What are the different options for the COVID-19 vaccine?
SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) is the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Globally, numerous vaccines have been developed against COVID-19. In the United States, three vaccines for COVID-19 have been authorized or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA): Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. The majority of patients in the US have received either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, but all three are highly effective in preventing serious disease, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. Although certain side effects may occur, the benefits greatly outweigh the risks.
In the United Kingdom, Australia, and other countries (but not in the US), a vaccine produced by AstraZeneca has been widely administered. Though it is also effective, it has certain rare but unique side effects as discussed below. Nevertheless, its benefits still greatly outweigh its risks.
Important differences in the manufacturing process distinguish these vaccines from one another. The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines are both nucleoside-modified mRNA, encoding the viral spike (S) glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine comprises a recombinant, replication-incompetent Ad26 vector, encoding a stabilized variant of the S protein. Similarly, the AstraZeneca vaccine is a replication-deficient modified adenovirus ChAdOx1, containing the coding sequence of the S protein.
Put simply, the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines are mRNA vaccines, whereas the Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca vaccines are adenovirus-vector vaccines.
Are the COVID-19 vaccines safe?
Over 400 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in the US, with almost 7 billion doses administered worldwide. For the vast majority of people, including those with vascular disease, the benefits of vaccination against COVID-19 overwhelmingly outweigh any risks. These vaccines are undergoing continuous and intense safety monitoring. Across numerous clinical trials, the vaccines have been shown to be safe and effective, and they clearly reduce the risk of serious infection, hospitalization, and death related to COVID-19.
Although rare side effects have been reported with these vaccines, these events occur much less frequently than the often severe and life-threatening complications that occur with COVID-19. In summary, these vaccines are safe and effective.

The COVID-19 vaccines have been subjected to some of the most intense monitoring in medical history. In the US, this includes monitoring through the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), which is a national early warning system that the US FDA uses to monitor the safety of vaccines after they are authorized or licensed for use. VAERS helps to detect unusual or unexpected reporting patterns of adverse events for vaccines.

Video of former First Lady Michelle Obama praising convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein at a White House event resurfaced on Twitter Monday.
Obama's remarks were posted by Wojciech Pawelczyk who describes himself in his Twitter bio as a "video researcher and Trump supporter for Poland." Pawelczyk also says he is a video editor for War Room, the podcast headed by Steve Bannon. Bannon, who briefly served as chief strategist for President Donald Trump, was also formerly the head of the alt-right website Breitbart News.
"Michelle Obama: Harvey Weinstein is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse (November 8, 2013)," tweeted Pawelczyk.
The video was culled from Obama's remarks from the first White House Careers in Film Symposium which featured guests such as Whoopi Goldberg, Gayle King and Blake Lively.
"I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day," Obama said to attendees. "This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse. The fact that he and his team took the time to make this happen to all of you should say something not about at me or about this place, but about you. Everybody here, here because of you."
Newsweek reached out to Obama for comment but did not receive a response in time for publication.
Former film producer Weinstein was found guilty Monday in New York of two counts of sexual assault. Weinstein could receive a maximum of 29 years in prison for his crimes when sentencing occurs in March.
Allegations of sexual impropriety began surfacing in 2017 when allegations against Weinstein from actresses Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd were published in The New York Times. After the allegations were made public, over 80 women accused Weinstein of sexual impropriety or assault.
In a 2017 joint statement, Barack and Michelle Obama said they were "disgusted" by reports about Weinstein's sexual misconduct.
"Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein," the statement said. "Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status."
Weinstein had been a contributor to Democrats including Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State John Kerry and Barack Obama. Malia, Obama's daughter, interned at Weinstein's film production company in 2017.
Actress Annabella Sciorra, who had testified against Weinstein regarding charges he was acquitted of, said in a statement that she and other women "can never regret" being vocal in their claims.
"I spoke for myself and with the strength of the 80-plus victims of Harvey Weinstein in my heart," Sciorra said in a statement Monday. "While we hope for continued righteous outcomes that bring absolute justice, we can never regret breaking the silence. For in speaking truth to power we pave the way for a more just culture, free of the scourge of violence against women."

