What we know about the incident
A 37-year-old woman was fatally shot by an ICE agent today after a group of people began blocking officers during an immigration-related operation in Minneapolis, the Department of Homeland Security said.
Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin alleged that the driver "weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them."
In a news conference, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said it did not appear from video of the incident that the vehicle was being weaponized against the agent. He called for ICE to leave the city, saying the agency is “causing chaos and distrust.”
Video footage from NBC affiliate KARE 11 of Minneapolis showed a burgundy SUV with what appears to be a bullet hole in the windshield. It’s not clear to whom the SUV belongs or from where the bullet was shot.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz pushed back on Homeland Security's account of the shooting, saying he has "seen the video." "Don’t believe this propaganda machine," he added.

Does adrenochrome actually exist?
Like most conspiracy theories, there is truth to small parts of the adrenochrome story.
Adrenochrome is not completely made-up – it is a chemical compound that is produced by the oxidation of adrenaline.
The SpinOff reported it can be used – though it does not appear to be widely used – to slow blood loss by promoting blood clotting in open wounds. It found most sellers state its source is synthetic.
Psychiatrists Abram Hoffer and Humphrey Osmond in the 1950s claimed that adrenochrome can form in the brain and may play a role in mental illnesses. They speculated that high doses of vitamin C and niacin could cure schizophrenia by reducing adrenochrome in the brain.
Other studies testing the use of megavitamin therapy to treat schozophrenia did not confirm any benefits of the treatment.
There have also been mentions of adrenochrome in fiction, which may be helping to back up the idea of adrenochrome as a recreational drug.
It features briefly in Hunter S Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas – both the book and the movie adaptation:
In the story, the character Dr Gonzo says there is only one source of the drug – the adrenaline glands from a living human body.
“It’s not good if you get it out of a corpse,” he says.
In the novel A Clockwork Orange, there is also a mention of ‘drencrom’ as an addition to the cocktail Moloko Plus.
There is no evidence that adrenochrome is widely used by celebrities – particularly those in Hollywood – as a hallucinogenic drug, or for any other purpose.
There is also no evidence that it is harvested from children who are part of a trafficking ring.
And there is no evidence of any link between adrenochrome and celebrities contracting the coronavirus.

What we know about NYC subway choking victim Jordan Neely
Who is Neely?
Jordan Neely, 30, a homeless man, was strangled aboard a northbound F train just before 2:30 p.m. on May 1, according to police.
He reportedly started acting erratically on the train and harassing other passengers before being restrained and ultimately choked by a straphanger, identified as a 24-year-old Marine from Queens.
The Marine, who was seen on video applying the chokehold, was taken into custody and later released but the DA is mulling charges, which could include involuntary manslaughter, according to experts.
Why is there fallout over Neely’s death?
The city medical examiner ruled Neely’s death a homicide, noting he died due to “compression of neck (chokehold).” This will be weighed during the investigation into whether charges will be brought for Neely’s death.
Neely’s aunt told The Post that he became a “complete mess” following the brutal murder of his mother in 2007. She noted he was schizophrenic while suffering from PTSD and depression.
“The whole system just failed him. He fell through the cracks of the system,” Carolyn Neely said.
Law enforcement sources said Neely had “numerous” arrests on his record, including for drugs, disorderly conduct, and fare beating.
At the time of his death, Neely had a warrant out for his arrest for a November 2021 case in which he was accused of assaulting a 67-year-old woman in the East Village, the sources said.
Mayor Eric Adams has said it’s important for the DA to complete the investigation into Neely’s death and not rush to conclusions.
