The noble Lord opposite, if he will allow me to say so, I think unduly stressed some of the supposed objections to the pasteurization of milk, one of them being taste, another being its effect upon nutritive value, and the third being the removal of vitamins. Whatever may have been said in days gone by with regard to taste, I do not think any reasonable person nowadays, with any knowledge of the facts, would suggest that properly pasteurized milk is either nasty, metallic, or otherwise unattractive to drink, if the pasteurization takes place as it ought to take place, between 135 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for a matter of half an hour, with a subsequent cooling for at least five minutes to below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. There should be no difference in the flavour of the milk as a result of the pasteurizing process. The same may be said with regard to the effect upon nutritive value. After all, there are several highly civilized countries in the world where the bulk of the milk is pasteurized, and has been pasteurized for many years past, and it has never been suggested—at least I have never heard it suggested seriously—that the process has appreciably reduced its nutritive value.

With regard to the removal of vitamins, there is only- one vitamin, which is perhaps all too scarce in milk, which can ill be spared, and is by neglect in the treatment of milk very often entirely removed. That is vitamin C. I do not know if your Lordships are aware of this fact, that, if you keep a jug of milk in the sunshine for half an hour, the whole of the vitamin C in the milk disappears. It is therefore most desirable, if you want to retain that vitamin, which is particularly valuable to infants and young children, that milk should not be exposed to sunlight after it has been drawn from the cow.

I want to say quite frankly that I welcome, indeed I am prepared to endorse, this Motion of the noble Lord opposite in favour of pasteurization, using his words, "as far as is practicable," and so long as he does not act as a deterrent to 658securing bovine health improvement. The main advantage of improving the health of our dairy cattle is to increase the yield. That is an even greater advantage than improving the quality of the milk. We have to increase the yield of milk, which is materially reduced in this country today by bovine disease, by tuberculosis, by mastitis in particular and by contagious abortion. It is perfectly true to say that it has frightened a good many people, and we cannot deny it, that 40 per cent. of the whole of our cattle in this country react to the tuberculin test. But we have to bear in mind at the same time, that only one half per cent. of our dairy cattle yield tubercular milk, and, if we were to take the drastic steps in the matter of slaughter which are taken in the United States, where there is something less than one half per cent. of the cattle affected with tuberculosis, of course the availability of milk in this country would be reduced. Milk would not be so available in this country and, as a result, there would be an adverse effect on the health of the population, and especially that of the children.

I am also uttering this warning because there is a great deal of popular misconception on the danger to human health of milk which contains bovine tubercular germs. It is my experience from time to time to receive drafts of articles and books on various agricultural subjects with the request that I shall provide a foreword or preface. I received one only a week ago, and the proposed title of the book was, Your Enemy the Cow. That book, so far as I was able to read it, contained a good deal of information, although rather exaggerated, similar to that which the noble Lord, Lord Rothschild, has submitted to your Lordships to-day. But to my mind (and I told the author quite candidly what I thought, the whole book is damned by its title. In a country like this, where the milk yield of our cattle is something less than the miserable amount of 500 gallons during a lactation period—500 gallons a year—as against 750 to 800 gallons in countries like Denmark, Finland, Holland and others; and remembering that the actual consumption of milk a day in this country is an average of one half-pint, whereas in most civilized European countries it is at least 5o per cent. more, and in many countries double, for any one with any knowledge...

Over the weekend, a viral video showed what appeared to be a violent attack during a track meet as one girl was struck in the head by a baton during a relay race. However, the apparent attacker has broken her silence and is claiming that it was an accident.

The incident occurred during the 4×200 meter relay at the VHSL Class 3 State Indoor Championships at Liberty University on Friday. During the second leg of the race, Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker attempted to cut into lane one during a battle for second place. As Tucker pulled out in front, she was struck in the head from behind by her opponent's baton.

“When we get onto the other side of the track we have to cross to lane one, you have to merge in, and as I was coming up on her she kind of made me get cut off a little bit so I backed away,” Tucker explained to WSLS.

“When we got to the curve she kept bumping me in my arm and when we got off the curve I finally passed her and that was when she hit me with the baton.”

The video of the incident seems to show her opponent, Alaila Everett, winding up and striking Tucker in the head with her baton, and the strike was so strong that a doctor later diagnosed her with a concussion and a possible skull fracture. However, Everett is insisting that it was all an accident.

"I know my intentions and I would never hit someone on purpose," Everett told Wavy.com.

Everett claimed that she struck Tucker accidentally after she lost her balance.

