BREAKING LEAKED VIDEO: CEO of IBM @ArvindKrishna admits to using coercion to fire people and take away their bonuses unless they discriminate in the hiring process.
“You got to move both forward by a percentage that leads to a plus on your bonus," Krishna said about hiring Hispanics, "and by the way if you lose, you lose part of your bonus.”
After pulling ads from X for 'racism,' IBM chief Arvind Krishna says he will fire, demote or strip bonuses from execs who don't hire enough blacks, Hispanics — or hire too many Asians
"Asians are not an underrepresented minority in tech in America...I’m not going to finess this, for blacks we should try to get towards 13 percent," says Krishna.
Paul Cormier, the chairman of Red Hat, a subsidiary of IBM, says in the leaked recording that Red Hat has terminated people because they weren't willing to engage in racial discrimination through hiring and promotion.
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act makes it illegal for employers to discriminate on the basis of race in the workplace.

In a shocking turn of events, a leaked video has surfaced showing IBM CEO Arvind Krishna admitting to using coercion to fire employees and take away their bonuses unless they engage in discriminatory practices during the hiring process. The video has caused an uproar among employees and the public, raising concerns about the company’s ethics and values.
The video, which was leaked by investigative journalist James O’Keefe, shows Krishna discussing the importance of meeting diversity quotas during the hiring process. He explicitly states, “You got to move both forward by a percentage that leads to a plus on your bonus.” This statement suggests that employees are being pressured to discriminate against certain individuals based on their race, gender, or other characteristics.
The revelation has sparked outrage and calls for accountability within the company. Many employees and activists argue that such practices go against IBM’s stated commitment to diversity and inclusion. IBM has long prided itself on being a leader in the technology industry when it comes to promoting diversity and equal opportunity. However, this video raises serious questions about the company’s actual practices behind closed doors.
The leaked video has also caught the attention of legal experts, who argue that the coercion and discrimination described by Krishna may be illegal under various employment laws. If proven true, IBM could face significant legal consequences and damage to its reputation. Discrimination in the workplace is widely condemned and goes against the principles of fairness and equality.
IBM has yet to release an official statement addressing the video. However, it is expected that the company will conduct an internal investigation to determine the veracity of the claims made by Krishna in the leaked video. Additionally, external organizations, such as government agencies and civil rights groups, may launch their own investigations to hold IBM accountable if any wrongdoing is confirmed.
The repercussions of this scandal could extend beyond IBM itself. Other companies in the technology industry and beyond may face increased scrutiny regarding their hiring practices. The leaked video has highlighted the potential existence of systemic discrimination within corporate America, shedding light on a pervasive problem that needs to be addressed.
As the story continues to unfold, it is crucial for IBM to take swift and decisive action. The company must conduct a thorough investigation, hold those responsible accountable, and implement measures to prevent such unethical practices in the future. Transparency and open communication with employees and the public will be essential in rebuilding trust and demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
In conclusion, the leaked video showing IBM CEO Arvind Krishna admitting to using coercion to fire employees and discriminate in the hiring process has ignited a firestorm of controversy. The implications of this scandal reach far beyond IBM, raising concerns about the prevalence of discrimination within corporate America. IBM must act swiftly and decisively to address this issue and restore its reputation as a champion of diversity and inclusion..

