Attempts to further limit training in abortion

During a House hearing earlier this year, state Rep. Emily Weber, a Democrat from Kansas City, said she’s heard about doctors first consulting attorneys before helping women in need of emergency abortions.

Under the state’s “trigger law,” health care providers who perform abortions not necessary to save the woman’s life can be charged with a class B felony, which means up to 15 years in prison. Their medical license can also be suspended or revoked as a result.

The only exception is in cases of medical emergencies when a pregnant person’s life is at risk or when “a delay will create a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function.”

“We’re losing physicians and doctors,” Weber said. “They’re leaving the state of Missouri because they can’t perform their actual duties that they had extensive education on and got their degree in.”

House Minority Leader Crystal Quade pointed to some bills filed this year that didn’t pass, but that put Missouri on the national stage for “extremism,” likely to impact physicians’ decisions on whether or not to move to the state or out of it.

This included a bill from state Rep. Justin Sparks, a Republican from Wildwood, that would have prohibited public and private medical schools from providing any “abortion-specific training,” including through out-of-state partnerships; and a bill filed by state Sen. Mike Moon, a Republican from Ash Grove, proposed to charge those who perform or get an abortion with murder.

“It’s a perfect storm situation where we are continuing to lose access to care, particularly for maternal care,” said Quade, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor.

Quade has spoken with women who said they were sent home during a miscarriage because their life wasn’t yet in enough danger to get an abortion, and she’s spoken with providers who were unsure whether to stay in Missouri, weighing a moral dilemma between their duty to their patients and their fears of legal prosecution if they perform an abortion the state deems unnecessary.

She, too, fears this decrease in interest in Missouri as a place for providers not just to learn, but to establish roots, will only continue.

“What that means is not only potential shortages,” Quade said. “But also that we’re not getting the best of the best anymore.”

Sparks said his legislation wasn’t meant to target OB-GYNs, but rather was written based on conversations with Missouri physicians. He hoped to instead end “abortion fellowships” where doctors are sent across state lines to perform abortions.

Those conversations, he said, included doctors at Washington University in St. Louis who said their students went out of state in order to “become really good at abortions, and then come back to Missouri to perform them in the cases where they’re legal.”

Sparks said this argument doesn’t hold water for him, since universities already teach a standard of care for emergency abortions that he finds to be sufficient.

“To say that we just have to do abortions in order to maintain that level of care is disingenuous,” he said, adding that physicians going out of state for training contributes to “a generation of folks who won’t exist.”

He thinks it’s a stretch to correlate the decrease in OB-GYN applicants with abortion bans, but added that Missouri would not be an appealing state for physicians wanting to go into the “abortion industry.”

SPLC’s Hatewatch reported in November 2021 that a group of men who also collaborate with Infowars’ Alex Jones helped Fuentes build Cozy.TV. Michael Zimmermann, who served as the IT director for Alex Jones’ Infowars and worked for the extremist-friendly domain registry Epik, also worked with Fuentes on staging his videos. Zimmermann used Epik to register the domain “tarrantmanfiesto.com” hours after convicted terrorist Brenton Tarrant gunned down 51 Muslim people at Al Noor Mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, on March 15, 2019. Simon Dickerman, another Fuentes digital collaborator, has participated in the white supremacist movement since at least 2017, when he helped stage a protest targeting Black immigrants outside the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, Tennessee, while traumatized victims of a recent mass shooting prayed inside. SPLC’s Hatewatch found Dickerman, who goes by the internet pseudonym “Simon Sasquatch” working a video camera at a Fuentes-led “Vax Watch” event in November 2021. Fuentes commonly produces heavily edited propaganda videos to showcase his events to fans.
Fuentes built up part of his audience on Twitter, which gave him a verified account after he appeared on the white supremacist side of Charlottesville’s “Unite the Right” event. When Twitter verified Fuentes, few people knew him outside of his connections to far-right extremism. As of 2021, Fuentes amassed more than 135,000 followers on Twitter. He praised Twitter for helping him reconnect with his fans after streaming sites deplatformed him.
“We retained 80% of the viewership,” Fuentes said on a Jan. 20 broadcast regarding his transition from DLive to independent streaming methods. “I mean that’s a pretty big deal. It’s hard to overstate what a big deal that is … just by saying, ‘Hey check me out on Twitter.’”
Twitter suspended Fuentes days after SPLC’s Hatewatch published a report about their platform in July 2021. He has since built up a substantial following on the social network Gab, whose lax policies have made it a white supremacist-friendly haven. Gab’s metrics claim Fuentes has a following that exceeds 100,000 accounts, but critics, including former collaborators, have accused the company of inflating follower numbers to appear larger than they are.

