51 years after the film hit theaters, movie lovers are still gushing over the unique character who strummed a banjo in many memorable scenes. However, he has since done his best to vanish from the spotlight and now looks shockingly different from his character.

Billy Redden, now 66, shot to fame when he was just 15 years old by portraying Lonnie, a 'backwoods mountain boy' who blew everyone away with his banjo skills.

Since the film's release, he turned his back on both Hollywood and the banjo as he now takes on a string of jobs to make ends meet and looks nothing like he did when he rose to stardom over 50 years ago.

At the time of the film, Billy wasn't a trained actor but lived in Rabun County, Georgia, which is where the movie was shot.

He was cast due to his thin figure and narrow eyes that made him look like the perfect man for the part.

Following the release of the movie, Billy tried to hold onto his fame for a short period by organizing tourist trips down the Chattooga River, which was featured in the movie.

He played 'banjo man' in a number of other films, including Tim Burton’s 2003 hit Big Fish, Outrage: Born in Terror, Blue Collar TV, and Blastfighter.

He officially left showbiz behind in 2009 and took on other jobs such as a cook, dishwasher, and store associate at Walmart to get by.

Since his departure from the spotlight, he has done everything possible to get rid of the image tied to those in his county that came from the film.

In the 2012 documentary, The Deliverance of Rabun County, he said: 'We're not a bad people up here, we're a loving people. Rabun County is a pretty good town. It's real peaceful, not a lot of crime going on. Everybody pretty much gets along with everybody.'

A former news producer at Fox says she's "enraged" by "disgusting" behavior by the network in connection with its paid promotion of COVID vaccines and deceiving viewers about mandates to get the shot.
Breanna Morello says she left Fox when the corporation forced employees to receive COVID vaccines, and she dropped a bombshell as she claimed Fox Corporation was paid by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to promote the jabs on the air.
"Many people at Fox were upset. Nobody wants to talk about it," Breanna Morello told David and Stacey Whited at FlyoverConservatives.com. "But the company did take HHS money and in fact did force us to comply with the vaccine mandates that were already deemed illegal by the Supreme Court when Joe Biden tried implanting them."

More importantly, with Covid practically out of the picture in 2022, deaths are even higher than in 2021.
"I'm neither a doctor nor a mathematician, but I can read basic facts and draw obvious conclusions. It's the jabs. Short- and long-term adverse reactions are killing people.
"This is why there's such a sharp rise in UCOD cases. Big Tech is getting a little less restrictive about Covid injection truth. A little. It's important we share this information with as many as possible to prevent further 'vaccinations' and 'boosters' from reaching arms across the globe."
WND columnist Wayne Allyn Root also shed light on the matter in a commentary this weekend titled, "7 dead doctors in 14 days don't lie."
"Maybe we should start calling the COVID-19 jab 'the Black Death II,'" Root said.
"Did you know about any of these dead doctors? Of course you didn't. It's been a total media blackout. Why would five dead doctors in one city be worthy of media coverage? Or seven dead doctors in 14 days in one small country? Nothing to see here. Just move along."
"Does this seem normal to you? Have you ever seen this before in your lifetime? The government knows what's happening. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention knows. The life insurance companies know – they can't afford the massive losses. The funeral homes know – business is booming. The honest doctors know – they're just afraid of losing their license if they go public. Big Pharma knows – the deaths and injuries were reported in the vaccine trial data that they tried to keep secret for 75 years.

I stopped watching Fox on 11/8/20. However, I do remember reading in various venues that Fox news mandated the vaccine. I don't know about exemptions.
I know that some government agencies are requiring the jabs, but are accepting (after much turmoil) religious exemptions. The caveat is that they need to wear masks and test weekly.

What I mean is COVID is still out there, nothing has gone away. That thing that we were told we had to hide from and take these measures to avoid is still right there in front of us, still out to get you. But now everyone walks around, and they are not afraid of it anymore. So, I wonder if people are critical enough to analyze themselves and say, for a year or more of my life I was deathly afraid of something and now I am exposing myself to that very thing I was so deathly afraid of and I am not afraid anymore. The media tricked me and I was a fool.
But so far you know what? I don’t hear, see or witness this from people. They are not self-analyzing and admitting they got tricked. They are just like living in a matrix and going oh okay just moving on to the next thing, just like a robot and it is mind bending to me and when the next thing comes I don’t think they learned the lesson and will comply wholeheartedly again.

