⁣(ASSOCIATED PRESS) — Nude photos. The names and faces of sexual abuse victims. Bank account and Social Security numbers in full view.

All of these things appeared in the mountain of documents released Friday by the U.S. Justice Department as part of its effort to comply with a law requiring it to open its investigative files on Jeffrey Epstein.

That law was intended to preserve important privacy protections for Epstein’s victims. Their names were supposed to have been blacked out in documents. Their faces and bodies were supposed to be obscured in photos.

Mistakes, though, have been rampant. A review by The Associated Press and other news organizations has found countless examples of sloppy, inconsistent or nonexistent redactions that have revealed sensitive private information.

A photo of one girl who was underage when she was hired to give sexualized massages to Epstein in Florida appeared in a chart of his alleged victims. Police reports with the names of several of his victims, including some who have never stepped forward to identify themselves publicly, were released with no redactions at all.

Despite the Justice Department’s efforts to fix the oversights, a selfie taken by a nude female in a bathroom and another by a topless female remained on the site, their ages unknown but their faces in full view, as of Wednesday evening.

Some accusers and their lawyers called this week for the Justice Department to take down the site and appoint an independent monitor to prevent further errors.

A long time ago, on a visit to Fenway Park, my brother reached over the railing of the stands and filled a paper cup with dirt from the warning track on the field. He kept this cup of dirt -- later transferred to a jar -- as a souvenir of his visit to the ballgame. He was proud of it. Years later, after his untimely death, I came across his jar of dirt among his personal affects, and I kept it.

I don't know why. It was just a jar of dirt.

⁣In just half a year, life's taken a massive turn for Hawk Tuah girl Haliey Welch - whose been facing criticism from MLB fans. Come June, she found herself in the global spotlight thanks to a viral quip.

Her journey from obscurity to fame, - where she revealed her biggest fear - however, has hit a snag as she now faces potential legal troubles over an alleged crypto memecoin 'scam'. What led to her dramatic rise and sudden fall? Let's delve into her story.

Believe it or not, earlier this year Haliey was working away in a spring factory in Belfast, Tennessee, having quit school a while back. She called the tiny town home, living with her Granny Janie who expressed shock at her granddaughter's unexpected fame.

"I don't know how to feel, it's crazy. I never thought anything like this would happen. It's just too much to comprehend," she said, reports the Daily Star.

During her chat on the Good For You podcast, 22-year-old Haliey made some heartfelt disclosures about her tough upbringing, referring to herself as a "crack baby." When asked about her mother, she responded, "My mama a crackhead, you don't want here."

She went on to say, "Yeah, I'm a crack baby. Why do you think I'm so funny? ". Despite being brought up by her grandmother, in a separate heart-to-heart Haliey shared that she's out of touch with her mother and clueless about her current whereabouts.

Speaking to Bill Maher, she said, "I've done this long without her; I don't need her now. Never have. Because I got my granny girl."

Nashvillian native Haliey rose to internet fame after a candid street interview with Tim and Dee TV gained widespread attention. Her claim to fame began when she was asked about the one move in bed that drives men wild. She responded with a cheeky comment, saying, "Oh, you gotta give him that 'huak tuah' and spit on that thang."

At the time of the video, Haliey had been attending the CMA Fest in Nashville and admitted having had a few drinks when the TikTokers approached her. She later clarified that her comment was meant as a joke and she "didn't mean anything by it."

After the video went viral, she left her job at a bed spring factory, and by the end of June, she had secured a merchandise deal with Fathead Threats. Before she knew it, she was singing on stage with country singer Zach Bryan and had sold $65,000 worth of merchandise.

Unfortunately for Haliey, who now boasts 2.6 million Instagram followers, she's become infamous for something else entirely. After a whirlwind six months, Haliey's world came crashing down following the failure of her own cryptocurrency memecoin HAWK.

Memecoins are a type of cryptocurrency that is based on viral memes and pop culture references. Accusations of insider trading have been leveled at her, and she could face criminal charges after some fans claimed they lost their "life savings" on it.

If dodgy dealings are proven, the bigwigs at the Department of Justice (DOJ) might well slap on heavy-duty charges like money laundering or wire fraud.

