Thor Madsen was born in Chicago; his parents had arrived at a hot moment (1968) and the fully took up the spirit of the time. Thor pulled together as much as he could while in his small town, but he had it in his head to get to New York for even broader horizons. Soon he was on the scene, mixing and performing with cats at Izzy Bar and later Nublu. He was part of the Hip-Hop collective The Real Live with Dionysus, Stimulus, Eric Revis, James Hurt, and Dana Murray. As Nublu became a hub his focus shifted to the space between Jazz and Electronica, as he toured with The Nublu Orchestra, Wax Poetic, and Our Theory. Somewhere in this whirlwind he picked up his new moniker, Thor De Force, as personally described by writer John Farris. The story tells itself: a man who let music into his soul and found it was already there. A curious mind with a persistent desire to experiment. There is a solid beginning but no end, as Madsen also works with Jazz Explorer Trio and RagaJazz with violin virtuoso Kala Ramnath. And so the new album - Sounds Of The Mansion - is a document of a journey. Working from his studio Mazza Mansion, with an arsenal of equipment within reach, Thor began each song with one seed, cultivating the sound and bringing in new ideas as they blossomed. The result is a comprehensive glimpse into the creative mind of Thor De Force. “The album is my attempt to really do my own music, my own style, my own story. There is a little of everything I like in it. I have tried to create an open kind of music where all the things that inspire me can coexist and feed off each other, in a possibly vain attempt to reconcile everything I love”.

On Monday, news broke of a controversial billboard in St. Louis County, Mo., that featured an image of President Trump and a bible verse that has created some confusion. As of this publishing, the giant message has already been removed by DDI Media, which owned the billboard.

The electronic billboard on Interstate 170 read “Make the Gospel great again” and “The Word became flesh…” — the opening to John 1:14, which has some drivers believing that whoever paid for the advertisement, which DDI has not revealed, was equating Trump to Jesus Christ.

Sherri Chisholim told KMOV in St. Louis: “I didn’t know what to make of it. I didn’t know what message it was trying to send, but I felt like it was somewhat offensive. I didn’t know if they were trying to equate Donald Trump to Jesus.”

The entirety of John 1:14 reads, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

John 1:1 states that the Word was with God at the beginning of the world and after it “became flesh,” it was known as Jesus. In John 1:29, John testifies for Jesus, saying, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” Some believe this billboard was meant to suggest that Trump is the second coming of Christ.

A Facebook page titled Make The Gospel Great Again, which appeared to take credit for the billboard in a since-deleted post, also features an “About” section that read, “We believe God has given American Christians His earthly messenger — Donald J. Trump. We follow his words in faith each day!”

The mission statement goes on to read, “MGGA exists to help spread the truth of God’s great champion on earth — President Donald Trump. The Lord anointed Mr. Trump to bless America, and we live out our faith by following him. Donald Trump has already won many victories for Jesus by stopping abortions, telling the truth, proving that the real racists are not white, and fighting against the liberal media and their War on Christians! … MGGA will work tirelessly to remind Christians to be loyal to President Trump and trust him in all circumstances. As Proverbs 3:5 reminds us, ‘Trust him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.'”

Proverbs 3:5 tells Christians to trust the Lord “with all your heart.”

In a post attempting to clarify the billboard’s message, the group wrote that it did not mean to equate Trump with Jesus. It does, however, make a point to say that President Trump is a “messenger.” It also says its page will be taken down due to the backlash that was received.

A statement provided by DDI Media to Yahoo Lifestyle reads: “A recent billboard with an image of President Trump has been removed because of its political nature and the fact that it did not disclose the sponsoring organization. The ad did not meet our requirements for political ads and was taken down just a few days after it was placed. It is our policy to not disclose the identity of an advertiser without their authorization.”

Make the Gospel Great Again did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.

It is “highly likely” that the agency will not be able to pay all of its bills in full and on time as soon as June 1, Yellen wrote in a letter to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Monday.

“With an additional week of information now available, I am writing to note that we estimate that it is highly likely that Treasury will no longer be able to satisfy all of the government’s obligations if Congress has not acted to raise or suspend the debt limit by early June, and potentially as early as June 1,” she wrote.

It’s hard to find any information at all on a one “Hendricus G. Loos,” despite the fact that he’s filed multiple patent applications, with success, for apparatuses that deal with the manipulation of the human nervous system via a computer screen or a television monitor. In the abstract, he explains the following,

“Physiological effects have been observed in a human subject in response to stimulation of the skin with weak electromagnetic fields that are pulsed with certain frequencies near ½ Hz or 2.4 Hz, such as to excite a sensory resonance. Many computer monitors and TV tubes, when displaying pulsed images, emit pulsed electromagnetic fields of sufficient amplitudes to cause such excitation. It is therefore possible to manipulate the nervous system of a subject by pulsing images displayed on a nearby computer monitor or TV set. For the latter, the image pulsing may be imbedded in the program material, or it may be overlaid by modulating a video stream, either as an RF signal or as a video signal. The image displayed on a computer monitor may be pulsed effectively by a simple computer program. For certain monitors, pulsed electromagnetic fields capable of exciting sensory resonances in nearby subjects may be generated even as the displayed images are pulsed with subliminal intensity.”

