Stacie-Marie Laughton, a former New Hampshire lawmaker who is believed to be the first elected openly transgender lawmaker in U.S. history, recently pleaded guilty to child sex abuse charges in federal court.

According to WMUR, the 41-year-old ex-politician recently entered her plea in a Boston federal courtroom. The charges included sexual exploitation of children involving child sexual abuse materials.

Laughton, who authorities identify using feminine pronouns, is accused of working with her ex-girlfriend Lindsay Groves to exploit children at a daycare center called Creative Minds in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts.

Groves, a former employee of the daycare center, took nude photographs of children and sent them to Laughton in 2022, while Laughton served as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives.

According to an affidavit filed that year, authorities said that Groves took four photos of children under the age of 5.

Per the filing, Laughton and Groves "exchanged thousands of text messages" around the time that the images were sent. In the messages, Laughton expressed interest in having sex with the children, according to investigators.

When Laughton was elected as a state representative in 2012, she was considered to be the first openly transgender person elected to a state legislature. She was also the first one in New Hampshire's history.

However, Althea Garrison, a former Massachusetts state representative elected in 1992, was technically the first transgender elected lawmaker, though not openly. She did not come out until shortly after the 1992 election.

Laughton's political career was marked by complications and legal troubles. Shortly after Laughton was elected in 2012, she announced that she would not serve due to previous felony-level credit card fraud convictions.

She tried to run again in 2014, but the New Hampshire Ballot Law Commission denied her request on the basis of the suspended sentence. In 2020, Laughton ran to represent the New Hampshire House of Representatives for District 31 and won.

She represented Nashua's Ward 3 until 2022, when she resigned after being arrested over a stalking incident.

The Events Of September 11, 2001, Are A PSY-OP From Beginning To End
It's been over fifteen years since the events of September 11, 2001; yet, we haven't yet seen any possibility of bringing those whom perpetrated the event to justice...at least, until NOW. That's a hell of a claim to make.

I can back it up.

I was going to do this in video form, but as a one-man operation, it could be messy, and not look at all professional. Feel free to take this information and make a goo video out of it - just be sure to credit hANOVER fIST when you do. So...here we go.

Not many people were aware of the "collapse" of the Salomon Brothers Building n that day; some people are still only aware of the WTC Buildings 1 and 2, even to this day. The Salomon Brothers Building is more popularly known as WTC Building Seven, or WTC7. This building housed former NYC Mayor Rudolph "America's Asshole" Giuliani's Emergency Preparedness Center, recommended by Jerome Hauer. It IS the smoking gun of the events of September 11.

Here's why: The script followed every mass casualty event since: the event begins; seeds are planted as to whom the perps are; the event continues; crisis actors establish pre-planned storylines; the event concludes; perps are identified/caught/murdered. Have I missed anything? So far, I haven't said anything that you haven't read on any site worth its pixels. Here's the thinking that went outside the box. The planners weren't American, because of Greenwich Mean Time.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?

The appearance of Flight 93 at the site of WTC7 fell through, but the planners quickly regained their wits, and set up their back-up plan. WTC7 was ALWAYS meant to go belly-up, consdering the hardware that had to be removed from sight. Barry Jennings was also a loose cannon who had to be liquidated. So, plans were set to "pull" WTC7 later in the day, after everything seemed to be at its end. So the script set forward, "WTC7 to go at 4:20 PM". I thought about this for a while. 4:20 is a reference to marijuana, and being able to align the reference to arijuana to a catastrophic event such as a building collapse would fuck with the brains of stoners from here until time immemorial.

Sheer luck screwed that up for them; that, and someone whom couldn't correctly translate GMT into Eastern without using two hands, their feet and a calculator.

Crews began a defensive fire attack and immediately requested additional resources to the 9500 block of Merrill Avenue.

Despite having the fire under control, Ontario crews said they would remain on scene overnight to continue mopping up any hotspots.

Aerial footage showed clouds of black smoke covering the nearby area and ash flying in the air. Fire officials urged children and seniors near the fire to remain indoors due to the poor air quality. Video from the scene hours after the fire first erupted showed ash fluttering through the air and burned paper in the yards of homes across the street from the warehouse.

Authorities said the 1.2 million square-foot warehouse was a Kimberly-Clark distribution center that contained paper goods, which contributed to the intensity of the blaze.

Cal Fire officials said that despite the sprinklers being active when the fire erupted, the flames were located throughout the warehouse and they realized that the blaze was likely not an accident.