Tucker Carlson was called to Washington because of a possible interview with Putin.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson said the US National Security Agency hacked into his Signal account and read correspondence about a planned interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the presenter, he received a call and was summoned to Washington to clarify the situation. When he arrived, the question was asked if he was planning a trip to meet with Putin.

“How did you know, I didn’t tell anyone. Not at all. Not to my brother, not to my wife, not to anyone at all. How did you know? Because the NSA hacked into your correspondence with another person with whom you discussed this,” Carlson said.

The day before, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan said that Tucker Carlson wants to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Scoop: Tucker Carlson sought Putin interview at time of spying claim

Tucker Carlson was talking to U.S.-based Kremlin intermediaries about setting up an interview with Vladimir Putin shortly before the Fox News host accused the National Security Agency of spying on him, sources familiar with the conversations tell Axios.

Why it matters: Those sources said U.S. government officials learned about Carlson's efforts to secure the Putin interview.
Carlson learned that the government was aware of his outreach — and that's the basis of his extraordinary accusation, followed by a rare public denial by the NSA that he had been targeted.

Axios has not confirmed whether any communications from Carlson have been intercepted, and if so, why.

The big picture: Carlson's charges instantly became a cause célèbre on the right, which feasted on the allegation that one of
America's most prominent conservatives might have been monitored by the U.S. intelligence community.

The backstory: Carlson told his roughly 3 million viewers on June 28 that the day before, he had heard "from a whistleblower within the U.S. government who reached out to warn us that the NSA … is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air."

Carlson said his source, "who is in a position to know, repeated back to us information about a story that we are working on that could have only come directly from my texts and emails."

"It's illegal for the NSA to spy on American citizens," Carlson added. "Things like that should not happen in America. But unfortunately, they do happen. And in this case, they did happen."

The NSA said in a tweet the next night, as Carlson's show went on the air, that his "allegation is untrue."

"Tucker Carlson has never been an intelligence target of the Agency and the NSA has never had any plans to try to take his program off the air," the statement said.

A Fox News spokesperson gave this response to our reporting: "We support any of our hosts pursuing interviews and stories free of government interference."

And Carlson gave this statement: "As I've said repeatedly, because it's true, the NSA read my emails, and then leaked their contents. That's an outrage, as well as illegal.”

It is unclear why Carlson, or his source, would think this outreach could be the basis for NSA surveillance or a motive to have his show canceled.

Journalists routinely reach out to world leaders — including the leaders of countries that are not allied with the U.S. — to request interviews. And it's not unusual to first reach out through unofficial intermediaries rather than through the leaders' official press offices.

Numerous American journalists have interviewed Putin in recent years, and none have faced professional repercussions. Quite the contrary: Chris Wallace earned Fox News its first Emmy nomination for his 2018 Putin interview.
On Wednesday, Carlson told Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business that only his executive producer knew about the communications in question and that he didn't mention it to anybody else, including his wife.

But, of course, the recipients of Carlson's texts and emails also knew about their content. And we don't know how widely they shared this information.

Between the lines: The NSA's public statement didn't directly deny that any Carlson communications had been swept up by the agency.

Axios submitted a request for comment to the NSA on Wednesday, asking whether the agency would also be willing to categorically deny that the NSA intercepted any of Carlson's communications in the context of monitoring somebody he was talking to in his efforts to set up an interview with Putin.

A row has broken out over the Son of God and Nasa , as a Christian group working with the space agency claims members have been banned from using Jesus' name.

The JSC Praise and Worship Club, which operates at Nasa's Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Texas, say they've been told to stop using the name in club announcements that appeared in a centre newsletter.

They have since filed a complaint against the restriction, which has allegedly come from Nasa attorneys.

Nasa engineer Sophia Smith said that she was "shocked" and "very frustrated".

“Nasa has a long history of respecting religious speech . Why wouldn’t they allow us to put the name Jesus in the announcement about our club?” she told Fox News .

The newsletter, which is sent out on email, alerts members of the centre to events from dance classes to football games.

Religious liberty law firm Liberty Institute has issued a threat of a federal lawsuit over the freedom of religious expression for government employees unless Nasa makes an apology and lifts the ban.

Nasa has released a statement saying that it does not prohibit the use of any specific religious names in employee newsletters or other internal communications.

