A Christian farmer in Texas raised the prized heifers which are essential for priests to serve in the Temple.

Five perfectly red heifers, required for the ritual purification of those who have touched a dead body, arrived in Israel from a ranch in Texas on Thursday, as the Temple Institute continues preparations to lay the ground for the construction of the Third Temple in Jerusalem.

The heifers are all under one year old and if they remain 100% red and avoid any blemishes which would disqualify them, they will each be eligible to be used to create the ashes required by Jewish law to purify those who have been in contact with a dead body, explained the Temple Institute on Monday. This level of purification would be needed in order to allow the kohanim (priests) to carry out their work in a future Temple.

The prized cattle were immediately transported to Haifa where they will sit in quarantine for no less than seven days, in accordance with the regulations of the Israel Veterinary Authority. After the quarantine, they will be released to two separate locations in Israel, one of which will eventually be opened to the public. The heifers will be fed and cared for at these locations until they can be slaughtered and rendered into ashes from their third year onwards.

The heifers were located and brought to Israel with the help of the Boneh Israel organization, which involves both Jews and Christians. Byron Stinson, a Texas rancher and a fundraiser and adviser for the organization, raised the cattle.

The heifers were greeted by a ceremony at Ben-Gurion Airport. Temple Institute officials Rabbi Chanan Kupietzky, Rabbi Tzachi Mamo, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel and Rabbi Azaria Ariel participated in the ceremony, alongside Stinson and Jerusalem and Heritage Ministry director-general Netanel Isaac.

The farmer who raised the cattle is a devout Christian who was intensely interested in this commandment and began breeding cattle for the trait, according to Stinson.

What is a red heifer?

The red heifer is first mentioned in the Book of Numbers 19:3, when God tells Moses and Aaron "This is the ritual law that God has commanded: Instruct the Israelite people to bring you a red cow without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which no yoke has been laid."

The Torah goes on to explain how the heifer is processed and burnt and its ashes mixed into sanctified water. Those who became impure due to touching a human corpse would be purified by having the water mixed with the ashes sprinkled on them twice: once three days after they came in contact with the corpse and a second time seven days after contact.

The Torah relates that a red heifer was brought to Elazar the Priest, the son of Aaron, and was processed for its ashes for the ritual. According to the Talmud, those ashes were used from that moment until the end of the First Temple period. During the Second Temple period, another five to seven red heifers were burnt for their ashes. Maimonides wrote in his compendium of Jewish law, the Mishneh Torah (Laws of the Red Heifer, 3:4), that the next red heifer will be brought by the Messiah.

Why is the red heifer important?

In the modern day, all Jews, including kohanim, are assumed to be impure with the impurity imparted by a corpse. While in everyday life in the modern day this status does not have much of a practical effect, those impure with this type of impurity are prohibited from entering the Temple.

Kohanim impure with this type of impurity are thereby prevented from conducting the services required in the Temple and would need to be purified with the ashes of a red heifer before being able to serve again, making the creation of such ashes a necessary requirement for any attempt to reestablish the Temple in Jerusalem. (One exception is the Pascal sacrifice, which can be offered even by those who are impure with the impurity imparted by a corpse, as long as the majority of the Jewish people are impure with this type of impurity)

Let me start by quickly pointing out that the viral claims, and the viral screenshot of the leaked AirbnB email, do not reveal any government plan to restrict travel and initiate a lockdown!

The email itself only states that AirbnB was revising its Major Disruptive Events Policy from June 6, 2024 onwards. The email only mentions that the policy will now apply to foreseeable weather events too!

We’re updating our Extenuating Circumstances Policy and changing its name to make it easier to understand.

The revised Major Disruptive Events Policy will apply to all trips and Experiences taking place on or after June 6, 2024, regardless of when they were booked.

What’s changing in the policy?

Foreseeable weather events at the reservation’s location are explicitly eligible for coverage it they result in another covered event, such as a government travel restriction or large scale utility outage.

The policy will only apply to events in the place where the reservation is located. Events that impact a quest’s ability to travel to the reservation are no longer covered.

Your continued use of the Airbnb Platform from June 6, 2024 constitutes acceptance of the updated Major Disruptive Events Policy.

While the email mentioned “government travel restriction”, it was in reference to “weather events”. The email most definitely did not mention a lockdown.

Fact #2 : AirBnb Announced Update In March 2024

The Airbnb email was not “leaked” as claimed, but appears to have been sent to all AirBnb hosts, to alert them of this change. In fact, Airbnb publicly announced its policy update on 28 March 2024!

So, there is nothing secret about what was in the email, and the policy changes were already publicly revealed almost a month earlier!

Fact #3 : Policy Updates Do Not Include Lockdowns

If you read the March 28 Airbnb policy update announcement, you will see that it did not mention anything new about lockdowns.

Here is a summary of what Airbnb changed in its Major Disruptive Events Policy from 6 June 2024 onwards:

The policy will explicitly apply to foreseeable weather events, like a hurricane during hurricane season.

Coverage is limited to large-scale events at the destination location only.

The Frank case not only was a miscarriage of justice but also symbolized many of the South’s fears at that time. Workers resented being exploited by northern factory owners who had come south to reorganize a declining agrarian economy. Other popular interpretations of the case include the film They Won’t Forget (1937), based on Ward Greene’s fictionalized account Death in the Deep South (1936), with Lana Turner playing the victim in her first credited screen role; the television mini-series The Murder of Mary Phagan (1988), starring Jack Lemmon as Governor John Slaton; two novels—Richard Kluger’s Members of the Tribe (1977), a detailed reconstruction of the case, but set in Savannah rather than Atlanta, and David Mamet’s The Old Religion (1997), in which a fictionalized Frank tells his story in the first person; and Atlanta playwright Alfred Uhry’s Broadway musical Parade (1999), the title a reference to both the Confederate Memorial Day parade that brought Mary Phagan to town and the lynch mob that took Frank from Milledgeville to Marietta.

