The media plastered a fake story that Hamas beheaded babies in its 7 October attack across the front pages. But now footage has circulated of actual beheaded Palestinian babies, the media is silent.

Israel designated a new safe zone in Rafah and then bombed it, killing at least 45 Palestinians who were mostly women and children. The bombardment caused a fire that swept through the camp of displaced people. The Palestine Red Crescent Society said many of those Israel killed were “burned alive” inside their tents.

Media double standards

Corporate media complicity in Israel’s genocidal assault became clearer as footage emerged of Palestinian babies beheaded in the bombardment.

The outrage is nowhere to be seen. But when the IDF planted a story that Hamas had beheaded babies in its 7 October attack, the coverage was rampant.

The Times ran the front page “Hamas cut the throats of babies”. The Daily Mail went with “This was a Holocaust plain and simple”. The Independent‘s front page stated “they decapitated women and children”. And the Daily Express’ read “Horror at pure evil beheading of babies”.

The wall-to-wall coverage was also discussed on UK broadcast media. And in the US, president Joe Biden kept repeating false claims that he’d seen photos:

I never really thought that I would see and have confirmed pictures of terrorists beheading children.

Outlets like CNN also repeated the IDF story.

But there is no evidence of the claim, as Israel admitted. Israeli reserve soldier David Ben Zion was a key source of the propaganda.

Ben Zion is a leader of the Shomron Regional Council of 35 illegal West Bank settlements. He called in February 2023 for the destruction of a Palestinian village:

The village of Huwara should be wiped out, this place is a nest of terror and the punishment should be for everyone

He also previously stated Palestinian people have “barbaric DNA”.

Genocidal statements, amplified by the media

This is the type of racist, dehumanising rhetoric fueling Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people. And again media complicity has amplified such statements.

Multiple times on BBC Newsnight the presenter has allowed genocidal language to go unchallenged. Appearing on the show, Israeli politician Danny Danon referred to slaughtered Palestinians as “barbaric animals”.

Former Israeli ambassador Dan Gillerman also called Palestinians “human animals” on BBC Newsnight. Both times, the host did not challenge the claims.

Elsewhere, defence minister Yoav Gallant has said “We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly”. And Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said “This is a battle not only of Israel against these barbarians, it’s a battle of civilization against barbarism”.

International Criminal Court top prosecutor Karim Khan is seeking arrest warrants for Gallant and Netanyahu for leading the war crimes against Palestinian people, including intentionally starving them.

The looming arrest warrants cannot come soon enough. Israel has killed 36,615 Palestinian people including over 15,000 children since 7 October.

If the media didn’t treat Palestinian lives as less worthy than Israelis, we wouldn’t already be in this position.

⁣Police are looking for a shooter after a smoke shop robbery in North Miami Beach led to the senseless death of a store employee.

The armed robbery happened June 11 at Miami Cloudz Smoke Shop on Northeast 163rd Street and near 20th Avenue.

Surveillance video shows four men at the shop's counter when one man pulls out a gun, points it at 35-year-old Salem Albakri, and orders him not to move.

⁣MAPLEWOOD, Minn. — It's back to business after a big scare at Big Discount Liquors in Maplewood. An armed robber was beaten back by an 8-year-old girl and her baseball bat.

Thirty-seven-year-old Conchobhar Morrell, of St. Paul, was charged with first-degree attempted aggravated robbery in Ramsey County on Monday.

Charging documents state Morrell's criminal record includes a 2004 conviction for first-degree aggravated robbery.

Surveillance video from the store shows Morrell wearing an Amazon uniform and reaching in his pocket before setting a realistic BB gun on the counter.

According to an Amazon spokesperson, Morrell was a delivery associate for a third-party delivery service delivering packages for Amazon. He will be "immediately offboarded."

Kamala Harris’s campaign has distanced itself from questions over her 60 Minutes interview after Donald Trump baselessly accused the network of committing a crime with its production of her interview.

Right-wing critics on social media posted side-by-side clips of her preview of her interview — in which Harris delivered a lengthy response to 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker on whether the US lacks influence over Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — next to the same segment in the final broadcast that aired October 7.

The Republican presidential candidate shared the clips on his Truth Social on Thursday, raging against what he called a “giant Fake News Scam” by the network, and launched a conspiracy theory that “her REAL ANSWER WAS CRAZY, OR DUMB, so they actually REPLACED it with another answer in order to save her or, at least, make her look better.”

“A FAKE NEWS SCAM, which is totally illegal,” he said. “TAKE AWAY THE CBS LICENSE. Election Interference. She is a Moron, and the Fake News Media wants to hide that fact. An UNPRECEDENTED SCANDAL!!! The Dems got them to do this and should be forced to concede the Election? WOW!”

The Harris campaign stressed it was not involved in editorial decisions made by networks.

“We do not control CBS’s production decisions and refer questions to CBS,” a spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. The Independent has requested comment from a spokesperson from CBS and 60 Minutes.

Trump has repeatedly called for major broadcasters to be pulled off the air if he dislikes their coverage or publish damning stories about him or his campaign.

He also backed out of his own 60 Minutes appearance entirely. Anchor Scott Pelley told viewers on Monday night’s broadcast that Trump’s campaign “complained that we would fact-check the interview.”

“We fact-check every story,” Pelley said.

Trump’s exit marks the first general election year since 1968 in which both presidential candidates did not appear on 60 Minutes in October.

