Pattaya, Thailand — Nathy Odinson base jumps to his death after parachute fail.

BANGKOK - A British skydiver was killed on Jan 27 after he sneaked to the top of a 29-storey Pattaya condominium to jump from its rooftop, but his parachute failed to deploy, police said.

The skydiver was identified as Mr Nathy Odinson, 33, a British passport holder. His Facebook page, Nathy’s Sky Photography, has more than 5,000 likes and over 10,000 followers.

Police in Pattaya were alerted to the accident at 7.30pm and rushed to the building in Tambon Na Klua in the Bang Lamung district of Chonburi province and found Mr Odinson’s body on the ground.

A round blue parachute was found on his body and it was not fully deployed.

Security officials of the condo told police they heard a loud noise of a heavy object hitting the ground, and they later heard a woman crying, so they rushed out to check and found Mr Odinson in critical condition before he died.

The security officials said Mr Odinson had parked his car outside the condo and sneaked inside and went upstairs to do a base jump from the top with his friend filming a video on the ground.

They said the man hit tree branches before falling onto the ground.

They added that Mr Odinson had sneaked in to do base jumping several times earlier.

Police Captain Kamolporn Nadee, deputy inspector of Bang Lamung Police Station, said the victim’s friend, who waited to shoot the video on the ground, was interrogated. He said police would check security cameras of the condo before wrapping up the case.

The Facebook page of Mr Odinson posted several clips of his skydiving and base jumping from many locations in Thailand.

His posts also tagged a Facebook page called Thai Sky Adventurers that sells packages for tourists who like skydiving from a small plane. The tourism company is in Chonburi’s Si Racha district. THE NATION/ASIA NEWS NETWORK

Conspiracy Theorists Spread New Fake Story About Chabad Tunnel ‘Collapsing’
The heavily politicized drama over an illegal excavation under a synagogue in Brooklyn has produced even more misinformation

One construction worker was killed in a building collapse in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn on Friday afternoon, local news outlets reported.

But the tragic accident led misinformation accounts and conspiracy theorists on X (formerly Twitter) to falsely claim the incident had taken place in Crown Heights, concocting a wholly fake story about the tunnel beneath the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters in Crown Heights suddenly caving in.

As the Borough Park commotion drew hordes of emergency responders, social media vultures went to work, misrepresenting the footage of ambulances, firefighters, and Hasidic Jewish bystanders to push propaganda about Chabad and Jewish people in general.

“BREAKING: 60 FOOT NEW YORK TUNNELS UNDER CHABAD SYNAGOGUE ARE COLLAPSING,” wrote Sulaiman Ahmed, a commentator on X/Twitter who has significantly raised his profile by posting misleading material about the Israel-Hamas war (whereas he previously focused on defending misogynist manosphere influencer Andrew Tate, who is currently facing trial on human trafficking charges in Romania). “Emergency crews rush to stabilize the situation,” Ahmed added. The video shown in the tweet is from the Borough Park collapse site, not Crown Heights, which is some four miles away.

The synagogue passageway, dug illegally and in secret by a splinter sect of Chabad, the Hasidic community which owns the synagogue (the offshoot group sought to retain access to the property), was discovered in early January thanks to a chaotic brawl and several arrests as engineers attempted to fill the tunnel. The story immediately unleashed a storm of antisemitic conspiracy theories alleging a sophisticated underground network used for human trafficking or even ritual sacrifice — a centuries-old conspiracist trope known as blood libel.

