Politicians, influencers and rank and file members of the MAGA movement have already fully rejected that Virginia Giuffre, an Epstein accuser, died by suicide.

Instead, several have baselessly posited that Giuffre was killed by the same people who wanted to keep Jeffrey Epstein quiet about illicit activities on the disgraced financier's private island.

They are also furious with Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel for not releasing all the Epstein files in the government's possession, believing that their exposure may have saved Giuffre's life.

Giuffre's family, who has not addressed the conspiracy theories, has explained that her death on Friday came as the result of the crippling trauma she faced for nearly her entire life.

'There are no words that can express the grave loss we feel today with the passing of our sweet Virginia,' the family's statement reads.

'She was heroic and will always be remembered for her incredible courage and loving spirit. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.

'We know that she is with the angels.'

However, the family weighing in on Giuffre's manner of death did not stop people from theorizing on social media.

Laura Loomer, a MAGA devotee and close ally to President Donald Trump, pointed to the car crash Giuffre was in on March 24 as evidence of a conspiracy against her.

'I don’t believe Virginia Giuffre committed suicide. Just like I don’t believe Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. First she gets in a car crash, now they say she killed herself? Sounds like someone wanted her dead,' Loomer wrote on X.

The accident Giuffre was in with a school bus was described as 'minor' by the Western Australia Police, who also said no one suffered injuries.

Yet days later, Giuffre posted a picture of herself in the hospital to Instagram. The photograph showed discoloration to her face and chest, which has been described as severe bruising.

She wildly claimed she had 'four days to live' because of the bus crash and that she had kidney failure.

Her family said she had been on painkillers when she posted to Instagram and believed she was writing on a private social media page.

Weeks later, Giuffre publicly accused her husband, Robert, of domestic violence, which raised questions about why she had been in the hospital.

Robert, who has not been charged with any crime, has not spoken out on the allegations.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican congresswoman from Georgia, addressed Giuffre's death but did not mention the car crash or the domestic abuse allegations.

In an Instagram post, the lawmaker said Giuffre died by 'suicide,' intentionally putting the word in quotes to cast doubt. She added that the 'truth needs to come out more matter who is responsible.'

Bolstering Loomer's and Greene's idea of foul play surrounding the 41-year-old mother-of-three's death is a post from Giuffre on Twitter, now X, in December 2019 where she said she wasn't suicidal.

She wrote, 'I am making it publicy (sic) known that in no way, shape or form am I sucidal (sic). I have made this known to my therapist and GP.

'If something happens to me- in the sake of my family do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me quiteted (sic),' she concluded.

This post was originally made just four months after Epstein himself was found dead in his New York jail cell, apparently by hanging himself, while awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking charges.

She reposted conservative influencer Benny Johnson's post sharing how Giuffre had previously said she wasn't suicidal and wrote: 'This gave me goosebumps.'

But it was regular MAGA-aligned citizens who appeared to be the most upset at what happened to Giuffre, who claimed Epstein and his confidant Ghislaine Maxwell sex trafficked her to powerful men, including Prince Andrew.

⁣Francesca Gino was a tenured professor at Harvard Business School, who was making more than $1 million a year in 2020.

She had her tenure revoked and was terminated by the Harvard Corporation after a graduate student - Zoé Ziani - accused Gino of falsifying data for her research findings.

The student was initially told not to criticize Gino - however Ziani contacted Data Colada, a blog run by behavioral scientists and told them about what she found.

They discovered that Gino falsified data in four studies from 2012–2020, they then shared their findings with Harvard.

In 2024 Science Magazine reported Gino had plagiarized text in a book chapter titled “Dishonesty Explained: What Leads Moral People to Act Immorally” saying she stole work from 10 sources.

Harvard's subsequent investigation produced a 1,282-page report concluding that Gino “committed research misconduct intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly” across all four studies.

On the flip side Gino claimed it was due to errors or sabotage

This is the latest controversy to hit Harvard after the University's morgue manager was arrested, along with his wife, for stealing and selling body parts.