I never understood how conservatives ever believed Fox News was conservative. First of all character matters and Fox Entertainment was fithy, immoral, and liberal. Secondly, many years ago before the phrases "Deep State" and "Rino" were coined I checked out Fox News for about eleven to fourteen days. I was able to watch it all hours of the day because I wasn't working at the time. I saw a homosexual Fox News host who wore female makeup and trimmed his eye brows like a woman. He was scary to look at. I saw pompous and Libertarian O'Reilly. There was nothing conservative about that smug one. He pretended to be a Catholic just as others pretend. His character proved he does not love Jesus. Christ. Hannity was the constant cheer leader for Rinos like Bush2, McCain, and a host of others. (I've recognized what Rinos are and the Uni Party Deep State for longer than most Americans have been alive. That's why I've rarely voted even though I'm old.) I saw on Fox a steady of Libertarains, Rino Democrats, and straight up Democrats on Fox. I saw a Fox corporate policy that made the women dress in tight clothing and short dresses. Sometimes their clothing was even color matched. It was so shameful their was NOTHING conservative about it. I left Fox in short order and have been condemning Fox ever since.
Lately, I've read about a ten articles on Carlson. I like what I read. He is one of us. He might be the only REAL conservative Fox ever had. I still don't watch Fox. I'm not a TV person anyway, and I'm never going back.
I stopped being a NFL fan in the late 1970s when they introduced female TV journalists into the post game locker rooms because it was filthy immoral. I was incredulous during the 1980s when the NFL was portraying itself as family friendly entertainment. Anyway, I haven't watched a NFL game in close to 45 years. Clean cuts are good cuts.

The severe problem that the author of the book has is his frustration at not having studied medicine. It is evident because probably 30% of the book is dedicated to discrediting medical schools in general and doctors in particular for not having knowledge of the topics covered in his book. What the book's author fails to realize is that much of the research he mentions has been done by medical researchers. I also realize that many of the topics that he mentions have no scientific support or are referred to very few works, in some cases only one, and from there he builds his theories.
It is evident that ferroptosis is a fundamental issue in medicine and managing the issue therapeutically is essential the book is dedicated to that, but the author should have been a little more respectful of medicine because I would ask him in the event of a medical emergency who would deal with a colleague of the author specialized in the protocol that he himself created or would go to a hospital ward ???
On the other hand, human biology is terribly complex, and to consider that he discovered the holy grail of the cause of all diseases seems a bit arrogant of him.
I do not want to say with this that the subject matter in the book is unworthy, quite the contrary, it is excellent... but the arrogance of the author is very annoying.
As you have noticed Mr. Robbins, I am a doctor and very interested in all the ways in my power to improve people's quality of life, that's why I bought your book. Not all doctors are ignorants, the issue is that you cannot be in the heads of all doctors and believe that none are qualified to dedicate themselves to the profession they have studied.

This will simplify your understanding of why we get sick and what to do about it. A comment on here that the author is arrogant is rubbish. Praising a Pharma driven business that is now our medical system that doesn’t even try to cure is absurd. The medical system has been a dismal failure, abandoning any desire to get to the root of our illness and instead referring and depending to pharmaceuticals to manage symptoms, not curing us and making us clients for life. Seems a waste of a medical education and the time it takes, to become drug prescribers and run endless tests too often leaving patients in worse shape than they started. The same drugs create other problems that need more drugs and pile on. Drugs should be a temporary solution while we are put on a path to healing, but this is not the case with modern medicine. What they do very well and excel at is emergency medicine, often times outstanding.They should put their money and resources into that to expand those services because this is where they succeed. ⁣An aircraft technician with Air India was killed Wednesday at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport when he was sucked into the engine of an aircraft that was getting ready to taxi.

The incident occurred as the Mumbai-Hyderabad flight AI 619 began its pushback at 8.46 pm.


The technician, Ravi Subramanian, got pulled into the engine and died instantly. Hours later, the process of extricating the severely mutilated body was still underway.

An investigation was announced by Air India immediately. The DGCA also ordered an inquiry.

In a statement, Air India chairman and managing director Ashwani Lohani said, “We are deeply saddened and regret the tragic incident at Mumbai airport this evening when an Air India technician died in a mishap during pushback of flight AI 619. The incident is being investigated.”

Speaking to The Indian Express, Lohani said, “The flight was already boarded. It was ready for take-off. While it was pushing back to come on the airstrip, he (Subramanian) was working on the ground. His body got entangled in the engine.”

Pushback is the process of using tugs or tows to move an aircraft backward before it taxies out.

Subramaniam, 56, was a Vashi resident and worked as a service engineer. His job included disconnecting the pushcart from the aircraft before it moves towards the runway.
When the accident happened, an aircraft maintenance engineer was also with him.

According to the standard operating procedure, a maintenance engineer first gives clearance to the pilot by waving a red flag, after which the pilot can start the engine for taxiing out.

According to an eyewitness, it appeared that the flight captain may have started the engine before the clearance, though officials could not confirm this immediately.

Subramanian was near the nose wheel along with the pushcart when the engine started and he was sucked in.

The Mumbai Police is also investigating the accident. “Prima facie evidence indicates a case of accidental death, no one appears to be at fault,” Virendra Mishra, zonal DCP, said. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Sahar police station.

Mith Chronicler showing us that it was obviously a missile that hit the Pentagon. He also provides the rarely seen CNN footage where they report no plane parts or evidence of a plane hitting the Pentagon. On another note it was not a "scud missile" it may have been a cruise missile or some other type but it was not a "scud" as the lady in the video is saying.

The missile was most likely a JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) which is an air-launched cruise missile.