Such claims resurged with the widespread and false attribution of images from the Borough Park scene as activity at the Chabad headquarters. “The Jewish sex trafficking tunnels in New York under a synagogue have collapsed,” read one untrue tweet, which included the false claim that “many civilians have been crushed.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blew off Newsmax White House correspondent James Rosen as he shouted questions about the search for classified documents at President Joe Biden’s Wilmington, Delaware home.
At Tuesday’s White House briefing, Jean-Pierre underwent yet another hellish bombardment of questions about the classified documents discovered by Biden aides in private storage spaces — including his Wilmington home — which are now under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Hur. Jean-Pierre has taken a lot of grief in the briefing room for parrying any and all questions not covered by statements that the president and his counsel have made.
But she also fielded several questions about Saturday’s revelation that five additional pages had been discovered earlier in the week — after Jean-Pierre had told reporters on Thursday, citing statements from the White House Counsel’s office — that the search had been completed and all the documents discovered had been disclosed.
At one point during the briefing, Rosen shouted, “Do you feel badly that you gave out false information?” And as Jean-Pierre left the podium at the end of the briefing, Rosen also shouted, “You told us something six times that turned out to be false. Are you sorry about that?”
Jean-Pierre told the assembled press “I’ll see you tomorrow. Come talk to me. I’ll see you tomorrow,” as she walked away.
But other reporters asked similar questions when called on, including NPR’s Tamara Keith, who asked if the episode affects her “credibility”:
TAMARA KEITH: Yeah, are you upset that you came out to this podium on Friday with incomplete and inaccurate information? And are you concerned that it affects your credibility up here?
MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Well, what I’m — what I’m concerned about is making sure that we do not politically interfere in the Department of Justice, that we continue to be consistent over the last two years, and — and that is — continue to refer you all, when it comes to an ongoing process. And — and I’ll just leave it there. And let’s not forget — there was actually a statement from the Counsel’s Office that you all had at the same time as well.
I’m — I’m just not going to go down any rabbit hole here. I’m going to be very consistent. I’m going to be very prudent.
And, again, I’ve been asked — just asked that question. I’ve answered it. It’s been noted, the question. And we’re just going to move on.
As for Rosen, he appears not to have taken Jean-Pierre up on her invitation, at least not as of his live shot late Wednesday morning on Newsmax. When the anchor brought it up, Rosen responded with a silent smile.

Trump Lawyer Argues ‘Appearance of Impropriety’ Is Enough to Disqualify Prosecutor

Lawyers argued about whether the prosecutor Fani Willis has an untenable conflict of interest in the Georgia election case; her side called the disqualification effort “desperate.”

A judge in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald J. Trump heard final arguments on Friday on a motion to disqualify the prosecutor who brought the case, Fani T. Willis, on the ground that a romantic relationship she had with a subordinate created a conflict of interest.

With a historic criminal case against a former president on the line, lawyers for Mr. Trump and his co-defendants took turns assailing Ms. Willis. John B. Merchant III, who represents the defendant Michael Roman, said that if the court finds the prosecutors’ romance did not create a conflict of interest, “public confidence in the system will be shot.”

But Adam Abbate, a prosecutor in Ms. Willis’s office, called the defense’s effort to disqualify


Ms. Willis “a desperate attempt to remove a prosecutor from a case for absolutely no reason, other than harassment and embarrassment.”

Defense lawyers on Friday repeatedly asserted that the bar for disqualification should be relatively low, arguing that even the appearance of a conflict of interest should lead to Ms. Willis’s removal from the case because her actions had undermined public confidence in it.


The question of whether the defense needs to show an actual conflict or just an appearance of one could prove pivotal.

“We can demonstrate an appearance of a conflict of interest, and that is sufficient,” Mr. Merchant told the judge, Scott McAfee of Fulton County Superior Court.

Mr. Trump’s lawyer, Steven H. Sadow, picked up the theme, arguing that “once you have the appearance of impropriety,” the law in Georgia is clear: “That’s enough to disqualify.”

Mr. Sadow focused on a speech Ms. Willis made in January at a Black church in Atlanta, calling her remarks a “violation of professional rules of conduct.”

Her speech, at Big Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, came shortly after the conflict-of-interest motion was filed.

Ms. Willis, who is Black, suggested in the speech that the scrutiny of her romantic relationship with the prosecutor she hired to run the Trump case, Nathan Wade, was racist. Some of those comments she described as part of a conversation she had with God.

“It was a calculated determination by Ms. Willis to prejudice the defendants and their counsel,” Mr. Sadow said, adding, “Can you think of anything more that would heighten public condemnation of the defendant than alleging that the defense counsel and the defendants were making their motion based on race and religion?”

With Ms. Willis seated silently at the prosecution table, Mr. Abbate told Judge McAfee that appearance alone was not enough to disqualify her.

“The defense has to show an actual conflict,” Mr. Abbate said, adding that it had not done so in this case.

After Mr. Abbate sought to bolster his argument by citing a number of prior cases in which a conflict of interest had been found, Judge McAfee interjected that “a number of these cases seem to rely on appearance of impropriety.” But Mr. Abbate said that in each of the cases of disqualification that he cited, the courts found an “actual conflict” in addition to the appearance of impropriety.

