About a week ago, I took a phone call from someone concerned about their retirement. The co-worker that transferred the call explained to me that the person waiting to speak to me was at one time John Smith (of course not the actual name), but he had gender reassignment surgery and is now Lisa Smith (also not the actual name) and I should address this man...uh woman as Lisa.

Needless to say it was a rather weird experience for this white bread, Bible belt, corn-fed Cracker.

I try to be nice to everyone and not let differences bother me. But wow! To think someone would undergo extensive surgery to have their thingie removed., because they don't like being a man or a woman.


What do they call the surgery? A lopitophome?



I recently heard someone talking about Sonny and Cher's daughter/son Chastity, who is now known as Chas. They said the surgical procedure she underwent was called an Addadictome. Lisa had his removed.


Was it worth the expense and pain? What drives a person to desire to become an imitation of the opposite sex?



This phenomena is nothing new. As a teen, I had to ride the public bus to school. Every morning this strange little person would get on the bus. My friends asked their parents if this was a man or a woman. They were told it was a he-she. Every day the he-she wore the same garb; a plaid wool skirt that resembled a kilt, knee high socks with men's oxford shoes, a sports jacket and a type of beret called a tam-o-shanter. If I didn't have to get off at school, I would have loved to follow the he-she to work to see which restroom was put to use.


I don't know if this is a glandular thing or what. It must be hell going through life, wishing you were something you are not. Be thankful for who and what you are.


I wonder when a person who had transgender surgery gets to be sixty and their hormones settle down, do they regret their decision?

YouTuber and right-wing culture warrior Steven Crowder has ignited an ugly civil war within the conservative entertainment complex, lashing out at a lucrative contract offer he received from The Daily Wire, a conservative media company founded by Ben Shapiro.

The feud was sparked after Crowder ranted about the contract offer during an episode of his show, Louder With Crowder; while Crowder didn’t specifically name the outlet the offer was from, he used strong language to push back against the deal, stating:
"Big Tech is in bed with Big Con. The people you thought, the people I thought, were fighting for you, a lot of it has been a big con."

Crowder went on to claim that if YouTube were to demonetize his channel, he would suffer a financial penalty, his payments cut until his channel was monetized again. This is a concern for Crowder, who is a famously provocative “edgelord,” and regularly crosses the line into homophobia, anti-semitism, racism, and misogyny, which often results in YouTube demonetizing his content on the platform.

"If any of the major platforms issues a content strike such that Crowder cannot be monetized on such a platform, the fee will be reduced by 25 percent," Crowder read aloud from the contract.

Crowder’s point was that conservative media was bowing to the “censorship” demands of “Big Tech,” a frequently discussed topic within the right-wing media sphere. Crowder went on to dismiss the deal as a “slave contract.”

A day after Crowder’s rant, The Daily Wire’s chief executive Jeremy Boreing released an hour-long response video (following the tradition of all gossipy YouTube feuds), delving into the details of the contract offer.

CROIX — A bizarre video showing the husband of Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett, Jonathan Buckney-Small, who was being recorded by the congresswoman, naked, wearing eye shadow and lipstick, has leaked online; forcing Ms. Plaskett, a first-term delegate to Congress, to issue a press release condemning the leak of what she described as a “private playful video,” and assailed the perpetrators for what she deemed “a new low in Virgin Islands politics.”

Nude photos of the congresswoman were also leaked, appearing briefly on a fake Facebook page, which has since been taken down — but not before the photos as well as the video — were shared multiple times, and have now saturated local internet circles, especially social media platforms, Facebook Messenger and other popular messaging and video apps.
In one image, the congresswoman is seen taking a selfie without a shirt or bra on.

“The theft and distribution of these personal images via the internet marks a new low in Virgin Islands politics. I am shocked and deeply saddened that someone would stoop to such a level as to invade my marriage and the love of my family in an attempt to besmirch me politically,” Ms. Plaskett said.

“Private photographs shared between my husband and me, as well as a private playful video of our family, including one of our children, were illegally obtained and disseminated via the internet. To say my family and I are greatly upset would be a tremendous understatement. As a mother I am outraged that one of my children was exploited in such a way. The theft and dissemination of these images via the internet is a shockingly disgusting invasion of my family’s and my privacy – not to mention criminal acts in violation of both territorial and federal law,” she added.

But the video that Ms. Plaskett described as playful, includes what appears to be a rather disturbing twist. The congresswoman can be heard talking while recording her husband with a cellphone. He appears to be fully naked, and is wearing lipstick and eye shadow. Then, he says something to one of their children — appearing to be between 5-7 years old — who then appears behind her seemingly naked father.

⁣During the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting on Saturday in Omaha, Peter Flaherty had his microphone cut, was arrested, and forcibly removed from the arena.
Flaherty is the Chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), which was the sponsor of Proposal #8 to “require hereafter that two separate people hold the office of the Chairman and the office of the CEO.”

