Police body camera footage released Friday reveals the moment Paul Pelosi was viciously pummeled with a hammer in front of two cops by an unhinged attacker during a home invasion last year.

Bodycam footage shows a pained look on Pelosi’s his face as he holds on to one side of the hammer, while DePape prises his fingers away shortly after they open the door to cops and ask what’s going on.

DePape wrestles the hammer free and quickly swings it with full force as the cops run at him during the bizarre incident at their San Francisco abode on Oct. 28.

The attack left Pelosi unconscious with a fractured skull in a pool of his own blood.

San Francisco police officer Kyle Cagney described the incident in court last month when he and his partner arrived at the Pelosi residence for a wellness check at around 2:20 a.m.

In the video, Cagney’s partner can be heard ordering the men to “drop the hammer” — to which DePape responds “Um, nope” while Pelosi obeys the order and lets go of the tool.

“Whoa! Oh, s–t!” one of the officers can be heard shouting.

Cagney then tackled DePape and eventually pulled the hammer from his hands as Pelosi lay face-down on the ground bleeding, the officer said at the hearing.

The body camera footage, which also shows Pelosi answering the door, was played during at DePape’s preliminary court hearing on Dec. 14. — but prosecutors refused to release the evidence to the public at that time.

On Wednesday, a San Francisco County judge ruled the district attorney’s office must release the body camera footage along with 911 calls recorded the night of the break-in.

During the attack, DePape allegedly demanded to know “Where’s Nancy?” before threatening to tie up Pelosi and growling, “I can take you out,” according to court documents.

Pelosi was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery to remove and repair part of his skull. He spent nearly a week in intensive care.

DePape pleaded not guilty to attempted homicide, first degree burglary and other charges in November.

He was also hit with federal charges and faces up to 50 years behind bars if convicted.

Look, I've listened to TikTok's management. I've heard about the firewalls they've tried to build. They did not convince me. There are still constant reports of TikTok being potentially used to follow journalists. You continue to see these things where Chinese engineers are gaining access to American data, even though TikTok management says they're not. At the end of the day, you've got a hundred million Americans using TikTok on average 90 minutes a day. That's a powerful tool.

He said, "Americans would not tolerate their own government collecting so much sensitive information about them.” Last week, the FBI acknowledged that it had, in the past, purchased US location data rather than get a warrant to obtain it. That concerns me. I think the onus is on the FBI to ensure privacy is protected, and I do have concerns about some of the American-based companies, the Facebooks and Googles of the world. But they also enjoy First Amendment protections, and where I've tried to focus my activities, with regard to American companies, is on things like data portability and interoperability, so if you get tired of Facebook it's easier to transport yourself over to NewCo. Right now, it's really hard for new competitors to come into the space. Or dark patterns, things where there's manipulation. The old thing where apps only allow you to say “yes.” I think precluding dark patterns on American-based social media makes sense, and I've got bipartisan legislation on that. But it hasn't moved. I do think there is a different level of threat when the ultimate recipient, or manipulator, could be an authoritarian regime. I do think that raises the threat. But that doesn't mean there are no obligations on the FBI, and I think there should be obligations on American social media, and I think it's an embarrassment that we don't have a national privacy law.

⁣Transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney posted an Instagram video on Saturday claiming that Bud Light has become the latest company to celebrate the star living as "a girl" for a full year by creating a special anniversary beer can.

Mulvaney is a biological man who identifies as a transgender woman.

The Washington Examiner reached out to Bud Light for confirmation and comment but did not receive a response.

Other social media users scoffed at the alleged partnership with Bud Light.

Just the ending:

During the October 2022 altercation, Ivery said she wanted a portion of her Target purchase to be paid for as reparations. During the incident, a manager is seen on surveillance, which has no audio, punching Ivery once before police arrive.

According to an affidavit, the 37-year-old allegedly caused the manager to fear for his safety. The manager was never charged because police said he was acting in self-defense.

Security footage shows Ivery first arguing with a Target employee near the checkout lanes. The employee continues to back up and attempts to stop Ivery by putting her hands against her shoulders.

The police report details that Ivery "wanted to have a conversation about her bill," which cost more than $1,000. Target employees that spoke with police said Ivery claimed she was owed reparations and she wanted Target to supply those.

The manager is then seen approaching Ivery in the surveillance footage. According to the police report, the manager asked Ivery to "calm down and leave the store," but she started screaming at him. As Ivery continues to walk toward the manager, he is seen backing up toward his office.

The manager said he attempted to close his office door, according to the police report, but Ivery entered. The surveillance footage shows the manager punching her once in the face, with Ivery falling to the ground. He then calls 911.

In a report, police said they found Ivery to be the aggressor in the situation after watching video footage.

Ivery told police she wanted to have a bigger discussion about money and wanted Target to compensate her for the items she attempted to buy but could not afford.

"I was trying to have a hard conversation in a safe place," Ivery said.

In her discussion with an officer, Ivery compared herself to Rosa Parks.

"This is my Rosa Parks moment, dude," Ivery said. "Don't play with me."

When a manager tells Ivery that she is no longer allowed at Target, she becomes visibly upset.

