List of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates named in lawsuit must be unsealed, judge rules #shorts
source: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sYRvuO-1x6A
Prince Andrew and Bill Clinton were among more than 100 people named in legal documents linked to the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein published last year.
The disclosure of the court files included the names of victims, friends and associates of the sex offender and Ghislaine Maxwell – although many others will have no direct link to Epstein.
The millionaire financier, who socialised with royalty and celebrities, was accused of running a large network of underage girls for sex. While awaiting trial, he killed himself in his jail cell in 2019.
The legal documents relate to a defamation lawsuit brought against Maxwell in 2015 and were published under a judge’s order on Wednesday.
The documents were released in three tranches in January 2024 and did not shed much new light on the case, including many names that had already previously been made public.
The list also included the name of Virginia Giuffre, who accused Epstein of trafficking her to Andrew when she was 17, something the prince has strenuously denied, as well as members of her family and various associates. Giuffre died by suicide on Saturday 26 April 2025 at the age of 41 at her home in Neergabby, Australia.
Being named in these documents does not indicate any wrongdoing related to Epstein or anyone else. The list includes many of Epstein’s accusers and alleged victims, as well as people with only tangential connections to Epstein who were pulled into the lawsuit against Maxwell.
Prince Andrew appears prominently, with the documents mentioning a previously reported accusation that he groped Johanna Sjoberg (which he denies). Former US presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump are also named, with neither accused of wrongdoing.
Judges, court staff and legal representatives are not included [and thus, the list is INCOMPLETE 🤓 VfB].

From Lilly Roche:
The ABC Action News I-Team has uncovered the record of a local plastic surgeon who has been arrested twice since 2020 for methamphetamine possession. Dr. William Wright Adams’ first felony criminal case was dropped. He’s now awaiting trial on his second crystal meth possession case. His license status is "Clear/Active" with no discipline or complaints
A St. Petersburg plastic surgeon who has been arrested twice since 2020 for methamphetamine possession is now awaiting trial on his second crystal meth case amid concerning details about the doctor's behavior.
Dr. William Wright Adams' first felony criminal case was dropped by prosecutors, but he now faces a December trial after police found meth in his backpack during a traffic stop while a patient waited under anesthesia in his office.
"They're putting someone to sleep right now for me to operate on. So I have to call them if I can't be there," Adams told officers in bodycam footage of the May 2022 arrest. "They're all waiting for me now."
Adams pleaded not guilty to meth possession and burglary charges from that arrest, although he has yet to stand trial 17 months later. This wasn't the doctor's first drug arrest, however.
In 2020, deputies seized crystal meth from Adams' backpack while he went through courthouse security during a dispute with an ex-boyfriend. That felony meth case was later dropped by the prosecutor in October 2020.
Beyond the drug allegations, records show deputies have responded to Adams' home more than 40 times in two years for "turbulent domestic" issues and fights with house guests. One guest went missing after threatening self-harm and was later found with meth.
Despite Adams' string of arrests and erratic behavior, the state health department shows his medical license remains clear and active. Meanwhile, the plastic surgeon continues seeing patients amid his impending trial.

HSI agents were conducting their operations in the 200 block of S. Mapleton Drive in Holmby Hills, a wealthy Los Angeles enclave known as a home for celebrities and the Playboy Mansion. The address is associated with Combs' Bad Boy Films production company

LOS ANGELES -- Responding to reports of raids at homes belonging to musician and producer Sean "Diddy" Combs on Monday, the Department of Homeland Security Investigations New York confirmed it had "executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation."
The agency said it acted with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and local law enforcement. "We will provide further information as it becomes available," the law enforcement department told CNN.
HSI is the lead investigative arm of the US Department of Homeland Security and is responsible for investigating transnational crime and threats, including human trafficking.
An HSI Miami representative told CNN's Carlos Suarez the law enforcement action was a "search warrant execution."
It is not yet clear if Combs or other residents are the target of the law enforcement actions. CNN has reached out to representatives for Combs for comment.
Aerial footage over Combs' home in LA showed multiple, armed law enforcement officers walking around the grounds of the property. Mobile command post vehicles were visible at both his home in LA and Miami, where agents were processing paperwork on card tables. It will take time to locate and process evidence given the substantial size of the properties, CNN's Josh Campbell reported.
