Jacob Kurtzberg, know to you all as Jack "The King" Kirby, was the actual creator of Marvel Comics as we know them; he was the visionary behind the majority of the characters you've seen in their formerly blockbuster films. Well, he was ripped off by Martin Goodman, and Stanley Lieber, a.k.a. Stan Lee, never advised him to protect himself, instead offering crap like, "do full page spreads for the same page rate" - would've been a red flag for me...but I digress.

Once Jack realized that things were out of his control, he migrated to DC Comics, where he showed off his newest offering; that being the twin worlds of New Genesis and Apokolips.