"After a couple times of hitting her, my baton got stuck behind her back like this, and it rolled up her back. I lost my balance and, when I pumped my arms again, she got hit," she said.

Everett says that she has since received death threats and been called racial slurs as a result of the incident.

"They are assuming my character, calling me ghetto and racial slurs, death threats," she said. "All of this off of a nine-second video."

After the race, Tucker expressed frustration that she did not receive an apology from Everett or anyone else. Everett claims she has tried to reach out to Tucker aftewards but has been blocked on social media.

AUSTIN, Texas — Authorities have arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with Thursday night's 17-vehicle crash on I-35 that left five people dead, including an infant and a child.

Solomun Weldekeal Araya faces five counts of intoxication manslaughter and two counts of intoxication assault, according to the Austin Police Department. He is currently in custody at the Travis County Jail.

CBS Austin has confirmed Araya is scheduled to have a court date next week for a previous speeding violation in Wilmer in the DFW area.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:38 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35 between Howard Lane and Parmer Lane in North Austin. The area is currently under construction, with concrete barriers lining the roadway.

THE BEGINING
Reno was established right next to the first bridge
to cross the Truckee River in the late 1800s. By the mid-1900s, Reno had
become famous for gaming & nightlife, and the river that ran
through it took a back seat to the glitz and glamour of downtown. In the
1990s, the city created The Raymond I. Smith Truckee River Walk, which
brought new attention to Reno’s scenic river corridor. Today, local
merchants are proud to welcome you back to The Riverwalk District to
celebrate the beautiful place where Reno began. Reno has long been known
for its constant reinvention of itself since the beginning of the
Comstock Lode, through the popular 1930s and 1940s gaming and divorce
era. The area along the banks of the Truckee River has been home to some
of the states most historical treasures.

REBIRTH OF THE RIVERWALK
Over time the area has been reestablished
and renamed as the Riverwalk. The Riverwalk encompasses hotels,
restaurants, entertainments venues and a lovely park built upon an
island. Since the bustling years of the Comstock Lode and the early
Divorce craze, Reno’s image along the banks of the Truckee river began
to deteriorate and the once lovely areas around it began to suffer. In

⁣Newly-released mobile phone footage shows the moment Israeli soldiers opened fired on a convoy of ambulances in Gaza, killing 15 rescue workers. The video contradicts the Israel Defence Forces account of the incident, in which they claimed the vehicles had been travelling without headlights or emergency flashing lights and appeared to be a threat.

The video, released by the Palestine Red Crescent Society shows the clearly-marked ambulances with headlights and emergency flashing lights switched on. The PRCS said the video was obtained from the phone of a paramedic who was killed in the Israeli attack.

In response to the new video, the IDF told the BBC: "All claims, including the documentation circulating about the incident, will be thoroughly and deeply examined to understand the sequence of events and the handling of the situation".

The video shows the marked vehicles drawing to a halt on the edge of the road, lights still flashing, and at least two emergency workers stepping out wearing reflective clothing. Shooting can then be heard lasting for several minutes as the man filming says prayers.

The footage was found on his phone after his body was recovered from a shallow grave one week after the incident. The bodies of the eight paramedics, six Gaza Civil Defence workers and one United Nations employee were found buried in sand, along with their wrecked vehicles. It took international organisations days to negotiate safe access to the site.

Israel claimed a number of Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants had been killed in the shooting, but has not provided any evidence for that claim or explained the alleged threat to its troops.

In 2009, while residing in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, I learned an FBI agent named “John Regan” was trafficking babies and “kids” with members of the Florida judicial community connected to JEFFREY EPSTEIN and moving them out of the country through the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington DC.

I was interviewed by the MN FBI in 2010 by Special Agent A.J. Eilerman. I gave the FBI the details of my recorded journalistic investigation.

I subsequently learned FBI agent “John Regan” was actually the famous FBI agent “Bob Hamer” who appeared on FOX NEWS with Hannity, Oprah, and others.

Bob Hamer was made famous for playing the role of a “pedophile” to infiltrate NAMBLA. I realized the photograph sent to me by Wayanne Kruger of FBI agent “John Regan” that I published in my book, was one and the same as FBI agent “Bob Hamer” who was appearing on the Board of Advisors of Veterans For Child Rescue Inc (V4CR) which was formed by Hillary Clinton’s bodyguard Craig Randall (Sawman) Sawyer in April of 2017 and rolled out on INFO WARS with Alex Jones.

