On Sunday, anti-ICE agitators stormed a church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, believing the pastor was working for the immigration agency.

Thus, in Richmond Newspapers v. Virginia, a plurality of the Court referred to the Amendment as a sort of constitutional ‘saving clause,’ which, among other things, would serve to foreclose application to the Bill of Rights of the maxim that the affirmation of particular rights implies a negation of those not expressly defined.5

A defendant has attacked a judge during a felony battery case, dragging her to the floor and sparking a brawl involving court officials and attorneys, officials and witnesses have said.

In a violent scene captured on courtroom video on Wednesday, Deobra Delone Redden jumped over a defence table and the judge’s bench, knocking the Clark county district judge Mary Kay Holthus from her seat and against a wall then pulled her to the floor. She sustained some injuries but was not sent to the hospital, courthouse officials said.

A courtroom marshal was also injured as he came to the judge’s aid and was hospitalised for treatment to a gash on his forehead and a dislocated shoulder, according to the officials and witnesses.

The attack occurred at about 11am (local time) at the Regional Justice Center in Las Vegas.

Redden, 30, was wrestled to the floor behind the judge’s bench by several court and jail officers and courtroom staff members.

He was arrested and jailed at the Clark county detention centre, where records showed he faces several new felony charges, including battery on a protected person, referring to the judge and court officers.

“It happened so fast it was hard to know what to do,” said Richard Scow, the chief county district attorney who prosecuted Redden on a case that stemmed from an arrest last year over allegations that Redden attacked a person with a baseball bat.

Redden’s defence attorney, Caesar Almase, did not respond to requests for comment.

Redden was not in custody when he arrived at court on Wednesday. He wore a white shirt and dark pants as he stood next to Almase, asking the judge for leniency while describing himself as “a person who never stops trying to do the right thing no matter how hard it is”.

“I’m not a rebellious person,” he told the judge, later adding that he did not think he should be sent to prison. “But if it’s appropriate for you then you have to do what you have to do.”

As the judge made it clear she intended to send him to prison, and the court marshal moved to handcuff him, Redden yelled expletives and charged forward amid screams from members of the public in the courtroom.

Records showed Redden, a Las Vegas resident, was evaluated and found mentally competent to stand trial before pleading guilty in November to a reduced charge of attempted battery causing substantial bodily harm. He had previously served prison time in Nevada on a domestic battery conviction, state records show.

Holthus, a career prosecutor with more than 27 years of court experience, was elected to the state court bench in 2018 and again in 2022.

In a statement, the court spokesperson Mary Ann Price said officials were “reviewing all our protocols and will do whatever is necessary to protect the judiciary, the public and our employees”.

Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s relationship had an interesting run. The two started as one of the biggest music stars in the industry, until the two collaborated, shocking the world. In an unexpected twist of faith, the two even went to an employer-employee relationship that lasts even today.
Paul McCartney shared his thoughts on Michael Jackson buying The Beatles’ Catalog in an interview with Howard Stern back in 2001. The whole studio watched in amazement as Macca entered the room; it felt as great that something as huge of a rockstar as his become that day’s guest for the Howard Stern Show.
Stern go directly to the point, asking if it’s true that he’s the one who introduced Michael Jackson in the world of music publishing. It turns out, the “irony” of the situation would be Jackson buying the entire Beatles catalog, making him the boss of all the legendary songs created by the Fab Four.
McCartney first started to explain that the two had a “good little relationship,” where Michael first rang up to him and grabbed the opportunity to create songs. When Michael asked the musician if he could give some “advice” in music, Macca introduced him to the idea of going in the business of music publishing.
McCartney further explained: “I thought he [Jackson] was joking [when] he said, ‘Oh I’m gonna get yours.’ Well, I went ‘no, [laughing] slap you in the back, good one!’ I thought that was a joke.” It all came to him when someone rung him up and said that Jackson did buy the entire catalog of the Beatles.
Surprisingly, Macca didn’t mind that Jackson bought it, but what he didn’t like was the how the “Thriller” singer didn’t respond to him around the time he asked him for a raise. “[I] wrote him a couple of letters, saying: ‘Michael, don’t you think, even if I was just a writer on the payroll, after 30 years of being reasonably successful for this company you now own; don’t you think I could have a raise?’ he said, ‘Oh Paul, that’s just business.’”

A Georgia mother was arrested for allegedly encouraging her seven-year-old daughter to steal a woman's purse. The Newnan Police Department said that 28-year-old Kenya Butler was at The Juicy Crab with her daughter when she saw a woman's purse unattended in a booth.
Authorities said that Butler allegedly told her daughter to grab the purse. Her daughter snatched the purse, and then they left the restaurant along with others in their group, skipping out on a $500 bill.
Investigators credited the public for helping to identify Butler from surveillance camera footage recorded at the restaurant. They are still trying to identify a man who they believe was responsible for the $500 bill.
The man has tattoos on both of his arms and is seen leaving the restaurant wearing a white shirt that says, "Fake love, rich sex."
Butler was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and theft by taking. She was released from prison after posting a $2,300 bond.
Butler's daughter is not in any trouble for stealing the purse.