“The agency allows a host of employee-led civic, professional, religious and other organizations to meet on Nasa property on employee’s own time.
"Consistent with federal law, Nasa attempts to balance employee’s rights to freely exercise religious beliefs with its obligation to ensure there is no government endorsement of religion.

"We believe in and encourage open and diverse dialogue among our employees and across the agency.”

The Nasa JSC Praise and Worship Club began in 2001, with members meeting during the lunch hour to discuss matters of the Christian faith and sing Christian songs.

According to attorney Jeremy Dys, the May 28, 2015 newsletter carried an announcement reading: "Join with the praise and worship band 'Allied with the Lord' for a refreshing set of spring praise and worship songs...

"The theme for this session will be 'Jesus is our life!' Prayer partners will be available for anyone who has need. All JSC civil servants and contractors are welcome."

The legal department subsequently contacted the club.

Liberty Institute's complain alleges that the club was told “Nasa would be censoring all future club announcements that featured the name, ‘Jesus’", adding that the name made announcements “sectarian” or “denominational".

In order to illustrate Nasa's religious history, the Liberty Institute's website details that in February 1962, Nasa astronaut Scott Carpenter quipped, “Godspeed, John Glenn” as Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth.

In 1968, Apollo 8 astronauts - Bill Anders, Jim Lovell, and Frank Borman - read the Creation account from Genesis 1 while orbiting the moon on Christmas Eve.

They note that: "Infamous atheist, Madalyn Murray O’Hair, sued Nasa over this - and lost - in O’Hair v. Payne, 1969."

⁣An 85-year-old woman in Idaho woke up at 2:00 a.m. to an intruder standing over her, pointing a 9mm pistol at her. The robber hit her, then took her into her living room, where he handcuffed her to a chair and demanded valuables.
She then told the robber there were safes with valuables downstairs. When he went downstairs to look, she dragged herself–chair and all–to where she kept her revolver, retrieved it, and waited for the robber to come back upstairs.
He returned in a rage because he had discovered her disabled son was in the home.
Seeing her moment, the 85-year-old woman grabbed the revolver and shot the intruder twice.
He returned fire, shooting in her arm, leg, chest, and abdomen.
However, the robber’s wounds caught up with him as he struggled to the kitchen, where he died.
Being 85 means this woman is part of The Silent Generation. If you know anything about the Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, &Generation X, they're psychos, in the best way possible, because they were raised differently.
This actually reminds me of a post I saw that said:
"Don't mess around with anyone over 42, they built different, their families had them formally trained in something by the time they were 2, they had keys to the house by age 5, could cook full meals at 7 and were pretty much self sufficient at 9.
They left their house at dawn every Summer morning and didn't come back til nightfall and survived all day on water from garden hoses, they might get a sandwich on the off chance somebody's parents had went shopping, they spent three quarters of their lives by themselves with a parent maybe checking on them twice a month, most of them have evaded at least one kidnapping attempt, and, they know 15 different ways to remove blood stains from clothing.
They are the real f&^k around and find-out people. "
And this robber learned this the hard way.
This demonstrates the power of self-reliance.
People from generation x and back lived an existence where they were thought that their safety was in their hands and no one else.
They didn't wait on the government to keep them safe, they did it themselves and they leaned on the second amendment to do it.

It is blatantly obvious that religion has been teaching either half truths or full out lies, right from the start. According to the Christian bible, God created Adam and Eve and told them to be fruitful and multiply. Based under this premise, we would all be the products of incest.
There are four different blood types (A, B, AB and O) along with 2 different Rh values (positive and negative). It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to have 4 different blood types and 2 different Rh blood values all originating from Adam and Eve, yet people happily accept this as the truth without ever questioning their human origins.
The bible dates back to approximately 6,000 years ago. Assuming God created everything at that point in time, then there shouldn't be any fossils older than 6,000 years of age.
In Genesis 1:26, it is stated, “Let US make man in OUR own image…”. Who is US and OUR? Some religious zealots will say it's the Father, son and the Holy Ghost, but this was LONG before the “son” was conceptualized, let alone Adam or Eve.
Another example would be Noah and his alleged gathering of every pair of animals on the planet. How did he gather animals that were not indigenous to the Middle East, such as polar bears, penguins and sea lions?
Most people have an equally hard time understanding that both religions and governments will lie to you in order to fulfill an agenda. In religion, look no further than several clergy members of the Roman Catholic Church who admitted that the fictitious hell does not exist.

