HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Houston police say they arrested 68 people for compelling or soliciting prostitution.

Authorities say the arrests were made between June 1 and July 31.

Police hope that by releasing the photos they'll raise awareness of human trafficking and put the community on notice that officers are no longer tolerating these crimes.

Law enforcement has been stepping up efforts to catch those participating in prostitution.

On Aug. 24, the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office announced it made 11 arrests during an undercover sting that lasted two days.

I, as a black American, feel like Leo Frank was wrongly convicted for a crime he didn't commit. The judge who presided over the case was one of the dozens of people who wrote to Governor Joh Slaton asking that Frank's death sentence be commuted to life imprisonment.
That means that Frank was going to spend the rest of his life in jail for a crime, that many people at that time thought he didn't commit, and that the majority of people who've studied the case today are convinced he didn't commit.
"There is near unanimity around the idea that Frank was most certainly innocent of the crime of murdering Mary Phagan."
Keep in mind, he wasn't being released or pardoned, he just wasn't being executed.
And yet, that wasn't satisfactory to a bunch of racists who thought that Frank's Jewish supporters had bribed him out of an execution, as the following statement makes clear:
"The anti-Semitic feeling was the natural result of the belief that the Jews had banded to free Frank, innocent or guilty. The supposed solidarity of the Jews for Frank, even if he was guilty, caused a Gentile solidarity against him."
Eight cars, with 28 white men in them, drove to the prison where Frank was being held. They broke in, tied up the warden, snatched Frank out of his cell with no resistance from white corrections officers, and hung him from a tree. Crowds of white men, women, and children showed up in cars, on horses, and under their own steam to came to gawk at his body.
After people stopped cutting off pieces of his clothing for keepsakes Frank was cut down, and to insure that his family couldn't give him an open casket funeral, his murderers stomped on his face until he was nearly unrecognizable.
If that wasn't bad enough, photographs were taken of the lynching, and were used as postcards in local stores for 25 cents. They also sold pieces of the rope, his clothes, and the fucking branches from the tree.
And not one of those white men saw the inside of a cell. A local reporter said that “the will of the people was the will of God.”
"What it did to Southern Jews can't be discounted ... It drove them into a state of denial about their Judaism. They became even more assimilated, anti-Israel, Episcopalian. The Temple did away with chupas at weddings – anything that would draw attention."
All of the above is a fucking horror story. From being sentenced to die for a crime he almost certainly didn't commit, to being lynched because of some bullshit racist conspiracy theory, to the desecration of his corpse.
And with all of that in mind, what happened to Frank was happening to blacks all over the fucking place. Except some of them didn't even get the benefit of a bullshit trial. Most of them didn't merit an article in the paper. No one gave a fuck. All they got was do not pass go, do not collect any justice and advance straight to a noose. Or a beating. Or a shooting.

"Deleted Magic" is a feature-length documentary about the deleted scenes of the Star Wars trilogy, and about how the movies we know and love were made and edited together. It is taken from information, sources and home videos officially released by Lucasfilm. This project is not an official Lucasfilm project - it is an unofficial, not-for-profit research project, done in the spirit of fun by a Star Wars fan to be both informative and entertaining.

The idea is to combine all sorts of alternate, deleted and making-of footage into a full-length film that gives a better view of how the film we know as Star Wars was edited together. In addition to deleted scenes like the Biggs Darklighter material, you'll get a sense of the "Lost Cuts" of the films ... the longer edits that didn't have finished voices or effects.

I’m still pretty obsessed how George Lucas made star wars 77. It’s real movie magic. Shame we don’t have this level of drive and vision anymore in film directors.

This is a very interesting documentary about the making of the first Star Wars film (and to a lesser extent Empire and Jedi) including a look at some of the deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage, and notes on subtle things that you might have never seen or noticed before.
Intention:

In March 2005, I created a DVD called Deleted Magic and released it for free, on a non-profit basis, on the internet. It was very popular. I’m told that Clive Young’s book Homemade Hollywood called it “The best documentary ever made on the making of Star Wars.”

In 2009, I decided to revisit the major deleted scenes of Star Wars. Most of these scenes had only been released in low quality, 12 frames per second, on CD-ROMs in the late 90s. I used the program Twixtor to generate new frames and restore these scenes to 24 frames per second – not a perfect solution during fast motion, but jaw-droppingly successful during dialogue scenes, and an improvement that is like night and day. I combined a multitude of new sources within the same frame to restore the Jabba the Hutt scene. I animated a shot of Luke and a Treadwell droid, and a shot of Ben attacking with his lightsaber during the Cantina sequence. I have restored these scenes to a quality never seen before, and placed them on this disc for you, edited into the original, unchanged Deleted Magic feature documentary from 2005. Enjoy.

