Marco Arturo starts off by saying, "We've all been lied to by doctors and pharmaceutical companies about vaccines, and after a lot of research, I realized that vaccines do and will cause autism." Are you up in arms yet? He continues:

Actually, I gathered every single document I found and put it in this folder right here. Every single bit of evidence there is in the observable universe that vaccines do cause autism is inside of this folder, and I will go page by page, reading and explaining everything I've got in here because it's a lot of information.

He proceeds to open up the folder only to find — absolutely nothing. There's only sheet after sheet of blank paper.

The 12-year-old Mexican scientist looks skeptical for a moment, then says, exasperated, "I think it might be because there is absolutely no evidence to support the statement that vaccines are linked to autism in any way whatsoever." I mean, have you met a sassier kid? Specifically, a kid who gets sassy about science? Bill Nye, watch your back.

Not only does Arturo have personality, but he's got the facts down. "Smallpox was eradicated thanks to vaccines!" he says. "And you might think, 'It's my child, it's my choice.' Okay, I agree. It's your choice if you want to expose your child to deadly diseases, but you know, it's not just your child. It's basically everyone else's child. It's also everyone else's child you're putting in danger because you read some forwarded email."

Sassy, but he's right: vaccines are far more effective than leaving your child unvaccinated, but they're not perfect, either. The mumps vaccine is 88 percent effective, according to Wired, while the vaccines for measles are 97 percent effective. Take, for example, when parents don't vaccinate their children against measles, which is incredibly easy to spread: by infecting a now-larger, unvaccinated population, measles can more easily reach the vulnerable 3 percent of the vaccinated population whose vaccines weren't effective. According to Wired, once vaccination levels drop below 90 to 95 percent of the population, it can spur outbreaks, since not enough people are vaccinated to keep the disease from spreading.

"So, please," Arturo ends his video, before dropping a piece of paper with "mic" written on it. "Vaccinate your children." It's super shareworthy — not only to spread the word about vaccination, but to encourage kids to make a difference in STEM, just like Arturo has.

Families with children find themselves caught in the middle. Drag Queen Story Hour pitches itself as a family-friendly event to promote reading, tolerance, and inclusion. “In spaces like this,” the organization’s website reads, “kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where everyone can be their authentic selves.” But many parents, even if reluctant to say it publicly, have an instinctual distrust of adult men in women’s clothing dancing and exploring sexual themes with their children.

These concerns are justified. But to mount an effective opposition, one must first understand the sexual politics behind the glitter, sequins, and heels. This requires a working knowledge of an extensive history, from the origin of the first “queen of drag” in the late nineteenth century to the development of academic queer theory, which provides the intellectual foundation for the modern drag-for-kids movement.

The drag queen might appear as a comic figure, but he carries an utterly serious message: the deconstruction of sex, the reconstruction of child sexuality, and the subversion of middle-class family life. The ideology that drives this movement was born in the sex dungeons of San Francisco and incubated in the academy. It is now being transmitted, with official state support, in a number of public libraries and schools across the United States. ICE placed a detainer on Alvarez after he was charged, according to WCVB 5, a Boston-based outlet.

Authorities have been unable to locate Alvarez since Sullivan granted the bail despite ICE’s detainer, the Boston Herald reported. ICE agents were seeking to take Alvarez into custody when he was released, according to the Herald.

The former Executive Director of the Carroll County Mental Health Advocates who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from the private non-profit over at least a two-year period – will not serve any jail time – following her “guilty” plea deal accepted in a Carroll County courtroom on Tuesday.

In January of 2024… about a month after Jodie Goodman was recognized as ‘Woman of The Year’ by the Carroll County Women Business Alliance – the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office began investigating allegations that Goodman had been misusing funds from the program. She was terminated from her position by the mental health advocates board of directors soon after.

The district attorney’s office on Tuesday said they are aware that “a theft occurred at least 150 times during a two-year period.”

The plea deal provides that thefts Goodman committed in 2022 would be considered one charge of theft by taking; a second charge of theft by taking would encompass the thefts committed in 2023.