An intensive 6-year investigation has revealed the identity of the man whose Social Security Number (SSN) is being used by President Obama.
Jean Paul Ludwig, who was born in France in 1890, immigrated to the United States in 1924, and was assigned SSN 042-68-4425 (President Obama's current SSN) rec'd on or about March 1977.
Mr. Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut. Because of that, his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents.
Barack H. Obama never lived or worked in that state! Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!
Now comes the best part! J. P. Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii, where he died.
Conveniently, Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased individuals.
The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig's death, and because he never received Social Security benefits there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions were ever raised.
The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. Citizen, either because he was born in Kenya, or became a citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro, simply scoured the probate records, until she found someone, who died who was not receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr. Ludwig’ s Connecticut SSN for her grandson, Barry Obama.
Just wait until the head Birther himself, Donald Trump, gets past the birth certificate and onto the issue of Barry O's use of a stolen SSN. You will see leftist heads exploding, because they will have no way of Defending Obama.

Houthis have claimed to target U.S. aircraft carrier Eisenhower for the second time in 24 hours in the Red Sea. The Yemeni rebels claimed they attacked the U.S. carrier with missiles and drones. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree also said that the militant group also targeted a U.S. destroyer. U.S. Centcom later said that its destroyer Gravely was targeted by the Houthis.

Princess Kate has announced she will attend Trooping the Colour this weekend - but what exactly is the event?

The Princess of Wales will make her her first public appearance at a royal engagement since her cancer diagnosis was announced in March.
Kate, who has taken time away from royal engagements, will be there along with thousands of people for King Charles' Birthday Parade.

In a new statement, she said: "I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."

Trooping the Colour takes place annually in London and is one of the most recognisable ceremonial events in the British Royal calendar.

It features an impressive display of pomp and pageantry, with thousands of troops parading down London's iconic Mall.

Trooping the Colour marks the official birthday of the British monarch. It dates back centuries and became an annual event from 1760.

The event is traditionally held on a Saturday in June, but the date is not fixed.

From 1979 to 2017 it was always held on the Saturday from June 11 to 17; however, in 2018 it was held on June 9 and in 2019 on June 8. This year it is scheduled for June 15.

King Charles's birthday is not on that date however, as he was born on November 14, but monarchs typically have two birthdays, with one marked by Trooping the Colour.

The Royal Family comes out in full force for the occasion, parading in carriages and on horseback before stepping out on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF Flypast.

Trooping the Colour is one of the biggest military ceremonies of the year, featuring around 1,600 parading soldiers, 400 musicians and more than 200 horses.

Each year a different regimental colour (flag) is trooped and members of the five Foot Guards regiments take it in turns to lead the parade.

This year the Irish Guards will have the honour of trooping the colour.

Members of the Royal Family appear either on horseback or in elaborate carriages.

The King and Queen will then lead members of the Royal Family out onto the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch the RAF Flypast and wave to the crowds gathered below.

Thousands of people are expected to head to the Mall to catch a glimpse of the parade as it moves from Buckingham Palace to Horse Guard's Parade.
A 41-gun salute is also fired in Green Park to mark the occasion.

Food intolerance to citric acid, or the components of its production, can trigger such symptoms as: stomach pain, reactions in the mouth, headaches, diarrhea, vomiting, cramping, hives, dark circles under the eye and/or blotchy skin.

Nevertheless, most people are not allergic to citric acid, and have no identifiable negative effects from eating it. But it does serve as a poignant reminder that what we eat comes from food products – constructed as if from tinker toys, with multiple, highly processed ingredients that virtually no one would recognize and few know anything about.

Otto Von Bismarck famously quipped back in the 1800s that “Laws are like sausages, it is better not to see them being made.” But today there is an endless array of foods that would baffle or disgust consumers if they saw them made. Industrial food processes have rendered entire grocery stores filled with food products whose ingredients would be even less recognizable than the contents of sausage.

Now...back to Shillary...I was listening to Bill O'Reilly today, and amazingly, he was holding Shillary's feet to the fire over her commentary; in fact, he took it a step further and played a news clip I've not heard elsewhere. He had played a clip from Ray Larson, Grand Dragon of the KKK, where he practically guarantees that a "Southerner" will assassinate Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, should he gain the nomination.

Considering how there was a "security lapse" during one of his campaign rallies, where agents were instructed to "stop their search for guns" should be cause for concern...
