An off-duty Israeli reservist was wounded Sunday morning after after he removed a Palestinian flag from the side of the road, which then exploded, according to Israeli media.

The incident, which took place near an Israeli settlement northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, was captured on video.

The man was lightly wounded, Israeli media reported.

What is a chemtrail?

According to Wikipedia (which is not a bad place to start, rather than finish, your research):

'The chemtrail conspiracy theory posits that some trails left by aircraft are chemical or biological agents deliberately sprayed in the sky for purposes undisclosed to the general public and directed by various government officials. This theory has been refuted by the scientific community: such trails are simply normal contrails (condensation trails).'

Condensation trails – or contrails – form behind jets flying above 25,000 feet and are created by a combination of the hot air generated by the aircraft engines and the hydrocarbon by-products of jetfuel consumption. Dependent on meteorological and atmospheric conditions – particularly wind speed and humidity – contrails generally last from a few seconds to a few minutes, but can also last a lot longer in the right conditions.

For a counterpoint, let’s see what the good folks over at Collective Evolution have to say:

'Geoengineering is not a conspiracy, it’s the deliberate and large-sacle [sic] intervention in the Earth’s climatic system. Simply put, it is the spraying of chemicals into the air via planes into the atmosphere. Independent testing over the past decade confirms that Chemtrails around the country contain a dangerous and extremely poisonous mix of chemicals that includes: barium, nano aluminum-coated fiberglass [known as CHAFF], radioactive thorium, cadmium, chromium, nickel, desiccated blood, mold spores, yellow fungal mycotoxins, ethylene dibromide, and polymer fibers.'

Persistent condensation trails were not observed before 1998! (Really? That’s their best evidence? Unless someone was keeping records, this is a good example of confirmation bias.)

People get sick after chemtrail spraying! (But not at other times, I’m sure. Confirmation bias again.)

Chemical analysis has shown the presence of unexpected chemicals in rainwater. (Unexpected by whom? Someone hunting for anomalies?)
Hmmm... I’m not sure we have the same definition of the word evidence. Moving on…

But former USAF environmental specialist Kristen Meghan blew the whistle!

Final thoughts

The size of the conspiracy necessary to cover up chemtrails makes them highly improbable.

Literally hundreds of thousands of aircraft engineers, maintenance workers and on-ground staff around the world would have to be involved in the cover-up — none of whom have ever come forward with a solid piece of photographic or scientific evidence.

While it is certain the practice of aerial chemical dispersal does exist, it is done from low altitude to control pests and is popularly known as cropdusting.

LAKE WORTH, Fla. – New details have been released regarding a controversial and violent arrest caught on video in Palm Beach County.

Body camera video shows what led officers to a rough and bloody encounter that occurred earlier this year.

The violent takedown of Christopher Connelly, which has now been seen by tens of thousands on social media, is now being challenged in court.

The rough arrest happened back in February.

What led up to the arrest is being shown in the newly released body camera footage.

It shows Palm Beach County deputies responding to a call about a man refusing to leave a property in Lake Worth and causing a disturbance.

Officers said the man, identified as Connelly, was apparently under the influence.

They’re heard giving him multiple verbal commands, but Connelly refused to follow them.

Moments later, he made a run towards the property.

Witnesses recorded as deputies forced him down and struck him repeatedly.

Connelly is now being represented by attorney Pat Wilson.

“There will be a lot of people who see this video and say, ‘Hey, he had plenty of chances to leave and he didn’t.’ How do you respond to that?” asked Local 10 News’ Christian De La Rosa.

“Even if an officer tells someone to leave and they don’t, or tells them to leave and they run away, it doesn’t mean you get to beat them up and repeatedly hit him in the head,” Wilson responded.

Connelly was initially charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence, but since the release of the cellphone video, Wilson said the charge has been reduced to simple battery.

Local 10 News reached out the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for comment but have not received a response at the time of this story’s publishing

Apologies if this is not a question for this sub. For (hopefully relevant) context, an acquaintance of mine posts content that is largely anti-establishment and pandemic-sceptic. Recently they reposted a meme based on the 'Daddy, what did you do in the war' propaganda poster from WWI. The meme goes:

THE LEGEND OF THE ASTRONOMICAL Clock in the Old Town of Prague seems to have come straight from the Brothers Grimm. The dark tale is set in the fifteenth century, when the clock is said to have been created by the great clockmaker Mikuláš from Kadaň. Such was the reputation of his craftsmanship that Mikuláš was approached by many a foreign nation, each wishing to have its own town square topped with a marvelous astronomical clock. Mikuláš refused to show the plans of his masterpiece to anyone, but word got back to the Prague Councilors.

Overcome with fear that Mikuláš might build a bigger, better, and more beautiful clock for another nation, the Councilors had the brilliant clockmaker blinded, ensuring that their clock would never be topped. Driven mad, the clockmaker took the ultimate revenge, throwing himself into his extraordinary work of art, gumming up the clock’s gears and ending his own life in one stroke. In doing so, he cursed the clock. All who tried to fix it would either go insane, or die.

While this is only a legend, it stands as a testament to the extraordinary nature of the Prague Astronomical Clock. The clock has been modified, destroyed, and repaired many times since its creation in 1380. It is perhaps the most well-known astronomical clock in the world, with four moving automatons (including a skeleton ringing his death knell for each hour), and rotating statues of the 12 apostles. It displays Babylonian time, Old Bohemian time, German time, and Sidereal time. It also shows the moon’s phases and the sun’s journey through the constellations of the zodiac. The calendar dial, just below the clock, shows the day of the month, the day of the week, feast days and allegorical pictures of the current month and sign of the zodiac.

Though the legend of Mikuláš is apocryphal, Prague is not without a dark history - the cobblestones of the Old Town Square below the clock are marked with 27 crosses commemorating 27 beheaded Czech noblemen. Be sure to go upstairs for a tour of the interior of the fascinating clock.

In Czechia, the Prague Astronomical Clock is known simply as the Orloj, from the Latin word horologium.

As the saying goes, imitation is the highest form of flattery. When it was created, the Prague Astronomical Clock was an outstanding technological achievement. In modern times, Koreans fascinated by the Orloj built a working replica of the clock and the tower of the Old Town Hall. Their building in Seoul is called Castle Praha Hongdae.

Update January 2019: After nine months of restoration—the most extensive since the 1940s—the clock has been returned to its former glory and is back on view.
