⁣A Washington County man is facing multiple charges after investigators say he tried to kidnap a child at a Walmart in Cornelius, Ore., in December.

The alleged incident happened on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at the Walmart Supercenter located in the 200 block of N. Adair St.

Authorities from multiple agencies responded to the store after a 911 caller reported that a man, armed with a knife, had attempted to take her child from their stroller inside the store.

The child’s father stopped the man from grabbing the child, but was injured during the altercation, according to Washington County Sheriff’s investigators. However, during that struggle, authorities say the suspect dropped his knife.

⁣History
Created by Aaron Springer, the pilot episode first aired on June 3, 2006 at 12:30 AM (EST) on Adult Swim. On June 18, 2006, Adult Swim ran a bumper announcing Korgoth was officially picked up as a series. However, it was dropped before production began.

Setting
The show was set in a post-apocalyptic world where sorcery and the remnants of technology exist simultaneously. Korgoth was prone to humorous amounts of violence, tying in with his Viking heritage.

Plot
Korgoth is infected with a deadly parasite by Gog-Ma-Gogg, and extorted to steal an item known as "The Golden Goblin of the Fourth Age" from the wizard Specules, whom Gog believes to have recently died. Korgoth journeys with a group of Gog-Ma-Gogg's henchmen to Specules' castle, picking up a girl and killing several things along the way.

The group reaches the castle, considerably smaller than when it had left, and begin to plunder it. As Korgoth searches for the Golden Goblin, Specules returns, explaining that he was on vacation. Specules uses his magic to kill or incapacitate all but Korgoth, who proves largely immune to the ridiculous creatures the wizard conjures. As a last resort, Specules uses his magic directly against Korgoth; however, he is knocked off-balance and accidentally kills Korgoth's girl. Angered, Korgoth takes a two-pronged candle stick holder and impales Specules through the eyes, only to find that the wizard has magically transferred his head onto the dead girl's body. Specules proceeds to fly out the window.

Korgoth returns to Gog-Ma-Gogg with the Golden Goblin (a simple modern-age novelty item) and gets the elixir for the deadly parasite, though the elixir takes many seasons to take effect. He is last seen walking away, pulling a cart full of medicine bottles.

If public health officials and messengers had paid more attention to the tactics and tropes of the antivaccine movement, including its central conspiracy theory, maybe they would have been more prepared for the onslaught of antivaccine misinformation that was unleashed as the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines were undergoing clinical trials and when they were finally initially approved under an emergency use authorization (EUA) near the end of 2020. They didn’t, and here we are, which is why, having seen it before multiple times last year, I’m faced with the return of the revenge of the antivaccine lie that mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines “permanently alter your DNA” (they don’t, nor do they “hack the software of life“, nor are they really “gene therapy“) this time from Jessica Rose, who is affiliated with James Lyons-Weiler‘s antivaccine “institute” with the humble name of Institute for Pure and Applied Knowledge (IPAK). MEANING of the 13th Amendment

The “missing” 13th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States reads as follows:

“If any citizen of the United States shall accept, claim, receive, or retain any title of nobility or honour, or shall without the consent of Congress, accept and retain any present, pension, office, or emolument of any kind whatever, from any emperor, king, prince, or foreign power, such person shall cease to be a citizen of the United States, and shall be incapable of holding any office of trust or profit under them, or either of them.”

At the first reading, the meaning of this 13th Amendment (also called the “title of nobility” Amendment) seems obscure; unimportant. The references to “nobility,” “honour,” “emperor,” “king,” and “prince,” lead us to dismiss this Amendment as a petty post-revolution act of spite directed against the British monarchy. The U.S. modern world of Lady Di and Prince Charles, make anti-royalist sentiments seem so archaic and quaint, that the Amendment can be ignored.

Not so. Consider some evidence of its historical significance: First, “titles of nobility” were prohibited in both Article VI of the Articles of Confederation (1777) and in Article I, Sections 9 and 10 of the Constitution of the United States (1787);

Second, although already prohibited by the Constitution, an additional “title of nobility” amendment was proposed in 1789, again in 1810, and according to Dodge, finally ratified in 1819. Clearly, the founding fathers saw such a serious threat in “titles of nobility” and “honors” that anyone receiving them would forfeit their citizenship. Since the government prohibited “titles of nobility” several times over four decades, and went through the amending process (even though “titles of nobility” were already prohibited by the Constitution), it’s obvious that the Amendment carried much more significance for our founding fathers than is readily apparent today.

#paramedic #ambulance #firstaid #emergency #hospital #nurse if someone has been stabbed and the knife is still in place, DO NOT REMOVE IT! Pulling it out could cause severe bleeding and more damage. Instead, follow this method to stabilize the wound until help arrives:

1⃣ Take a SAM splint and cut a piece about 25 cm (10 inches) long.
2⃣ Cover the sharp edges with duct tape for safety.
3⃣ Cut along the long edge every inch (to the middle), fold the flaps upward, and roll it into a circular shape.
4⃣ Place this stabilizing ring over the knife and secure it with duct tape to keep it from moving.

This prevents unnecessary movement and buys time for emergency care. 🚑 Always call emergency services immediately!