Why don't we get reacquainted with DCDave's Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression
Strong, credible allegations of high-level criminal activity can bring down a government. When the government lacks an effective, fact-based defense, other techniques must be employed. The success of these techniques depends heavily upon a cooperative, compliant press and a mere token opposition party.
Dummy up. If it's not reported, if it's not news, it didn't happen.
Wax indignant. This is also known as the "How dare you?" gambit.
Characterize the charges as "rumors" or, better yet, "wild rumors." If, in spite of the news blackout, the public is still able to learn about the suspicious facts, it can only be through "rumors." (If they tend to believe the "rumors" it must be because they are simply "paranoid" or "hysterical.")
Knock down straw men. Deal only with the weakest aspects of the weakest charges. Even better, create your own straw men. Make up wild rumors (or plant false stories) and give them lead play when you appear to debunk all the charges, real and fanciful alike.
Call the skeptics names like "conspiracy theorist," "nutcase," "ranter," "kook," "crackpot," and, of course, "rumor monger." Be sure, too, to use heavily loaded verbs and adjectives when characterizing their charges and defending the "more reasonable" government and its defenders. You must then carefully avoid fair and open debate with any of the people you have thus maligned. For insurance, set up your own "skeptics" to shoot down.
Impugn motives. Attempt to marginalize the critics by suggesting strongly that they are not really interested in the truth but are simply pursuing a partisan political agenda or are out to make money (compared to over-compensated adherents to the government line who, presumably, are not).
Invoke authority. Here the controlled press and the sham opposition can be very useful.
Dismiss the charges as "old news."
Come half-clean. This is also known as "confession and avoidance" or "taking the LIMITED HANGOUT route." This way, you create the impression of candor and honesty while you admit only to relatively harmless, less-than-criminal "mistakes." This stratagem often requires the embrace of a fall-back position quite different from the one originally taken. With effective damage control, the fall-back position need only be peddled by stooge skeptics to carefully limited markets.
Characterize the crimes as impossibly complex and the truth as ultimately unknowable.
Reason backward, using the deductive method with a vengeance. With thoroughly rigorous deduction, troublesome evidence is irrelevant. E.g. We have a completely free press. If evidence exists that the Vince Foster "suicide" note was forged, they would have reported it. They haven't reported it so there is no such evidence. Another variation on this theme involves the likelihood of a conspiracy leaker and a press who would report the leak.
Require the skeptics to solve the crime completely. E.g. If Foster was murdered, who did it and why?
Change the subject. This technique includes creating and/or publicizing distractions.
Lightly report incriminating facts, and then make nothing of them. This is sometimes referred to as "bump and run" reporting.
Baldly and brazenly lie. A favorite way of doing this is to attribute the "facts" furnished the public to a plausible-sounding, but anonymous, source.
Expanding further on numbers 4 and 5, have your own stooges "expose" scandals and champion popular causes. Their job is to pre-empt real opponents and to play 99-yard football. A variation is to pay rich people for the job who will pretend to spend their own money.
Flood the Internet with agents. This is the answer to the question, "What could possibly motivate a person to spend hour upon hour on Internet news groups defending the government and/or the press and harassing genuine critics?" Don t the authorities have defenders enough in all the newspapers, magazines, radio, and television? One would think refusing to print critical letters and screening out serious callers or dumping them from radio talk shows would be control enough, but, obviously, it is not.

The famous dueling banjos scene from the 1972 thriller film Deliverance. The film was shot on and around the Chattooga River in Rabun County, Georgia.
Deliverance is a 1972 American thriller film directed by John Boorman, and starring Jon Voight, Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty and Ronny Cox. Four Atlanta yuppies, Lewis Medlock, Ed Gentry, Bobby Trippe, and Drew Ballinger, decide to canoe down a river in the remote northern Georgia wilderness. The weekend escape turns out to be an escape from the death.
The role of the boy playing the Banjo (the banjo boy) was played by Billy Redden, a local teenager in Georgia. He was selected for a role in Deliverance from his school in Georgia by the director John Boorman. But he didn’t see much money from it and worked at a Walmart to earn his living.

The banjo-playing star of the 1972 thriller film Deliverance looks unrecognizable
Billy Redden, now 66, played Lonnie, a 'backwoods mountain' boy in the movie
He now looks completely unrecognizable and has ditched showbiz
The banjo-playing teen star of the 1972 thriller film Deliverance looks unrecognizable more than five decades after the movie's release as he turns his back on showbiz.
51 years after the film hit theaters, movie lovers are still gushing over the unique character who strummed a banjo in many memorable scenes. However, he has since done his best to vanish from the spotlight and now looks shockingly different from his character.
Billy Redden, now 66, shot to fame when he was just 15 years old by portraying Lonnie, a 'backwoods mountain boy' who blew everyone away with his banjo skills.
Since the film's release, he turned his back on both Hollywood and the banjo as he now takes on a string of jobs to make ends meet and looks nothing like he did when he rose to stardom over 50 years ago.
At the time of the film, Billy wasn't a trained actor but lived in Rabun County, Georgia, which is where the movie was shot.
He was cast due to his thin figure and narrow eyes that made him look like the perfect man for the part.
The flick starred Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty, Ronny Cox, and Jon Voight. The actors play four city-slicker pals who take a canoeing trip to Georgia

