Dave Daubenmire, a veteran 35 year high school football coach, was spurred to action when attacked and eventually sued by the ACLU in the late 1990’s for mixing prayer with his coaching. As a result of the experience, Coach heard the call to move out of coaching a high school team, to the job of coaching God’s team. PASS THE SALT was formed to encourage the Body of Christ to step into the cultural war. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” PASS THE SALT is convinced that God has given the Body a window of opportunity to take our culture back.

⁣Fact Check: Declassified 1957 CIA File Mentioning 'Tartar History' Does NOT Vindicate Tartarian Empire Conspiracy Theory | Lead Stories [please check article URL for associated images]

⁣Did the CIA declassify a 1957 file in 1999 that proves true the theories about the hidden history of an advanced global civilization, the Tartarian Empire? No, that's not true: The CIA document "National Cultural Development Under Communism" contains mention of "Tatars of Transcaucasia" and "the history of Tartaria," along with a Communist directive to revise that history to "eliminate references to Great Russian aggressions." But the document does not validate the recently emerged pseudohistory of a Tartarian Empire. The CIA file details how a 1917 promise by the Bolsheviks to many Muslim ethnic groups of Russia (that their beliefs and customs would be "free and inviolate") was not honored by the Communists in the decades that followed. Tartary (or Tartaria) is not the name of a country. It was a name given to Central Asia and Siberia. The "Tartarian Empire" is a baseless conspiracy theory that only began to gain traction in 2018.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) in the Facebook group Tartaria on April 17, 2024. It was captioned:

I was doing some digging on Tartaria on the cia files and found this piece of gold! Basically proving the theories right 🤔

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

⁣(Source: Facebook screenshot taken on Fri Apr 19 17:51:17 2024 UTC)

The body of the post is a screenshot from the June 1957 document called "National Cultural Development Under Communism" or CIA-RDP78-02771R000200090002-6. This is hosted in the CIA reading room as a PDF of the original typewritten 1957 document, or in the Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room in a searchable electronic CREST format. The portion appearing in the Facebook post is page 9, or page 10 in the PDF. The highlighted portion of text in the screenshot reads:

For example, on 9 August 1944, the Central Committee of the Communist Party, sitting in Moscow, issued a directive ordering the party's Tartar Provincial Committee 'to proceed to a scientific revision of the history of Tartaria, to liquidate serious shortcomings and mistakes of a nationalistic character committed by indi- vidual writers and historians in dealing with Tartar history.' In other words, Tartar history was to be rewritten

This excerpt is presented to the audience. but severed from two different contexts, from the context of the declassified CIA document, as well as from its relevance as a key piece of commonly circulated documentation associated with the baseless Tartarian Empire conspiracy.
The CIA document begins with a quote:

Muslims of Russia, Tatars of the Volga and the Crimea, Kirghiz and Sarts of Siberia and Turkestan, Turks and Tatars of Transcaucasia, Chechens and Mountain Peoples of the Caucasus, and all you whose mosques and prayer houses have been destroyed, whose beliefs and customs have been trampled upon by the Tsars and the oppressors of Russia. Henceforth your beliefs and customs, your national and cultural institutions are forever free and inviolate. Organize your national life in complete freedom. This is your right.

Thus read in part a proclamation issued on 7 December 1917 by the Bolsheviks over the signatures of Lenin and Stalin, addressed to 'All Muslim toilers of Russia and the East.'

The document then lists examples of how the Communists did not keep earlier promises but attacked Islamic religious practice. On page 9 (the highlighted text of the Facebook post) an August 9, 1944, directive from the Central Committee of the Communist Party to the Tartar Provincial Committee says:

to proceed to a scientific revision of the history of Tartaria, to liquidate serious shortcomings and mistakes of a nationalistic character committed by indi- vidual writers and historians in dealing with Tartar history.

Directly below this (not highlighted in the Facebook post) the paragraph continues:

And this was no isolated case. In every Muslim area within the USSR, historians, on orders of the Communist Party, have rewritten history to distort the facts so that the Russians appear always in a good light. Needless to say, histories which present the facts truthfully have been withdrawn and destroyed, so that the present and future generations of Muslims are forever denied the chance of learning the true facts of their nations' past.

The highlighted screenshot is offered to the Tartaria Facebook group as if this CIA document was just discovered by the poster who was "doing some digging." However, this exact paragraph was included in a seminal post on April 17, 2018 (archived here), by @KorbenDallas, an administrator of the stolenhistory.org forums. In this post he drafted the details of this new conspiracy theory -- a coverup that he described:

The official history is hiding a major world power which existed as late as the 19th century. Tartary was a country with its own flag, its own government and its own place on the map. Its territory was huge, but somehow quietly incorporated into Russia, and some other countries. This country you can find on the maps predating the second half of the 19th century.

The Lead Stories composite image below shows the Google search trends in the United States and worldwide for the term Tartaria in English -- both begin abruptly in late 2018.

⁣(Source: Lead Stories composite image of Google Trends search results taken on Fri Apr 19 22:15:05 2024 UTC)

On October 5, 2020, the Russian Geographical Society published an article, "The Whole Truth About Tartary." Here it explains that Tartaria "is not a specific state, but a kind of mythologized land that has never had precise borders." and finishes by emphasising for the sake of conspiracists:

By the way, no one hides information about Tartary. All maps with a similar designation are easy to find in cartographic collections, and the Russian Geographical Society has repeatedly exhibited its collections in exhibition halls. You can also get acquainted with them online on the Geoportal of the Russian Geographical Society.

⁣Two space cadets crash-land on a desert planet, where an evil wizard seeks the ultimate power to take over the world. Although the movie borrows some background footage from Star Wars, the plot is mostly unrelated.