Goodman had transferred CCMHA funding to debit cards – which she spent on personal items and gifts. She is alleged to have spent the non-profit’s funds on spray tans, nail salons, waxing, massages, gift cards, makeup, personal Amazon delivered to her home, DoorDash, food, and alcohol.

Goodman receives 30 years-probation (15 years per count). Goodman can see her probation time lessened significantly if she meets certain standards after 3 years.

Goodman is ordered to pay back more than $21k in restitution.

Goodman’s counsel – Villa Rica based attorney Mac Pilgrim spoke to WLBB Radio Tuesday evening. He said he believes that the deal agreed to by the prosecution, the defense and the judge in which Goodman avoids jail time – is typical of cases for clients accused of stealing similar amounts of funding – and having no history of theft or violence.

“In thefts of this nature, of this amount, generally speaking – unless the client has a particular history of theft or violence – probation sentences are common because the reason for probation sentences most times is that to make the victim whole. In this case – the county and the taxpayers, which I’m one, I live here and I pay taxes as well – is to make the victim whole and by paying back the $21 ,000 the county will be made financially whole for my client.

This has been a very, very hard time in her life. She has had, as I mentioned in court, she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She had been diagnosed with manic episodes. This has taken its toll on her, on her husband, on her family, on both of her children, both of whom were school-aged. And she is just now coming out of her manic state. She’s coming out of her very depressed state.

She admitted she did it. She never denied it. So I think people should get credit for coming forward and saying, yes, I did what you said I did, yes, I am guilty, and accepting the responsibility of that. So I think in that regard, this was, in fact, a fair plea.

I know there’s a lot of people – I’ve already seen some social media on this station’s Facebook page that people think differently of that, and they have a right to do that. However, I believe that this was, in fact, a fair plea, and I think it was fair to both sides. And the county will be made economically whole, which hopefully is what we want as a people – I think – is that we are not taken advantage of or made whole, and that’s going to happen. So I’m happy with it.”

The court revealed on Tuesday that Goodman’s family has already collected approximately 1-thousand dollars that would go towards the 21-thousand dollars required for restitution in this case.

Judge W. Travis Sakrison ruled that Goodman’s offenses would not fall under the First Offender Act… after hearing the victim-impact-statement presented by the victimized non-profit’s current chairman of the board.

'We have heard from customers that we have disappointed them,' the company noted.

Tractor Supply Company issued a statement announcing that it will stop sharing data with the Human Rights Campaign; nix diversity, equity, and inclusion positions; and ditch its carbon emissions goals. The Human Rights Campaign is a pro-LGBT advocacy group.

In the statement, the company listed five points, declaring that it will:

"No longer submit data to the Human Rights Campaign"
"Refocus our Team Member Engagement Groups on mentoring, networking and supporting the business,"
"Further focus on rural America priorities including ag education, animal welfare, veteran causes and being a good neighbor and stop sponsoring nonbusiness activities like pride festivals and voting campaign"
"Eliminate DEI roles and retire our current DEI goals while still ensuring a respectful environment,"
"Withdraw our carbon emission goals and focus on our land and water conservation efforts"

BlazeTV host Lauren Chen summed up the development in a tweet, noting, "Tractor Supply is basically DISAVOWING wokeness."

'This response will have major ripple effects across corporate America...'

Robby Starbuck had called Tractor Supply out for promoting wokeness and urged people to respectfully reach out to the company to register their displeasure.

And Tractor Supply's statement on Thursday appears to indicate that the company, which describes itself as "the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States," faced public pressure to change course.

"This is a great victory for sanity in corporate America and the single most successful boycott of our lifetime," Starbuck told Blaze News in a statement.

"Our 3 week campaign of reporting proved that we can make change happen and that we can enter a new era where the customer is king again instead of the woke bankers at Blackrock. Now every company has to wonder who will be exposed next. If Tractor Supply truly makes these changes then I look forward to visiting my local store again so we can encourage similar behavior from other companies. Our eyes are on the prize to end wokeness and restore sanity… This was a great first step."