The legal arguments of Mr. Trump and his allies were advanced by a lineup of veteran defense lawyers who seemed quite at ease, while Mr. Abbate had a more halting, and at times fumbling, presentation, relying more on his recitation of precedent and case law.

Regardless, Judge McAfee will be more interested in the substance of the legal questions, rather than the delivery style. He said after the arguments that he would rule within two weeks.

The hearing Friday allowed lawyers from the two sides to sum up their arguments over a salacious subplot to the election case — one that has already caused significant embarrassment and turmoil for Ms. Willis, the Fulton County district attorney. Details of her personal life have been spilled out in the Atlanta courthouse where she had hoped to put Mr. Trump and 14 co-defendants on trial as soon as this summer.

⁣The stakes are high: If Ms. Willis is disqualified from the case, her entire office will be, too, and the case will probably be turned over to a district attorney from another jurisdiction. The new prosecutor could choose to continue the case as planned, modify the charges or drop them.

Disqualification would reduce the chances that a trial would begin before the November presidential election, in which Mr. Trump is expected to be the Republican nominee.

The relationship between Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade, an Atlanta-area lawyer she hired in November 2021 to manage the prosecution team, first came to light in January, in a motion filed by Ashleigh Merchant, a lawyer for Michael Roman, one of Mr. Trump’s co-defendants.

Ms. Merchant, who along with her husband, John Merchant, represents Mr. Roman, asserted that the romance began before Ms. Willis hired Mr. Wade. She also argued that Mr. Wade was unqualified for the high-profile job, for which he has been paid at least $650,000 so far.

Ms. Merchant claimed that Mr. Wade and Ms. Willis had engaged in “self-dealing,” because the couple went on vacations together that she said Mr. Wade had paid for.
In her filing on Jan. 8, Ms. Merchant cited Georgia case law in arguing that the situation as she laid it out met the standard for a disqualifying conflict of interest.

On Friday, Mr. Merchant told the judge that “we have here a very personal financial interest that’s been laid out in terms of money received by Ms. Willis, as a result of the scheme that she set up.”

Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade have acknowledged that they had a romantic relationship. But they have said that it began after Mr. Wade was hired, and that it ended before Mr. Trump and 18 of his allies were charged in August in a sweeping indictment that accuses them of conspiring to overturn Mr. Trump’s defeat in the 2020 election.


⁣The Accusations Against Fani WillisThe election interference case in Georgia against former President Donald Trump has been buffeted by an effort to disqualify Fani Willis, the main prosecutor, over her romantic relationship with a colleague.

What to Know: A tense hearing was held in Georgia to decide whether Willis and her office should be removed from the prosecution. Here is what we learned during the first and second days of the proceedings.

The Accusations: Trump’s lawyers are hoping to convince a judge that Willis’s relationship with Nathan Wade, a lawyer she hired to manage the case, has created a conflict of interest that should be grounds for disqualifying Willis.

Willis’s Response: In a court filing and in a raw testimony, Willis said that her relationship with Wade began after she hired him to join the case and ended in 2023, arguing that the romance should not be a reason to disqualify her.

A Messy Diversion: Regardless of whether Willis is disqualified from leading the high-stakes case against Trump in Georgia, the extraordinary detour it has taken may have changed it fundamentally.

Ms. Willis said the couple roughly split the costs of the trips they took together, with Ms. Willis often using cash to pay back Mr. Wade for her share.

One defense lawyer, Richard A. Rice, Jr., accused the prosecutors during Friday’s hearing of living “Robin Leach’s lifestyle of the rich and famous” on their vacations.

But Mr. Abbate scoffed at that: “The evidence was she stayed at a DoubleTree in Napa” he said of Ms. Willis. “I don’t know that to be a lavish hotel.”

The judge held a series of hearings on the issue in February that felt at times like a mini-trial.


Mr. Wade took the stand, as did Ms. Willis, who pushed back angrily against Ms. Merchant’s questions. Ms. Willis described feeling loneliness after becoming the district attorney, the violent threats and racist messages she had received, and her frustration that the focus on her love life had distracted the nation’s attention from Mr. Trump and the 14 co-defendants who remain after four of those originally charged pleaded guilty.

