Introduction

This essay's first drafts, written in 1998, began with a several page chemistry narrative that presented some chemistry concepts. The original chemistry prelude was designed to help the reader understand the nature of fluoride, why it is used in industry how it is, why it is a waste product of certain industrial processes, and lays the groundwork for understanding why it was so important in the nuclear industry. Early readers felt that it was too much technical information for the lay audience, particularly to begin their reading experience. That prelude is now an addendum to this essay. Reading the prelude is not imperative for understanding this essay, but might make some issues clearer.

In short, fluorine is the most reactive element known to science ("reactive" means its affinity to bonding with other elements).[1] In nature, fluorine is found bonded to other elements, never found by itself, and is rarely found in its ionic state. The industrial processes of the 19th century created the most toxic pollutants that humanity had seen to that time. Taking ore from the earth and removing the metal, especially in aluminum refining, created hazardous waste.

In its ionic state, fluorine is highly toxic. Fluorine bonded to metallic ore in the earth was liberated during the refining process and is difficult-to-impossible to safely dispose. The aluminum refining industry was the biggest and most influential fluoride polluter around 1930, and in America only one company was in the aluminum business: ALCOA.

Fluorine is also useful for producing artificial chemicals such as Teflon and Freon, because of its unique properties. Those unique properties also made fluorine indispensable for refining uranium to extract its most radioactive isotope, which made the nuclear age possible.

Compulsory Fluoridation: An Industrial Tale

The increasing industrialization of the late 19th and 20th centuries saw an explosion in aluminum use. Aluminum is a ubiquitous substance in industrialized societies. It is everywhere, from electrical wiring to food and beverage cans to cookware to automobiles to airplanes. As the Industrial Revolution was hitting its stride in the early 20th century, aluminum refiners had a major problem with the fluorides attending aluminum production: they are deadly poisons. Fluorine once safely bound with aluminum, copper, and iron in Earth’s crust was reintroduced into the environment in its ionic state. Fluorides were not only being buried in the ground and put into the water, they were also being released into the air by industrial processes. Fluoride pollution was a major industrial problem.

Because it holds its electrons more tightly than any other element, fluorine forms the smallest negatively charged ion of any element, and that small size allows fluorine ions to go where larger ions of other elements cannot. Also, when introduced to the stomach, more than a third of ingested fluoride is converted to hydrofluoric acid, which is highly toxic.[2] In the early 21st century, it became increasingly evident that even at low doses, such as around the level that artificial fluoridation provides, the fluorine ion damages cellular structures and mechanisms, from respiration to metabolism to gene expression to enzyme functioning.[3] Perhaps most importantly, sufficient cellular damage initiates programmed cell death, known as apoptosis.

The family of a 6-year-old North Port boy who died after being attacked by the family dog is requesting that the pit bull mix be euthanized.

According to WBBH, the 3-year-old dog attacked 6-year-old Daylan Guillen.

Ring camera video reportedly showed the moment neighbors rushed to help the boy.

Guillen was rushed to the hospital but the injuries to his torso were so severe, he was pronounced dead the next day.

North Port police said the agency is not aware of any previous incidents involving the dog.

“He was just a really sweet, happy-go-lucky kid. Loved to play baseball. Didn’t care if he ran out on the field with the big kids or little kids," she said.

The dog will be held for 10 days and then euthanized, per the request of the owners.

Two high-profile Box Elder County officials—former Tremonton Fire Department Chief Ned Brady Hansen and First District Justice Court Judge Kevin Christensen—are now behind bars, facing a slew of felony charges tied to the sexual exploitation of children.

Hansen, who was first arrested in January on suspicion of child sex crimes, had been released on bail—thanks to a questionable ruling by none other than Judge Christensen.

Now, new evidence uncovered by the FBI has led to Hansen’s rearrest on March 11, 2025, and has blown the lid off a sickening relationship between the two men.

Christensen, 64, was arrested on March 6 and faces six felony counts, including attempted exploitation of a minor, enticing a minor, and dealing in materials harmful to a minor, The Herald Journal reported.

Hansen, meanwhile, was slapped with eight felony counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor on March 10.

Court documents paint a horrifying picture of the duo’s alleged crimes. Using the shady internet app KIK, Hansen and Christensen reportedly traded vile fantasies about sexually abusing and exploiting children, even bragging about meeting “in real life” to engage in sexual acts with each other.

Charging documents reveal they discussed targeting children in their own families—proof, if any was needed, of the depths of their moral rot.

The FBI affidavit, penned by Agent Jason Merrill, alleges the pair’s chats were a cesspool of depravity, filled with plans to commit unspeakable acts against the most vulnerable among us.

What’s worse, Christensen—acting as judge in Hansen’s initial case—ignored law enforcement’s pleas to keep the fire chief locked up without bail after his January arrest.

Instead, he let Hansen walk free, a decision authorities now say was tainted by their secret, perverse connection. “Despite the request of law enforcement to hold defendant Hansen without bail, Christensen released the defendant from custody on bail,” Agent Merrill wrote.

“Christensen did not disclose that he had engaged in sexually charged chats regarding children with Defendant Hansen.”

This wasn’t justice—it was a cover-up, plain and simple.

While searching Hansen’s electronic devices, investigators found multiple chats with another person, which was discovered to be Kevin Robert Christensen, 64, a Box Elder County judge.

According to court documents, Hansen and Christensen spoke about how they could sexually abuse children, including extended family members of one of the men.

Eventually, the two discussed meeting up in person and engaged in a sexual relationship, documents stated.

The severe problem that the author of the book has is his frustration at not having studied medicine. It is evident because probably 30% of the book is dedicated to discrediting medical schools in general and doctors in particular for not having knowledge of the topics covered in his book. What the book's author fails to realize is that much of the research he mentions has been done by medical researchers. I also realize that many of the topics that he mentions have no scientific support or are referred to very few works, in some cases only one, and from there he builds his theories.
It is evident that ferroptosis is a fundamental issue in medicine and managing the issue therapeutically is essential the book is dedicated to that, but the author should have been a little more respectful of medicine because I would ask him in the event of a medical emergency who would deal with a colleague of the author specialized in the protocol that he himself created or would go to a hospital ward ???
On the other hand, human biology is terribly complex, and to consider that he discovered the holy grail of the cause of all diseases seems a bit arrogant of him.
I do not want to say with this that the subject matter in the book is unworthy, quite the contrary, it is excellent... but the arrogance of the author is very annoying.
As you have noticed Mr. Robbins, I am a doctor and very interested in all the ways in my power to improve people's quality of life, that's why I bought your book. This will simplify your understanding of why we get sick and what to do about it. A comment on here that the author is arrogant is rubbish. Praising a Pharma driven business that is now our medical system that doesn’t even try to cure is absurd. The medical system has been a dismal failure, abandoning any desire to get to the root of our illness and instead referring and depending to pharmaceuticals to manage symptoms, not curing us and making us clients for life. Seems a waste of a medical education and the time it takes, to become drug prescribers and run endless tests too often leaving patients in worse shape than they started. The same drugs create other problems that need more drugs and pile on. Drugs should be a temporary solution while we are put on a path to healing, but this is not the case with modern medicine. What they do very well and excel at is emergency medicine, often times outstanding.They should put their money and resources into that to expand those services because this is where they succeed. This book gives you an understanding of what you can do to take charge of your health. Highly recommend.