The concerning thing about this, as the patent application explains, is that even a very weak pulse can have adverse affects on the human nervous system.

He then goes on to describe that pulse variability and strength can be controlled through software, and explains how, with regards to a computer monitor, DVDs, video tapes and more, and also how it can be remotely controlled from another location.
Perhaps the most concerning part is this,

“Certain monitors can emit electromagnetic field pulses that excite a sensory resonance in a nearby subject, through image pulses that are so weak as to be subliminal. This is unfortunate since it opens a way for mischievous application of the invention, whereby people are exposed unknowingly to manipulation of their nervous systems for someone else’s purposes. Such application would be unethical and is of course not advocated. It is mentioned here in order to alert the public to the possibility of covert abuse that may occur while being online, or while watching TV, a video, or a DVD.”

As noted by Wired, Reddit has been overflowing with some pretty wild theories surrounding Taylor this past week, and each one is more bizarre than the last.
For starters, some people really think that Taylor might actually have a snake baby, thanks to the creepy reptile videos that showed up on her social media a few days ago. According to one Reddit user, Taylor literally gave birth to a snake, which is part of why the star has been keeping a low profile for months. "Reptiles are going mainstream, the end is near," the Redditor wrote. Of course, Taylor's not the first celebrity to be wrapped up in a conspiracy theory about reptiles; some fans think Justin Bieber can actually shapeshift into a lizard. Yep.
Another conspiracy that seems to be making its rounds online? Oh, just your average "Taylor Swift died and was replaced by a lookalike" theory. The Internet loves theories like this once, hence the popular Avril Lavigne conspiracy that was circulating again earlier this year. Some people on Reddit think that Taylor is speaking literally when she says, "the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now...'cause she's dead," and that there might be a more sinister explanation...like a murder. Gulp.

#hatemenowlovemelater a secret recording was leaked on Friday showing New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham slamming Joe Biden's border policies, but not for the reason one might think. Her anger at the administration wasn't for not securing the border. Instead, her anger was being pointed at Border Patrol agents for doing their job and seizing drugs.

How this recording made it into the public eye is not yet known, but as you'll see, this isn't going to help her already-shot credibility.

LUJAN GRISHAM: I'm going to put extra borders going and beyond, for the love of God, put him at the border in Sunland Park where I don't have a single border patrol agent, not one, and people pour over, and so I'm cranky with the secretary. He knew that was coming, he did not say a word to me. Politico wants to write an article. Every single major press group is asking repeatedly, basically accusing me of being feckless, and uh, Huffington Post, I mean, they're all going to write about it.

They're saying that they are worried about fentanyl so they're taking all of our cannibis, and they tried to, and they're detaining people. We've never done that. We just use discretion, and look the other way. But the press also knows that the bad Border Patrol is taking a hard stance, and the only way is either we have to adjust it or I have to send you a letter saying, "You're persecuting the states, you are not using your discretion, you are not working with me on immigration," and I don't want to send that letter, but I'm boxed in hard.

Her words are just incredible. With all the problems in New Mexico and at the Southern Border, her concern is about the supposed bad press she may receive from drug shipments being seized. In her comments, she expressed outrage that the "bad Border Patrol" are doing their jobs and taking cannabis shipments when they stop vehicles.

For full context, she appears to be talking about in-state-grown marijuana, which Democrats have deemed "legal" in the state. Federal law still prohibits it, though. It is not the Border Patrol's place to "look the other way" and break the law to help out a left-wing governor's drug trade.

LUJAN GRISHAM: Here's what also the secretary said to me, just so you know: "Oh, who cares? They make a lot of money." Well, first of all, (inaudible) so I was really offended by that. Shame on him, and then secondly, we're the only state that lets baby producers in. If they lose a load, their business goes belly up. Yeah, I thought that was really inappropriate. Whatever you all want to do about that, it was really inappropriate.

Yeah, if you can, I've held off the press so I'll send it to you. You know I got a nasty "The governor is feckless, and she's going to let Biden walk all over her." I can't have that.

It is incredibly tone-deaf to whine about the Biden administration, not for its horrible pro-illegal immigration policies, but for some rank-and-file agents doing what they swore to do, which is uphold the laws as they stand today. Lujan Grisham is more worried about facilitating drugs in her state than helping her residents, and that says a lot about her failed tenure as governor.

I understand that New Mexico legalized marijuana, but as long as it remains illegal federally, there will be the risk of seizure by federal agents. Border Patrol agents are under incredible stress, and they don't have the resources to figure out who is working for a "baby producer" and who is working for the drug cartels when they make a stop. That Lujan Grisham is furious about that and not the actual border crisis is ludicrous.
