A lewd act is a term used to describe any activity considered to be indecent when performed in public. A lewd act typically involves exposure of private or intimate parts to the public accompanied by behavior which is meant to provide sexual arousal. An example of lewd behavior is masturbating in public. Public could mean a park, bus, subway platform, library, beach, theater, or a public restroom. However, you can also be accused of lewd conduct if the act is at your house or in another private residence, but is observed from a public place or from other private residences. If you intentionally perform an act of public lewdness in the presences of a minor under the age of 16, then you will face a more serious charge.

Under New York Penal Law § 245.03 you could be charged with public lewdness in the first degree if you are at least 19 years old and you intentionally expose to a person who is less than 16 years old your private parts, such as your penis, buttocks, or vagina in a lewd manner in a public place such as a city street or on a public bus, or you do some sort of lewd act such as masturbation in front of someone who is less than 16 years old. You could also be prosecuted for public lewdness in the first degree if commit the crime of public lewdness after have been convicted of the same crime within the preceding year.

Example
30-year-old Jose was charged with public lewdness in the first degree after he was observed rubbing his exposed penis and making groaning sounds in the middle of a park where children observed him.

In addition, if you did not realize that young children were present, you may have a defense to a charge of public lewdness in the first degree. However, you still may be prosecuted for the lesser offense of public lewdness.

Sentence
Public lewdness in the first degree is a class A misdemeanor. This means that if you are convicted your sentence could include a jail term of up to 1 year, a probation term of 3 years, and payment of a fine.

Border Patrol agents on Wednesday opened a gate that had previously been locked by members of the Texas National Guard, in order to allow a number of illegal immigrants deeper into the United States.

Fox News witnessed members of the guard close and lock the gate, which is situated on private property and had previously been open, to deny entry to migrants who had crossed illegally and were expecting to be allowed into the U.S.

The illegal immigrants were then seen standing outside the gate waiting to be allowed in, with the Texas National Guard watching on.

A short time later, Border Patrol agents appeared with a key and opened the door, allowing the migrants to get through and be processed into the U.S. immigration system.

Some agents have expressed their anger at being taken off the line and instead being forced to process those who have entered the country illegally into the U.S.

"I know the policies of this administration are not particularly popular with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, but that's the reality, and let's see what we can do within that framework," Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told frustrated agents in January.

Some of the migrants who have successfully entered the U.S. into Texas have been given the chance by Abbott to travel to Washington D.C. and New York City -- the mayors of those cities have protested about the numbers being sent their way and have appealed for federal help while criticizing Abbott. Approximately 10,000 migrants are estimated so far to have been sent to both cities.

Danny, as you may or may not know, is listed as one of those "suicided" individuals. He "committed suicide" by slicing his wrists horribly in a bathtub. His notes on the Octopus, to be assembled into a book, disappeared, never to surface again.

A Christian farmer in Texas raised the prized heifers which are essential for priests to serve in the Temple.

Five perfectly red heifers, required for the ritual purification of those who have touched a dead body, arrived in Israel from a ranch in Texas on Thursday, as the Temple Institute continues preparations to lay the ground for the construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem.

The heifers are all under one year old and if they remain 100% red and avoid any blemishes which would disqualify them, they will each be eligible to be used to create the ashes required by Jewish law to purify those who have been in contact with a dead body, explained the Temple Institute on Monday. This level of purification would be needed in order to allow the kohanim (priests) to carry out their work in a future Temple.

The prized cattle were immediately transported to Haifa where they will sit in quarantine for no less than seven days, in accordance with the regulations of the Israel Veterinary Authority. After the quarantine, they will be released to two separate locations in Israel, one of which will eventually be opened to the public. The heifers will be fed and cared for at these locations until they can be slaughtered and rendered into ashes from their third year onwards.

The heifers were located and brought to Israel with the help of the Boneh Israel organization, which involves both Jews and Christians. Byron Stinson, a Texas rancher and a fundraiser and adviser for the organization, raised the cattle.

The heifers were greeted by a ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport. Temple Institute officials Rabbi Chanan Kupietzky, Rabbi Tzachi Mamo, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel and Rabbi Azaria Ariel participated in the ceremony, alongside Stinson and Jerusalem and Heritage Ministry director-general Netanel Isaac.

The farmer who raised the cattle is a devout Christian who was intensely interested in this commandment and began breeding cattle for the trait, according to Stinson.

What is a red heifer?

The red heifer is first mentioned in the Book of Numbers 19:3, when God tells Moses and Aaron "This is the ritual law that God has commanded: Instruct the Israelite people to bring you a red cow without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which no yoke has been laid."

The Torah goes on to explain how the heifer is processed and burnt and its ashes mixed into sanctified water. Those who became impure due to touching a human corpse would be purified by having the water mixed with the ashes sprinkled on them twice: once three days after they came in contact with the corpse and a second time seven days after contact.

The Torah relates that a red heifer was brought to Elazar the Priest, the son of Aaron, and was processed for its ashes for the ritual. According to the Talmud, those ashes were used from that moment until the end of the First Temple period. During the Second Temple period, another five to seven red heifers were burnt for their ashes. Maimonides wrote in his compendium of Jewish law, the Mishneh Torah (Laws of the Red Heifer, 3:4), that the next red heifer will be brought by the Messiah.

Why is the red heifer important?