⁣Did the CIA declassify a 1957 file in 1999 that proves true the theories about the hidden history of an advanced global civilization, the Tartarian Empire? No, that's not true: The CIA document "National Cultural Development Under Communism" contains mention of "Tatars of Transcaucasia" and "the history of Tartaria," along with a Communist directive to revise that history to "eliminate references to Great Russian aggressions." But the document does not validate the recently emerged pseudohistory of a Tartarian Empire. The CIA file details how a 1917 promise by the Bolsheviks to many Muslim ethnic groups of Russia (that their beliefs and customs would be "free and inviolate") was not honored by the Communists in the decades that followed. Tartary (or Tartaria) is not the name of a country. It was a name given to Central Asia and Siberia. The "Tartarian Empire" is a baseless conspiracy theory that only began to gain traction in 2018.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) in the Facebook group Tartaria on April 17, 2024. It was captioned:

The body of the post is a screenshot from the June 1957 document called "National Cultural Development Under Communism" or CIA-RDP78-02771R000200090002-6. This is hosted in the CIA reading room as a PDF of the original typewritten 1957 document, or in the Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room in a searchable electronic CREST format. The portion appearing in the Facebook post is page 9, or page 10 in the PDF. The highlighted portion of text in the screenshot reads:

For example, on 9 August 1944, the Central Committee of the Communist Party, sitting in Moscow, issued a directive ordering the party's Tartar Provincial Committee 'to proceed to a scientific revision of the history of Tartaria, to liquidate serious shortcomings and mistakes of a nationalistic character committed by indi- vidual writers and historians in dealing with Tartar history.' In other words, Tartar history was to be rewritten

This excerpt is presented to the audience. but severed from two different contexts, from the context of the declassified CIA document, as well as from its relevance as a key piece of commonly circulated documentation associated with the baseless Tartarian Empire conspiracy.
The CIA document begins with a quote:

Muslims of Russia, Tatars of the Volga and the Crimea, Kirghiz and Sarts of Siberia and Turkestan, Turks and Tatars of Transcaucasia, Chechens and Mountain Peoples of the Caucasus, and all you whose mosques and prayer houses have been destroyed, whose beliefs and customs have been trampled upon by the Tsars and the oppressors of Russia. Henceforth your beliefs and customs, your national and cultural institutions are forever free and inviolate. Organize your national life in complete freedom. This is your right.

Thus read in part a proclamation issued on 7 December 1917 by the Bolsheviks over the signatures of Lenin and Stalin, addressed to 'All Muslim toilers of Russia and the East.'

The document then lists examples of how the Communists did not keep earlier promises but attacked Islamic religious practice. On page 9 (the highlighted text of the Facebook post) an August 9, 1944, directive from the Central Committee of the Communist Party to the Tartar Provincial Committee says:

to proceed to a scientific revision of the history of Tartaria, to liquidate serious shortcomings and mistakes of a nationalistic character committed by indi- vidual writers and historians in dealing with Tartar history.

Directly below this (not highlighted in the Facebook post) the paragraph continues:

And this was no isolated case. In every Muslim area within the USSR, historians, on orders of the Communist Party, have rewritten history to distort the facts so that the Russians appear always in a good light. Needless to say, histories which present the facts truthfully have been withdrawn and destroyed, so that the present and future generations of Muslims are forever denied the chance of learning the true facts of their nations' past.

The highlighted screenshot is offered to the Tartaria Facebook group as if this CIA document was just discovered by the poster who was "doing some digging." However, this exact paragraph was included in a seminal post on April 17, 2018 (archived here), by @KorbenDallas, an administrator of the stolenhistory.org forums. In this post he drafted the details of this new conspiracy theory -- a coverup that he described:

The official history is hiding a major world power which existed as late as the 19th century. Tartary was a country with its own flag, its own government and its own place on the map. Its territory was huge, but somehow quietly incorporated into Russia, and some other countries. This country you can find on the maps predating the second half of the 19th century.

On October 5, 2020, the Russian Geographical Society published an article, "The Whole Truth About Tartary." Here it explains that Tartaria "is not a specific state, but a kind of mythologized land that has never had precise borders." and finishes by emphasising for the sake of conspiracists:

It is widely known that tick bites can lead to a variety of infectious diseases, but did you know that tick bites can also trigger allergic reactions to red meat? Alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) is an allergic disease triggered by the bite of the lone star tick that can lead to severe hypersensitivity reactions and anaphylaxis in patients following exposure to red meat. In recent years, reports of patients with hypersensitivity reactions following the consumption of red meat have been increasing—but why is that?

Knowledge on how to diagnose AGS remains scarce among medical professionals, and treatment options are limited to allergic symptom management. However, a few helpful tools exist when encountering this illness.