The strange case of Turkish Star Wars

The Ottoman Empire Strikes Back

The sub-genre of mockbusters has been celebrated (albeit somewhat ironically) for years, with a brisk trade in VHS tapes and copied DVDs. Now, many of the “classics” of that genre are freely available on the internet, often with recently-added English subtitles.

While the likes of Asylum studio in America are currently doing fine with modern straight-to-DVD rip-offs and Bollywood regularly steals from American films (“now with added dancing”), few do it better than the Turks did. Some spectacular mockbusters were made in the 1970s and ’80s in Turkey that really need to be seen to be believed. The most famous of the collection is the “Turkish Star Wars”.

In 1982, director Çetin Inanç made a film called Dünyay Kurtaran Adam, which translates as “The Man Who Saves the World”. It would become famous by its unofficial title “Turkish Star Wars”. This was mostly due to the wholly unauthorised use of spliced-in footage from George Lucas’ ’77 original that Inanç used for many of his film’s scenes. Not all of them made sense in context and they were all in a different aspect ratio to the rest of the film. But that didn’t stop the sticky-fingered director, who seemed to have a plan that consisted of stealing clips and music from wherever he could. He filled the rest of the (very loose) narrative with his own actors, and although the plot doesn’t follow the original Star Wars shot-for-shot (far from it) it’s very clear what film is mostly being copied.

Inanç’s film, and numerous others like it, was made because around that time the Turkish film board wasn’t letting many Western blockbusters into the country. Inanç had started out making erotica, but following the military coup d’état of the country in 1980 and the passing of new censorship laws, he decided to move into propaganda and action films instead. He soon gained the nickname “jet director” due to his penchant for making entire films in just ten days.

Unfortunately, the lack of money at his disposal and minimal time spent on his films was clearly evident in the final products.
As well as stealing actual footage from Star Wars, other gaps in the film – and budget – were filled with stock footage of the Russian space programme and old newsreel clips of NASA rocket launches. And when it came to the original effects shot in Turkey, it’s evident that no expense was spent.

They did a least have a recognised actor. The film’s star was Cüneyt Arkin, who far from being a desperate B-movie jobber was one of the biggest actors in the country at the time. (He is now considered a legend of Turkish cinema, with over 250 films to his name.) Arkin was a qualified doctor but, more relevantly, was also a trained martial arts expert. So rather than lightsaber fights there are a lot of hand-to-hand combat scenes that make good use of his skills. One scene in particular – the training montage – has become cult viewing. While such scenes have become a cliché to the point that even doing a parody of it is now clichéd, this one is bewilderingly fantastic. At one point the hero kicks a boulder into a wall causing an explosion. The fact that it’s all set to the Giorgio Moroder version of the Battlestar Galactica theme just makes it somehow better. And weirder.
In fact, the whole soundtrack is a rip-off, but as with the montage, rather than just taking the original Star Wars music by John Williams, it also makes use of other famous scores. Along with Battlestar Galactica’s music, the director also incorporates the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme tune; at other points it “borrows” music from Flash Gordon, Moonraker, Planet of the Apes, Silent Running and even uses Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor”.

It was not uncommon at the time for soundtracks and characters from other films to be used in Turkish cinema. For example, in one of the Turkish Batman films, the villain looks suspiciously like a total rip-off of Ernst Blofeld from the James Bond series. Those suspicions are confirmed when you see him in one scene with a cat on his lap and then, just in case you still weren’t sure, the famous John Barry 007 theme strikes up.

While some of the martial art skills on display in Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam are fairly decent, it seems strange to see them being used in the famous Alderaan cantina scene on home-made aliens that look like Sesame Street puppets. At one point, a large Elmo look-alike is karate-chopped in half. All of this is intercut with actual Star Wars alien footage and with a ropey cover of the cantina bands music playing in the background.

Along the way we see a copy of Robbie the Robot from Lost In Space, working for someone who is clearly based on Ming the Merciless. There are skeletons on horseback, zombies, slave girls, ’50s style spacemen, two golden ninjas and a big furry monster that even the props department from early Doctor Who episodes would laugh at. This creature’s voice was seemingly over-dubbed by someone going “Grrrrr…raaaah” in post-production. It’s all a wonderful mess, but other than the unintentional hilarity, the only thing going for it compared to the Lucas series is the complete absence of Jar Jar Binks.

Although not a success at the box office, it spawned a sequel — Son Of The Man Who Saves The World. Arkin continued to get regular work although his last film in 2008 was a poorly-received Turkish sex comedy that currently has an IMDb score of 1.8 out of ten.

Turkish Star Wars, however, has become cult viewing, with surprisingly regular public screenings, and it has led to director Çetin Inanç being celebrated as the Turkish Ed Wood. Inanç would go on to make rip offs of Jaws and Rambo (see right) during the ’80s, but Turkish Star Wars will forever be his magnum opus.

Despite the fact that the film infringes on a huge number of copyrights, the film itself is seemingly not in copyright so is free in the public domain to view or download via the excellent http://archive.org. It’s worth seeing, if only so the next time someone says to you that the latest Hollywood film was the worst film they have ever seen, you’ll be able to reply, “Hang on, have you ever seen Turkish Star Wars?”

Six other Turkish mockbusters

Korkusuz (1986)
Translated as “Rampage”, this is the Turkish version of Rambo, and despite the low standard set by the American original this still falls comically short. His rocket launcher appears to be a child’s toy that barely shoots more than six feet, but that doesn’t stop the many explosions in the distance and hammy deaths galore.

Badi (1983)
Special effects are tricky to do with no budget, but that didn’t stop the Turks making their own version of E.T. using a child in a rubber alien suit. It emits smoke from its rear end and some scenes are speeded up, but then it veers from slapstick comedy to heartbreaking scenes of animal death that would give Kes a run for its money. The sequel (Homoti) features an alien with a visible zip on his back.

