“There is no such thing as an ‘1849 Abortion Ban’ in Wisconsin,” Dane County Judge Diane Schlipper said in a ruling that provided a massive but preliminary win for Wisconsin Democrats and abortion rights advocates. Instead, the law applies only to feticide, the act of killing a fetus, usually by “assaulting and battering the mother,” according to the ruling.

“A physician who performs a consensual medical abortion commits a crime only ‘after the fetus or unborn child reaches viability,’” continued Schlipper, who previously questioned whether the 174-year-old law applies to the procedure.

Schlipper’s ruling shooting down the purported ban came in an order rejecting a defendant’s motion to dismiss Democrats’ case seeking to clarify whether the 1849 feticide law, 940.04, applies to abortions.

It doesn’t appear that abortion access will be immediately restored, but Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin said they were evaluating their options “in providing abortion care as soon as we can.”

Diane Welsh, who represents the physicians who joined as plaintiffs in the case, said her clients will “now move promptly to obtain a declaratory judgment to ensure that physicians can provide health care that Wisconsin patients need.”

“I hope this ruling makes clear that no Wisconsin prosecutor should be contemplating any prosecution for abortion under 940.04,” she continued.

Heather Weininger, executive director of the anti-abortion group Wisconsin Right to Life, called the ruling “a devastating setback in our ongoing fight to protect Wisconsin’s preborn children.”

A game of Internet Clue has broken out on social media as Americans share memes about the cocaine found at the White House over the holiday weekend.

Mystery ensued on Tuesday following reports that a suspicious white powder that turned out to be the narcotic was found at the White House library on Sunday, sparking a hazmat situation and forcing an evacuation.

The discovery came two days after recovering addict Hunter Biden, 52, was last seen at the White House, and internet trolls took joy in speculating on the culprit.

There is no suggestion the cocaine found at the White House belongs to Hunter Biden. Investigators are still probing the white powder and where it came form.

The library is open to tours by the public and regularly sees high footfall throughout the day.

Still, Americans took to Twitter to make light of the issue and share memes mocking the president and his son.

The term 'cocaine' even became a trending topic on Twitter on Tuesday.

One meme shared on Twitter featured a Clue game board and made fun of the mystery behind the drugs.

It said: 'Hunter Biden with the drugs in the library.'

'It's as funny as the game of Clue,' read a differentTweet. 'Hunter Biden, with the 8 Ball, in the Library.

'Honestly, as much as I would like to believe it was him. Somehow I can't place him in any library, never mind the one in the White House.

Another meme showed Al Pacino's iconic Scarface character and the words: 'Hunter Biden chillin at the White House.'

The Biden family arrived back at the White House for Independence Day celebrations as the Secret Service continues to investigate the finding.

U.S. Secret Service spokesman Anthony Gulielmi told the Washington Post that they are conducting further testing to confirm if the substance is the illegal drug.

He also said that President Joe Biden was not in the executive mansion when the substance was discovered.

A uniformed member of the USSS found the white powder substance while conducting a routine round through the White House.

Authorities are investigating how the cocaine got into the White House.

The president and his son maintain that he has kicked his addiction.

Most recently, the younger Biden reached a plea deal with Justice Department prosecutors to avoid jail time after lying on a federal form to purchase a firearm. He checked a box claiming that he did not use and was not addicted to illegal substances – a fact that would disqualify him from buying the gun.

Biden critics and conservative decried Hunter's plea deal, claiming that anyone other than the president's son would receive jail time for the same offense.

Jeff DeWit, chair of the Arizona Republican Party, can be heard asking Lake, a close ally of Donald Trump, to name her price to stay out of politics for two years.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KRON) — A man came to a Walnut Creek City Council meeting Tuesday night and made anti-Semitic comments during public comment before doing a Nazi salute and threatening another Holocaust.
On Tuesday night, the person who identified himself as “Scotty” said “Jewish supremacists” were attacking free speech, blaming Jewish people for the city canceling its virtual public comment section in October 2023 due to a rise in hate speech. “Scotty” then went on the use a Jewish slur and curse at city council members, then threatened “another Holocaust for real this time,” before doing a Nazi salute and saying, “white power.”
Councilmember Kevin Wilk, who is Jewish, apologized to the community.
“I’d like to apologize on behalf of the city council and anybody who had to hear that horrible, horrible speech. This is America and we do have laws that protect people from saying anything as you just saw. So I apologize on behalf of the humanity,” Wilk said.
KRON4 has reached out to the Walnut Creek Police Department and the City of Walnut Creek for comment but has not heard back at the time of publishing.

Good comment: The one that pushed the other's eyeglasses/forehead/eyes committed battery. He should be arrested. The other was just responding to the attack and could be said to have been merely defending himself. This is a clear cut arrest for battery, simple and easy. Happens all the time, but not on camera so much.
