The worst experience ever. Was visiting and had to wait 30 minutes just to be passed around by three different people to input our information. The lady at the front desk called the child stay before we went back there and they told her okay they can bring him. We were informed to take our 1 year old in the child stay and when we got back there we were told to he had to be with bigger kids and we requested him to be with the smaller kids because he's 1 and she said well we are over capacity. Mind me we've already waisted 30 minutes waiting just to get our information inputted in the system what makes matters worse there was only one kid with the smaller kids. It was one provider in there with one child.

I would not recommend anyone go to this YMCA.
Real easy to sign up online, but when you want to cancel your membership there is no option to do it online.They force you to jump through hoops, fill out forms and provide a THIRTY (30) DAY notice. So by the time you've requested cancellation they will try and charge you one last time.On top of that the facility is TOO CROWDED. Been at 5:30 am, middle of the day round lunch and late at night.The staff is not helpful or informative. They raised the price of my membership without ever calling, or informing me any type of way because I supposedly didn't provide some documentation that they NEVER EVEN ASKED FOR.

Customer Service on Friday June 8, 2018 was rude. I am a member through Silver Sneakers and staff member Louis S was arrogant and disrespectful. His tone was rude and you never respond to members with nastiness. The volunteer at desk wasn't any better.
Asked for management but no one was available. This young man needed training on CS and what programs the YMCA offers. I would rather drive pass this location to go to another facility.

I really needed the last 3 months to be refunded (I hadn't used the gym in over a year either..), however, both managers I spoke with were so rude about it and demanded 'evidence' that they deemed worthy..I explained my whole situation: how I'm financially impacted by COVID, have family health problems I'm dealing with, tried to cancel, etc. However, they really couldn't care! Not to mention that I only kept the membership through the pandemic because its a Non-Profit and they do reinvest into the community..It just really shows the lack of care/empathy they really do have. If I could I would just never had signed up for this YMCA..Negative Professionalism

Kamala Harris’s campaign has distanced itself from questions over her 60 Minutes interview after Donald Trump baselessly accused the network of committing a crime with its production of her interview.

Right-wing critics on social media posted side-by-side clips of her preview of her interview — in which Harris delivered a lengthy response to 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker on whether the US lacks influence over Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — next to the same segment in the final broadcast that aired October 7.

The Republican presidential candidate shared the clips on his Truth Social on Thursday, raging against what he called a “giant Fake News Scam” by the network, and launched a conspiracy theory that “her REAL ANSWER WAS CRAZY, OR DUMB, so they actually REPLACED it with another answer in order to save her or, at least, make her look better.”

“A FAKE NEWS SCAM, which is totally illegal,” he said. “TAKE AWAY THE CBS LICENSE. Election Interference. She is a Moron, and the Fake News Media wants to hide that fact. An UNPRECEDENTED SCANDAL!!! The Dems got them to do this and should be forced to concede the Election? WOW!”

The Harris campaign stressed it was not involved in editorial decisions made by networks.

“We do not control CBS’s production decisions and refer questions to CBS,” a spokesperson said in a statement to Variety. The Independent has requested comment from a spokesperson from CBS and 60 Minutes.

Trump has repeatedly called for major broadcasters to be pulled off the air if he dislikes their coverage or publish damning stories about him or his campaign.

He also backed out of his own 60 Minutes appearance entirely. Anchor Scott Pelley told viewers on Monday night’s broadcast that Trump’s campaign “complained that we would fact-check the interview.”

“We fact-check every story,” Pelley said.

Trump’s exit marks the first general election year since 1968 in which both presidential candidates did not appear on 60 Minutes in October.

In a teaser of her appearance, Harris was asked if the US “has no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu.”

“The aid that we have given Israel allowed Israel to defend itself against 200 ballistic missiles that were just meant to attack the Israelis and the people of Israel,” she said in response, according to the clip. “And when we think about the threat that Hamas, Hezbollah presents, Iran, I think that it is without any question our imperative to do what we can to allow Israel to defend itself against those kinds of attacks.”

She continued: “Now the work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles, which include the need for humanitarian aid, the need for this war to end, the need for a deal to be done which would release the hostages and create a ceasefire. And we’re not going to stop in terms of putting that pressure on Israel and in the region, including Arab leaders.”

Whitaker then says that “it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.”

“Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,” she replied.

On the October 7 broadcast, this was Harris’s response to Whitaker’s question about the US having any “sway” over Netanyahu:

“The work that we do diplomatically with the leadership of Israel is an ongoing pursuit around making clear our principles.”

When Whitaker says “it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening,” Harris replies: “We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.”

Acid Mammoth is a doom/stoner metal band from Athens, Greece, with two of their four members being a father/son guitarist duo. I had never even heard of this band before YouTube put this album in my recommendations today - and, quite frankly, I am not very familiar with a lot of European metal outside of the obvious thrash and death metal scenes - but I am very glad that I decided to give it a shot, because this was a very enjoyable experience.