In support of this resolution for an independent chair, Flaherty attempted to assert that Berkshire “would be less identified with Mr. Buffett’s personal political activities,” and cited Berkshire Chairman/CEO Warren Buffett’s support for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, among other factors.
Resolution proponents were allowed three minutes each to speak in support of their proposals. Three other proponents spoke before Flaherty without interruption, including Michael Frerichs, Treasurer of Illinois.
Video of the event shows that at 1:08 into his remarks, Flaherty was approached and interrupted at the microphone. It was by Cathy Woollums, a Berkshire official who was a designated liaison with proponents for the meeting. Not audible through the sound system, Woollums told Flaherty that he should stay “on topic.”
Flaherty stated into the microphone, “You are not going to censor what I say, ma’am. I’m very sorry. And I appeal to the Chair (occupied by Buffett) that I be allowed to continue. Sir?”
Buffett stated, “You may continue but under the three-minute limitation.” Flaherty replied, “Of course,” and resumed speaking at the 1:28 mark until the 2:04 mark when his mike went dead.
At the 1:55 mark Buffett attempted to start talking over Flaherty and appeared to give direction to other persons in the hall. This portion of Flaherty’s remarks concerned Bill Gates’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.
Immediately, two representatives of Clark International Security approached and stood in front of Flaherty. He was told to leave or he would be arrested. Flaherty replied that he would leave when he finished his statement. At this point, Flaherty was not fully aware that his mic had been cut, was still under the three-minute limitation, and had already received a favorable ruling from the chair.
One of the Clark representatives summoned a uniformed Omaha policeman who was nearby and requested that he arrest Flaherty. He grabbed Flaherty by the arm, advised him that he was under arrest, and led him from the arena. Flaherty was transported by Omaha police to the Douglas County Corrections Center where he was searched, handcuffed, and charged with criminal trespass.

NLPC filed a similar proposal for an independent chair last year at Berkshire when Flaherty spoke in support of the resolution without incident. The proposal received support from diverse shareholders including the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS).
NLPC sponsors the Corporate Integrity Project and has engaged in shareholder activism since 2004. In 2023, NLPC is the proponent of proposals at 26 companies on a variety of topics.
NLPC-filed proposals for an independent chair were also considered, or will be considered, this year at Bank of America, Coca-Cola, Goldman Sachs, Home Depot, Mondelez, PepsiCo, Salesforce, and Visa.
Since 2004, Flaherty has spoken at the annual meetings of dozens of companies including Alphabet, Amazon, Bank of America, Boeing, Citigroup, Coca-Cola, Colgate-Palmolive, Goldman Sachs, Merck, Facebook (now Meta), PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble and Walmart. In connection to NLPC proposals, he has met with many corporate executives over the years, including then-PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi and then-GE CEO Jeff Immelt.

This is another post I never wanted to write. Yesterday the world lost one of the best men I have ever known and loved. Chris Takacs passed away in his sleep early Friday morning.
He was truly the most kind, generous, loving, selfless, compassionate person. He cared deeply for all people and animals alike. He was excited to teach people about being Vegan for the animals, the earth , and our health as well.
I was lucky enough to meet him and love him! He was never anything but nice to me. We had so many fun adventures hiking, going to concerts, going to the beach , festivals, movies—to name a few.
He was my rock , my emotional support, a shoulder to cry on as he was helping through the tragedy of the loss of Annabel from domestic violence. He was there for all the great times and the sad ones too.
The world is going to be a different place without him.
Please be kind to every kind 💚

Instead, the law applies only to feticide, the act of killing a fetus, usually by “assaulting and battering the mother,” according to the ruling.

“A physician who performs a consensual medical abortion commits a crime only ‘after the fetus or unborn child reaches viability,’” continued Schlipper, who previously questioned whether the 174-year-old law applies to the procedure.

Schlipper’s ruling shooting down the purported ban came in an order rejecting a defendant’s motion to dismiss Democrats’ case seeking to clarify whether the 1849 feticide law, 940.04, applies to abortions.

It doesn’t appear that abortion access will be immediately restored, but Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin said they were evaluating their options “in providing abortion care as soon as we can.”

Diane Welsh, who represents the physicians who joined as plaintiffs in the case, said her clients will “now move promptly to obtain a declaratory judgment to ensure that physicians can provide health care that Wisconsin patients need.”

“I hope this ruling makes clear that no Wisconsin prosecutor should be contemplating any prosecution for abortion under 940.04,” she continued.

Heather Weininger, executive director of the anti-abortion group Wisconsin Right to Life, called the ruling “a devastating setback in our ongoing fight to protect Wisconsin’s preborn children.”

After an earlier visit to the occupied West Bank, Blinken landed in Baghdad on Sunday evening for his first visit to the country as the U.S. top diplomat and held talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed al-Sudani.

Washington wants to prevent a wider regional conflict and has stepped up diplomacy with regional countries whose populations have been angered by Israel's assault on Gaza.

Blinken landed at Baghdad’s international airport, donned a ballistic vest and traveled by Black Hawk helicopter to the Green Zone, a remnant of the U.S. occupation of Iraq after its 2003 invasion. At the U.S. ambassador’s residence he was briefed on threats to U.S. facilities, before heading to the prime minister’s office.

He will travel to Turkey later on Sunday, where protests were already underway.

Iran-backed group Kataib Hezbollah issued a warning on Saturday night that the expected Blinken visit would be met with "an unprecedented escalation."

U.S. defense officials say rocket and drone attacks on U.S. and coalition troops have stepped up in Iraq and Syria since Hamas' deadly attacks on Oct. 7 sparked an intensive Israeli military campaign in Gaza.

Iraqi armed groups aligned with Iran have threatened to target U.S. interests with missiles and drones if Washington intervened to support Israel against Hamas in Gaza.

"It was very important to send a very clear message to anyone who might seek to take advantage of the conflict in Gaza to threaten our personnel here or anywhere else in the region: Don’t do it," Blinken told reporters after meeting al-Sudani.

Al-Sudani has pledged to pursue the perpetrators of rocket attacks on three military bases in Iraq hosting international coalition advisers, including Ain al-Asad in western Iraq, a military base near Baghdad's international airport and Harir in the northern Iraqi city of Erbil.

Lebanon-based Hezbollah, which like Hamas is backed by U.S. adversary Iran, has launched strikes on northern Israel.

Hezbollah's leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah issued a warning on Friday, as Blinken arrived in the region, that preventing a regional conflict depended on stopping the Israeli attack on Gaza, and said there was a possibility of fighting on the Lebanese front turning into a full-fledged war.
