⁣Newly-released mobile phone footage shows the moment Israeli soldiers opened fired on a convoy of ambulances in Gaza, killing 15 rescue workers. The video contradicts the Israel Defence Forces account of the incident, in which they claimed the vehicles had been travelling without headlights or emergency flashing lights and appeared to be a threat.

The video, released by the Palestine Red Crescent Society shows the clearly-marked ambulances with headlights and emergency flashing lights switched on. The PRCS said the video was obtained from the phone of a paramedic who was killed in the Israeli attack.

In response to the new video, the IDF told the BBC: "All claims, including the documentation circulating about the incident, will be thoroughly and deeply examined to understand the sequence of events and the handling of the situation".

The video shows the marked vehicles drawing to a halt on the edge of the road, lights still flashing, and at least two emergency workers stepping out wearing reflective clothing. Shooting can then be heard lasting for several minutes as the man filming says prayers.

The footage was found on his phone after his body was recovered from a shallow grave one week after the incident. The bodies of the eight paramedics, six Gaza Civil Defence workers and one United Nations employee were found buried in sand, along with their wrecked vehicles. It took international organisations days to negotiate safe access to the site.

Israel claimed a number of Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants had been killed in the shooting, but has not provided any evidence for that claim or explained the alleged threat to its troops.

Trump is putting his ‘touches’ on the White House with flagpoles, art and an Oval Office overhaul

Earlier Wednesday, Trump took an impromptu stroll outside toward the Pennsylvania Avenue fence with head groundskeeper Dale Haney and other staff members. Asked what he was doing, Trump said he was scoping out a location for a flagpole.

“I really must say the Oval Office has never looked better,” Paul Atkins, the new Securities and Exchange Commission chairman, said Tuesday after his ceremonial swearing-in there. “One could really describe it as glistening, and I’ve heard stories about it. It’s true. It’s the touch of a confident president, leading with optimism towards an American golden age.”

Every president adjusts the office decor to their liking, often with new furniture, rugs, draperies and other items. Some hire decorators. Former President Joe Biden had one of his brothers handle it.

Trump seems to have directed the process himself.

“I’ve done some ‘Trump touches’ to the Oval Office,” he told the championship Ohio State football team when he invited them for a tour after he hosted the players and coaches last week. “It’s a little nicer than it used to be, I think.”

Earlier this month, Trump hung a portrait depicting a moment after last summer’s assassination attempt, thereby bumping the official portrait of former President Barack Obama to another wall in the foyer.

The new painting was donated by Andrew Pollock, who lost his daughter Meadow in the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Another image of Trump now hangs on the ground floor between the official portraits of former first ladies Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.

Revealed in a social media post by first-year Rep. Jimmy Patronis, a Florida Republican, the image of Trump features the red, white and blue of an American flag superimposed over the president’s headshot on a black background.

The White House on Wednesday confirmed that the image is real.

Thus read in part a proclamation issued on 7 December 1917 by the Bolsheviks over the signatures of Lenin and Stalin, addressed to 'All Muslim toilers of Russia and the East.'

The highlighted screenshot is offered to the Tartaria Facebook group as if this CIA document was just discovered by the poster who was "doing some digging." However, this exact paragraph was included in a seminal post on April 17, 2018 (archived here), by @KorbenDallas, an administrator of the stolenhistory.org forums. In this post he drafted the details of this new conspiracy theory -- a coverup that he described:

The official history is hiding a major world power which existed as late as the 19th century. Tartary was a country with its own flag, its own government and its own place on the map. Its territory was huge, but somehow quietly incorporated into Russia, and some other countries. This country you can find on the maps predating the second half of the 19th century.

On October 5, 2020, the Russian Geographical Society published an article, "The Whole Truth About Tartary." Here it explains that Tartaria "is not a specific state, but a kind of mythologized land that has never had precise borders." and finishes by emphasising for the sake of conspiracists:
