THE Moon landings between 1969 and 1972 never took place and were staged by the US intelligence community, a controversial filmmaker has claimed.

Bart Sibrel claims he has proof the CIA orchestrated the famous Apollo 11 moon landing – and believes no one has ever stepped on the lunar surface because it is too dangerous.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Sibrel reckons mankind would have set up bases by now if it was possible to travel to the moon.

And he believes the historic event took place in a film set and the crew were actors given instructions by the CIA through ear pieces.

Rockets designed in the 1960s, according to Sibrel, were unable to exit the Earth's orbit and would never be able to resist a deadly radiation belt en route to the Moon.

Yet the manned Apollo 11 lunar landing on July 20, 1969, is regarded as one of humanity's greatest achievements.

Millions worldwide remember where they were the moment Neil Armstrong declared: "It's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

But Sibrel claims it is all a sham.

The filmmaker has been on a mission since the age of 24 to prove the landings were a major cover-up.

Sibrel said he has obtained raw, unedited footage from NASA – that was never released to the public – that features radio conversation between crew and a third confidential party that prompts the astronauts with what to say and when to speak.

Sibrel, who directed the film A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon, says: "I consider it not a theory, I consider it a fact.

"For the first three years making the movie, I was under the idea it might not be true.

"Then I obtained an outtakes reel."

In the footage, a voice says "talk" before Armstrong relays back to Mission Control in Houston – Nasa's headquarters.

Sibrel believes this is a third-party voice – he assumes from a CIA agent – prompting Armstrong to speak and what to say.

The 51-year-old said the idea of man setting foot on The Moon is "absurd" and said they were used to force the public's gaze away from the Vietnam War.

"If it was so easy in 1969, there would be bases on the moon by now", he added.

"(Christopher) Columbus sailed to the new world and it is absurd to say they could do something that cannot be completed today.

"They (the public) cannot see it clearly because it's a religious event to them.

"I once spoke to a college professor and asked him if it was revealed Neil Armstrong didn't step foot on the moon, would they believe it? He said he would still think it was real."

Sibrel cites the studies of aerospace engineer Wernher von Braun as another reason why humanity has yet to make it to the Moon successfully.

He said the Van Allen Belt – 272 miles from Earth – is impenetrable due to its high levels of radiation and a space rocket capable of reaching the Moon would need to be the size of the Empire State Building and weigh the same as the Queen Mary cruise liner.

Sibrel also claims the Moon is hit by mega micro meteorite storms every 48 hours capable of killing astronauts instantly and damaging space craft.

While Sibrel is adamant he has proof the landings are a hoax, he said his family has endured death threats and he took no enjoyment from researching the topic.

He added: "George Orwell said 'who controls the past controls the future'.

"Hopefully the truth will come out.

"Woodrow Wilson was the US president in the 1920s and he said there was a shadow government above him pulling the strings.

"I am going to put it all behind me. I've not enjoyed this process in the slightest.

"I got kicked out of church, I got unfriended by many people because of what I believe, that the Moon landings are fake.

"It's been an interesting experience but so be it.

"A lot of times in history people are doing what's right – for a price."

Sibrel is not the only one who believes the Moon landings were a hoax.

Vladimir Markin, the spokesman for the Russian government's investigative committee, called for an inquiry into the event after original Nasa footage went missing.

ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — After an earth-shaking blast in an Arlington neighborhood Monday night, police officials are giving a clearer picture of the sequence of events leading to the explosion that happened hours after officers first made contact with the suspect.

Officers were first called to the home on N. Burlington Street around 4:45 p.m. after being made aware of flares being fired into the sky.

The suspect has since been identified as 56-year-old James Yoo.

"A male suspect discharged a flare-type gun from the residence more than 30 times. Officers attempted to engage with the suspect without success. A search warrant was ultimately obtained to allow our officers to secure any weapons to ensure there would be no ongoing threat to the community," said Arlington County Police Chief Andy Penn.

7News obtained video of those late afternoon flares from Sarah Wilhoite, who saw this happen with her roommate.

"We were talking about how odd that was, and how unsafe it was," Wilhoite said.

Officers agreed. They left and returned with body armor and a warrant to seize weapons Yoo may have had. Other neighbors heard the commotion from officers trying to bring Yoo into custody.

"You can just hear the police say, 'We're not leaving until you come out, James,'" said Sam Kim, who lives near the explosion.

In the hours after that initial 4:45 p.m. call, officers worked on getting Yoo out of the house.

However, the situation quickly escalated.