⁣Why Is Alpha-gal Syndrome Becoming More Prevalent?
In the U.S., AGS is triggered by the bite of Ambylomma americanum (a.k.a. the lone star tick), which also carries Ehrlichia rickettsia the causitive agent of ehrlichiosis and Rickettsia spp. the causitive agent of Rocky Mountain spotted fever. The lone star tick is the most human-biting tick in the U.S., and it is endemic to many states. A. americanum has expanded its distribution beyond its original range, now reaching the upper midwestern and northeastern regions of the U.S., as well as extending into eastern Canada. Factors like the changing climate play a pivotal role in the increasing geographic range of A. americanum and lead to a growing number of tick bites and associated diseases. Rising temperatures do not only contribute to the ongoing expansion of certain tick species into new geographical areas, but also lengthen their active seasons. This extension may result in changes to host availability, vector numbers, interactions among vectors, and it may alter the prevalence of infections within tick populations.


Outside of the U.S., other tick species have been linked to the development of alpha-gal syndrome and provide increased opportunity for spread. Other species that may be involved with the development of AGS include Ixodes ricinus (Europe), Ixodes holocyclus (Australia), Ixodes cajennense, Ixodes nipponensis, Amblyomma sculptum, Amblyomma variegatum and Haemaphysalis longicornis.

Alpha-gal Pathogenesis
Patients with red meat allergy produce specific IgE antibodies to carbohydrate galactose-α-1,3-galactose (alpha-gal), a carbohydrate found in most mammalian cell membranes. IgE (Immunoglobulin E) antibody production is a response of the immune system to certain allergens. When an individual is exposed to an allergen, which can include foods, dust, pollen and other substances, IgE antibodies specific to that allergen may be produced through the interaction of specific immune cells. Those IgE antibodies then bind to receptors on immune cells, leading to primary sensitization. In the case of AGS, it seems like primary sensitization happens through the tick's saliva. Subsequent exposure to an allergen may then lead to the release of various chemicals, such as histamine or prostaglandins, into surrounding tissues, which causes allergic symptoms. Likewise, patients with AGS experience symptoms after new exposure to the allergenic molecule when eating red meat.

Although, in recent years, reports of AGS are increasing, and research on this topic is of growing interest, alpha-gal is not new. The carbohydrate has been a long-known obstacle for the transplantation of porcine organs into humans. It causes complex biological reactions that activate the complement system, a complex cascade of proteins that act in a coordinated manner to protect the host from pathogens. Ultimately this response results in the destruction of the transplanted organ. Hypersensitivity to alpha-gal is also well described after treatment of patients with therapeutics containing the carbohydrate, for example the monoclonal antibody Cetuximab, which is used to treat advanced bowel cancer and head and neck cancers.

The Role of Tick Saliva in Transmission of AGS and Other Tick-Borne Diseases
Tick saliva is a composition of several hundred molecules, possessing functionalities that extend beyond the simple facilitation of pathogen transfer. Notably, infectious agents, such as bacteria and viruses etc., actively exploit these salivary components to aid disease transmission. Evidence indicates that tick saliva exhibits immunomodulatory properties, suggesting a pivotal role in regulating the complex dynamics inherent to host responses.

Regarding AGS, certain variables have yet to be discerned, as not all individuals exposed to alpha-gal-containing tick saliva subsequently acquire a red meat allergy. Notably, research indicates that ticks engorged with human blood exhibit a considerably heightened production of alpha-gal within their salivary glands compared to those feeding on other mammalian hosts. One study showed significant variability in alpha-gal levels among individual ticks and across diverse geographical locations. This heterogeneity may contribute to the understanding of why not all who are exposed to tick saliva develop AGS. The study also mentioned a noteworthy increase in alpha-gal concentrations within tick salivary glands throughout the duration of the blood meal. While the details of this process remain incompletely understood, the timely removal of ticks during their early feeding stages may potentially mitigate the risk of alpha-gal syndrome. Further investigations are imperative to completely understand the mechanisms at play in primary sensitization and the development of AGS.

Alpha-gal Symptoms
Clinical signs of red meat allergy may range from skin manifestations, such as hives, and abdominal symptoms, like nausea, vomiting, cramps and diarrhea. More severe symptoms may include shortness of breath, swelling of the airways and death.


Symptoms commonly start 3-6 hours after the consumption of red meat, such as pork, beef, lamb and other types of mammalian meats. This late onset is different from other food allergies, where symptoms usually start within the first hour of consumption. In fact, in many cases, after primary sensitization, years of consuming red meat pass before patients experience clinical symptoms.