Hitler resisted Judaism. When you’re a little kid in school or at the movies, resisting Judaism can be made to seem a very wicked thing. As an adult, you can be made to think that to resist Judaism is the very worst, the most dangerous thing. When you see what has happened to people who have resisted Judaism, well – you certainly don’t want that to happen to you.

Adolf Hitler was, is and will always be the most dangerous character in history due to his resistance against Judaism combined with his eloquence in explaining why Judaism must be resisted. Some of us “Jew-fighters” have a personal motto, delenda est judaica, or Judaism must be destroyed. Or, Defense Against Jewish Aggression. When we have studied the history of whatever period you care to name, or just looked at the news, true humans react with the natural urge to remove this cancer from society. The most astonishing example of the Jewish mentality was last year’s murderous assault against the humanitarians attempting to bring food, medicine and building materials to the people of Gaza. Jewish ways are repellant to the human mind and are not examined overmuch for that reason.

Judaism can be simply described as very bad behavior.

Hitler never attempted to destroy Judaism but rather to isolate it and perhaps remove its adherents from Europe. This followed attempts to train Jews to be productive human beings in places such as Dachau and Theresienstadt. As Evelyn Kaye writes in The Hole in the Sheet, orthodox Jews do not work. They are allergic to work, preferring instead to occupy themselves by reading the Talmud and arguing endlessly with other Jews about what they read. So this is a big problem with Jews, their refusal to work and produce something that is not based on ripping off and confounding their victims.

Hitler’s attempt to re-train Jews, which didn’t work, and then to remove Jews from Europe was a work in progress. Since the Khazars had infiltrated Europe from the east, his plan for relocation was to put them back in the Pale whence they came. This scheme depended upon the success of Operation Barbarossa, the great assault against the Soviet Union which was always the ultimate and stated objective of the National Socialists. Communism had to be destroyed so that Judaism could be re-confined to its traditional home in the Pale of Settlement. Hitler’s basic plan for Jews was somehow to confine and isolate them in a place in which they could be prevented from doing humanity more harm. This is a very difficult thing to do because there are so many aspects to Judaism, the most dangerous of which is banking, which is the main point of this piece.

Because now I’m seeing that the main purpose of keeping alive the Holocaust is to protect Jewish banking practices.

As Hitler remarked in his declaration of war following Pearl Harbor, he had delivered Germany from the doubly devastating conditions of the Versailles Treaty and the general world Depression by 1935 while Roosevelt kept mighty America in abject misery with his Federal Reserve starvation policies right to the present time (December, 1941). He stole all the people’s gold and then increased its value by 60%. And he refused to do what Lincoln had done before him and what Kennedy would do after him: he refused to issue debt-free currency and rescue the American people from aggravated poverty, degradation and death by starvation.

Clause 5 says that the “Congress shall have power To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures.” Clause 6 is even better: “Congress shall have the power To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States.”

You can see where this puts the owners of the counterfeiting company called the Federal Reserve System. The proposed punishment for counterfeiting was execution by hanging.

Anyway, let us recognize the Holocaust for what it is, a device to make the idea of debt-free currency repellant to our minds, because anyone who would do it really just wants to gas the Jews.

FLORENCE, Ky. (WXIX) - The four people and the suspect in the deadly early Saturday mass shooting have been identified.

An emotional Florence Police Chief Jeff Mallery released their names during a 1 p.m. press conference. He said the department had never dealt with anything of this magnitude and that they were still trying to process what happened overnight on Ridgecrest Drive.

The victims:

Delaney Eary, 19 years old
Hayden Rybicki, 20 years old
Melissa Parrett, 44 years old
Shane Miller, 20 years old
The suspect, who later died at St. Elizabeth from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, is 21-year-old Chase Garvey, Chief Mallery announced.

The shooting happened during a birthday for Parrett’s 21-year-old child at her home on Ridgecrest Drive in Florence, according to the chief.

Garvey was not invited to the party, but did know those celebrating, Chief Mallery explained.

The 21-year-old shot seven people, four of whom died at the scene. The three surviving victims are expected to be okay.

Shortly before 3 a.m., officers arrived at the home after receiving multiple calls about an “active shooter,” the chief said Saturday.

“When officers arrived, they could still hear gunshots,” Chief Mallory said. “They approached the residence and saw multiple victims. Partygoers told the police that the suspect had fled.”

Police say Garvey fled the scene, leading officers on a chase. Because Garvey was known to those at the birthday party, the chief said officers were given a description of his vehicle.

