⁣Back in 2010 Josh McNutt and Adam Randall set out to create a venue to sell their world class wines and live jazz. They called it Squashed Grapes. It didn’t take long for the Ventura Jazz Renaissance to happen and they started to see large crowds showing up to watch big named artists play and sip some wine. The small location started to become an issue, so they decided that it was time to find a larger venue. Josh and Adam loved the area and knew that it had to be in Ventura and still have that “Home Style Feel”.
In 2016 they set out to find a bigger place that they could still grow with. A few months in they found the perfect place, just a few blocks away from the original Squashed Grapes on Main St. Over the next 4 years, through fires and Covid shutdowns, they designed and built out the new location now known as The Grape, House of Jazz and Spirits. (This time with a full liquor license!)
Opened in October 2021, The Grape is known for bringing in some of the best talent around for intimate performances combined with top notch craft cocktails and friendly ambiance and has become one of the leading Jazz Venues on the West Coast!

That "being" knows what it is. I watched multiple videos of what happened. There was one man who did a video and was on the flight when it all happened. He said she was sitting next to a man and having a full on conversation. But it didn't register to him at the time that the guy never said a word to her. He stayed gazing at her though and she was talking. She spazzed and got up from the seat visibly disturbed making her way to the front of the plane. He looked back at the guy and he winked at him. But it wasn't a normal wink like a human with your eyelids shutting up and down. It was a wink with his eyelids shutting and opening from side to side like a reptilian. It caught him of guard and when the guy did get up to exit with everyone else he never said a word or acted phased by what had happened. I believe that woman and she wasn't drunk like they tried to say nor accusing him of stealing her air pods at that time. Her speech wasn't slurred, she wasn't stumbling or anything. If anything what she saw sobered her up quickly out of absolute fear.
