Mary was a little girl found raped & murdered in a factory by Leo Frank.

She was raped. Because she was a child & a virgin, this caused considerable damage to her tiny body.

“I made an examination of the privates of Mary Phagan. I found no spermatozoa. On the walls of the vagina there was evidences of violence of some kind. The epithelium was pulled loose, completely detached in places, blood vessels were dilated immediately beneath the surface and a great deal of hemorrhage in the surrounding tissues. The dilation of the blood vessels indicated to me that the injury had been made in the vagina some little time before death.”


When he was done, he tied a cord around her neck & strangled her to death.

“The fact that the child was strangled to death was indicated by the lividity, the blueness of the parts, the congestion of the tongue and mouth and the blueness of the hands and fingernails.”

Opening arguments began on Friday morning in the case of Daniel Penny, a former Marine accused of manslaughter in the death of homeless man Jordan Neely on an uptown F train in Manhattan in 2023. Video from Neely's final moments was shown in court, and it revealed that by the time NYPD officers arrived, Neely still had a pulse.

Neely was allegedly threatening passengers on the subway when Penny and a few other men sought to restrain him and protect the other passengers. Penny put Neely in a chokehold and held him restrained as the subway came into the station. Two officers were called to the scene, arriving at 2:33 pm, and the video shows that they found a pulse.

"I got a pulse," an officer said. The second officer confirmed that finding. Neely was unconscious on the floor of the subway car. The officers who testified at the trial on Friday said that because Neely was a drug user, neither he nor anyone on his team provided mouth-to-mouth. They told the court that they did not want to get hepatitis, per The Daily Mail.

"I put him out," Penny said when asked by police how Neely ended up on the floor. Officers then gave Narcan to Neely and at 2:38 pm began CPR. Paramedics arrived at the scene at 2:48. At 3:13 pm, Neely was still on the train being tended to by paramedics from Northwell Health.

That is the end of the video. Neely was pronounced dead at Lenox Hospital. The prosecution told the court that the entire length of time, from when Neely arrived on the train car, to when he was restrained, to when the doors opened at the next station, was just 30 seconds. They claimed that Penny kept Neely restrained for another nearly 6 minutes.

Penny's attorney Thomas Kenniff said that Penny was not "squeezing his neck" for the entire time because that would have resulted in Neely passing out within the first minute. Penny, he said, only intended to hold Neely until officers arrived, which "took way longer than expected," Kenniff said. It was 7 minutes between when officers were called to when they arrived.

Officers further testified as to Neely's condition, saying that "he was filthy" and that they had to protect the officers. "I wouldn't want my officer to get sick if the person throws up," said an officer.

The trial is anticipated to last six weeks. An ADA with Alvin Bragg's office said it could be hard to convict, since Penny intended no harm to come to Neely.

ADA COUNTY, Idaho — Police are investigating two deadly stabbings in two separate locations Wednesday that appear to be linked.

Nampa police say they first got a call Tuesday night at 8:43 p.m. from someone reporting a stabbing in the 2100 block of W. Grouse St.

When they arrived on the scene, officers say they found a woman with several stab wounds. Emergency crews tried to save her, but she died from her injuries at the scene. Police identified her as Michelle Luna, 52, of Nampa.

Police say they identified a suspect: Jesus Urrutia, 39, of Nampa, and started looking around the area for him.

Just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, Ada County Sheriff's deputies received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in a gas station parking lot at the Avimor subdivision north of Eagle, over 25 miles from Nampa.

Deputies arrived at the gas station several minutes later and found an adult man slumped over in a car, which was running but in park. Deputies got the man out of the car and began first aid, including CPR, until paramedics arrived. He had a visible stab wound. Paramedics took the man to a local hospital, where he was declared dead a brief time later. Nampa police identified the man in the car as Urrutia.

Ada County deputies say Raul Cuevas, 31, of Nampa, was identified as the suspect in Urrutia's death. Nampa police say the victim in the Nampa stabbing, Michelle Luna, is Cuevas' mother.

Deputies found Cuevas at the Chevron gas station at the corner of Highway 55 and Beacon Light Road. The sheriff's office said deputies talked to him and eventually arrested him there in connection with the stabbing at Avimor.

The investigation remains active. The sheriff's office said deputies and detectives are developing evidence and pursuing several different leads.

When Lotte was born, she was changing at such a rapid pace, and I was desperate to keep the memories intact. As any parent knows, the difference between a child at two days old and two months old is startling. When Vince was born, I started filming him too. Other people might make a photo book, but I decided to film. This is the most photographed and filmed generation ever, but what are we actually doing with these pictures? They just sit in a file on the computer. I wanted to try and convey the essence of my children, of how they look to me. We don’t often look at the photographs we take, not in the same way that an artist would look at his paintings.
