and what programs the YMCA offers. I would rather drive pass this location to go to another facility.

Completely upset with the attitude/compassion from Management and staff..I have been a member for YEARS and only just recently couldn't afford my membership and I thought I had cancelled it, however, it kept rebilling. I really needed the last 3 months to be refunded (I hadn't used the gym in over a year either..), however, both managers I spoke with were so rude about it and demanded 'evidence' that they deemed worthy..I explained my whole situation: how I'm financially impacted by COVID, have family health problems I'm dealing with, tried to cancel, etc. However, they really couldn't care! Not to mention that I only kept the membership through the pandemic because its a Non-Profit and they do reinvest into the community..It just really shows the lack of care/empathy they really do have. If I could I would just never had signed up for this YMCA..Negative Professionalism

This bill specifies that any product that acts as, or exposed to processes that could result in the product potentially acting as, a gene therapy or that could possibly impact, alter, or introduce genetic material or a genetic change into the user of the product or certain other people must be conspicuously labeled with the words "Potential Gene Therapy Product", and reasonable steps must be taken to ensure a potential purchaser or user is made aware of the presence of this label. If a product is known to be a gene therapy product, the product must be conspicuously labeled with the words "Gene Therapy Product"

— Missouri House Bill 1169, also known as "Product Disclosures", was a bill that would have regulated products that could alter a person's genome. The bill would have required products that could act as gene therapy or potentially impact genetic material to be labeled as such.
