⁣Michael Cohen Ridiculed on His Own Livestream: Mocked for Ditching Commitment to Flee America if Trump Won

President-elect Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, was trolled on social media for backpedaling on his promise to leave the country if his ex-boss won re-election.

The hilarity unfolded Thursday during Cohen's livestream on TikTok, as Trump supporters ridiculed the disbarred lawyer by repeatedly placing animated graphics on his head as he spoke.

TikTok enables viewers to interact with streamers in real-time by applying funny filters and other effects.

The pranking caused Cohen to get visibly angry and frustrated whenever a viewer put a virtual turkey, pompadour or cowboy hat on his head.

"I don't like the stupid turkeys. Let's just knock that stupid s*** off, please," he pleaded.

"I said I was leaving, and then the following day ... I turned around, and I said that there's no chance in the world that I'm leaving my country," the disgraced attorney said.

A hostile Cohen defiantly underscored: "I'm not leaving anyway. You leave. This is my country. And I have every right -- every single right -- within which ...

He then stopped mid-sentence as he grew increasingly flustered by the comical pestering.

To be clear, putting an animated turkey on someone's head isn't the biggest smackdown one could deliver online.

But Cohen's shrill tantrum over the gentle ribbing made the incident absolutely hilarious.

"Ok this is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time," one X user wrote.

Others agreed, saying watching Cohen -- who testified against Trump in a sham civil fraud lawsuit last year -- get humiliated on his own livestream was delicious.

As it is, Cohen is no stranger to social media trolling.

The day before the election, he mocked Trump supporters by gleefully predicting that Trump would lose and the MAGA movement would die.

In his snarky X post, Cohen shared a morbid graphic of a red baseball cap that said "RIP" placed on top of a "MAGA" tombstone.

In September, Cohen vowed to flee the United States and change his name if the billionaire won the election.

“I’m out of here. I mean, I’m already working on a foreign passport with a completely different name," he told MSNBC on Sept. 24.

Obviously, he had no intention of keeping that promise, despite making it on live TV.

In addition to being a liar, Cohen admitted to being a thief who had embezzled money from the Trump Organization while serving as Trump’s attorney from 2006 to 2018.

In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges, including tax evasion, campaign-finance violations and making false statements to a financial institution.

He served a three-year jail term, and when he got out in 2021, became a virulent anti-Trumper who did everything he could to derail the billionaire's re-election bid.

Now that Trump has won the election and Cohen has been exposed as a traitorous rat, it's fitting that he occasionally gets trolled on social media. As the saying goes: Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Two employees have died following an explosion at a Louisville, Kentucky, factory that also blew out windows in nearby homes and businesses, the company said Wednesday.

The explosion occurred Tuesday afternoon at Givaudan Sense Colour, which produces colorings for food and drinks. Firefighters rescued and evacuated many people from the building, including some with life-threatening injuries, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg said in a statement Tuesday night.

Sister station WLKY reported that part of the building collapsed.

Sources initially told WLKY that people were "missing and trapped inside," but the mayor said around 4:30 p.m. that everyone was accounted for.

They did say one person who was trapped was rescued.

University of Louisville Hospital said they had seven of 12 patients who were taken to hospitals. Two of them were listed as being in critical condition and five were listed as stable. Givaudan did not specify if the two critical patients at UofL Hospital were the ones who died.

It's unclear where the other patients are.

A Miami school has discouraged teachers from getting the Covid vaccine, saying any vaccinated employees will be barred from interacting with students.

Centner Academy leadership cited debunked claims of non-vaccinated people being "negatively impacted" by contact with vaccinated people.

Experts say there is no evidence for such theories. US health officials have said the jabs are safe and effective.

Some 141 million Americans have received the Covid-19 vaccine to date.

The Centner Academy, a fee-paying school, is located in Miami's Design District. Annual tuition begins at $15,160 (£10,898) for pre-school students and goes up to nearly $30,000 for middle school students, who are around 13-15 years old.

Co-founder Leila Centner informed parents on Monday that, when possible, the academy's policy is to not employ anyone who has received a Covid-19 vaccine at this time, CBS Miami reported.

In a letter last week to staff, first reported by the New York Times, Mrs Centner said teachers must notify the school if they had already received the jab.

"We cannot allow recently vaccinated people to be near our students until more information is known," Mrs Centner wrote.

Teachers who wait to get vaccinated after the school year ends will be allowed to return only when clinical trials on the vaccine are completed, assuming a position at the school is still available.

Mrs Centner also repeated a false claim of vaccinated individuals affecting unvaccinated people, saying three women in the school's community had their menstrual cycles "impacted after having spent time with a vaccinated person".

There is no scientific evidence for these claims. None of the coronavirus vaccines approved for emergency in the US have been linked to infertility, miscarriages or any other negative changes to women's reproductive health.

Mrs Centner and her husband David Centner have described themselves as "health freedom advocates", providing guidance for parents at the Centner Academy to file for exemptions from vaccine requirements in the past.

Mrs Centner has frequently shared anti-vaccine content on Facebook, according to the Times.

In a response to questions from US media, a representative for Mrs Centner said that the school was not "100 percent sure that Covid injections are safe and there are too many unknown variables for us to feel comfortable at this current time".

The United Teachers of Dade, a local not-for-profit teachers group, said in a statement to CBS News: "We are horrified by the unsafe conditions and labour violations that colleagues at schools such as this one have to endure due to lack of union representation and contract rights."

• Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo (2024) - Part of the decision to overturn Chevron deference established in 1984. This case directly impacts how courts view agency authority in interpreting statutes, which would include health-related statutes like the PREP Act.

Although this case does not directly amend or rule on the PREP Act itself, what’s important is that it sets the legal framework within which the PREP Act's implementation and challenges could be adjudicated.

The overturning of Chevron deference, in particular, will lead to a FLOOD in litigation questioning agency interpretations of the PREP Act, which I am 100% certain will change how its immunity provisions are enforced or challenged in court.

It’s not a matter of if anymore… it’s a matter of when…