⁣As with that other conspiracy mythos, Qanon, that has likely been encouraged every step of the way by Russian disinformation campaigns online, the Tartarian Empire hoax has grown to become a mega-theory as its proponents take a buffet-style approach, incorporating into the myth complex any pet theory or crazy notion they fancy. One can imagine that it’s especially hard to control a conspiracy narrative once it has been fed to the conspiracy nut community. Thus we see claims about the Illuminati come in to explain the worldwide cover-up, or of the Jewish World Conspiracy, which isn’t that surprising considering its connection to Russian claims of Aryan supremacy. To further explain why the existence of Tartaria had to be covered up, conspiracists have incorporated elements of the fantastical claims about Atlantis or hollow earth civilizations: namely that the Tartarians had advanced technology, free wireless energy technology to be more specific, and that the powers that be conspired to hide this from the energy dependent masses. And then, there is the doozy—that Tartaria was actually peopled by giants. Never mind that all the buildings they identify as Tartarian are made for regular size people. They found a few photos of grand, oversized doors, and of course they found statuary and paintings depicting, you guessed it, giants. They link the existence of giants in the lands of Tartary through the tales of Gog and Magog, which have historically been associated with Mongolians, as I discussed in my episode on Prester John. And from there, it just devolved into photoshopped hoaxes of gigantic bones. But the argument against the historical existence of giants deserves to have its own episode and would be too much of a digression here at the end of this one. To conclude, let’s just hope that the fringe nutcases who have taken up the Tartarian standard and run with it online continue to take the idea in such ridiculous and fantastical directions that it becomes ever more laughable, and thus, if we’re lucky, useless as Russian propaganda.

‘Cheap fake’ is not new terminology

Misinformation researchers first coined the term "cheap fake" in 2019, as "deepfake" videos made with artificial intelligence grew more popular. Cheap fakes are real videos that have been manually edited with low-cost, easy-to-access tools or taken out of context.

Some social media users falsely claimed White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre invented the term "cheap fake."

After showing footage of Jean-Pierre talking about the spree of edited Biden clips, the narrator in a June 18 Instagram video said, "Cheap fake videos? Did she just make that up? That’s not even a word or a thing. … They’re telling you guys that those videos are fake and manipulated when it is raw footage not tampered with at all."

Creators of cheap fakes use techniques such as slowing or speeding footage, cropping or zooming in on videos, and clipping parts of videos to omit the full context.

By contrast, "deepfake" videos are typically more sophisticated because they are created with AI technology. Deepfakes can be real videos manipulated by AI, or videos produced entirely by AI.

Darren Linvill, a Clemson University communication professor specializing in social media disinformation, said cheap fakes have several advantages over other tools of disinformation. Those include being easy to create and difficult for social media platforms to regulate because they often don’t violate the platforms’ rules, said Linvill, who also serves as co-director of Clemson’s Media Forensics Hub. Meta’s Third Party Fact-Checking program, for instance, does not apply to politicians.

FLORENCE, Ky. (WXIX) - The four people and the suspect in the deadly early Saturday mass shooting have been identified.

An emotional Florence Police Chief Jeff Mallery released their names during a 1 p.m. press conference. He said the department had never dealt with anything of this magnitude and that they were still trying to process what happened overnight on Ridgecrest Drive.

The victims:

Delaney Eary, 19 years old
Hayden Rybicki, 20 years old
Melissa Parrett, 44 years old
Shane Miller, 20 years old
The suspect, who later died at St. Elizabeth from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, is 21-year-old Chase Garvey, Chief Mallery announced.

The shooting happened during a birthday for Parrett’s 21-year-old child at her home on Ridgecrest Drive in Florence, according to the chief.

Garvey was not invited to the party, but did know those celebrating, Chief Mallery explained.

The 21-year-old shot seven people, four of whom died at the scene. The three surviving victims are expected to be okay.

Shortly before 3 a.m., officers arrived at the home after receiving multiple calls about an “active shooter,” the chief said Saturday.

“When officers arrived, they could still hear gunshots,” Chief Mallory said. “They approached the residence and saw multiple victims. Partygoers told the police that the suspect had fled.”

Police say Garvey fled the scene, leading officers on a chase. Because Garvey was known to those at the birthday party, the chief said officers were given a description of his vehicle.

Those officers saw multiple victims, including two in the front yard, he said.

”We train on this, hoping it would never happen, but unfortunately, we’ve been touched like so many departments and cities,” Chief Mallery said of the officers who went to the Ridgecrest Drive home.

By that point, Garvey had left the mass shooting scene, according to the police chief.

Officers “quickly” found his vehicle near Farmview Drive and US-42, according to an earlier press release from police.

Garvey did not stop, prompting a Florence officer and Boone County Sheriff’s Office deputy to pursue.

“A Boone County deputy attempted to stop the vehicle,” Chief Mallory continued. “A pursuit ensued, traveling south on I-42 into Union, the suspect shot himself and crashed his vehicle.”

His car crashed into a ditch on Dale Heimbrock Way near Hicks Pike, police explained.

Garvey was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he died, according to police.

In the press conference Saturday, Chief Mallery stated that Garvey was a convicted felon with a history of sex crimes.

“This is the first mass shooting in Florence, so it’s understandably emotional for everyone involved,” Mallery said.

His motive remains unknown as police continue their murder investigation.
