A Miami school has discouraged teachers from getting the Covid vaccine, saying any vaccinated employees will be barred from interacting with students.

Centner Academy leadership cited debunked claims of non-vaccinated people being "negatively impacted" by contact with vaccinated people.

Experts say there is no evidence for such theories. US health officials have said the jabs are safe and effective.

Some 141 million Americans have received the Covid-19 vaccine to date.

The Centner Academy, a fee-paying school, is located in Miami's Design District. Annual tuition begins at $15,160 (£10,898) for pre-school students and goes up to nearly $30,000 for middle school students, who are around 13-15 years old.

Co-founder Leila Centner informed parents on Monday that, when possible, the academy's policy is to not employ anyone who has received a Covid-19 vaccine at this time, CBS Miami reported.

In a letter last week to staff, first reported by the New York Times, Mrs Centner said teachers must notify the school if they had already received the jab.

"We cannot allow recently vaccinated people to be near our students until more information is known," Mrs Centner wrote.

Teachers who wait to get vaccinated after the school year ends will be allowed to return only when clinical trials on the vaccine are completed, assuming a position at the school is still available.

Mrs Centner also repeated a false claim of vaccinated individuals affecting unvaccinated people, saying three women in the school's community had their menstrual cycles "impacted after having spent time with a vaccinated person".

There is no scientific evidence for these claims. None of the coronavirus vaccines approved for emergency in the US have been linked to infertility, miscarriages or any other negative changes to women's reproductive health.

Mrs Centner and her husband David Centner have described themselves as "health freedom advocates", providing guidance for parents at the Centner Academy to file for exemptions from vaccine requirements in the past.

Mrs Centner has frequently shared anti-vaccine content on Facebook, according to the Times.

In a response to questions from US media, a representative for Mrs Centner said that the school was not "100 percent sure that Covid injections are safe and there are too many unknown variables for us to feel comfortable at this current time".

The United Teachers of Dade, a local not-for-profit teachers group, said in a statement to CBS News: "We are horrified by the unsafe conditions and labour violations that colleagues at schools such as this one have to endure due to lack of union representation and contract rights."

road to a bus stop and pay for the bus to take me back to the transit

September 11th - Cover For A COUP D'ETAT?

Let's bring up an interesting point here, now that people are all aghast from Shillary's comments on Friday...I'd really like some discussion of this:

Black people were being hosed down like dirty sidewalks for years...and then, all of a sudden, someone shoots Martin Luther King, Jr., and his "killer" is given a 99-year sentence.

Can I be the ONLY INDIVIDUAL who finds this to be...WEIRD?!?

"Niggers" were hanging like pinatas all over the South...and no one really batted an eye...so what made this particular "nigger" so different?

I'm using that vulgarity to illustrate my earlier point: do you think that it was a COINCIDENCE that in the years of outrage against Black men, this one was actually afforded some modicum of "justice"? Why did he rate?

This was an obfuscation - in 1999, it was proven that a REAL CONSPIRACY existed in the murder of MLK, so his murder just HAPPENED to correspond with the first-ever (to my knowledge - please update me, if you've any info) conviction of a non-Black individual in the murder of a Black man.

He had played a clip from Ray Larson, Grand Dragon of the KKK, where he practically guarantees that a "Southerner" will assassinate Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, should he gain the nomination.

Considering how there was a "security lapse" during one of his campaign rallies, where agents were instructed to "stop their search for guns" should be cause for concern...

...or do you think that was a COINCIDENCE?

Bill Gates Just Released The Math Formula That Will Solve Climate Change

Bill Gates is betting personal billions on investing in clean energy. And now the world's richest man is putting his mouth where his money is.

He devoted his half of the annual letter from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation -- a yearly barometer of his philanthropic focus, either in terms of how or where he’s deploying money and attention -- to climate change. More specifically, the need for a clean, renewable energy source.

“I’m amazed how little we spend there compared with defense research, medical research,” Gates tells Forbes.

Especially when the stakes are so big. Gates directed this year’s letter toward high school students, complete with personal details including his early affinity for Superman comic books, his bad grades in middle school and his love of Cocoa Puffs cereal. (Melinda Gates, who focused the second half of the letter on gender equality, prefers Wheat Chex). He punctuates his letter with a simple mathematical equation he concocted that underscores the need for what he calls an “energy miracle”.

It’s a neat little formula because it drives home the point: that for all the Paris climate talks and more affordable Teslas, environmental incrementalism is somewhat pointless. In the equation, P = population; S = services used by people; E= the energy needed to power those services; and C equals the carbon dioxide created by that energy. Population is of course trending ever-higher, as are the services people demand, especially in the developing world which has barely scratched the surface in terms of cars and air conditioning and other modern basics. Those two factors swamp progress in energy efficiency. Gates points out that scientists are calling for an 80 percent drop in carbon emissions by 2050 (and a total end by 2100) to stave off the most dramatic effects of climate change, yet even with more efficiency, the growth in population and services means that emissions will instead jump by 50%.