Seytan (1974)
The Exorcist gets the treatment with a plot that pretty much follows the original (except being Turkish instead of using the Bible they use the Muslim Holy book) while the famous scene with the possessed child in bed is like a strange parody. That said, it’s not as bad as the others listed here. Sure it’s not going to have you leaving the lights on at night, but we’ve seen worse effects in recent B-movies.

Süpermen Dönüyor (1979)
This version of Superman has some truly horrible flying special-effects and the fight scenes are comically choreographed, in places looking more like an episode of The Benny Hill Show. In its defence, however, unlike the Indian Superman rip off, at least his Turkish counterpart doesn’t occasionally break into a very camp dance routine for no reason.

Çöl (1983)
In the Turkish version of Jaws, along with the famous shark (and its visibly peeling paint job) there are martial arts fights, high-speed car chases and in the middle of the film, an exotic dance sequence. Purists will be glad to see the famous John William theme is used, but also present one the soundtrack are Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” from Rocky and instrumental cover version of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love”.

Turist Ömer Uzay Yolunda (1974)
The Star Trek rip-off was loosely based on one of the 1966 episodes of the original TV series and notably would have had a budget of about the same. And, rather than an American soundstage they got to use the actual ruins at Ephesus as a setting for an alien planet, yet still this comes off as pretty terrible. The addition of a comedy Turkish tramp named Ömer the Tourist (mentioned in the title) really doesn’t add to Gene Roddenberry’s original vision.

--

After many attempts to gather the original actors in the film to create a sequel to The Man Who Saved the World, a follow-up, The Son of the Man Who Saved the World (Dünyayı Kurtaran Adam'ın Oğlu), commonly known as Turks in Space, was shot in 2006.

The sequel was released on 15 December 2006. Some fans expressed their disapproval that the special effects were not similar to the original film, where all the space scenes were ripped directly from science fiction titles of the time, such as Star Wars, the Star Trek series, and Battlestar Galactica. Famous actors from Turkey, such as Mehmet Ali Erbil took part, and Kartal Tibet directed.

⁣What To Do If Your Pet Eats Your Stash | High Times

⁣We recently looked into the rising phenomenon of treating pets with medical cannabis. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center’s official position on pets and cannabis states: “At this point the ASPCA does not support using marijuana in pets for pain control. There have been no scientifically accepted studies comparing marijuana products to known pain control medications (opioids, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). In addition, research has not been able to adequately define what a safe and effective dose of marijuana would be due to the wide variety in product available.”

The clinical effects of THC ingestion in pets can include depression, listlessness, loss of motor coordination and balance, vomiting, hypothermia, agitation, diarrhea, drooling, urinary incontinence, seizures and, in a very few reported cases, coma or death. That’s no fun for Fido—or for any responsible pet owner. So, just as you keep your edibles, dabs, hash and flowers away from kids, keep it off the coffee table so that Mr. Snix doesn’t scarf it down and get all woozy. And here’s what to do if your pet does eat your stash:

1. Figure out what your pet ingested. Did he scarf down a joint? He’ll probably be okay. Did he snarf your 180 mg Bhang Bar? Chocolate can be fatally toxic to dogs, so Bowser may be doubly afflicted if he gobbled a cocoa-licious edible. Either way, play it safe: Don’t wait for symptoms to start. Treat him yourself right away, or get him to a veterinarian.

2. If you choose to treat your precious pooch or kitty at home, give him activated charcoal orally. It’s a good idea to always have some on hand; you can buy it at most drug stores. The activated charcoal traps toxins as they move through the digestive system. Keep your sweetie warm and in a dark, quiet place, and have fluids at the ready if he’s able to drink a little bit.

3. If you’ve given your little guy activated charcoal and he’s not showing signs of improvement, or is getting worse, take him to the vet right away. A veterinarian can put your pet on IV fluids and monitor him in case of more severe symptoms.

4. Be honest with the vet. Vets are not obligated to report marijuana poisoning, and they need to know what’s going on to properly treat your fur baby. Also, you don’t want to pay for a bunch of tests just so the vet can figure out that the dog ate your weed.

5. Stay calm. Animals with marijuana poisoning rarely die. Just be a good buddy, speak in a soothing voice, let your critter know that you’re there for him—and keep your stash in a safer place in the future.