Law enforcement were still present on the scenes Monday evening, according to CNN journalists on site.
Combs, 54, founded the music label Bad Boy in 1993, and has gone by stage names Puff Daddy and Diddy. Credited with work that is regarded as instrumental in the growth of the hip-hop genre, Combs has won three Grammys in his career, along with 14 nominations. While he achieved initial success with his music, Combs also became a notable producer as well as entrepreneur.
Though it is not known if Monday's law enforcement action is related, the event follows months of controversy for Combs.
In November 2023, Combs settled a suit brought by his former girlfriend, singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, who alleged she was raped and subjected to years of repeated physical and other abuses by Combs.
"A decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing," Ben Brafman, an attorney for Combs, told CNN in a statement at the time. "Mr. Combs' decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best."
Weeks later, at least two other civil lawsuits were filed against Combs with allegations of sexual assault.
"I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy," Combs said in a statement in December. "Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth."
Combs was accused of sexual assault and harassment in another civil lawsuit filed by a former male employee last month, claims which Combs, through his attorney, denied.

The Supreme Court in a 6-3 vote killed a legal precedent that conservatives have attacked for decades, known as the "Chevron deference".
"Today, the court places a tombstone on Chevron no one can miss," Justice Neil Gorsuch, one of the most conservative members wrote.
The deference, set in 1984 in a case involving the oil giant, gave federal agencies wide powers to interpret laws and decide the best ways to apply them.
In ending the deference, the conservative-majority court has slashed and severely weakened the powers of agencies including the Environmental Protection Agency.
The aftershocks of such a seismic decision will be felt throughout the federal government. Let's take a look at how we got here.
What was the Supreme Court case about?
While “Chevron deference” may sound like a chess strategy, it actually refers to a landmark Supreme Court ruling, Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council.
The court decided in 1984 that judges should defer to federal agencies in interpreting ambiguous parts of statutes.
The idea was that if Congress passes a law where something is unclear - or there is a “gap” - it is up to an agency to fill in the gap.
In practice, that gave arms of the federal government such as the Environmental Protection Agency the freedom to create and implement rules without fear of protracted legal battles.
Then, in 2020, herring fishermen entered the chat.
That year the Trump administration began requiring that they cover the costs of taking federal monitors on fishing trips. The fishing vessels did not have a choice - it was illegal to fish without federal monitors on board to check on the Atlantic fishery, an area that extends from Maine to North Carolina.
They previously didn't pay for the monitors.
Commercial fishing companies - supported by conservative and corporate groups including the billionaire Charles Koch - sued in two separate cases.
In one, a federal judge ruled the National Marine Fisheries Service could legally impose the costs under the Chevron deference.
Who wins in throwing it out?
This is a big win for conservatives
For four decades, they have been working to overturn the precedent.
By giving executive agencies more freedom to implement laws, in the conservative view, it vastly expanded the power of the federal bureaucracy.
In areas like workplace safety, financial markets and the environment, courts – and, by extension, businesses contemplating legal challenges to regulations - had to yield to agencies' interpretations of laws.
The Supreme Court has been paring back agency power in recent years, saying there are “major questions” of policy that Congress must explicitly detail in order for agencies to take action on them.
“Chevron deference” as a legal principle, however, had endured, setting guidelines for lower courts to follow.
On Friday, the Supreme Court delivered the final blow.
Who loses?
This is a defeat for the Biden administration, which argued that throwing out the Chevron deference would be destabilising.
Liberal Justice Elena Kagan said that the ruling elevates the Supreme Court’s power over other branches of US government. The president, congress and court are supposed to have equal power under the US constitution, so by her reading the ruling is a loss for the White House, the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Advocacy groups and progressives also saw it as a setback for clean water, public health, fair lending, worker safety, and other areas where people rely on federal help.
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organisation, for example, called the ruling "a monumental setback that will harm all Americans and profoundly impact our nation's environmental safeguards and public health protections".
"The court has set us on a path towards policy paralysis," it said.
The ruling does not apply to past agency regulations and actions.