"We are aware of the fire at our distribution center in Ontario, California, earlier today. Safety is our top priority, and we can confirm there are no reported injuries," a spokesperson for Kimberly-Clark said. "The facility is operated by a third-party partner, and we are working closely with them and local authorities."

Kimberly-Clark is a well-known company that manufactures paper-based brands like Kleenex, Huggies, Kotex, Cottonelle and Scott. The company is headquartered in Irving, TX, but operates globally.

About 20 people were evacuated from the building, firefighters said, one of whom appeared to be missing until he was taken into custody for possible arson.

During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Ontario PD Corporal Emily Williams identified the suspect as 29-year-old Highland resident Chamel Abdulkarim. She said that despite the initial belief that he was an employee of Kimberly-Clark, it was later revealed that he is an employee of NFI Industries, a third-party distributor that works with the paper manufacturer.

Williams said that they were able to identify Abdulkarim as the suspect due to several calls they received at the time that allowed them to determine that the blaze was suspicious in nature.

"Definitely it was uncharacteristic fire. Just the fire behavior that they were experiencing inside, and the rapid spread of that fire for such a large building to move that quickly," said Ontario Fire Chief Mike Gerken. "It definitely pushed our firefighters into that defensive operation and that was one indication that it could possibly be an arson of nature."

Williams said that Abdulkarim was arrested on multiple felony arson-related charges and was being held at West Valley Detention Center without bail. She said that reviewing video surveillance and witness accounts would be a part of their investigation moving forward.

On Wednesday, a social media video posted by a person who appears to Abdulrakim began to circulate, showing the moments that he allegedly sparked the massive blaze, saying, "All you had to do was pay us enough to live. ... There goes your inventory."

In response to a request for comment on the fire, NFI Industries shared a statement with CBS LA, which read in part: "Early this morning a fire broke out at a warehouse we operate in Ontario, California, on behalf of our customer. Kimberly-Clark. We are grateful that all employees are accounted for and no injuries have been reported."

They went on to say that they are aware that an employee had been taken into custody in connection with the blaze and that they were cooperating with authorities in their investigation. They said that they were working to place any employees impacted by the fire at different NFI operations in the area.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported from this incident.

Ontario Fire Deputy Chief Mike Wedell said they had more than 140 personnel working to extinguish the blaze and received assistance from the Riverside County, Los Angeles County and San Bernardino County Fire Departments, as well as the Riverside City, Rancho Cucamonga, Chino Valley, Corona, Montclair, Colton, Rialto, San Manuel and Los Angeles fire departments.

In a statement issued the day after the fire, Kimberly-Clark said its supply chain network "is designed for continuity during disruptions and mitigating actions are already in motion." In other words, there won't be a toilet paper or diaper shortage or a disruption in supply due to the Ontario distribution center fire.

A routine request turned into a carefully orchestrated trap when a California parole agent persuaded Natalie Marinero, a transgender woman from El Salvador, to step outside her home. The moment she did, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were waiting to arrest her.

"I just need you to sign... and I go, and that's it," the parole agent told Marinero before she stepped outside. But the reality was far different.

Marinero had been living at A New Way of Life, a Los Angeles-based reentry home for formerly incarcerated women, per FOX7. After serving 17 and a half years in prison for a second-degree murder conviction in 2005, she had been rebuilding her life.

"It's hard to find the words to say how the government called here, tricked Natalie, and lured her outside where ICE was waiting for her," Susan Burton, founder of A New Way of Life told local news.

"Natalie got caught in a bad situation where she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. She paid her debt to society, and now she was trying to start anew," Burton added.

"Natalie paid her debt, yeah, and she's been making great choices, really working on herself, internally, externally, like the whole package," Susan Hefner, the housing supervisor at the facility, said.

Marinero now faces deportation to El Salvador, a country known for its violence against transgender individuals. Trans women in the country have a life expectancy 41 years below the national average. Police violence, gang extortion and discrimination are among the main threats they face daily, according to Amnesty International.

"I am so saddened by ICE coming and taking Natalie away. It's just horrifying to think of what will happen to her if they return her to El Salvador," Burton said.

Her case, indicative of ongoing unknowns and fears about ICE's strategy.

Attorneys nationwide are urging immigrants and Black Indigenous People of Color communities to know their rights when confronted by ICE, including remaining silent and refusing entry without a warrant. ICE has arrested more than 7,400 people in nine days as of Jan. 31, but details on who they are prioritizing remains unclear.