As Ivery explains her frustrations to the officers, she is then told that she is being charged. When she is taken into custody, she claims that the officers are violating her rights as a human being in order to uphold the law.

Ivery was convicted of disorderly conduct but acquitted of menacing. She was sentenced to one day at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

WILLOW GROVE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Video captured a botched and painful escape by an alleged shoplifter last week at the Willow Grove Mall.

Police say Abdi Wasuge tried to make his getaway after a robbery at the Apple store on April 13.

He tried lower himself down from the second floor of the mall, but then fell to the ground.

Police say he broke his pelvis and tailbone.

Video of the leap has gone viral on the internet. It's now part of the police investigation.

We showed some people the painful fall and the reaction has been what you'd expect.

"Was he high or something? I don't know. Just jumping like that," said one viewer.

Abington police say Wasuge acted like a customer at the Apple store and said he wanted to purchase two MacBook Pro laptops, an iPhone 14 and some accessories. Instead of buying the items, police say he snatched them and tried to run out of the store.

But a good Samaritan engaged with Wasuge, a struggle ensued, and police say Wasuge threatened the good Samaritan saying, "Back off or I'll shoot you."

He dropped the stolen goods and then made his getaway until that plunge onto the hard tile floor.

Wasuge also faces charges of simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment.

Wasuge remains at a local hospital recovering from his injuries.

Police say his last known address is in Tempe, Arizona. It's unclear what he was doing in the Willow Grove area.

The SCOTUS as of April 19, 2023 has received, filed and docketed Loy Arlan Brunson's emergency RULE 11 PETITION FOR A WRIT OF CERTIORARI.

What is Rule 11: A petition for a writ of certiorari to review a case pending in a United States court of appeals, before judgment is entered in that court, will be granted only upon a showing that the case is of such Imperative Public Importance as to justify deviation from normal appellate practice and to require immediate determination in this Court.

This new Docketed case #22-1028, allows the US Solicitor General, until the 24th of May, to respond. Once the Solicitor General responds or not, either way, on or before May 24th, the court will be free to set a date for conference.

Before Donald Trump became Commander-in-Chief, powerful politicians used to let other people disparage the truth and attack critics on their behalf. Jerome Corsi was one of those other people, an artist of the dog whistle and I’m-just-asking-the-question routines, who electrified viewers of Fox News and listeners of Rush Limbaugh by saying the kinds of grotesque falsehoods that senators and congressmen dared not. Corsi first made his name by swift-boating John Kerry, during the 2004 Presidential campaign, but he hit the right-wing big time with the rise of Barack Obama. In 2008, he published a best-selling book called “The Obama Nation”—say it quickly—a canonical text for those who considered Obama “a corrupt, enraged, anti-American, drug-dealing, anti-Israel, pseudo-Christian radical leftist, black militant, plagiarist, and liar, trained as a Muslim and mentored by a menagerie of Marxists, Communists, crypto-Communists, and terrorists,” as Hendrik Hertzberg put it when the book was published. After Obama won the Presidency, Corsi became a guiding light of the birther movement, whose members insisted that Obama had been born somewhere other than the U.S., and was thus disqualified from serving as President—the same racist, denialist movement that Trump himself goosed to great effect as a precursor to his 2016 Presidential run.

In 1986, Frank Zappa engaged in a fiery debate about dirty lyrics and censorship based on religious morality in this classic clip from CNN’s “Crossfire.”

Debating with John Lofton, conservative columnist for the Washington Times, Zappa noted that

The biggest threat to America today is not communism. It’s moving America toward a fascist theocracy. Everything that’s happened under the Reagan Administration is steering us right down that pipe.

Asked later in the interview to give “one example of a fascist theocracy” by co-host Tom Braden, Zappa replied:
When you have a government that prefers a certain moral code derived from a certain religion, and that moral code turns into legislation to suit one certain religious point of view, and if that code happens to be very very right wing, almost toward Attila the Hun…

Lofton responded: “Well then you are an anarchist. Every form of civil government is based on some kind of morality Frank,” but Zappa set him straight, curtly remarking: “Morality in terms of behavior, not in terms of theology!”

Frank ZAPPA: I’m not going to give you a civics lesson, but I can tell you one thing: we must not see eye-to-eye on a government that must forbid things in order to protect families.
John LOFTON (Washington Times): What is the government’s role? You’ve told me several times what it should do.
ZAPPA: What about defense? What about national defense?
LOFTON: Our families are under attack from people like you with these lyrics.
ZAPPA: Could I make a comment about National Defense: the biggest threat to America today is not communism. It’s moving America toward a fascist theocracy. And everything that’s happened under the Reagan Administration is steering us right down that pipe.
Robert NOVAK: Oh, Mr Zappa…
ZAPPA: Yes, MISTER Zappa…

I really do not buy the robot replacement theory.
It's very difficult to keep technology running.
The more complicated the tech is, the not difficult it is to keep it running.
Something like a robot is going to require a dozen 120+ iq people with different skillsets to stay running.
For a lot of jobs, it's just not going to be worth it.
For the others, you'll be replacing the cost of human labor with the cost of engineers and technicians.