Alpha-gal Diagnosis
Currently, the most reliable laboratory test for diagnosing AGS is serological testing for alpha-gal-specific IgE antibodies via ImmunoCAP assay. Diagnosis is more likely when positive sIgE (specific IgE antibodies to a certain allergen) antibody levels exceed ≥2 IU/ml or >2% of the patients total IgE level. The total IgE reflects more of a general marker that may be elevated in the case of various immune-related conditions. It is important to mention that the presence of alpha-gal-specific IgE antibodies do not necessarily diagnose the clinical syndrome, though it may be helpful for clinicians to know which patients could possibly develop AGS in the future.
When diagnosing AGS, it is important to consider multiple factors, including clinical presentation, indicative serological results (alpha-gal-specific antibodies, total IgE levels) and risk factors, like tick exposure and geography. It is also important to mention that only a small percentage of patients develop red meat allergy, despite the fact that hundreds of thousands of people get bitten by lone star ticks and may become sensitized to alpha-gal every year.

Alpha-gal Syndrome Treatment and Management


Alpha-gal syndrome is an allergy to mammalian meat.


It is possible to treat allergic symptoms, however there are no direct treatment options available for AGS. Patients with known AGS are advised to carry self-injectable epinephrine and antihistamines. A vital part of AGS management is educating patients on the importance of avoiding additional tick bites because continuous exposure may increase IgE titers to alpha-gal, whereas avoiding being bitten may decrease them over time.

Patients who have this allergy should avoid consuming mammalian products, which can be difficult, as it is not always obvious which products contain mammalian meat. Alpha-gal-carrying proteins can even be found in mammalian milk, and alpha-gal-specific IgE antibodies may recognize alpha-gal in dairy products. While most patients do not experience reactions to dairy products, a small group of affected AGS patients (<10%) receive the suggestion to exclude dairy products from their diets to reduce the risk of allergic reaction.

There have also been reports of AGS patients having allergic reactions after consuming gelatin or tuna contaminated with dolphin meat. Furthermore, patients with AGS should avoid treatment with medication derived from mammals, including monoclonal antibodies, or gelatin-containing medications. Valve replacement with bovine or porcine heart valves may also trigger hypersensitivity reactions and lead to faster decay of the valve. One way around this issue may be to use pig donors in whom the alpha-gal gene has been removed (i.e., alpha-gal knock out pigs).

Still, those who experience an alpha-gal allergy frequently experience symptoms months or even years after cutting out red meat, and while some reach a condition comparable to remission, the symptoms may resurface following new tick bites. For many people, AGS appears to be a long-lasting illness with a severe impact on mental health.

Yet, research shows that a large number of medical professionals in the U.S. are unaware of AGS, and among the health care providers who are familiar with the disease, knowledge about how to diagnose and treat it is limited. Red meat allergy is a topic of ongoing research, and many questions remain unanswered, however progress has been made in recent years to better understand AGS.

In an era of ongoing climatic changes, medical practitioners may have to transcend the boundaries of their regional knowledge pertinent to vector borne diseases in order to better diagnose and treat affected patients.Climate change will necessitate a collaborative vector control and prevention plan. ASM held a Congressional briefing, entitled "The Evolving Threat of Vector Borne Diseases and Harnessing Science to Address It," in July 2022 to advocate for strong federal funding for research and public health efforts to better understand how to address these disease threats.

On Monday, the chairman and ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to the acting director of the Bureau of Prisons, Hugh Hurwitz, demanding answers about how Mr. Epstein could have been unsupervised long enough to take his own life.

The letter said Mr. Epstein’s apparent suicide had brought to light “severe miscarriages” or deficiencies in how inmates are managed at the jail and had “allowed the deceased to ultimately evade facing justice.”

It was signed by Representatives Jerrold Nadler, a New York Democrat, and Doug Collins, a Georgia Republican.

Mr. Nadler and Mr. Collins demanded that the Bureau of Prisons hand over by Aug. 21 any details about Mr. Epstein’s mental health evaluations and his housing, as well as the bureau’s protocols for handling inmates considered at risk of suicide.

They also requested to be told how Mr. Epstein was being monitored and what the surveillance cameras may have recorded in or near Mr. Epstein’s cell.

At the same time, Senator Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, urged Mr. Barr on Tuesday to rip up an agreement federal prosecutors in Florida had reached with Mr. Epstein in 2008 that shielded not only him, but also any other co-conspirators who may have helped him lure teenage girls into prostitution.

“This crooked deal cannot stand,” Mr. Sasse said in his letter.