Those officers saw multiple victims, including two in the front yard, he said.

”We train on this, hoping it would never happen, but unfortunately, we’ve been touched like so many departments and cities,” Chief Mallery said of the officers who went to the Ridgecrest Drive home.

By that point, Garvey had left the mass shooting scene, according to the police chief.

Officers “quickly” found his vehicle near Farmview Drive and US-42, according to an earlier press release from police.

Garvey did not stop, prompting a Florence officer and Boone County Sheriff’s Office deputy to pursue.

“A Boone County deputy attempted to stop the vehicle,” Chief Mallory continued. “A pursuit ensued, traveling south on I-42 into Union, the suspect shot himself and crashed his vehicle.”

His car crashed into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike, police explained.

Garvey was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he died, according to police.

In the press conference Saturday, Chief Mallery stated that Garvey was a convicted felon with a history of sex crimes.

“This is the first mass shooting in Florence, so it’s understandably emotional for everyone involved,” Mallery said.

His motive remains unknown as police continue their murder investigation.

⁣Volkswagen, as far as car companies go, is fairly forward thinking. They invited their customers to come up with new design ideas, and the customers delivered.

This concept, the “Hover Car,” has impressed the company so much that they decided to make a short YouTube video, featuring CGI, that shows how it would potentially function in real life.

It begins with the VW zipping through the Chinese capital of Beijing, elevated just a few feet above the ground. The car’s power comes from minerals underground and was designed by a young Chinese woman who responded to the carmaker’s call for innovation.

Of course, easier CGI’d than done. The car would require electromagnetic strips embedded into the roads below it in order to work. But as a prize, the girl’s parents got to “test drive” the car in the simulated video. According to Creativity Online, VW received 119,000 ideas and got 33 million hits on its website.

In general, putting former intelligence agents on the media as expert commentators is a really weird move. But this guy is something else altogether.

There is “clear” Russian involvement in the far-right riots and security services will be looking closely at the instigators, a former head of the MI6 Russia desk has said.

Christopher Steele, the ex-spy who compiled a notorious dossier on Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia, said that security officials would be “looking very carefully” at the people encouraging anti-immigration riots in the past fortnight.

Speaking to Times Radio, Steele said of the riots: “I think it’s clear there is some Russian involvement. The degree to which that’s happened and the effectiveness I think is still out for question. I mean, when you look at the original disinformation that surrounded the Southport killings, that does seem to have come from a Russian-linked website.”

The origin of the false claim about the Southport stabbing perpetrator appears to be an outlet called Channel3 Now, which is styled to resemble a mainstream American network news channel and mixes potentially AI-generated US and UK news material. This website posted spurious claims that the Southport attacker was “on the MI6 watch list” and was “known to mental health services”. This was amplified by prominent far-right influencers.

Steele said that the security services “will be looking very carefully at the instigators of these activities, including people like Tommy Robinson, even conceivably Nigel Farage, who incidentally said that we were being misinformed by the government about Southport”.

Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has been posting reams of material on platforms including X praising anti-immigration protesters from his holiday in Cyprus.

He is literally on vacation at a luxury resort while all this is happening.

He was at the very first event, immediately after the stabbing, then he got arrested, released, and fled the country to Cyprus. He’s probably trying to get into Israel.

Farage has come under fire for stoking conspiracy theories about the Southport attack by questioning “whether the truth is being withheld from us”. He has said he condemns “all acts of political violence”. The Guardian contacted Reform UK for comment.

Steele said security officials would be “looking at things like their travel movements, who they’ve been in touch with, monetary transfers, and so on, because that will reveal or not, as the case may be, a pattern of behaviour, which can lead to some conclusions about the degree to which Russia has been interfering in this situation”.

No one thinks the truth is being withheld at this point.

Whether or not British intelligence knew who he was is irrelevant, totally.

What is relevant now is that the UK police and the entire government are standing with the pro-stabbing movement and attacking the anti-stabbers. Further, riots continued to heat up in a second round after the court started putting people in prison for complaining about stabbing on the internet.

I don’t think Ivan posted the “fake news.” But it has nothing to do with anything.

Meaning Of “Blinded By The Light” By Manfred Mann’s Earth Band

It is quite unusual for a cover of a song to become a larger hit than its original. But it is not impossible. The British rock band, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, managed to accomplish this feat in the 1970s with Blinded By The Light.