At a hearing on Tuesday, the conflicting accounts of when the prosecutors’ romance began took center stage. Ms. Merchant called Terrence Bradley, a former law partner of Mr. Wade, to the stand, hoping to help prove that the relationship began before Mr. Wade was hired.

But Mr. Bradley delivered contradictory information. Entered into evidence was a text exchange he had with Ms. Merchant months earlier, in which he said that the relationship “absolutely” predated Mr. Wade’s hiring. But on the witness stand, he repeatedly said he had no knowledge of when the romance began.

The judge will have to decide which of Mr. Bradley’s accounts to believe as he weighs whether to disqualify the prosecutors.

At Friday’s hearing, Mr. Sadow said Mr. Bradley’s text messages showed that the relationship began before Mr. Wade’s hiring. But the judge seemed uncertain.

“Is it ever definitively shown how he knew this and that he actually did know it?” Judge McAfee asked.

Another witness, a former friend and employee of Ms. Willis named Robin Yeartie, also testified that the relationship predated Mr. Wade’s hiring. But under cross-examination, she said that she had left the D.A.'s office on bad terms and was no longer Ms. Willis’s friend.
Mr. Abbate on Friday dismissed both Mr. Bradley and Ms. Yeartie as people who had an ax to grind with the prosecutors.

There is already some precedent within the Trump case for disqualification. In July 2022, a judge blocked Ms. Willis from developing a case against Burt Jones, a fake Trump elector in Georgia in 2020, because Ms. Willis had hosted a fund-raiser for one of Mr. Jones’s political rivals. A year and a half after the disqualification, no replacement prosecutor has yet been named to continue investigating Mr. Jones, who is now Georgia’s lieutenant governor.

Pete Skandalakis, the executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, said in a recent interview that the current situation was different from the one involving Mr. Jones and suggested that it could move more quickly because an indictment has already been handed up.