Additional Notes:

A note that the special features also appear in slightly better quality than on the original Deleted Magic … ripped directly from other fine fan DVDs. The 1977 crawl does not appear this time round due to disc space (I had intended to use the version from my own Star Wars Classic Edition 2.0). Slightly different menu music this time round. You might find subtle references to two of my other fan DVD projects. The object of Deleted Magic Revisited was to recreate my original Deleted Magic DVD from 2005, but with new versions of five major deleted scenes. I had edited these scenes in 16×9 aspect ratio to preserve their quality. However, the original Deleted Magic was edited in a 4×3 aspect ratio, due to the many different sources used in the film, and the onscreen captions. So, it was impossible to place the new material into the film seamlessly. Instead, there’s an ugly jump as to another track as your DVD player switches ratios. I tried to place these switches in inconspicuous places, reediting some material from the original Deleted Magic in 16×9 to make the transitions easier. But we do not get that luxury. This object that so terrified our ancestors went by many names in antiquity, the most popular being the Phoenix. It visited and destroyed whole civilizations of humans in 4309 BCE, 2647, 2239, 1687 and 1135 BCE. It was witnessed and recorded in 721 and 583 BCE. It again returned in 31 BCE, 246 CE, 384 and 522 CE. During its next two visitations it wiped out the Mayan civilization. The Dark Ages was a period of slow to no development and the Phoenix was silent, each pass it remained deactivated.

In 1764 CE it passed again just as our Industrial Age was beginning. Millions of Europeans looked up into the sky in May and saw this vast object obscure a fifth of the sun's surface. Astronomer Hoffman studied it through a telescope. But the Phoenix did not activate, vanishing back into the vault of blackness above. Scientists were baffled for this was in defiance of the Copernican and Newtonian models, that an object that large could descend out of northern space, cross over the ecliptic plane and disappear into southern space. It was forgotten.

But it reappeared again in 1902 in the month of May, bringing with it a new comet. Anyone having known this history could have predicted its return. A fixed mathematical orbit. But in 1902 we were still in our technological infancy. Phoenix remained deactivated.

Things have changed. When it returns in May 2040 it will again reactivate. A worldwide epic cataclysm will set us back to Year 0. A new calendar will have to begin. The Vikings prophecies of the Ragnarok predicted this event, it is mentioned in the Revelation as the Sixth Seal, a sun darkening episode of quakes and rocks falling from the sky with the moon turning blood red just as Phoenix was recorded to do several times in the Early to Late Bronze Age as documented in my books and posts. The Sybilline Oracles, Old Testament prophecies, Nostradamus quatrains and even the enigmatic and highly plagiarized Mother Shipton foretold of this single catastrophic year. This is the fundamental secret about the Old World calendrical systems...calendars of antiquity marked Year One almost always after a major disaster marked the passage of an age.