⁣The track, originally written and recorded by Bruce Springsteen, was released on his Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. album from 1973. Manfred Mann had bought this album based on a recommendation by a local disc jockey from Philadelphia. He was one of a modest number of people who had bought the album as that was before Springsteen made it big with the mega-hit album Born To Run in 1975.

Meaning of Blinded By The Light Song Lyrics

According to Springsteen, the song was written when he looked through a rhyming dictionary and searched for appropriate lyrical wording. Blinded By The Light is about the ups and downs of a young musician’s life. However, the message always subtly reflects that the downs are the source of the struggles that bring talented musicians to the pinnacle of success.

Its music track is high-energy, and the lyrics talk about the thrill and hope only found in adolescence. Blinded By The Light reflects the invincibility of a youthful attitude that is filled with immeasurable hope and optimism that, in life, anything is possible.

The lyrics are reminiscent of an early Bruce Springsteen, the days when he was just beginning his career. In doing so, he had the good fortune of meeting unique and interesting characters when introducing his music across the Jersey Shore and the local music markets of Philadelphia and New York City.

The first line of the song, “Madman drummers bummers and Indians in the summer with a teenage diplomat” is likely an autobiographical reference:

“Madman drummers” refer to a drummer, Vini Lopez, who had several nicknames, including Mad Man and Mad Dog.

“Indians in the summer” pertains to the Little League Team of Springsteen.
“Teenage Diplomat” is a reference to Springsteen himself.

With a boulder on my shoulder feelin’ kinda older I tripped the Merry-go-round

The first line is a reference, according to his Aunt Dora Kirby, to the fact that Springsteen refused to take off his baseball hat.

A “merry-go-round” refers to baseball slang in which the pitcher consistently walks batters.

The song continues, adding other unrelated events, such as the beginning of verse 4:

Some silicone sister with her manager’s mister told me I got what it takes
She said I’ll turn you on sonny, to something strong if you play that song with the funky break
Blinded by the Light Lyric Controversy
When Manfred Mann’s Earth Band covered this Springsteen tune, the track became a super hit, despite the fact that the revised Blinded By The Light meaning was draped in controversy.
Springsteen originally wrote:
And she was blinded by the light
Oh, cut loose like a deuce
Another runner in the night
These were changed to:
Well she was blinded by the light
Wrapped up like a deuce
Another runner in the night

Note that the word ‘deuce’ references a 1932 Ford Model 18 with a V-8 engine, often called a Deuce Coupe, a two-seater hot-rod car, by automobile collectors and enthusiasts.

The controversy surrounded the fact that fans of the song notoriously misheard the lyrics, believing the “Wrapped up like a deuce” line sounded like “Wrapped up like a douche,” which references a feminine hygiene product.

Note that Mann wanted Springsteen to contribute to the record by singing the last part of the song. He even tried to reach out and ask him directly, avoiding the lengthy manager or publisher route.

But in the end, he sang the part he hoped Springsteen would have sung. Ironically, this part of the track is apparently the only time Mann’s voice can be heard on the recording of Blinded By The Light.

Blinded By The Light: Life as a Hit Record

Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s cover of Blinded By The Light climbed slowly and steadily on the British rock charts but was outperformed in the United States. Its success was in spite (or perhaps because of) the attention the lyric controversy created.

In 1977, the cover by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band hit no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. It also reached the top ten in Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Mann, when attempting to explain the source of the controversy, notes that the recording machine’s azimuth (something about how the tape head angles on the recording tape) created a sound that many believed were the word ‘deuce,’ ‘douche,’ and even, ‘dooce.’

And just like that, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s no.1 song hit a controversial road bump. Quickly, radio stations from the southern parts of the United States (a.k.a., the Bible Belt) complained they couldn’t play the song on air because it sounded like the lyrics include words about a vaginal douche.

The irony of the lyric controversy was not lost on Mann or Springsteen.


⁣What Makes a Great Song Cover?

Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s cover of the song Blinded By The Light is likely to be more well-known than the original recording by its songwriter.


Perhaps, it was the band’s unique style and sound that created the difference, although Springsteen’s raw, brilliant lyrics and vision remain at the core.

What makes a great cover song is the talent that shines through. Both Springsteen and Mann are distinct and hugely talented musicians, with each of their versions completely unique and terrific musical compositions.

Blinded By The Light is pure evidence that a cover can rise to the level of the original if done with a balanced blend of creativity and a healthy respect for the songwriter’s original ideas.

To the unseasoned, Rabbi Shmuley and Candace Owens have maintained a bitter feud over at least two years, having accused each other of everything from hypocrisy to lying to outright bigotry. Shmuley heavily criticised Owens for her embrace of Kanye West after his antisemitic tirades. Owens has hit back, claiming that Shmuley has harassed her publicly, blackmailed her and twisted her statements to present her as a hater of Jewish people.