While discussing the former Fox News anchor's interview on the Patrick Bet-David podcast Friday, Owens praised the Russian president's intelligence and said it made him look smart compared to Joe Biden.
Cuomo criticized the firebrand for praising the leader. The NewsNation host added that Putin has had his enemies killed and limits Russian citizens' freedom.
'You just got triggered by the fact that I acknowledged that Putin...' Owens said before Cuomo cut her off.
'I am not triggered, what are you 19? What, are you using 19-year-old woke language now, that I'm triggered? I'm not triggered,' Cuomo said.
Owens said Putin's explanation of Russian history was impressive and intelligent compared to Biden's often gaffe-filled speeches.
'Tucker just went over and interviewed Vladimir Putin and this is significant because then you saw what it looks like when somebody not only has the mental faculty, I mean irrespective of what you thought about the interview, you are forced to acknowledge that he's an incredibly smart person,' said Owens.
'It's very obvious that Putin can complete a sentence and that Biden can't.'
During the interview, Putin gave a 'historical background' of the conflict with Ukraine, before defending his military's action.
He then went on to make a range of bombshell claims including that Bill Clinton offered Russia a place in NATO, Russia has superior 'supersonic missiles,' Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich is a 'spy' and said the CIA blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline.
Cuomo was outraged by Owens' notion that Americans should want a leader like Putin.
'You [the audience] think he [Putin] gave you an accurate recitation of Russian history starting in the 8th century because Candace just said so,' Cuomo said.
'She's wrong and you're wrong okay? He did not give you an accurate recitation he gave you a KGB doctored look at why it's okay that he wants to reestablish the Soviet Union.'
Owens defended herself from Cuomo's criticism and said calling Putin smart does not mean she supports him.
'Chris, there's no reason to do this, there's no reason to do this. You're doing so great, I'm not going to let you do this to yourself,' Owens said.
'Seriously, there is no reason to do it. Obviously Vladimir Putin is intelligent. In the Carlson interview, when asked what the decisive moment was that made up his mind to launch his attack, Putin responded, 'initially, it was the coup in Ukraine' - referencing the removal of Zelensky's predecessor Viktor Yanukovych in 2014.
'And what triggered the current events? Firstly, the current Ukrainian leadership would not implement the Minsk Agreements,' Putin continued. The Minsk Agreements were a series of treaties that sought to end the Donbas War between Ukraine and Russian separatist groups, signed in 2014.
He accused former leaders of Germany and France of reneging on their commitments to the agreements.
'They never intended to implement them, they simply led us by the nose,' he said.
He also bristled at the notion a change in president would change the outcome of the war.
'You just asked me if another leader comes and changes something? It is not about the leader,' he said.
Putin sensationally claimed that a peace deal over the Ukraine war was once almost agreed to, blaming the 'Western side' for wanting to keep the war going for as long as possible.
'We're willing to negotiate,' he said.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens is openly feuding with a famous American rabbi after calling him “filth” for promoting his daughter’s line of adult products.
Owens, who claims to have been harassed by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach and his daughter Chana Boteach for the past two years, responded to a post on Monday in which a user criticized the religious figure for advertising everything from lubrication to vibrators sold by his daughter.
“The unholy Rabbi Shmuley is now promoting a website that sells vibrators and butt plugs on behalf of his daughter,” Owens tweeted. “He thinks he’s somehow insulting me by doing this. FILTH.”
The rabbi shot back by accusing Owens of antisemitism, claiming that her disapproval of the sex toys had more to do with Israel than anything else.
“ANTI-SEMITE @RealCandaceO Atacked my daughters Kosher Sex Product Calling it ‘Filth,'” Shmuley said on X. “Did she say this because it happened to be made in Israel?”
Shmuley also used the opportunity to plug a discount code bearing Owens’ name that would allow customers to receive a discount from his daughter’s online store.
“Go to kosher.sex to get 10% off using the code ‘CandaceO,'” he added.
As noted by The Times of Israel, Chana opened a kosher sex shop in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 2019.
Shmuley’s issues with Owens stem largely from her support for rapper Kanye West, who in recent years made numerous antisemitic remarks. She also feuded with Ben Shapiro over his enthusiastic support for Israel in the wake of the Oct. 7 attack.
Owens, on the other hand, described Shmuley as a “monster who has waged horrific campaigns against black and brown people in an effort to control our voices and destroy our relationships with one another.”
Shmuley insinuated over the weekend that he might bring a libel suit against Owens after the conservative “essentially said” that he “killed Michael Jackson … and that Jews run pedophile sex rings in Hollywood in order to blackmail African-American entertainers.”
In a March 7 episode of her show, Owens’ discussed Shumely and Jackson. Shmuley is intertwined in the death of Jackson, publishing a set of tapes months after he passed that sparked controversy.
Such a suit could also target Shapiro, who runs the media outlet the Daily Wire where Owens works.

Whether Shmuley follows through with a lawsuit remains to be seen. Either way, it doesn’t appear that either Owens or Shmuley are backing down anytime soon.