The story of the slaves in America begins with Christopher Columbus. His voyage to America was not financed by Queen Isabella, but by Luis de Santangelo, who advanced the sum of 17,000 ducats (about 5,000 pounds-today equal to 50,000 pounds) to finance the voyage, which began on August 3,1492. Columbus was accompanied by five ‘maranos’ (Jews who had foresworn their religion and supposedly became Catholics), Luis de Torres, interpreter, Marco, the surgeon, Bemal, the physician, Alonzo de la Calle and Gabriel Sanchez. (Ref. The International Jew by Henry Ford) Gabriel Sanchez, abetted by the other four Jews, sold Columbus on the idea of capturing 500 Indians and selling them as slaves in Seville, Spain, which was done. Columbus did not receive any of the money from the sale of the slaves, but he became the victim of a conspiracy fostered by Bemal, the ship’s doctor. He, Columbus, suffered injustice and imprisonment as his reward. Betrayed by the five maranos (Jews) whom he had trusted and helped. This, ironically, was the beginning of slavery in the Americas. (Adventures of an African Slaver by Malcolm Cowley, 1928, p.ll) The Jews were expelled from Spain on August 2, 1492, and from Portugal in 1497. Many of these Jews emigrated to Holland, where they set up the Dutch West Indies Company to exploit the new world. In 1654, the first Jew, Jacob Barsimson, emigrated from Holland to New Amsterdam (New York) and in the next decade many more followed him, settling along the East Coast, principally in New Amsterdam and Newport, Rhode Island. They were prevented by ordinances issued by Governor Peter Stuyvesant from engaging in the domestic economy, so they quickly discovered that the territory inhabited by the Indians would be a fertile field. There were no laws preventing the Jews from trading with the Indians. The first Jew to begin trading with the Indians was Hayman Levy, who imported cheap glass beads, textiles, earrings, armbands and other cheap adornments from Holland which were traded for valuable fur pelts. Hayman Levy was soon joined by Jews Nicholas Lowe and Joseph Simon. Lowe conceived the idea of trading rum and whiskey to the Indians and set up a distillery in Newport, where these two liquors were produced. New York was also the main source of Kosher meat, supplying the North American settlements, then the West Indies and also South America. Now Newport took over! Newport also became the great trade harbour of the East Coast of North America. There, vessels from other ports met, to exchange commodities. Newport, as previously mentioned, represented the foremost place in the commerce of rum, whiskey, and liquor dealings. And to conclude, it finally became the Main Center of Slave dealings. It was from this port that the ships left on their way across the ocean, to gather their black human cargo and then derive great sums of money in exchange for them. An authentic, contemporary report, based on authority, indicates that of 128 Slave ships, for instance, unloaded in Charleston, within one year, their “Cargo,” 120 of these were undersigned by Jews from Newport and Charleston by their own name. About the rest of them, one can surmise, although they were entered as Boston (1), Norfolk (2), and Baltimore (4), their real owners were similarly the Jewish slave dealers from Newport and Charleston. One is able to assess the Jewish share in the entire dealings of the Newport, if one considers the undertaking of a lone Jew, the Portuguese, Aaron Lopez, who plays an important part in the over-all story of the Jews and Slavery.

⁣Acourt witness in the Sean “Diddy” Combs investigation says he has “at least eight sex tapes involving eight celebrities,” according to NewsNation.

Page Six described the celebrities in question, who were not named, as “A-Listers.” The Music Essentials called the accusations “shocking.”

Courtney Burgess levied the accusations on the NewsNation show “Banfield” on October 31. According to NewsNation, he said that he was “given 11 flash drives” containing the tapes and that “two to three” of the celebrities were minors.

NewsNation reported that Burgess has now testified before a grand jury looking into Combs in the Southern District of New York, describing the eight celebrities as “victims” of Combs. Burgess told NewsNation that Kim Porter, Combs’ now-deceased ex-girlfriend, gave him the flash drives.

Ariel Mitchell, Burgess’ attorney, told NewsNation that the tapes “tell the story of what Diddy has done over the past 30 years. His deviant activities.”

However, defense attorney Mark Geragos, whose daughter is representing Combs, said on the “Cuomo” show that he’s “not buying” the accusations by Burgess, according to NewsNation.

“I think the prosecutors think he failed the smell test, and I suspect the prosecutors brought him in front of the grand jury because I don’t think anyone is buying what he’s selling,” Geragos said, NewsNation reported.

The New York Post previously reported that an A-list male celebrity was upset about a tape being “shopped around to media outlets.” That celebrity was not named, and it’s not clear whether that tape is connected to Burgess’s accusations.

“It’s triggering,” a source told The Post. “It feels like a betrayal and a violation, and it’s causing a lot of issues. It brings up some really disturbing and bad memories.”

Law enforcement sources told The Post that they believe Diddy recorded videos, adding, “There are recognizable names, but I won’t confirm any of their identities. But it’s more than just that one.”

Burgess’s Amazon Prime profile reads, “Hi my name is Courtney Burgess I been in the Entertainment business for 28 years my first group was The Artifacts Hussain Fatal (Tupac) my first book is N 2Tha Gutter it’s About Tupac.”

An indictment against Combs was released on September 17. The indictment charges Combs with racketeering, accusing him of having “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct.”

Page Six reported that the tapes involve six male celebrities and two female stars.

According to Page Six, Burgess says the celebrities appeared to be “under the influence” and victimized.

TMZ reported that Burgess claims he has Porter’s “real memoir,” and noted that he was subpoenaed to testify before the Diddy grand jury.

Burgess told TMZ he was “initially contacted by agents from the Department of Homeland Security.” According to TMZ, the subpoena from federal prosecutors “asked Burgess to turn over all records, including thumb drives, hard drives, electronic storage devices, or devices containing videos and/or other files depicting Diddy.”

Porter died in 2018. The autopsy report, which Heavy obtained from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, details how Porter was feeling ill from flu-like symptoms before she died.