WHEN Republican supporter Corey met trans woman, Evee, on Tinder, he knew he had to drop her a DM. He told Love Don't Judge: "I ended up shooting her a message. ⁣INGLEWOOD, California—Given a live global platform Saturday night by Netflix, Katt Williams closed out an electric hour of comedy punctuated by multiple audio/visual cues with a call for the United States to pay out reparations for enslaving generations of Black Americans, and citing our eager willingness to fund other nations such as Ukraine right now as proof of concept.

“It is now time for Black people in America to get paid reparations for everything that them and their ancestors have been through in American history,” Williams declared in front of 6,000 in attendance at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, plus upward of millions more watching live on Netflix. “Why now, Katt? Thanks for asking, white friends. I’ll tell you why now. And understand white friends, I don’t speak for all Black people. But I do speak for all n—rs. And you are not supposed to know the difference.”

Williams continued: “The time is now. And understand, white friends. I know you’re thinking, no seriously, Katt, why now? I’ll tell you why. And these are the facts. We just gave $100 billion to the Ukraine. And God bless the Ukrainians. But off the record? We don’t know them n—-rs like that! You could’ve gave that money to Black people. The fuck? We done gave them all that money. The truth is they over there getting their ass whooped over there. You coulda gave that money to the Black people of Los Angeles, and they’d have went over there and whooped their ass in two weeks. Look. It looks like reparations is for Black people. But it’s not. It’s for you, white friend. It’s for you. It’s going to help us, but it’s for you. Sure, every Black person going to wake up with $20 million in the bank. So the fuck what? It’s for you, white friends. You think American been great before? Wait til we got a country full of rich n—rs. This fitting to be the greatest country in the world, bitch!”

The comedian also hoped to persuade more conservative white Americans to support reparations by appealing to their baser instincts.

“White friend, don’t you want to get slavery behind you? You never had a slave in your motherfucking life. Get this past you. You pay them reparations, racism is dead. Get it past you, white friends,” Williams concluded. “Here’s what they won’t tell you, white friends. You pay them reparations, you can say n—r any time you want to, do you hear me?”

Katt Williams: Woke Foke, just the second stand-up special streamed live globally by Netflix after last year’s Chris Rock: Selective Outrage, was one of the centerpiece events of the second-ever Netflix Is a Joke Fest, happening through the first 12 days and nights of May across Los Angeles. Williams had several comedians warm up the audience in the two hours leading up to livestream, and he opened by expressing his gratitude at how far he’d come since his early years. “It was ’99 and the 2000s and I was in this Inglewood at the Hollywood Park Casino for $100 a week, and God brought me 24 Kobe years later, bam! Live. Right here in motherfucking Inglewood. God really is the greatest.”

Part of what drew Netflix to picking Williams for their next live special was his three-hour performance on retired footballer Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, which has racked up more than 68 million views since premiering Jan. 3 on YouTube. The comedian made sure to shout that out early in his hour, too: “I tried to be incog-Negro but thanks to Shannon Sharpe’s loudmouth ass, the gig is up. Everybody knows I’ll tell. But I don’t do no snitching! Y’all know my job. In my spare time I infiltrate the Illuminati. Look for their secrets. Run back. Tell y’all. And they’d kill me if they could, but I’m too fast, and the Lord keep blessing me.”

Although Williams did name-check many entertainers and politicians in the hour—among them, Nick Cannon, Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, Da Brat, Trick Daddy, Tory Lanez, Lizzo, Sharon Osbourne, P. Diddy, Wayne Brady, Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis—none of it rose to quite the same salacious level as the fires he stoked in January.

For example, lampooning the FBI’s non-investigation into a bag of cocaine found inside the White House, Williams showed a giant photo of a baggie labeled “Hunter’s Blow” to suggest the true culprit, then added: “Hunter on crack. Joe asleep. The only person really working at the White house behind the scenes is Joe Biden’s German Shepherd named Commander.” He then showed a photo of the president with his pooch, while joking about how many Secret Service agents Commander Biden had bitten.