⁣Werewolf Game Rules, Roles & How to Play

Here is a guide to how to play Werewolf.
Werewolf is an interactive multiplayer game. This activity often appears in corporate settings as a team building game or icebreaker. Werewolf is a slightly complicated game, and understanding the rules beforehand is essential.
Werewolf is among the best team building games and problem-solving games. You can also use the challenge as a theater game or communication activity.
werewolf-game-rules
This article covers:
Werewolf game rules
Werewolf game roles
how to play Werewolf
how to play Werewolf online
Here are the basics.
Werewolf game rules
Werewolf is one of the best team building games. You can play the exercise in person or online via a Zoom or video call. This game requires participants to listen carefully and communicate clearly. The game Mafia inspired Werewolf as we know it today. Players have utilized a version of this game for decades.
The main goal of the werewolf is to survive the “night.” Players have different roles, which determine what can happen to them during the game. The most crucial element to success is that the moderator or host understands the rules clearly.
The main narrative involves a werewolf trying to devour other players. There is also a medic and a seer. Everyone who is not assigned one of these specific roles is a villager. You can find more information about all these roles below.
Before the game, the moderator will assign roles to all participants. If you are playing in person, then you can ask players to draw cards out of a bowl. Or, you can pass out cards. If you are playing virtually, then you can use an online generator to assign roles. Or, the moderator can directly message each player with their role. The most important thing is that players do not know who is in what role.
To play the game:
The moderator will advise all players on what time of day it is. For example, the werewolf is active at night. The seer and the medic also awake at night. However, the villagers do not wake up until morning.
The moderator is a neutral guide and cannot die nor vote on the werewolf.
During the day, the moderator guides discussion among the villagers as they attempt to determine who the werewolf is.
The villagers vote on who the werewolf is.
If the villagers figure out who the werewolf is, then they win.
If the villagers are wrong, then night falls again. If the werewolf manages to kill everyone before getting caught, then he or she wins.
No cheating! Players cannot open their eyes until instructed to do so by the moderator.
The most important rule of Werewolf is that for survival, the seer, medic, and werewolves should conceal their true identities and masquerade as villagers for as long as possible.
Werewolf game roles
There are several roles in Werewolf, and each has a purpose.
1. Moderator
The moderator has a vital role. It is your job to ensure the game runs smoothly.
First, you will assign roles either randomly with cards or using an online generator. The moderator must protect the identities of both the werewolf and the seer. If the villagers figure out who these players are, then the game ends. While the moderator cannot win or lose the game, they carry the most responsibility.
The moderator controls day and night throughout the game and wakes up the werewolf, medic, and seer. The moderator also can pronounce villagers dead. Afterward, they guide discussion among the villagers as participants attempt to determine who the werewolf is. Fair warning, it can be a challenge to remain impartial and not give anything away when you know so much!
The moderator has several jobs throughout the game, in the following order:
Assign roles to all the players.
Notify all players when night falls.
Wake up the werewolf and find out who they want to kill.
Wake up the seer and find out who they think the werewolf is.
Wake up the medic and find out who they want to save.
Wake up all the players when the day arrives.
Give the bad news notifying villagers who died.
Guide discussion among villagers as the debate who the werewolf is.
Take a vote and tally who the villagers want to kick out.
Depending on the vote, notify the voted out villager, or the caught werewolf.
The moderator has the task of moving along the story and keeping players engaged.
2. Werewolf
The werewolf is the game’s villain and main antagonist. The werewolf’s only job is to stalk the villagers at night and kill them without getting caught. This role probably has the most power in the game. Each night, the moderator wakes the werewolf up and asks them who they want to eat.
Of course, the werewolf needs to act as sneakily and stealthily as possible. This is where strategy comes into play. Your goal is to deflect or deter villagers’ suspicions. For example, choose random villagers, and avoid victims that might be an obvious choice for you. Furthermore, during daytime deliberation, try to make the villagers believe you are one of them.
For the best chance at surviving, the werewolf needs to figure out the identities of the seer and medic. The seer, in particular, is your biggest threat. Once the seer figures you out, their only goal is to turn all the villagers against you.
If you have eight players or more, then consider having two werewolves. For groups of 16 players, three werewolves are best. As the group grows, increasing the number of werewolves keeps the game balanced. When playing with many werewolves, you can ask them to work together to choose a victim. Or, the werewolves can take turns choosing their victims on different nights.
3. Seer
The seer is the anti-werewolf. This character is attempting to catch the werewolf and save the villagers. The seer has the chance to discover the werewolf, and then try to persuade other players.
The seer gets the night to ask the moderator who the werewolf is. Once you find out the truth, you are indispensable to the villagers. However, this fact makes you very dangerous to the werewolf, who will likely try to eliminate you as early as possible. For this reason, the seer must keep their identity hidden from the villagers and the werewolf.
To stay alive longer in the game and keep the werewolf from getting suspicious, try to remain neutral in discussions. If you are always trying to get the villagers to vote for the werewolf and they refuse, then you will likely end up dead very soon. Reading the room during the discussion can help you to stay alive. For instance, if another player mentions the werewolf, then you have a chance to guide the conversation without pointing fingers.
4. Medic
The medic is a fun but unnecessary role if you play with a smaller group. The moderator wakes the medic up each night after the werewolf and the seer. The moderator will ask the medic who they want to save. The medic will not know the identities of the seer nor the wolf’s victims. If the medic chooses the wolf’s intended prey, then that villager survives.
The medic is extra helpful if they can figure out the identity of the seer. Once the seer knows who the werewolf is, they can help end the game. If the medic can figure out who the seer is, then the medic can keep the seer alive.
Again, if you are playing with a smaller group, it is OK to leave the medic out. Playing without a medic will only mean that villagers die when the wolf attacks them.
5. Villagers
Every participant who is not the moderator, seer, medic, or werewolf is a villager. Think of these characters as potential food for the werewolf. Their only goal is to figure out who the werewolf is and stop the feeding frenzy.
An individual villager stands no chance against the werewolf. However, a community can band together to catch the werewolf and save the remaining group members.
To be successful, the villagers should figure out who each role is. The villagers know that a participant is lying to cover up their tracks. They also know someone is telling the truth and trying to save the whole village. The key is to figure out who is who.
How to play Werewolf
the following is the main flow of the game Werewolf.
To play the game, the moderator will assign roles to players. The moderator will then tell all players that night has fallen. Participants should hum or lightly tap their desks so ambient noise and movement are not as noticeable. Once night falls, the only player to speak is the moderator. The werewolf, the medic, and the seer should be as inconspicuous as possible when answering the moderator.
First, the moderator will wake up the werewolf. You can say a phrase along the lines of, “Werewolf, open your eyes and choose your victim.” The werewolf will choose a villager to kill by pointing at them. The moderator should confirm this by holding their hand over the selected victim. The werewolf will then go back to sleep.
Next, the moderator will wake up the seer. The moderator can say something like, “Seer, wake up. Who do you think is the evil werewolf?” The seer will choose a player by pointing at them. Again, the moderator should confirm by holding their hand over the chosen player’s head. Then, the moderator will audibly answer with either “villager” or “werewolf.” The seer will then go back to sleep.
Then, the moderator will wake up the medic. You can ask the medic, “Who do you think needs saving tonight?” The medic will point to someone. Just like with the werewolf and seer, be sure to confirm their choice by holding a hand over the head of the villager they chose. The medic will then go back to sleep.
Finally, the moderator will announce the sun has come up, and all villagers should wake up. As soon as the moderator wakes the villagers up, they will inform the villagers there has been an attack. If the unlucky villager that the werewolf picked is not also chosen by the medic, they unfortunately die. Yet, if the medic chose the same villager as the werewolf, the attack was not fatal, and the villager will pull through.
During the day, the moderator will guide the villager’s discussion as they attempt to figure out who the werewolf is. Any player can say anything in these debates. But, villagers who are already dead must remain quiet. You can think of them as silent ghosts. During this discussion, villagers can proclaim their innocence and accuse werewolves. It is best to give a time limit on discussions. After a couple of minutes, the moderator will call for a vote.
Then, allow for villagers to make their accusations. You can hold your hand over the head of the accused werewolves and ask for votes. Villagers should raise their hand when the moderator is over who they think the werewolf is.
The villagers eliminate the participant who gets the most votes. The player should then reveal whether they were the werewolf. If they were a villager, then the moderator could say, “The village has voted to condemn an innocent person! The werewolf will find a new victim tonight.”
If the accused was the seer, then the moderator can say, “The village has voted to condemn the seer, the one player who knew the truth. The werewolf will find a new victim tonight.” If the accused was the medic, then the moderator can say, “The village has voted to condemn the medic, the one player who could save an attack victim. The werewolf will find a new victim tonight.”
However, If the accused was indeed the werewolf, then the moderator can say, “The village has voted to condemn the werewolf. You are now safe from the ravenous appetite of the werewolf. You can sleep well tonight knowing that the wolf is no longer hunting.” However, if you play with more than one werewolf, let the villagers know they caught one werewolf, yet more werewolves remain.
If the villagers do not catch the werewolf, or the last werewolf, then the game continues. The moderator should then inform participants that night has fallen again. Next, repeat the steps in the same order, asking the same questions. If the werewolf kills the seer or medic, skip those questions.
The game continues until the villagers kill all the werewolves or until the werewolves kill all the villagers.
How to play werewolf online
Werewolf is a fun game to play virtually, as well. Rules are the same, but there are a few factors to consider to make the game a success on a Zoom call.
First, the moderator needs to be the host of the call. This step is to ensure the moderator has enough control to manage the game.
Next, be sure each participant knows how to “Raise their hand.” This feature puts a hand icon next to a player’s name in the participant’s list. At the beginning of the game, all villagers as well as the werewolf, medic, and seer should raise their hands to place the icon by their name. As players die, they should remove the icon. Removing the hand clarifies who is still actively participating in the game.
The moderator can use the chat feature to message participants about their roles directly. Or, the moderator can send an email or text message to players before the game begins. Similar to in-person gameplay, roles must remain secret.
When night comes, all players should turn off their cameras and mute their microphones to keep players from giving away information through body language or facial expressions. The moderator will ask questions to the werewolf, the seer, and the medic out loud for all participants to hear. However, the werewolf, the seer, and the medic should answer by private message. If there is more than one werewolf, then they should privately discuss who they want to kill before answering the moderator.
Next, the moderator will wake up all players and ask them to turn on their cameras and microphones. The group will then try to figure out who the werewolf is. Next, the moderator takes a vote. Participants will vote by physically raising their hands on the camera, using the platform’s polling feature, or typing guesses into the chat.
The game continues as it would in person.
Conclusion
Werewolf is an entertaining game for teams to build relationships and interact socially. During the game, players must communicate clearly and rely on strategy. Werewolf is a great way to open a meeting or for team building at a retreat.