Their personal grudges aside, the two firebrands are passionate voices for their own communities, something that Piers is eager to tap into. So finally, after years of vitriol, Piers Morgan is joined on Uncensored by both Owens and Shmuley for the first time. Their opening statements set the tone for the discussion, and no one should be surprised that they were confrontational.

The two combatants by and large debate the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, and nail each other to the wall on what they have and haven’t said.

⁣Caddyshack is the satirized story of the Bible – VfB

Danny Noonan (Michael O’Keefe) is an underacheving 17-year-old guy who works as a caddy at the upscale Bushwood Country Club in Beverly Hills to earn enough money to go to college. Danny often caddies for Ty Webb (Chevy Chase), a suave and talented golfer and the son of one of Bushwood’s co-founders. Danny decides to gain favor with Judge Elihu Smails (Ted Knight), the country club’s stodgy co-founder and director of the caddy scholarship program, by caddying for him.

Meanwhile, Carl Spackler (Bill Murray), one of the dim-witted greenskeepers, is entrusted with combating a potentially disastrous gopher infestation. Throughout the film, he tries a variety of methods to kill the gopher (e.g. shooting, drowning) without success.

Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield), a brash and obnoxious nouveau riche real estate developer, begins appearing at the club. Smails is heckled by Czervik as he tees off, causing his shot to go badly wrong. Smails throws a putter away in frustration and accidentally injures a member of the club. Danny takes responsibility for the incident, as a ploy to gain Smails’ trust. Smails encourages him to apply for the caddy scholarship.

At Bushwood’s annual Fourth of July banquet, Danny and his girlfriend Maggie (Sarah Holcomb) work as servers. Czervik continues to irritate Smails and the club members, while Danny becomes attracted to Lacey Underall (Cindy Morgan), Smails’ promiscuous niece. Danny wins the Caddy Day golf tournament and the scholarship, earning him praise from Smails and an invitation to attend the christening ceremony for his boat. The boat is sunk at the event after a collision with Czervik’s larger boat. On returning, Smails discovers Lacey and Danny having a tryst at his house. Expecting to be fired or to have the scholarship revoked, Danny is surprised when Smails only demands that he keeps the incident secret.

Unable to bear the continued presence of the crude-mannered Czervik, Smails confronts him and announces that Czervik will never be granted membership. Czervik counters by announcing that he would never consider being a member: he insults the place and is merely there to evaluate buying Bushwood and developing the land into condominiums. After a brief scuffle and exchange of insults, Ty Webb suggests they discuss a resolution over drinks. After Smails demands satisfaction, Czervik proposes a team golf match with Smails and his regular golfing partner Dr. Beeper (Dan Resin) against Czervik and Webb. Against club rules, they also agree to a $20,000 wager, quickly doubled to $40,000, on the outcome of the match. That evening, Webb practices for the game against Smails and meets Carl, where the two share a bottle of wine and a joint.

The golf match is held the following day. Word spreads of the stakes involved and a crowd builds. During the game, Smails and Beeper take the lead, while Czervik, to his dismay, is “playing the worst game of his life”. He reacts to Smails’ taunts by impulsively redoubling the wager to $80,000 per team. When his own ricocheting ball strikes him, Czervik feigns injury in hopes of having the contest declared a draw. Lou, the course official who is acting as an umpire, tells Czervik his team will forfeit unless they find a substitute. When Webb chooses Danny, Smails threatens to revoke his scholarship, but Czervik promises Danny that he will make it “worth his while” if he wins. Danny eventually decides he would rather humiliate the selfish, conceited Smails than take the scholarship.

By the time they reach the final hole, the score is tied. At the climax of the game, with Danny about to attempt a difficult putt to win, Czervik again redoubles the wager to $160,000 per team. Danny’s putt leaves the ball hanging over the edge of the hole. At that moment, Carl, in his latest attempt to kill the gopher, detonates a series of plastic explosives that he has rigged around the golf course. The explosion shakes the ground and causes the ball to drop into the hole, handing Danny, Webb, and Czervik the victory. Smails refuses to pay, so Czervik beckons two hulking men, named Moose and Roco, to “help the judge find his checkbook.” As Smails is chased around the course, Czervik leads another wild party attended by all of the onlookers at the match, shouting, “Hey everybody! We’re all gonna get laid!”

In the final scene, the gopher emerges, unharmed, and dances amid the smoldering ruins of the golf course.