In a teaser of her appearance, Harris was asked if the US “has no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu.”

“The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel,” she said in response, according to the clip. “And when we think about the threat that Hamas, Hezbollah presents, Iran, I think that it is without any question our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks.”

She continued: “Now the work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire. And we’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders.”

Whitaker then says that “it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.”

“Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,” she replied.

On the October 7 broadcast, this was Harris’s response to Whitaker’s question about the US having any “sway” over Netanyahu:

“The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles.”

When Whitaker says “it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening,” Harris replies: “We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

The woman who alleged that Donald Trump raped her at age 13 at one of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's notorious 'sex parties' fabricated the story, DailyMail.com has learned exclusively.

When the civil suit was initially filed last April, Trump's legal team branded the allegations 'disgusting at the highest level' and a 'hoax' clearly framed to 'solicit media attention or, perhaps... simply politically motivated'.

Clinton supporters had seized on the story as a possible knock out blow.

Then, last Wednesday, Katie Johnson suddenly cancelled a packed press conference at which she was set to reveal herself for the first time, saying she was 'too afraid' following a series of 'threats' against her.

On Friday, six months after legal papers were filed, the civil lawsuit was dramatically dropped.

Social media erupted with claims that the woman had been paid off by Trump or was so terrified by threats to her life from Trump supporters that she was forced to withdraw her claims.

But DailyMail.com has learned that the real reason the suit was dropped is because the claims were simply NOT true.

The woman first sued Trump and Jeffrey Epstein under the name Katie Johnson - a name we know not to be her real identity - on April 26 in California federal court and filed an amended complaint in New York federal court in October, claiming she was subject to rape, criminal sexual acts, assault, battery and false imprisonment.

The court papers offered no corroborative evidence that her claims were true.

News that the allegations were dropped dismayed Hillary supporters who had hoped the claims would be the knock out blow for Trump's election campaign - already rocked in recent weeks by a string of sex assault claims.

Thousands of loyal Hillary followers had opened a discussion about the rape claims on Twitter and other social media networks hoping to damage Trump's push for the White House.

The Huffington Post jumped on the bandwagon of anti-Trump sentiment after she made her claims, asking: 'Donald Trump Is Accused Of Raping A 13-Year-Old. Why Haven't The Media Covered It?'

⁣But DailyMail.com has been told that elements of what Johnson had claimed crumbled at the last minute.
Her claims can today be exposed as untruthful, the key fact being that Donald Trump was not involved whatsoever.
A source with knowledge of the controversial case told DailyMail.com: 'Katie Johnson's account had been believable and compelling right up until the last minute.
'But new information emerged that suggested she had not been telling the truth.
'Ultimately it was discovered that Donald Trump's name had been inserted into this, he was not involved whatsoever. After that she had no credibility.'
The revelation slaps down any suggestion that Johnson dropped the case thanks to a secret financial settlement with Trump, as has been speculated on social media.
It also clears Trump of any hint of wrong doing in association with the lawsuit.
DailyMail.com interviewed Johnson before the case was dropped.
She had claimed her motivation was to tell her story was to expose Donald Trump to stop him from becoming president.
'We would have a rapist in the White House. I would feel horrified every single day if I stay in this country,' she said, in dramatic terms.
Johnson said her experiences in the summer in 1994 still haunt her today.
'As much as I try to forget about everything that happened, it always affects everything in my life,' she said. 'I mean it affects my relationships, I don't think I've ever had a successful relationship, one that I feel I can trust that person, there's always that mistrust.'


⁣But she also said that in 1994 she had no idea who her attacker was and that it was only when she watched The Apprentice that she came to believe it was Trump, claiming that she could not forget her attacker's face.

DailyMail.com has since learned that Johnson has two DUIs and a felony drug possession on her record and a history of drug abuse.

Johnson has a troubled past, and told DailyMail.com that she believes her experiences as a young girl led to those troubles.

The former real estate worker said recent spinal surgery has meant she is unable to work and claims disability welfare.

In lurid claims Johnson in court papers, she claimed Trump took her virginity, forced her in to role-play sex and alleges that he and financier Epstein treated her as a 'sex slave' during an 'horrific' summer in 1994.


Johnson also alleged she was sexually abused by Epstein himself - a convicted pedophile - on two different occasions during the same summer.

Johnson claimed she was forced to perform sex acts on Epstein through threats of 'violence' to her and her family.

She told DailyMail.com about how she first came to jump on a Greyhound bus from small town Oklahoma to New York in a bid to pursue her dream of becoming a model. She was just 13.
She acknowledged in the interview that she had no idea who Donald Trump was at the time.

But she claims that she would never forget his face and it was only years later when Trump starred in The Apprentice that she recognized the man she says sexually assaulted her.

That may be the crucial flaw in her story.

⁣Collin Rugg - NEW: Democrat Boston lawmaker who was charged in a kickback scheme to steal city funds, caught on camera taking office furniture before pleading guilty.

Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson is accused of stealing city funds through a family member.

New footage shows her removing furniture that was put into a U-Haul weeks before she pleaded guilty to the charges. She had not formally resigned when the furniture was removed.

It's unclear if the furniture belonged to her or if it was stolen too.

Anderson is accused of conspiring with a relative on her staff in a kickback scheme with Boston taxpayer funds.

She allegedly gave the relative a $13,000 bonus, who later slipped her $7,000 in cash at a city hall bathroom.