FAQ: Werewolf Game Rules
Here are answers to questions about Werewolf.
What are the rules of the Werewolf game?
The rules of Werewolf are slightly complicated. There is a moderator who controls the game, a werewolf, a seer, a medic, and villagers. The werewolf tries to eat villagers, the seer tries to help villagers catch the werewolf, the medic tries to save attacked villagers, and the villagers try to survive and catch the werewolf. Each night, the werewolf attacks a villager, and each day, villagers try to catch the werewolf.
How do you play Werewolf with groups?
To play Werewolf in a group, you need at least five or six players. Each player has a role, either moderator, werewolf, seer, medic, or villager. The moderator keeps track of night when werewolves eat villagers, and day, when villagers try to figure out who the werewolf is.
How do you play Werewolf online?
To play Werewolf online, use a video conferencing app, like Zoom. You can follow the same rules as playing in person with only a few changes. Participants will need to utilize private chat features, as well as turn off their cameras and microphones for nighttime.

Comment from ⁣Age of Irony on BitChute:

"An uninformed majority will always lose a battle of information against an informed minority." This reminds me of this 2011 study produced by the scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Scientists have found that when just 10 percent of the population holds an unshakable belief, their belief will always be adopted by the majority of the society. The scientists used computational and analytical methods to discover the tipping point where a minority belief becomes the majority opinion. "When the number of committed opinion holders is below 10 percent, there is no visible progress in the spread of ideas. It would literally take the amount of time comparable to the age of the universe for this size group to reach the majority," said SCNARC Director Boleslaw Szymanski, the Claire and Roland Schmitt Distinguished Professor at Rensselaer. "Once that number grows above 10 percent, the idea spreads like flame." https://www.sciencedaily.com/r....eleases/2011/07/1107

I did some research and found the percentage of the informed vs the misinformed varies by percentage. But the general consensus is 25%. Some research states the percentage of populace needed for a shift is 25%. https://penntoday.upenn.edu/ne....ws/damon-centola-tip

⁣Truth Justice ™ - CONFIRMATION EPSTEIN WORKED FOR THE MOSSAD: Ari Ben-Menashe, who is a former Israeli spy confirmed on the record, unequivocally, that Jeffrey Epstein was working for Israeli intelligence operations, the Mossad, and running a classic honey trap operation, that is, lure people inside, record their activities, and use it to blackmail them.