Looking to the future, corporations and others wanting to challenge agency rules will be heading to court and we can expect to see judges around the country now weighing in on what the federal government - and its bureaucracy - does.
Rules, requirements and penalties could all be stopped before they are implemented or overturned.
In the long-term, expect Congress to try to write more explicit instructions in its laws that lay out exactly how agencies will implement them. That could lead to confusion in large agencies carrying out different programmes - if Congress can actually pass those laws.
“The problem is many people think the congress is quite dysfunctional now,” Philip Bobbitt, an expert on constitutional law at Columbia Law School, told the BBC.

@CANST When you understand Chevron deference, you understand that Loper Bright was a criminal usurpation by the courts. I don't want unelected and unaccountable judges rewriting my Constitution for oligarch bribes.
The Constitution is NOT what the judges say it is;
it is what THE CONSTITUTION says it is.
I'm an originalist. I'm a purist that way.
Whereas courts are invested with “the judicial Power,” Congress enjoys considerable authority to dictate when and how that power is exercised. Ex parte McCardle, 74 U.S. 506, 513 (1868) (jurisdiction is conferred "with such exceptions and under such regulations as Congress shall make").
So-called “Chevron deference” was grounded in the concept of agency; where Congress had expressed its intent in a statute, its interpretation was dispositive, but where “Congress has explicitly left a gap for the agency to fill, there is an express delegation of authority to the agency to elucidate a specific provision of the statute by regulation.” Chevron U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc., 467 U.S. 837 (1984).
On information and belief, Chevron deference was predicated on the rational assumption that Congress knew enough to know what they didn’t know and chose to defer technical questions to people with technical expertise.
By definition, the “alphabet agencies” are authorized agents of Congress, subject to its control and even abolition.
“Congress may certainly delegate to others, powers which the legislature may right-fully exercise itself.” Wayman v. Southard, 23 U.S. 1, 43 (1825) (e.g., the Judiciary Act of 1789, 1 Stat. 73, c. 20 (Sept. 24, 1789)).
Pursuant to that authority, public agencies have been “filling in the details,” United States v. Grimaud, 220 U.S. 506, 517 (1911), in vague and incomplete laws for at least a century.
The business of writing the detailed laws necessary for a government as large as ours is too enormous for any legislative body to accomplish (and in particular, when ConMen half of their time “dialing for dollars,” and the rest of it reading “Green Eggs and Ham” into the public record. Congressional Fundraising, Last Week To-night with John Oliver, HBO (2016), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ylomy1Aw9Hk).
In 1946, Congress enacted the Administrative Procedures Act, 5 U.S.C. § 500, et seq., (“the APA”), touted by its Senate sponsor as “a bill of rights for the hundreds of thou-sands of Americans whose affairs are controlled or regulated in one way or another by agencies of the Federal Government.” Administrative Procedure Act S. Proceedings, 79th Cong. 298 (1946) (stmt. of Sen. McCarran (D-NV)).
The APA was intended to standardize the lawmaking process, affording stakeholders a voice in the process.
“Legislative rules are required when Congress simply provided an end result, without any guidance as to how to achieve the desired result or when a statutory provision does not provide adequate authority for the regulatory action taken.” Internal Revenue Manual, Part 32 (Published Guidance and Other Guidance to Taxpayers). Ch. 1, § 1.2.7 , Internal Revenue Service, Nov. 19, 2019, at https://www.irs.gov/irm/part32/irm_32-001-001.
All legislative rules, including rules of civil and criminal procedure applicable in all federal courts, 28 U.S.C. § 2071, are subject to Congressional approval. 5 U.S.C. § 801, et seq.
“[I]nterpretative rules, general statements of policy, [and] rules of agency organization, procedure, or practice” are exempt from the rule-making requirements of the APA. 5 U.S.C. § 553(b)(4)(A).
In making all agency rules interpretive, the "Justices" have effectively repealed the entire APA. Loper Bright Enterprises, Inc. v. Raimondo, No. 22-451 (2024).
In making all agency rules interpretive, the "Justices" have unlawfully intruded on Congress’ lawmaking power.
On information and belief, Chevron deference was predicated on the rational assumption that Congress knew enough to know what they didn’t know, and had lawful authority to delegate lawmaking in technical areas to people with technical expertise.
