The claim, which has been spread by Republicans on social media over the past few days and labelled as racist by critics, was immediately fact-checked and shut down by moderators as false. Police also previously released a statement saying: "There have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community."

Of course, as soon as Trump made the comment, X/Twitter went absolutely wild.

⁣Upcoming 10-Part Series ‘Rise of the Raven’ to Tell Story of Legendary Hungarian Commander János Hunyadi

The first image for the upcoming epic miniseries Rise of the Raven has been released. Dubbed “one of the most epic European TV productions of all time” and based on a series of novels, the show, about the life of János Hunyadi, is in the advanced editing stage and is being financed by Beta Film GmbH and the National Film Institute of Hungary.

Rise of the Raven has a multimillion-euro production value. As aforementioned, it tells the story of János Hunyadi, also known as John Hunyadi, a Hungarian military commander and governor who lived between 1406-56. It stars Gellért L. Kadar as the famed leader and Vivien Rujder as Elizabeth, his life partner, with Robert Dornhelm, Attila Szasz and Orsi Nagypal directing.

Others slated to appear in the 10-episode series include Giancarlo Giannini, Cornelius Obonya, Laurence Rupp, Karl Roden, Rade Serbedzija, Elena Rusconi, Murathan Muslu, Francesco Acquaroli and Thomas Trabacchi.

Born into a noble family, Hunyadi’s early life was “plagued by scandal, political power plays and conspiracies between noble families from Italy, Poland, Austria, Serbia, and Hungary.” He became knowledgeable and skilled in warfare at a young age, becoming one of the best soldiers in southern Hungary. This proved crucial during early skirmishes with the Ottomans, who found it difficult to succeed against Hunyadi’s small force of troops.

Hunyadi’s battlefield prowess led to him being named the military governor of Severin, which continuously suffered attacks by the Ottoman Empire. Before long, he was promoted to the governor of Transylvania and given control of all defensive measures along Hungary’s southern borders. By 1443-44, the commander was involved in the Long Campaign and had grown his military force exponentially.

Among the victories Hunyadi secured during this time were the Battle of Kunovica and the capture of Sofia, Kruševac and Niš. He suffered a defeat at the Battle of Varna, narrowly escaping the enemy forces, and went to serve as a governor of Hungary, doing all he could to restore political, military, social and economic order to the country.

It was his victory during the Siege of Belgrade in 1455-56 that earned him a permanent place in history as the “Man Who Saved Europe.” A new offensive was launched by the Ottomans on the city, which Huyandi opted to take on with a band of mercenaries and untrained peasants who fought with everything they had to push back the assault.

They were successful, but the victory cost the commander his life. He’d caught an illness that had spread through the army during the battle and died a few days later. In honor of Huyandi’s victory, Pope Callixtus III ordered that every European church ring its bells at noon each day, a custom that still exists in some congregations.

Speaking in a news release, Koby Gal-Raday, Beta Film’s Chief Content Officer said, “Rise of the Raven delivers on its promises – a highly entertaining, emotional, and powerful historical saga of exceptional production value. With a strong and unique emphasis on female perspectives, the series offers captivating storylines that are highly relevant to today’s audience. Supported by a stellar creative team and an excellent international cast, we firmly believe in its significant global potential.”

Producer Robert Lantos added in a statement, “T S Eliot once wrote that between the dream and the reality there lies the shadow. Throughout my entire career I have been battling this shadow. Finally, with Rise of the Raven, the shadow has been vanquished. This time, the dream is the reality.”

There’s currently no release date set for Rise of the Raven.

It was a house of secrets and abuse.

In August, Oklahoma City police got a tip that a man had multiple children with his stepdaughter. That report would unravel a family and shake an entire community.

For the first time, and only on KOCO 5, hear from the adult children about life behind closed doors and the hero who would turn him in.

The cul-de-sac in southeastern Oklahoma City looks like any other, but inside the yellow house was a man with a secret. One woman, Doris Cole, would unearth the truth.

"It just took someone paying attention. And believe it or not, he was telling on himself every single day, but no one listened," Cole said.

A family of 11 lived in the yellow house: mom, dad and nine children who were hidden away from the world.

"They never left the house, only with him," a neighbor told KOCO 5 back in August.

The children had never been to school, a doctor's office, or even a movie theater – all to conceal a secret they never knew was wrong: their dad's relationship with their stepsister.

KOCO 5 asked if they knew the younger children were their dad's children, too.

"I already knew about but I didn’t know there was anything wrong with it," the 23-year-old who lived in the home said.

At 12 years old, their oldest sister had her first baby with their dad, according to court documents.

"We just grew up like it was normal to us," the 33-year-old who lived in the home said.

Their oldest sister gave birth to four more inside the home.

"Yeah, I think I was 7 or 8," the 20-year-old who lived in the home said.

KOCO 5 sat down with three of the siblings who wanted to share their story. We asked if they ever questioned why they weren't allowed to leave the house more.

"Dad always said he didn’t want us to get hurt or because he was protecting us from people outside," the 20-year-old said.

That would all change.

"I was looking for someone to paint the ceilings, and he answered the ad," Cole said.

Cole hired the father in 2017 as a contractor. She was opening several businesses at 10th Street and May Avenue.

"They looked really crazy every day. From the clothes they wore, the smell," Cole said.

He started taking two of his teenage daughters to work, and Cole picked up on something she couldn't let go of.

"They couldn’t read. They couldn’t write. The speech was really bad. When I first met her, I thought she had an accent," Cole said.

She would question the family's homeschooling, the father's persistent phone alerts and the van packed full of food and clothing.

"It’s hard because I’m the one who did it, but I’m also the one taking care of them. I’m hoping that anyone who wants to help is a genuine help," Cole said. "They’ve already been lied to and hurt their entire lives. I’m hoping their journey and the people they meet along the way remember that."

At the time of the video, Haliey had been attending the CMA Fest in Nashville and admitted having had a few drinks when the TikTokers approached her. She later clarified that her comment was meant as a joke and she "didn't mean anything by it."

After the video went viral, she left her job at a bed spring factory, and by the end of June, she had secured a merchandise deal with Fathead Threats. Before she knew it, she was singing on stage with country singer Zach Bryan and had sold $65,000 worth of merchandise.

Unfortunately for Haliey, who now boasts 2.6 million Instagram followers, she's become infamous for something else entirely. After a whirlwind six months, Haliey's world came crashing down following the failure of her own cryptocurrency memecoin HAWK.

Memecoins are a type of cryptocurrency that is based on viral memes and pop culture references. Accusations of insider trading have been leveled at her, and she could face criminal charges after some fans claimed they lost their "life savings" on it.

If dodgy dealings are proven, the bigwigs at the Department of Justice (DOJ) might well slap on heavy-duty charges like money laundering or wire fraud.