It pretty much goes without saying that there is a massive amount of Black Sabbath influence on this record - that comes with the territory considering Sabbath pioneered the genre decades ago. The Babalis duo are not afraid to pound the listener with one hulking, fuzzy, slow-paced riff after another, and while for the most part the band does not fluctuate all too much in terms of tempo, they are able to keep things mostly fresh and not overly travel on charted waters. While there are some riffs that could be pulled straight from a Sabbath record or a Matt Pike-penned song (i.e. "Jack the Riffer"), the band keeps it interesting through atmosphere, earworm melodic phrases, and some epic lead passages. The band sprinkles in some psychedelic elements into some of the songwriting, with standout track "Tree of Woe" being a good example -- parts of songs almost are "trance-like" regarding the ambiance they create.

The drum performance fits the songs perfectly, not particularly flashy or technical but flashiness would pretty much kill any sort of ambiance in these doomy, lurching tracks. The mixing of the drums is probably the worst part of the production - the kick drum sounds okay, but the rest of the kit is buried under the wall of distorted guitars and bass, and sounds a bit thin. I was happy with the bass performance on this album; it, for the most part, was not flashy either and created a solid rhythm section with the drums in which the guitars could do their thing, but when the bass got its own time in the spotlight, it was a nice touch to the songs. The tone of the bass is great, distorted and chunky but retaining a degree of clarity that can sometimes get lost in overly fuzzy mixes.

The vocals are really interesting, at times sounding almost uncannily like Ozzy Osbourne, while also occasionally reminding me of Al Cisneros from Sleep in terms of timbre and delivery. I didn't pay much attention to the lyrical content while listening, but after reading the lyrics, I am largely unimpressed, as just seems to be pretty standard drudgery about witchcraft and Satan. This is not a massive detractor but it didn't really serve as a major benefactor, either. The vocals can also be washed under the waves of fuzz and distortion at times, though not quite to the extent of the drums. Lastly, the guitars came through with some really nice riffs, especially when they move up to higher registers. The leads are scarce but are more aimed at adding a grandiose sense of atmosphere to the songs instead of shredding or displaying technical wizardry. The tone is great for this kind of music - warm, fuzzy, overdriven as hell - and the guitars are upfront in the mix (a little bit too upfront).

This record is only 5 songs with a runtime of around 35 minutes, but honestly it left me pretty satiated, not really wanting anymore or less material as a general statement. While I do love "Tree of Woe" and its catchy, titanic riffs, the song would be just as good if the last two minutes were cut; "Tusks of Doom" and "Jack the Riffer" were very solid songs but didn't have the same impression on me as the songs that bookended them, and they sounded a little too cliche for me to fully appreciate them. The title track "Under Acid Hoof" is by far the best track on the record and was a phenomenal way to end the album, with the most creative and eclectic ideas presented here by Acid Mammoth. This band really sounds like they have cemented "their" sound, and while there are probably more "unique" stoner/doom bands out there, I am happy with this release and excited to see what they have in store for us in the next few years.

The Supreme Court of the United States under its' "imperative public importance" RULE 11 has allowed Loy Arlan Brunson to bypass the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. The SCOTUS as of April 19, 2023 has received, filed and docketed Loy Arlan Brunson's emergency RULE 11 PETITION FOR A WRIT OF CERTIORARI.

What is Rule 11: A petition for a writ of certiorari to review a case pending in a United States court of appeals, before judgment is entered in that court, will be granted only upon a showing that the case is of such Imperative Public Importance as to justify deviation from normal appellate practice and to require immediate determination in this Court.

This new Docketed case #22-1028, as of May 24th, US Solicitor General, waived defendants rights to oppose petition prior to conference.

As we are heading into a new Supreme Court Conference, we need to launch a new letter campaign for this newly Docketed case # 22-1028. The Ninth Amendment provides that the enumeration of certain rights in the Constitution should not be construed to mean that the Constitution does not protect rights that are not enumerated. The Amendment was included in the Bill of Rights to address fears that expressly protecting certain rights might be misinterpreted implicitly to sanction the infringement of others.1

Few Supreme Court cases offer significant analysis of the Ninth Amendment. Prior to 1965, litigants occasionally invoked the Amendment, often along with the Tenth Amendment or other provisions of the Bill of Rights, to challenge the constitutionality of government actions, but the Court consistently rejected those claims.2 In 1965, in Griswold v. Connecticut, a majority of the Court cited the Ninth Amendment, along with the substantive rights protected by the First, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments, and held that the Constitution protects penumbral rights of ‘privacy and repose’ that bar a state from prohibiting the use of contraception by married couples.3 By contrast, in the 1973 case Roe v. Wade, the Court grounded a constitutional right to abortion in the Fourteenth Amendment rather than the Ninth.4

Overall, the Court has generally treated the Ninth Amendment as a rule of construction for the Constitution rather than a freestanding guarantee of any substantive rights. Thus, in Richmond Newspapers v. Virginia, a plurality of the Court referred to the Amendment as a sort of constitutional ‘saving clause,’ which, among other things, would serve to foreclose application to the Bill of Rights of the maxim that the affirmation of particular rights implies a negation of those not expressly defined.5