The fact that FBI Bob Hamer’s FACE was in my book explained why a Broward County, FL Family Court judge named Michael Kaplan who had NO JURISDICTION over me (MN resident) WHATSOEVER issued an INJUNCTION FOR PROTECTION AGAINST REPEAT VIOLENCE that ORDERED me to STOP selling my book forever and turn over all of my FIREARMS to the BROWARD COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. I was kidnapped 4 times by STATE OF MINNESOTA over this hoax.

In 2020 during the run-up to the election I began to receive threats from V4CR warning me that I was going to be kidnapped, tortured, and murdered (as was my escrow agent former Administrative Tribunal judge Randi Lynn Erickson) because I was reporting on industrial scale international child sex trafficking. VICE ADMIRAL CHARLES W. MOORE, V4CR, told me V4CR was close to GENERAL MARK MILLEY, GENERAL MICHAEL FLYNN and PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP.

I continued to monitor former Navy SEAL TEAM 6 SNIPER Craig (Sawman) Sawyer.

In November 2023 I alerted the U.S. Secret Service that Trump’s life was in danger and explained who was targeting Trump.

Immediately after the attempted assassination of Trump in Butler, PA on July 13, 2024, I reported that Craig Sawyer posted a photo of a sniper rifle on Twitter/X and then appeared on INFO WARS and claimed he’d been in communications with Trump’s security team.

Sawyer also appeared on the Hagmann Report.

Note: Hagmann and Sawyer are co-plaintiffs in an Ohio, lawsuit.

Two days after Trump announced he’s seeking all U.S. Secret Service reports on the assassination attempt, Doug Hagmann appeared on INFO WARS and said he looked into the “eyeballs” of a 2nd man on the Butler roof and “identified” him.

⁣An instructor and PhD student with Washington State University (WSU) has been arrested for allegedly assaulting an engineering student who wore a “Take America Back” hat in support of President Donald Trump.

A police report obtained by The Jason Rantz Show on KTTH said the instructor, Patrick Mahoney, allegedly grabbed the student’s hat and threw it into the street, after which the student, identified as Jay Sani, attempted to defend himself. Per KTTH:

After attempting to defend himself, the police reports say that Mahoney, along with a second suspect identified as Gerald Hoff, “grabbed Sani and took him to the ground.”

“Once on the ground, Mahoney grabbed Sani’s head and slammed it into the ground. Sani then moved his hands to approximately shoulder height and said something to the effect of he put his hands up to not make the fight worse. Mahoney then said ‘F**k you or f**k off’ to Sani before walking away,” the police report says.

Trump is putting his ‘touches’ on the White House with flagpoles, art and an Oval Office overhaul

New flag poles

Earlier Wednesday, Trump took an impromptu stroll outside toward the Pennsylvania Avenue fence with head groundskeeper Dale Haney and other staff members. Asked what he was doing, Trump said he was scoping out a location for a flagpole.

He told reporters afterward that he’s installing two “beautiful” flagpoles on the grounds because “they’ve needed flagpoles for 200 years.” He said the poles would be “paid for by Trump” and could be installed as soon as next week.

The American and POW/MIA flags fly on the roof of the White House every day. Trump had them lowered on Monday after Pope Francis’ death.

Oval Office overhaul

Trump pledged in his inaugural address to preside over a “golden age of America.” But he appears to have ushered it first into an Oval Office he has redecorated by adding golden accents to the fireplace, doorway arches, walls and other areas of the room. It hasn’t gone unnoticed.

“I really must say the Oval Office has never looked better,” Paul Atkins, the new Securities and Exchange Commission chairman, said Tuesday after his ceremonial swearing-in there. “One could really describe it as glistening, and I’ve heard stories about it. It’s true. It’s the touch of a confident president, leading with optimism towards an American golden age.”

Every president adjusts the office decor to their liking, often with new furniture, rugs, draperies and other items. Some hire decorators. Former President Joe Biden had one of his brothers handle it.

Trump seems to have directed the process himself.

“I’ve done some ‘Trump touches’ to the Oval Office,” he told the championship Ohio State football team when he invited them for a tour after he hosted the players and coaches last week. “It’s a little nicer than it used to be, I think.”

New Trump art

Earlier this month, Trump hung a portrait depicting a moment after last summer’s assassination attempt, thereby bumping the official portrait of former President Barack Obama to another wall in the foyer.

The new painting was donated by Andrew Pollock, who lost his daughter Meadow in the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Another image of Trump now hangs on the ground floor between the official portraits of former first ladies Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.

Revealed in a social media post by first-year Rep. Jimmy Patronis, a Florida Republican, the image of Trump features the red, white and blue of an American flag superimposed over the president’s headshot on a black background.

The White House on Wednesday confirmed that the image is real.