Ari Ben-Menashe was also the handler of Jeffrey Epstein's best friend and ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell. She was said to have been one of the women who helped to procure the underage girls for Epstein.

Ghislaine Maxwell's father was Robert Maxwell, a media and press baron. He was a former Mossad agent, and according to Ari Ben-Menashe, the business that Robert Maxwell had was turned over to Jeffrey Epstein almost in a switch before Maxwell died in mysterious circumstances in 1991.

This means that our U.S. Presidents, politicians around the world, celebrities, judges and elites, including the Royal Family are all being controlled by the Mossad, Israeli Intelligence through blackmail that Jeffrey Epstein procured for them. This is why the Epstein files have not been released, because the files and videos are in the possession of the Mossad, Israeli Intelligence.

⁣SPICER, Minn. (FOX 9) - Minnesota-based lawyer and online legal analyst Nick Rekieta is facing a drug charge in Kandiyohi County.

Rekieta was arrested Thursday along with his wife Kayla and a fellow online personality. Prosecutors filed charges against Rekieta and his wife on Friday for second-degree possession, child endangerment, and a gross misdemeanor firearm charge.

According to the charges, law enforcement attempted to execute a search warrant on May 23 at Rekieta’s home in Spicer and was greeted by a girl at the front door who would not let them inside.

After Rekieta refused to provide the door code, law enforcement used a door ram to get inside and found Kayla, Imholte, and four juveniles inside.

Law enforcement proceeded to search the master bedroom and bathroom, where they allegedly found a variety of drug paraphernalia, including three small baggies that tested positive for cocaine, eight green tablets that tested positive for Ketamine, and a digital scale, and several other items that tested positive for cocaine, charges claim.

Authorities also found a Sig Sauer AR with several magazines and loose ammunition underneath the bed, a spent shell casing on the bedroom floor, and located additional firearms and ammunition in the garage, according to court records.

Police took Rekieta and his wife Kayla into custody, and he told law enforcement that he and his wife stayed in the master bedroom, where law enforcement claimed to find most of the drug paraphernalia, but allegedly refused to answer questions about the cocaine, according to court records.

Before his arrest, some online users had raised concerns about Rekieta's health this week sharing a clip of him appearing to dose off during a stream.

Law enforcement noted Rekeita had several injuries to his arms at the time of his arrest. They described the injuries as sores that are common with controlled substance users, charges said.

Rekieta, who owns a law firm based in Spicer, Minn., saw his online following skyrocket during the pandemic, as he covered cases including Kyle Rittenhouse's trial and Johnny Depp's lawsuit against Amber Heard.

He has more than 150,000 followers on Twitter and nearly 450,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Rekieta and his wife are set to make their first court appearance on Friday morning.

Relief Fund for Hurricane Helene Victims

Families in Western North Carolina need help! Our politicians have done nothing for the people of Appalachia, so we have decided to organize as citizen volunteers. Donations large and small are greatly appreciated. All proceeds will go towards providing relief to victims of Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina in the following ways:

-Food and bottled water for victims
-Fuel for victims
-Toiletries and medical supplies for victims
-Fuel to operate equipment for relief efforts

We are volunteers from groups throughout the Southeast and beyond who are coming to the aid of a demographic our system clearly cares nothing about: Appalachians. We are being told that FEMA is out of money while our government sends billions overseas. Our people are suffering and dying right here, right now, and they don't have time to wait for government services that may never come. We are internally fundraising for our own travel, lodging, and food expenses. We are bringing our own equipment. Absolutely ALL of the funds received will go directly toward supplies for the victims and fuel to operate equipment. We will be organizing relief efforts for the foreseeable future, and will keep this GSG updated with the areas we're focusing on next.

Modern Misconceptions and Clarifications

In modern political discourse, misunderstandings surrounding the terms 'republic' and 'democracy' are prevalent and are often strategically wielded in debates. These terminological misconceptions can distort public understanding and contribute to broader misrepresentations of the foundational principles governing the United States.

The conflation of 'democracy' and 'republic' in contemporary usage often obscures their distinct historical and constitutional meanings. A democracy, in its purest form as practiced in ancient Athens, involves direct participation of the citizenry in legislative decisions. While democratic, this approach was deemed impractical and potentially volatile by the framers of the U.S. Constitution, leading them to form a constitutional republic. This system combines representative democracy with foundational laws that protect individual rights and minority opinions against the potential tyranny of the majority.

During recent political upheavals, some commentators and politicians have asserted that calling the United States a democracy is incorrect, preferring instead the term 'republic'. This assertion, seen in media portrayals and political rhetoric, often suggests that appreciating the United States as a republic exclusively helps safeguard against the flaws of a pure democracy. Senator Mike Lee's comments from October 2020 exemplify this stance as he described the American system as not one of mere majorities but rather as a "constitutional republic" where majority rule is tempered by statutory and constitutional boundaries.3

This restrictive interpretation, however, misses a broader point: the terms are not mutually exclusive and are interwoven deeply in the fabric of the US governance system. The electorate's power to elect representatives who make and interpret laws is inherently democratic, while the constitutional framework that guides and limits governance embodies the republic notion. Ignoring this connection narrows the discourse and can polarize debates unnecessarily.

Some political figures selectively use these terms to energize bases or criticize opponents, framing the narrative to suggest incompatible differences between these government forms. This deepens political divides and shifts focus away from discussing the substantive functioning of our government. The debate over whether the founders intended a 'republic' over a 'democracy' sometimes serves specific agendas without enriching the understanding of how both elements are essential to the nation's structure.