In the modern day, all Jews, including kohanim, are assumed to be impure with the impurity imparted by a corpse. While in everyday life in the modern day this status does not have much of a practical effect, those impure with this type of impurity are prohibited from entering the Temple.

Kohanim impure with this type of impurity are thereby prevented from conducting the services required in the Temple and would need to be purified with the ashes of a red heifer before being able to serve again, making the creation of such ashes a necessary requirement for any attempt to reestablish the Temple in Jerusalem. (One exception is the Pascal sacrifice, which can be offered even by those who are impure with the impurity imparted by a corpse, as long as the majority of the Jewish people are impure with this type of impurity)

Non-Jews and the red heifer

This would not be the first time that non-Jews have helped provide a red heifer to the Jewish people.

A post on Instagram has claimed that on 9/11, World Trade Center 7 collapsed “for no apparent reason”.

During the terror attacks of 11 September 2001, four planes were hijacked: two were flown into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon and another crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Two planes were flown into the North and South towers, part of the World Trade Center complex of seven buildings. Both towers collapsed shortly afterwards. World Trade Center 7 was a 47-storey building in the complex, which was not directly hit by an aircraft, and also collapsed later that day.

There are a number of reasons this building collapsed on the day, despite not being hit by planes, which have been described by investigators, scientists and experts since.

According to the US government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which investigated the reasons behind the collapse for years, a number of fires are behind World Trade Center 7’s collapse.

NIST says that debris from the collapse of the North Tower ignited fires on at least 10 floors of World Trade Center 7, some of which burned out of control because the automatic sprinkler system for some floors had failed (partly due to city water lines damaged by the collapse of the Twin Towers).

Heat from the fires then caused steel support beams to expand which led to several floors collapsing. This then triggered a number of other structural failures, which eventually resulted in the whole building collapsing.

The theory that an explosion caused the building’s collapse was investigated, but no evidence of this was found.

It’s true that fire causing tall buildings to collapse is rare. NIST lead investigator Shyam Sunder told journalists at the time: “This is the first time that we are aware of, that a building taller than about 15 stories has collapsed primarily due to fires”.

⁣Two people have been killed and eight others including a police officer have been injured following a shooting outside of a grocery store in Arkansas.

Law enforcement agencies responded to the Mad Butcher store in Fordyce on Friday morning to reports of a shooting.

State Police said that nine civilians were shot at with two dying from their injuries, while a law enforcement agent was also hit and has non-life threatening injuries.

According to officials the shooter was also critically injured after being shot at by law enforcement and has since been taken into custody.

Sources told the Southeast Arkansas Times that the shootout started between two groups of people with AR-15 style weapons.

A Dallas County Courthouse employee told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that at least four active shooters had been involved.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the actual number of shooters involved in the incident.

Dallas County Sheriff Mike Knoedel confirmed to THV11 that the suspect was quickly detained.

Video emerged on social media of the scene with multiple shots heard being let off in quick succession.

Car alarms can be heard ringing out with the person recording adding that one person was laying in a parking lot after being shot at.

The camera then pans round to show one person laying on the asphalt surface as shots continue to ring out.

David Rodriguez, 58, had stopped at his local gas station in Fordyce to fill up his car when he heard what he thought were fireworks from a nearby vendor´s stand.

'We heard a few little pops,' he said.

He then saw people running from the Mad Butcher grocery store into the parking lot, and one person lying on the ground. He began recording video with his phone before the gunfire escalated.

'The police started to show up, and then there was massive gunfire and ambulances pulling up,' he said. 'The bullets were just flying.'

Governor of Arkansas Sarah Huckabee Sand posted on X saying: 'I have been briefed on the tragic shooting in Fordyce, and I'm in constant contact with State Police at the scene.

'I am thankful to law enforcement and first responders for their quick and heroic action to save lives.

'My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this horrific incident.'

Reporters on the scene reported shell casings scattered across the ground and a medical helicopter being brought in.

Several agencies including the Dallas County Sheriff's Office and the Arkansas State Police Department are all currently on the scene.

Fordyce is a city of about 3,200 people located 65 miles (104 kilometers) south of Little Rock.

⁣The Liberty Bell replica outside Washington, DC’s Union Station was defaced with pro-Hamas symbols and anti-Israel messages, including one that read “F–k Israel,” during a protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to Congress.

As thousands of protesters descended on the capital on Wednesday, the demonstrations quickly turned to vandalism around Union Station, where the anti-Israel crowd targeted landmarks to spread hateful messages against the Jewish state.

The Liberty Bell reproduction at the site was defaced with countless graffiti with messages like “Abolish Israel,” “All zionists are bastards” and “F–k Capitalists.”

Red inverted triangles were also painted on the bell — a symbol that’s become synonymous with Hamas because the terror group uses them in propaganda videos to show Israeli soldiers they have marked for death.

The bell was also defaced with the message, “Long Live the Intifada,” a slogan the Anti-Defamation League has repeatedly slammed as a “call for violence against Israelis and Jews and Israel.”

The demonstrators’ vandalism, however, was removed by Wednesday morning as employees with the National Parks Service washed away the hateful messages.

The protest at Union Station was coupled with demonstrations that appeared to reference biblical plagues as the groups dyed the city fountains blood red.

The protesters also unleashed maggots as well as other creepy crawlers at the Watergate Hotel, where members of Netanyahu’s delegation were staying.