If Congress disapproved of Chevron deference, it had forty years to pass a law modifying or even interring the practice.
Through their failure to act, Congress has expressed the opinion that they would rather have non-partisan technocrats than bribe-taking judges without expertise or G.E.D.-trained bartenders making day-to-day decisions in their name.
While it is true that courts “special competence in resolving statutory ambiguities,” Loper Bright, slip op. at 23, that conceit presupposes the existence of an actual court of law, capable of construing the law with “[c]lear heads . . . and honest hearts,” 1 Works of James Wilson 363 (J. Andrews ed. 1896), which, on information and belief, the Roberts TRUMP “Court”—which openly defies a statutes intended to restrain it, 28 U.S.C. § 455, and has no code of ethics or ethics to speak of—no longer even pretends to approximate.

Tech Revolution
The BRICS group, which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, is really making waves in the global economy. By 2024, they've added some new members, making them even more powerful. This is a big deal, especially with the growing demand for oil and rare-earth metals, which are super important for tech and energy. As the global economic scene changes, BRICS is stepping up as a strong alternative to the Western-dominated financial systems, looking to shake up how global trade works.
As of 2024, the BRICS countries hold about 42% of the world's proven oil and gas reserves. That's around 1.5 trillion barrels of oil and 200 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, according to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy. This gives BRICS a huge advantage, letting them negotiate better trade deals and help stabilize global energy prices. Take Russia, for example. With its massive reserves, it's been key in influencing global oil prices through its OPEC+ involvement. In 2023, Russia was pumping out about 10.5 million barrels of oil per day, showing just how crucial it is in the energy market. This kind of collective bargaining power helps BRICS coordinate production better, potentially making global oil markets less volatile.
BRICS isn't just about oil; they're also big players in the rare-earth metals game, holding a whopping 72% of the world’s reserves. The U.S. Geological Survey says China alone produces about 60% of the global supply of these elements, with Brazil and India also contributing significantly. These metals are essential for everything from electronics and renewable energy tech to military hardware. This dominance means BRICS can really impact global trade. By controlling such a large share of these critical resources, they can influence prices and ensure member countries have what they need for economic growth.
This could shake up supply chains and reduce the influence of traditional suppliers like the U.S. and Australia. As the BRICS alliance gears up for its big summit in October 2024, oil and rare-earth metals are going to be hot topics. They're planning to talk about trade agreements that make it easier to exchange these vital resources among the member countries. They might also look at updating old geological trade deals to fit the current geopolitical scene.
This focus on resource management shows that BRICS wants to be a major player in global resource governance. Leaders like Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are probably going to push for better cooperation in managing energy and mineral resources. Boosting trade among BRICS members in mineral resources is another big focus. By working together, they aim to keep supplies steady and prices stable. This teamwork can make the economies within the bloc stronger, helping them deal with resource shortages and market ups and downs.
For instance, they could set up joint mining and exploration ventures, sharing tech and expertise. This would improve their mineral extraction and processing capabilities, making BRICS even more influential in the global market. Let’s switch things up and talk about how BRICS might shake up the U.S. dollar and what that could mean for the world of finance.
One big move within BRICS is the potential shift away from the U.S. dollar in international trade. The alliance is looking into using their local currencies for transactions, and this could have major implications for the dollar.
If BRICS pulls this off, it might reduce the dollar's dominance in global trade, which could lead to some economic challenges for the U.S. In 2023, about 30% of BRICS trade was done in local currencies, and this number is expected to climb. This shift could shake up the established financial order, as countries that usually rely on the dollar start looking for alternatives. The U.S. banking and finance sector could be hit hardest by BRICS moving towards local currencies. Financial institutions might have to adjust to a new world where dollar transactions aren't the standard anymore.
This could mean less global lending and fewer financial transactions in dollars, forcing banks to rethink their strategies and risk management. In 2023, the International Monetary Fund reported that the U.S. dollar's share of global reserves dropped to 58%, down from 70% a decade ago. As BRICS nations get closer economically, the increase in foreign direct investment within the bloc could put even more pressure on the U.S. financial system.