Conversations around election integrity and the validity of electoral processes often draw on this 'republic vs. democracy' discourse. Allegations of election fraud and the undermining of voting processes are severe issues that require attention and resolution. However, using the definitions and interpretations of 'republic' and 'democracy' to frame such arguments risks muddying the objective understanding with political partisanship. It distracts from factual evidence and legal standards that are the true arbiters in such cases.

Resources committed to sharing knowledge and fostering understanding about the Constitution play a crucial role in clarifying these concepts. By providing accurate historical contexts and expert analyses, such platforms help demystify the rhetoric and encourage informed dialogue among the populace. Comprehending the complementary nature of democracy and republic in the constitutional framework of the United States enlightens citizens and helps maintain the principles of justice, liberty, and equality envisaged by the founding fathers and encapsulated in the document they crafted. This synergy between varying forms of governance underlines the adaptability and enduring longevity of the Constitution as a framework for our nation.

This week, we’re looking at unfinished infrastructure—places around the world where grand visions didn’t quite live up to their potential. Previously: the nuclear power plant in Crimea that Chernobyl stopped dead.

THE TOWER WENT 187 FEET up into the sky. The base was framed with wood, but the giant ball on top, 68 feet in diameter, was made of steel. In the ground below, there were said to be tunnels and an “iron root system” that went deep into earth. Nikola Tesla, the inventor and engineer who helped electrify America, believed the tower was the start of a system that could deliver electricity, without wires, to the whole world.

At the beginning of the 20th century, Tesla had become famous for his work on AC power. But he had other big ideas. At his laboratory in Colorado, he had conducted experiments with wireless transmission, trying to send electricity through the ground. His notes on this work are hard to draw conclusions from. But it seems that in at least one instance he had some success. At the very least, he came back east convinced that he could make this idea a reality, on a much larger scale.

After shopping his idea around to the some of the richest men in the world, Tesla secured backing—a solid $150,000—from J.P. Morgan. The investor was most interested in the idea of wireless communication: Guglielmo Marconi, an Italian inventor, had recently been demonstrating his system for wireless telegraphy, sending messages from ships back to land. But Tesla had bigger ideas.

Construction began in 1901 in Long Island on what would become known as Wardenclyffe Tower. Tesla imagined that it would be the beginning of a network of towers, 30 at least, around the world. He believed that these towers would allow him to send electricity through the atmosphere, which anyone with the correct equipment could tap into. Electric power would be ubiquitous. He would make “the whole of this globe…quiver.”

This idea was never going to work: The scientific theories that underlay Tesla’s dream would later be pulled apart. Electricity can be transmitted through the air, but the amount of power needed to send any substantial amount makes this an extremely impractical system. But even to try it, Tesla needed more money, which Morgan was unwilling to provide. There were reports of sparks flying from the tower once or twice, but for the most part it remained a hulking metal orb of mysterious purpose.

After financing dried up, Tesla mortgaged the property and eventually, as his financial troubles grew deeper, he lost it altogether. In 1917, the new owner, trying to recoup some value, had the tower dynamited down and converted into scrap metal. After the first blast, the tower listed to the side and remained tilting towards the ground, a failed experiment, until the workers pulled it down.

The Bunger Hills are located with its center at stretching from 65°58'S to 66°20'S and from 100°20'E to 100°28'E. The Bunger Hills are marked by numerous melt ponds and are nearly bisected by an east-west trending Algae Lake (also known as Lake Figurnoye). Mapped from air photos taken by the United States Navy Operation Highjump (1946-1947) and named by the United States Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Commander David E. Bunger, United States Navy, plane commander of one of the three USN Operation HIGH JUMP aircraft which engaged in photographic missions along most of the coastal area between 14 E and 164 E. David E. Bunger and members of his crew landed their airplane on an unfrozen lake here in February 1947. The ice-free area measures 450 km², according to some sources even 750 or 942 km². The area is surrounded by glaciers. On the southeast the Bunger Hills are bordered by the steep slopes of the Antarctic ice sheet, on the south and west by outlet glaciers, and on the north by Shackleton Ice Shelf, which separates the area from the open sea. The topography is characterized by hills and low mountains, and there are many freshwater and salt lakes. The largest and deepest lake, Algae Lake (Lake Figurnoye) is 25 km long and up to 137 meters deep. The leader of Operation HIGH JUMP, Admiral Richard E. Byrd, famously stated that the Bunger Hills was "one of the most remarkable regions on earth. An island suitable for life had been found in a universe of death."

Biden Energy Secretary Granholm admits false testimony about owning stocks

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm admitted in a letter Friday that she made a false statement when she recently told lawmakers she didn't own any individual stocks.

While Granholm divested from a variety of stocks in 2021, she acknowledged in the letter — which was sent to Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee leadership — that she maintained shares of six companies. On April 20, however, Granholm testified under oath that she had sold all of her shares of individual companies.

"As you know, as part of the confirmation process before this Committee, in 2021 I divested from assets that could be in conflict with my official duties," Granholm wrote in the letter obtained by Fox News Digital. "I did, however, retain assets that were determined by Government ethics officials to not conflict with my official duties."

"I mistakenly told the Committee that I did not own any individual stocks, whereas I should have said that I did not own any conflicting stocks. In order to make my financial holdings consistent with my testimony, on May 18, 2023, I divested my remaining stock holdings which consisted of stock in six companies, even though these assets were deemed non-conflicting," she continued.

Granholm didn't say in the letter which companies she had owned shares of — and which she divested from on May 18 — but vowed to share that information in her Annual Public Financial Disclosure Report in mid-June.