But, now, Billy looks completely different than he once did at 15.
He was last seen sporting a short haircut, glasses, and slight scruff as he held onto his reliable banjo.
The flick starred Burt Reynolds, Ned Beatty, Ronny Cox, and Jon Voight. The actors play four city-slicker pals who take a canoeing trip to Georgia.
The friends are determined to take one last trip down a river, however, it quickly takes a dark turn.
Things get even more heated when the businessmen develop an attitude with the locals, prompting the character Drew to enter a musical duel with Lonnie.
Despite the scene becoming famously known as the dueling banjos, it was later revealed that Billy had to wear a special shirt that allowed someone else to stick their hands through and play the banjo during filming since Billy wasn't musically trained.
Following the release of the movie, Billy tried to hold onto his fame for a short period by organizing tourist trips down the Chattooga River, which was featured in the movie.
He played 'banjo man' in a number of other films, including Tim Burton’s 2003 hit Big Fish, Outrage: Born in Terror, Blue Collar TV, and Blastfighter.
He officially left showbiz behind in 2009 and took on other jobs such as a cook, dishwasher, and store associate at Walmart to get by.
Since his departure from the spotlight, he has done everything possible to get rid of the image tied to those in his county that came from the film.
In the 2012 documentary, The Deliverance of Rabun County, he said: 'We're not a bad people up here, we're a loving people. Rabun County is a pretty good town. It's real peaceful, not a lot of crime going on. Everybody pretty much gets along with everybody.'

Mob attacks people leaving Kyle Rittenhouse event.
Imagine a mob of white people rushing an event screaming and inciting violence against any other race. Imagine the mass hysteria that would follow.
Video [not the above] shot by Julio Rosas, one of the best on-the-ground reporters in the world, shows a very angry mob chasing people down who attended the speech. Racial slurs could be heard, police rushed people out of the area and did what they could to protect people as the mob descended on them

On Wednesday evening, as Kyle Rittenhouse prepared to speak at the UC Theatre at the University of Memphis, roughly 200 people gathered outside to protest his appearance.
In August 2020, a 17-year-old Rittenhouse shot and killed two demonstrators in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and injured a third, who had been protesting the shooting of a Black man by a white police officer. He claimed self-defense and was acquitted of criminal accusations in fall 2021, but became a divisive figure across the country.
And many U of M students and community members were furious he was speaking at the university.
One protester held up a sign that said, “Put Rittenhouse behind bars not a podium,” while another’s display said, “Murderers don’t belong here.” A third sign said, “Face of a Weenie,” next to photos of Rittenhouse, and a fourth said, “No one should be open to: Racism, Christo-Fascism, Murderous Little Shits.”
As the crowd grew, a group walked up holding signs and chanting, “No Justice, no peace.” They continued their chants periodically, and someone banged along on a trash can like it was a drum.
The protesters congregated near the entrance to the UC Theatre ― part of the University Center ― which was blocked off by several campus police vehicles and metal fencing, and guarded by both campus police and state troopers. A line of people attending the event began to form shortly after 6 p.m., behind the fencing.
The event started around 7 p.m., but the protesters continued to stand out and chant, even after the doors were closed. As the sun began to set and the air cooled, a saxophonist and drummer started performing.
How we got here
In the days leading up to Kyle Rittenhouse’s talk at the University of Memphis on Mar. 20, the institution was inundated with complaints from students, alumni, and community members who were furious he had been invited to speak.
U of M wasn’t sponsoring the event; it had been arranged by the student chapter of the conservative nonprofit Turning Point USA. The school also maintained that it was legally required to let Rittenhouse talk, per the First Amendment and Tennessee’s Campus Free Speech Act.
But this didn’t assuage people who were upset, and in response to concerns, U of M released a statement earlier this month, reiterating that it was following the law. It asserted that “the expression of different ideas and opinions plays an important role in maintaining a diverse campus environment that is open and inclusive.” And it encouraged people to remain peaceful and respectful, however they may feel about Rittenhouse’s appearance.
“It is essential that these discussions take place while maintaining a safe environment on our campus,” U of M said, in the statement. “Speech that includes threats, harassment, or attempts to incite violence is not protected under the First Amendment and is strongly prohibited by the university.”
The university also noted that campus police services had “a comprehensive plan” to address potential safety concerns related to the event and that it was working with local law enforcement and providing additional security staffing before, during, and after it ended.
Why people showed up
On Wednesday night, The Commercial Appeal asked several demonstrators what had spurred them to come protest.
Alexis Kershaw, a U of M senior, said, “I’m Black, so I feel like that was really enough,” then added that she was a part of organizations that had been discussing peacefully protesting, like the Black Student Association.
Emily Estrada, a U of M freshman who was there with Memphis Wesley ― a campus ministry associated with the United Methodist Church ― felt that what Rittenhouse did “wasn’t right.”
“There are people who have gone to jail for far less worse crimes,” she said.
Also there with Memphis Wesley was Tondala Hayward, the group’s pastor, who explained that it was important for the ministry to be there because it was focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
But while most of the crowd seemed to be protesting the Rittenhouse event, there were people there who appeared to support him ― or at least weren’t staunchly opposed to the event.