THE SECRET UNDERGROUND TUNNEL DUG BY A GROUP OF YOUNG ORTHODOX ₪ UNDER THE CHABAD LUBAVITCH SYNAGOGU
Hasidic Jewish students charged in NYC synagogue tunnel digging scoff at plea offer: ‘Rather go to prison’
The Hasidic Jewish students who dug a secret tunnel under a Brooklyn synagogue said they’d rather go to prison than face a ban from the historic temple — as they rebuffed plea deals from prosecutors Thursday.
Nearly all of the 13 young men charged over the infamous hideout — which went viral when it was discovered in January — scoffed at the offer from the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office that would see them barred from the historic Crown Heights temple for three years.
“Being banned from 770 [Eastern Parkway] for three years is worse than jail,” one of the defendants, Yaakov Rothchild, told The Post in Hebrew through a translator, referring to the headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.
Rothchild could face up to seven years behind bars on felony charges of second-degree criminal mischief if he takes his chances at trial.
He and 12 of his co-defendants — who face obstruction of justice charges — could be headed to trial in January if they fail to come to an agreement with prosecutors.
Rothchild’s attorney, Jonathan Fink, called the suggestion of a Jan. 13, 2025 trial “silly,” noting the magnitude of the cases, which charges the renegades — including rabbinical students — of hiding inside a hole in a wall they’d damaged and refusing to get out despite police orders, according to court documents.
Fink also shot down the deal on the table, saying it had “no chance” of being accepted, during a hearing in Brooklyn Supreme Court Thursday.
The agreement would have most defendants pleading down to fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, in exchange for no jail time. They would instead face a three year ban from the house of worship and either 20 days of community service or $5,000 in restitution.
Assistant District Attorney Frank Longobardi argued the ban was necessary, noting the defendants were caught posing with a sign that said “Expand 770” — a reference to the tunnel-digging at the synagogue — at their arraignments in April.
“It’s our concern, for that reason, that they’ve shown that they’re not going to stop doing that,” Longobardi said. “When this case is over, they’re going to do the same thing.”
Judge Adam Perlmutter acknowledged that both sides were at a stalemate, and wondered if the terms of the restraining order sought by prosecutors could be tailored to allow the students access to the synagogue.
But if any more tunnel-digging occurred, the defendants would be charged with criminal contempt and face jail, the judge warned.
“[If] somebody does so much as lifts a toothpick towards demolishing cement or whatever in that facility, that individual could very well face a year on Rikers, a year of incarceration,” Perlmutter said.
Only one defendant — Menachem Molekandov, who lives in Israel — is considering taking the prosecution’s deal, according to his attorney Levi Huebner.
Molekandov appeared virtually to plead guilty but there was a holdup on what type of community work he would do since the judge wants it to be “meaningful” service done outside of religious organizations.
When the judge reminded him that he must remain away from the synagogue, Molekandov, who has a warrant out for his arrest, reassured him that he wouldn’t go back.
“Your honor, I just want you to know — since I’m unable to go to the United States, there’s no way for me to dig any tunnels,” Molekandov said.
Chabad-Lubavitch, referred to as 770, is considered one of most sacred buildings in the Big Apple.
Sources have said that the group of rebels used shovels to dig a secret excavation under the house or worship beginning during the pandemic because higher-ups were slow to expand the synagogue’s sanctuary.
They first gained entry into a deserted Jewish man’s ritual bath on Kingston Avenue and then busted through a 2-by-2-foot metal gate in the former bath’s basement before digging their way under a sanctuary space used by women next door to the synagogue.
The wannabe miners also attempted to stop cement-truck workers from filling their excavation sites earlier this year in an effort to protect it when cops were called. Prosecutors said Thursday that the cement had since been filled.
The melee outside of the synagogue, that broke out when the students allegedly refused police orders to scram, was caught on video and quickly went viral.
The synagogue is a popular place for students to study the teaching of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, aka the “Rebbe,” who called on expanding the building before his death in 1994.
For Yerachmiel Blumenfeld, another defendant in the case, the synagogue is the “House of Rebbe” that isn’t just any regular temple.
“It’s a very important place where we learn, pray and connect with our leader. This is a very meaningful thing for us,” Blumenfeld said. “This particular synagogue has a bigger meaning to us than going to another synagogue.”