"At this point, officers experienced what is believed to be multiple gunshots from a firearm coming from within the dwelling," Penn said. "As the suspect began discharging several rounds from a suspected firearm inside the house, officers could not locate the source of the suspected gunfire or its intended target. Officers began to deploy non-flammable, less-lethal chemical munitions to multiple areas within the residence where the suspect was believed to be hiding."

At some point, fire officials said the gas to the home was cut off and the situation reached a point when fire crews evacuated neighboring homes around 7 p.m.

"The fire department personnel absolutely saved lives. In anticipation of what could happen and, unfortunately, what did happen, the fire department personnel evacuated neighboring residents. The evacuation of the neighbors saved lives," said Arlington County Fire Assistant Chief Jason Jenkins.

And for those not close enough to warrant an evacuation, they were asked to shelter in place.

"When we tried walking a little closer, the officer on duty asked us to go back inside," said Brendan With, who lives near the explosion.

Just moments later, around 8:25 p.m., the explosion leveled the home, damaging ten other homes.

Police officials said Yoo was inside the home at the time of the explosion, and they have found human remains. They are still waiting for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to identify the body they found, but they are presuming Yoo died in the blast.

For neighbors nearby, the explosion physically and emotionally shook them to their core.

"I'm just thinking I heard a bomb go off," With said. "I just hear a boom. Power goes out, the house shakes."

Kim added: "The glass was actually coming in our direction. Me and my housemate fell back a little because of the wave."

The timeline may actually begin well before Monday's explosion.

"We are aware of concerning social media posts allegedly made by the suspect, and these will be reviewed as part of the ongoing criminal investigation," Penn said.

FBI's David Sundberg added: "The individual Chief Penn referenced had previously communicated with the FBI via phone calls, online tips, and letters over a number of years. I would characterize these communications as, primarily, complaints about alleged frauds he believed were perpetrated against him."

With the gas cut off before the explosion, detectives are still investigating what caused such a big blast.

Neighbors said they have even more questions.

"With social media, you hear all of the stories, and I don't know if everything is true or not. I've been following that. There's still questions," With said.

The overall media consensus has been to blame the intended murder victims for recklessly provoking the terrorists. By this bizarre logic, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Selma marchers should be condemned for instigating the melee on the Edmund Pettus bridge. Same for the three murdered civil-rights workers in Mississippi, the victims of Bull Connor’s police dogs, and anyone else who has taken a stand that might irritate violence-prone people.

For the mainstream media and chattering classes, dumping on peaceful, law-abiding Christians is good, safe sport. But pointing the finger of blame at murderous Muslim fanatics? Well, let’s not get carried away. Rather than draw the ire of radical Muslims by firmly and unequivocally condemning the attack, the infotainment industry has concentrated its attention on the provocative nature of the draw-Mohammed contest. After all, like a drunken, immodestly dressed rape victim, weren’t the draw-Mohammed contestants just asking for it?

Better to question the wisdom of cartoonists exercising their rights than to acknowledge and vigorously confront and expose the elephant in the room, i.e., that there is a disturbingly large number of radical Muslims in this country who oppose our Constitution and who believe that murder is an appropriate sanction for those who offend Islam. That, of course, is the real story behind the attack in Texas. While antisemitism has been on the rise in the U.S. for years, it has skyrocketed since the terrorist attack on Israel launched by Hamas on October 7, 2023. In the three months following the October 7 attack, the ADL found there had been a 360 percent increase in antisemitic attacks in the U.S. as compared to the same period the year before. This bipartisan legislation would take comprehensive action to strengthen efforts to combat antisemitism in America, including by establishing a first-ever National Coordinator to Counter Antisemitism, who would oversee federal efforts to counter domestic antisemitism and lead an interagency task force to implement the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism and future government strategies.
“Antisemitism has no place in our country,” said Congressman Fitzpatrick. “I am alarmed by the rising acts and incidences of antisemitism and hate across our nation. As a Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Taskforce for Combatting Antisemitism, I am proud to join this bipartisan and bicameral effort to make sure that our federal government is doing everything we can to protect our Jewish communities.”
“The threat of antisemitic violent extremism has grown massively since Hamas’ atrocity spree on October 7, and the annual threat assessment from the FBI and other security agencies will focus attention on the dangers of antisemitic violence across the United States, including in my own congressional district,” said Congressman Chris Smith, who authored the law that created the international Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. “The National Coordinator will oversee an Interagency Task Force to Counter Antisemitism—with a responsibility to report to Congress—and the bill strongly states that the federal government should apply the IHRA definition of antisemitism. Additionally, provisions on the Department of Education should help break through bottlenecks and roadblocks to countering antisemitic discrimination in higher education. I’ll work hard to pass this bill—and then to conduct oversight to ensure that it’s correctly and vigorously implemented by the Executive Branch.”