Found an interesting article that may shed some light upon those nebulous YouTube community standards:
https://www.hollywoodreporter.....com/news/music-news/
YouTube and Google‘s global head of music Lyor Cohen has been confirmed to receive City of Hope’s highest honor, the Spirit of Life Award, at its fall gala.
The veteran music executive will receive the shine on Oct. 18 at West Hollywood’s Pacific Design Center. The Spirit of Life Award is “presented to an esteemed community of industry leaders around the world who have made a significant commitment to improving the lives of others through the advancement of research and clinical innovation and the delivery of personalized, compassionate care,” per City of Hope.
Once he takes a spin at the podium, Lyor will join a list of previous recipients that includes Shelli and Irving Azoff, Edgar Bronfman Jr., Coran Capshaw, Eddy Cue, Clive Davis, Lucian Grainge, Allen Grubman, Quincy Jones, Rob Light, Monte and Avery Lipman, Doug Morris, Mo Ostin, Bob Pittman, Jon Platt and Sylvia Rhone, among others.
“If you have the opportunity to give a gift back to the industry you love, with an organization like City of Hope, whose doctors and scientists’ passion for helping others is so extraordinary, it’s a no-brainer,” Cohen said. “My career has been shaped by a contrarian point of view. Open to making mistakes, making big bets, unpopular decisions and being comfortable with change; that is how culture shifts and how breakthroughs happen. To me, these are many of the same qualities that make City of Hope’s mission to transform the future of cancer care across all communities so impactful.”
Cohen began his career as a road manager for Run DMC and the Beastie Boys, before taking on a variety of leadership roles across the music business, from management to the highest-level C-suites. His resume features top posts as Def Jam, Island Def Jam Music Group, Warner Music Group, 300 Entertainment and now, YouTube. Cohen sits on the board of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the National Independent Venue Association, and is an acting director for SCAN-Harbor.
“In addition to Lyor powering American hip hop as a cultural and musical phenomenon, I have known him to have a big heart and passion when it comes to helping others. This is certainly a prime example of that as he now takes an incredible step in helping City of Hope fight cancer, diabetes and HIV,” offered Evan Lamberg, president of Universal Music Publishing Group North America and president of City of Hope’s music, film and entertainment industry board.
News of Cohen’s honor kicks off a year long fundraising initiative for City of Hope that fundraisers like the Taste of Hope wine dinner and auction (May 17 in New York), Music Trivia Bowl (July 20 in Los Angeles) and the Songs of Hope event.

Former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has confirmed that Israel implemented the controversial "Hannibal Directive" during the October 7 Hamas attacks, marking the first official acknowledgment. The directive, which allows military action to prevent captives from being taken—even at the risk of their lives—was reportedly used in specific areas but inconsistently applied. Investigations have revealed that some Israeli hostages were killed by friendly fire, sparking criticism over military decision-making. The revelation adds to the controversy surrounding Israel’s handling of hostages and the wider security response.

U. S. Wars & Hostile Actions: A List
There is a reason that most countries polled in December 2013 by Gallup called the United States the greatest threat to peace in the world, and why Pew found that viewpoint increased in 2017.
But it is a reason that eludes that strain of U.S. academia that first defines war as something that nations and groups other than the United States do, and then concludes that war has nearly vanished from the earth.
Since World War II, during a supposed golden age of peace, the United States military has killed or helped kill some 20 million people, overthrown at least 36 governments, interfered in at least 86 foreign elections, attempted to assassinate over 50 foreign leaders, and dropped bombs on people in over 30 countries. The United States is responsible for the deaths of 5 million people in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, and over 1 million just since 2003 in Iraq.
Since 2001, the United States has been systematically destroying a region of the globe, bombing Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, and Syria, not to mention the Philippines. The United States has “special forces” operating in two-thirds of the world’s countries and non-special forces in three-quarters of them.
See also How Many Millions Have Been Killed in America’s Post-9/11 Wars? Part 3: Libya, Syria, Somalia and Yemen by Nicolas Davies From 2018, this article estimates 5 to 7 million people directly killed by U.S. wars since 2001 in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, Syria, Somalia and Yemen.
See also How Death Outlives War by Costs of War. From 2023, this report estimates 4.5 to 4.6 million people killed directly or indirectly by U.S. wars since 2001 in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and Yemen.