In addition, Granholm said she discovered on May 13 that her husband Daniel Mulhern owned $2,457.89 worth of shares in Ford Motor Company. Those shares were then sold on May 15, a Monday, when the stock market opened.

Granholm acknowledged she hadn't disclosed those shares in her two prior Public Financial Disclosure Reports and had mistakenly believed her family's divestiture of Ford was complete in early 2021. The Ford stock she and her husband held in their retirement accounts had been sold off on March 22, 2021, she said.

"As a public servant, I take very seriously the commitment to hold myself to the highest ethical standards, and I regret the accidental omission of my spouse’s interest in Ford," Granholm added in the letter. "This is a commitment I made to you, the President, and most importantly the American people."

"My spouse and I have double-checked our financial assets, and there are no other reportable assets that were omitted from my financial disclosure report," she concluded.

In response to the letter, Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Ranking Member John Barrasso, R-Wyo., criticized Granholm.

"Secretary Granholm lied to the committee about her family’s stock holdings," Barrasso said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "This comes after her failure to follow basic ethics and disclosure rules. This is a troubling pattern. It is unacceptable."

Granholm noted that all of her transactions listed in the letter would be disclosed on a Public Financial Disclosure Periodic Transaction Report in July.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, an Energy Department spokesperson said Granholm remained committed to "the highest ethical standards."

"The Secretary takes the commitment to uphold the highest ethical standards very seriously, which is why, upon realizing a comment made in error, the Secretary moved quickly to divest non-conflicting assets along with an asset held by her spouse of which she was previously unaware," the spokesperson said.

"The letter submitted to Congress clarifying the record underscores the Secretary’s commitment to transparency and to leading a DOE that puts the interests of the American people above all else."

E&E News first reported the letter.

⁣Hasidic Jewish students charged in NYC synagogue tunnel digging scoff at plea offer: ‘Rather go to prison’

The Hasidic Jewish students who dug a secret tunnel under a Brooklyn synagogue said they’d rather go to prison than face a ban from the historic temple — as they rebuffed plea deals from prosecutors Thursday.

Nearly all of the 13 young men charged over the infamous hideout — which went viral when it was discovered in January — scoffed at the offer from the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office that would see them barred from the historic Crown Heights temple for three years.

“Being banned from 770 [Eastern Parkway] for three years is worse than jail,” one of the defendants, Yaakov Rothchild, told The Post in Hebrew through a translator, referring to the headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement.

Rothchild could face up to seven years behind bars on felony charges of second-degree criminal mischief if he takes his chances at trial.

He and 12 of his co-defendants — who face obstruction of justice charges — could be headed to trial in January if they fail to come to an agreement with prosecutors.

Rothchild’s attorney, Jonathan Fink, called the suggestion of a Jan. 13, 2025 trial “silly,” noting the magnitude of the cases, which charges the renegades — including rabbinical students — of hiding inside a hole in a wall they’d damaged and refusing to get out despite police orders, according to court documents.

Fink also shot down the deal on the table, saying it had “no chance” of being accepted, during a hearing in Brooklyn Supreme Court Thursday.

The agreement would have most defendants pleading down to fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, in exchange for no jail time. They would instead face a three year ban from the house of worship and either 20 days of community service or $5,000 in restitution.

Assistant District Attorney Frank Longobardi argued the ban was necessary, noting the defendants were caught posing with a sign that said “Expand 770” — a reference to the tunnel-digging at the synagogue — at their arraignments in April.

“It’s our concern, for that reason, that they’ve shown that they’re not going to stop doing that,” Longobardi said. “When this case is over, they’re going to do the same thing.”

Judge Adam Perlmutter acknowledged that both sides were at a stalemate, and wondered if the terms of the restraining order sought by prosecutors could be tailored to allow the students access to the synagogue.

But if any more tunnel-digging occurred, the defendants would be charged with criminal contempt and face jail, the judge warned.

“[If] somebody does so much as lifts a toothpick towards demolishing cement or whatever in that facility, that individual could very well face a year on Rikers, a year of incarceration,” Perlmutter said.

Only one defendant — Menachem Molekandov, who lives in Israel — is considering taking the prosecution’s deal, according to his attorney Levi Huebner.

Molekandov appeared virtually to plead guilty but there was a holdup on what type of community work he would do since the judge wants it to be “meaningful” service done outside of religious organizations.

When the judge reminded him that he must remain away from the synagogue, Molekandov, who has a warrant out for his arrest, reassured him that he wouldn’t go back.

“Your honor, I just want you to know — since I’m unable to go to the United States, there’s no way for me to dig any tunnels,” Molekandov said.

Chabad-Lubavitch, referred to as 770, is considered one of most sacred buildings in the Big Apple.

Sources have said that the group of rebels used shovels to dig a secret excavation under the house or worship beginning during the pandemic because higher-ups were slow to expand the synagogue’s sanctuary.

They first gained entry into a deserted Jewish man’s ritual bath on Kingston Avenue and then busted through a 2-by-2-foot metal gate in the former bath’s basement before digging their way under a sanctuary space used by women next door to the synagogue.

The wannabe miners also attempted to stop cement-truck workers from filling their excavation sites earlier this year in an effort to protect it when cops were called. Prosecutors said Thursday that the cement had since been filled.

The melee outside of the synagogue, that broke out when the students allegedly refused police orders to scram, was caught on video and quickly went viral.

The synagogue is a popular place for students to study the teaching of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, aka the “Rebbe,” who called on expanding the building before his death in 1994.

For Yerachmiel Blumenfeld, another defendant in the case, the synagogue is the “House of Rebbe” that isn’t just any regular temple.

“It’s a very important place where we learn, pray and connect with our leader. This is a very meaningful thing for us,” Blumenfeld said. “This particular synagogue has a bigger meaning to us than going to another synagogue.”
