Two men were rushed to the hospital after a broad daylight shooting and brawl in the street that was captured on nearby surveillance cameras Wednesday afternoon.
The violence occurred just before 3:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Florida Avenue, near South Western Avenue in Hemet, according to video footage of the shooting obtained by KTLA.
Two men are seen in the video walking on the sidewalk on Florida Avenue, in front of Vero’s Taco Shop, when one of them, dressed in a white t-shirt, jeans and a ballcap, raises his arms and yells across the street.
“F–k your hood, homie,” he’s heard yelling, as both men continue down the sidewalk.
Moments later, another man, wearing dark pants and a light-colored hoodie, pulls up alongside the two in the street on a bicycle, his right hand firmly in his pocket. It appears as if words are exchanged and as the man in the white t-shirt charges, the bicyclist pulls a gun out and fires two rounds, dropping the man to the ground.
The man in the dark shorts appears to get the upper hand on the shooter, getting him off the bike and ripping his hoodie off.
In the footage, the shooter is last seen running in the middle of the four-lane roadway toward South Western Avenue.
Asked for comment, officials with the Hemet Police Department told KTLA that they responded to the scene and that details are extremely limited as the incident is under active investigation.
Action Eye News, who captured the video, reported that both the gunshot victims were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

Judge Jennifer Edwards was hearing a domestic violence complaint lodged against Melissa Harvick.
Harvick kept interrupting the judge and was given 10 days in jail for contempt of court, and that's when Harvick tried to leap over the railing to get it Judge Edwards.
Three court security officers quickly jump in and struggle to bring her under control.
The 10-day sentence for contempt was changed to 120-days, a protective order for her husband, terroristic threatening charges, and intimidation of a public official charges. Her husband was awarded sole custody of their children.
The Judge recused herself from future proceedings since she became a victim in new charges involving the lady woman ogre.

The NYPD says a vehicular ramming incident that sparked alarm among Jews in New York City was an accident.
Security footage circulating online shows a black minivan plowing into a group of women pushing strollers who appear to be Jewish.
Social media users claim the incident is a hate crime, but a police spokesperson says it was a “motor vehicle collision” that took place on Tuesday.
A 69-year-old man driving a 2014 Toyota made a right turn onto Nostrand Ave. at the Kings Highway intersection, striking three pedestrians, the NYPD tells The Times of Israel.
The intersection is next to the Kingsway Jewish Center and the area has a large Jewish population.
The accident caused injuries to two women, aged 62 and 56, and a 1-year-old boy, the NYPD says. Emergency responders took the injured to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition.
NYPD Deputy Chief Richie Taylor, the NYPD’s highest-ranking Orthodox Jewish officer, told The Times of Israel the collision was the result of “extreme inattention” on the part of the driver, who stayed on the scene and apologized after the incident.
“We don’t see anything about criminality,” Taylor said.
The incident surfaced a day after a ramming attack in New Orleans.
In May, a man was arrested on hate crimes charges after attempting to ram Orthodox Jews with his car in Brooklyn.

Recently Malema wedged the governing ANC into supporting expropriation of land without compensation. So far, the government has not seized any farmland without paying for it.
But white farmers say that already the private market for farmland has collapsed. “Why would you buy a farm if tomorrow the government is going to take it?” asks Jo-an Engelbrecht.
For now, Engelbrecht is digging in on his farm in the faint hope that President Cyril Ramaphosa can stabilise a country wracked by crime and corruption after a decade of Jacob Zuma’s rule. But for his daughter Tessa, her grandparents’ murder was the final straw. She wants out – maybe to Australia, if those hints of fast track visas materialise. “I wouldn’t think twice if I got the chance,” she says.
