Summary

27 different pesticides were found in fast food samples.
76% of fast food brands (61% of the total 42 samples) contained at least trace of these 27 harmful pesticides.
Several fast foods contained as many as 7, 8 or 9 different pesticides.
The highest levels were found in Domino’s and Pizza Hut pizza ( pizza with vegetables had the highest amounts).
Even the “healthier” fast food companies, Panera Bread, In-N-Out and Chipotle all had either trace or detectable and concerning levels of pesticides.
The immediate side effects from these pesticides in animal studies include symptoms such as loss of balance, irritable behavior, gut dysbiosis, metabolic disorders, coma and death. Long-term effects include a wide range of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer and mood/emotional disruption.

The top twenty fast food brands (plus In-N-Out), were tested for 236 pesticides in addition to glyphosate herbicide. Twenty-seven pesticides were detected in 28 samples. In other words, 61% of the 42 fast food samples were positive for trace or quantifiable amounts of harmful pesticides. As many as nine different pesticides were found in several of the samples. Some of the side effects from these pesticides include lower appetite, unsteady balance, watery eyes, irritable behavior, coma, and death (at high doses, long term, in animals), gut microbiota dysbiosis and metabolic disorders.

Gut dysbiosis and metabolic disorders can lead to autoimmune issues, weakened immune systems, disturbed sleep, mood, behavior, learning, and organ function.

Roomba robot vacuums captured sensitive pictures that were later leaked on social media — including one of a woman sitting on the toilet — but the maker of the machines says they were taken by test models, not consumer units, MIT Tech Review first reported.

iRobot, which makes Roomba, said the self-driving vacuums were used by "paid data collectors and employees" as test units that would help the company develop its machine-learning capabilities. The disclosure comes as Amazon is working to close a $1.7 billion agreement to buy iRobot, raising questions about how tech companies use and protect the data they hoover up.

Data from these test units was marked by a contractor — noting things like whether the robot successfully made its way around an obstacle, like a coffee table. But images from that data got leaked to Facebook, Discord and other social sites, MIT Tech Review reported and iRobot confirmed to Insider.

The images included woman in a purple shirt, face blurred, sitting on the toilet, the Tech Review reported, and a child laying on his stomach as he stares at the object recording him.

The images were leaked by paid Venezuelan contractors at data startup Scale AI who posted them to private groups on Facebook, Discord, and other platforms in 2020, MIT Tech Review reported.

Even though the images did not come from Roomba customers, consumers often opt into getting their data monitored once they purchase "smart" devices as part of company privacy policies. Smart-device makers sometimes analyze the data, which can sometimes include personal or sensitive details, to train algorithms to improve their products.

James Baussmann, an iRobot spokesperson, confirmed the photo leak to Insider. When asked for further comment, Baussman referred Insider to a blog post from iRobot chairman and CEO Colin Angle.

⁣A Washington County man is facing multiple charges after investigators say he tried to kidnap a child at a Walmart in Cornelius, Ore., in December.

The alleged incident happened on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at the Walmart Supercenter located in the 200 block of N. Adair St.

Authorities from multiple agencies responded to the store after a 911 caller reported that a man, armed with a knife, had attempted to take her child from their stroller inside the store.

The child’s father stopped the man from grabbing the child, but was injured during the altercation, according to Washington County Sheriff’s investigators. However, during that struggle, authorities say the suspect dropped his knife.

An orangutan at an Australian zoo horrified visitors when it brutally evicted a possum by ”launching” it from the top of its enclosure after the wily pest had invaded its space.

A day after a lone shooter attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania campaign rally, Jack Black sang “Happy Birthday” to his bandmate, Kyle Gass, at the duo’s concert in Australia. The two make up the band Tenacious D.

Black told Gass to “make a wish,” and Gass said, “Don’t miss Trump next time.”

Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot at Trump, hit the former president’s ear with a bullet in what the FBI swiftly deemed an assassination attempt. Crooks was shot and killed by the authorities shortly after. Corey Comperatore, a Pennsylvania man at Trump’s rally, was also shot and killed.

Gass’s remark was called out, used as proof that the condemnation of the shooting coming from Trump’s opponents is hollow.

The video comes from a now-deleted TikTok, which was then shared on X by Greg Price, who works in communications for the State Freedom Caucus Network, a Republican organization.

Price has also written for the Daily Caller, a right-wing news outlet founded by Tucker Carlson.

“Jack Black went on stage with his band over the weekend and his bandmate said ‘don’t miss Trump next time’ to laughs from the audience,” Price tweeted. “A month ago, he was a featured speaker at Biden’s fundraiser in Los Angeles. ‘We must come together’ indeed.”

As referenced by Price, Black spoke at a June fundraiser for President Joe Biden’s campaign. In his speech, he said, “When democracy is at stake, Jack Black answers the call.”

Biden’s glitzy Hollywood fundraiser brought in tens of millions in contributions but also may have set the stage for recent backlash against his candidacy.

Price’s reference to “we must come together” seems to be about remarks Biden has made in the aftermath of the assassination attempt: On Saturday night, Biden said “Everybody must condemn” the violence, and last night he said Americans should be “standing together.”

Many responses to Price’s tweet expressed that Gass was out of line and trying to “incite violence.”

“That’s incitement to violence,” one X user replied. “He should be charged.”

“By ‘come together,’ the left means ‘obey me or I’ll kill you,’” another X user said.

And other right-wing figures have also tweeted about Gass’s statement.

“Wow. Jack Black laughs as his friend makes a birthday wish that they ‘don’t miss Trump next time.’ Jack was just @JoeBiden’s guest of honor and speaker at his Hollywood fundraiser,” Robby Starbuck tweeted. Starbuck ran for Congress as a Republican in Tennessee. “Biden supporters are inciting another attempt to assassinate President Trump. Evil and sick.”

“Jack Black’s band mate is garbage,” conservative commentator Drew Hernandez tweeted. “These people are doubling down on wanting Trump taken out because they know someone will respond.”

Chris Loesch, who is married to conservative radio host Dana Loesch, also tweeted saying that he will no longer be listening to Black’s band or watching his movies after what Gass said.

“I used to love @tenaciousd and thought Jack Black was funny. None of them or their music/movies will ever be played in our home again. Ever. Sickening,” Loesch tweeted. “Not funny and done in a foreign country is even worse. If you think it’s OK, unfollow and block me.”