A film over the eye - בדוקין שבעין
An animal brought to the Temple in Jerusalem as a sacrifice must be free of physical deformities or blemishes. One of these is a film over the cornea or, according to some, over the eyelid. The word duk (דק), which in modern Hebrew means thin, is translated as either a cataract (Soncino and Schottenstein) or “a veiled or withered spot” (Jastrow).
RASHI AND THE MEANING OF דֹּק
To better understand the etymology of the word, Rashi draws our attention to the verse in Isaiah (40:22 ) הַנּוֹטֶה כַדֹּק שָׁמַיִם וַיִּמְתָּחֵם כָּאֹהֶל לָשָׁבֶת “Who spread out the skies like a film [כַדֹּק], stretched them out like a tent to dwell in.” He notes that in the French of his day the the word for דֹּק is “teile” or toile, (טייל׳א or טולא) meaning a canvas or fabric. So the Talmud is describing a film over the eye, and this is certainly a reasonable way to describe a cataract, which is a cloudiness of the lens in the eye. In a cow it would look like this:
RASHI’S SECOND EXPLANATION AND A MAP OF THE WORLD
Rashi then gives an alternative meaning for the word: a blemish on the eyelids. He continues
ל"א דוקין שיש לו מום בעפעפים ולהכי קרי לעפעפים דוק על העין כרקיע דהכי אמרינן בספרי אגודות העין דומה לעולם קטן העפעפים כנגד הרקיע והתחתון כנגד הארץ והלבן שמקיף את העין כנגד ים אוקיינוס שסובב את העולם והשחור שבו שהוא עגול דומה לגלגל חמה
We read about this in homiletic stories: The eye is a mini representation of the world. The upper eyelid represent the rakia (the vault over the sky that contains the stars) and the lower lid represents the earth. The white of the eye [the conjunctiva] represents the ocean that encircles the world, and the dark part which is circular [the pupil] represents the orbit of the sun.
Rashi seems to suggest that since the upper eyelid is described as representing the skies, which are stretched out like a canvas, working backwards the word דֹּק could mean the eyelid. The aggadic (homiletic) parable to which Rashi is referring is from Derech Eretz Zuta, a minor tractate of the Talmud (and not part of the daily one-page a day cycle). Here it is, from the end of the ninth chapter:
אבא איסי בן יוחנן משום שמואל הקטן אומר: העולם הזה דומה לגלגל עינו של אדם. לבן שבו זה אוקיינוס שמקיף את כל העולם שחור שבו זה העולם קומט שבשחור זה ירושלים פרצוף שבקומט זה בית המקדש, שיבנה במהרה בימינו ובימי כל ישראל אמן
The world can be compared to the eyes of a person. The whites of the eyes are the ocean that encircles the entire world. The dark part (? the ring around the iris) is the world, the iris [lit. the folded part of the pupil] is Jerusalem, and the pupil [lit image in the iris] is the Temple, may it be rebuilt speedily and in our days and the days of all of Israel, Amen.
TWO MAPS OF THE WORLD
So we have two ways in which eye might echo a map of the world. And although it is not entirely clear what the terms קומט שבשחור and פרצוף שבקומט mean, the maps look something like this:
Both of these “eye maps” capture elements of talmudic geography. In the talmudic mind, the Earth was a flat disc covered by an opaque sky known as the rakia. Exactly how the sun moved was the topic of a famous dispute between the “wise men of Israel” and the “wise Gentiles.” Here it is:

The wise men of Israel say that during the day the Sun travels under the rakia, and at night it travels above the rakia. And Gentile wise men say: during the day the Sun travels under the rakia and at night under the Earth. Rabbi [Yehudah Hanasi] said: their view is more logical than ours for during the day springs are cold and at night they are warm.
The two options are shown below. In both, the earth is a flat disc surrounded by water. They really do match nicely with the eyeballs image.
We have discussed the sun’s orbit around the earth back in February 2017. There is no doubt that the rabbis of the Talmud actually believed the world was actually a disk surrounded by an ocean.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach called Donald Trump “a phenomenal friend” to Israel, dismissing the presumptive Republican nominee’s previous claims of neutrality in peace negotiations with Palestinians as irrelevant.
The outspoken celebrity rabbi said conflicting statements on the Jewish state made by Trump should be ignored and that the unequivocal support of Israel that the candidate expressed at his address at AIPAC’s policy conference in March should be taken as representative of his views.
“I think the definitive opinion he’s expressed is his speech before AIPAC — he expressed no form of neutrality whatsoever,” Boteach told the Forward.
Prior his speech at the pro-Israel group’s conference, Trump said he would be neutral when arbitrating between Israelis and Palestinians. He also implied he expects Israel to pay back military aid it has received from the U.S.
Boteach cited conversations with Trump’s Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who Boteach extolled as a “Kiddush Hashem” (a sanctification of God’s name), as having convinced him of Trump’s views on the Jewish state. Kushner, Boteach said, “is rock solid on Israel,” and serves as an advisor to Trump.
Boteach was speaking hours before a “Jewish Values” award gala he organizes was set to begin, whose guests include Sheldon Adelson, a major contributor to Republican candidates. Adelson was seen as signaling support for Trump in March through positive coverage of the candidate in Israel Hayom, an Israeli newspaper he controls and funds.
The prominent rabbi conceded that he does not agree with Trump’s call to ban Muslims from entering the country, but emphasized that on the two most important issues for him — national security and Israel — the real estate mogul was the strongest candidate.
Boteach also said Trump should not be held accountable for anti-Semitic and racist supporters. The real estate mogul has faced criticism for not dealing with bigotry among some of his supporters, including hateful statements and call to violence against Jews.
“Every candidate is going to attract unsavory characters — that’s what happens in politics,” Boteach said, “I’m not going to hold him accountable for racist supporters.”
After failing to initially condemn a Wednesday endorsement by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, Trump disavowed the white supremacist Thursday.
