Oct 8, 2022 - The Kerch bridge from Russia to Crimea has been hit by a huge explosion

Images from the bridge showed a fiercely burning fire engulfing at least two railway carriages from a train on the bridge, accompanied by a vast column of black smoke, and one half of the parallel road bridge collapsed into the Kerch Strait.
The explosion, which witnesses said could be heard miles away, took place before 6am on Saturday while a train was crossing the bridge. Russian officials said a car bomb was to blame

Watch the other CCTV videos doing the rounds. One taken from the railway bridge shows the moments just prior to the explosion. I watched it frame by frame and could clearly see the bow of a small boat coming into view as the kerrbooom happened.

2nd cmt: The boat (some sort of speed boat) was small but obviously packed with explosives. It was adjacent to a pylon which explains why 2 sections of one of the road ways were lifted and the one directly over the boat collapsed when coming back down.

The adjacent roadway has been damaged, but probably is still serviceable.

I could not see the whole boat so cannot say if anyone was aboard.

The train was going back to Russia so was presumably empty so only burnt and did not explode. Many of the tanks did not explode. I suspect it because any remaining fuel on board ran into the sea, while if it was on land, the burning fuel would travel under the next tank, cooking it to the point of explosion.

Some steel work has buckled under the heat, but mostly hand rails etc. I suspect the rails will be warped, but quickly replaceable. The main structure will probably be OK (under war conditions where standards not so rigorous).

Conclusion? A boat attacked the road bridge and something else (rocket from a drone?) attacked the train soon after.

Result - one road way smashed, the other side damaged to an unknown extent. And one railway span damaged, but probably still serviceable.

A spectacular slap in Putins face and a huge loss in logistics esp ability to send fuel to the western theaters (Kherson and Crimea) safely out of HIMAR range.

The future? I hope not an escalation to nukes, but logistics just got a whole lot harder for the Russians.

The second roadway and railway would still be operable.

A convicted sex offender bled to death after he was found with his genitalia cut off on a disused industrial estate.

An inquest heard today that Reginald Alan Roach was found "unresponsive" by a dog walker and died after sustaining "wounds" to his genitalia. Roach, 63, was found on the Bryn Cegin industrial estate in Bangor, North Wales on Sunday, November 6.

Kate Sutherland, acting senior coroner for north west Wales, opened the hearing today into the death of Roach. Dr Brian Rodgers carried out a post mortem examination on the deceased, who lived at the Ty Newydd bail hostel in Bangor.

Mrs Sutherland gave the provisional cause of death as "shock and haemorrhaging due to incised wounds removing genitalia". The acting senior coroner adjourned the hearing to a later date pending the result of further investigations.

Roach had a court appearance listed at Llandudno Magistrates Court on October 31, about a week before his death, when he faced a charge of failing to comply with notification requirements in relation to the sex offenders register at Caernarfon Police Station on September 13, 2022.

NorthWalesLive reported he was expected to enter a plea that day. In August Roach admitted exposing himself at a Travelodge Hotel. In 2020 he also admitted destroying a poppy memorial the day after Remembrance Sunday the year before.

Residents feel placement of “supervised consumption services”, where drug addicts are allowed to consume crack cocaine and crystal meth, attracts to much crime to their surrounding areas and would be a safety issue for the community and the cities plan lacks any details about them.

● 13% of the open-ended comments expressed opposition to the District General Policy’s direction.

They'll run and get the shot that puts the mark IN, NOT ON, the right hand or forehead. And with DNA tech a shot to the arm can do that.

2. The unbelieving - Practically all the religions have a God theme but it is going to be best to be in one of the Abrahamic faiths. That's Christianity, Islam, Jew. And the Jews are going to have trouble. But I also would not be surprised if some of the other religions qualify even though they don't quote Abrahamic scripture, I doubt God is going to trash them just because of cultural circumstance. The question might be: Do you believe in God, and are you good or bad.

3. The abominable - This is obviously gay, trans, animal, satanism, pornographers, molesters and other things pointless to mention that don't fall in a specific category but are bad by any standard, not just cultural standard.

4. Murderers - let's be clear here - having a spirit compass so small that you'd actually draw a bead on someone and pull the trigger just because CNN said you should qualifies as murder, there are many accounts of highly spiritual people who had to fight wars seeing demons running all over the battle field and immediately taking those who killed someone and subsequently got killed straight to hell. War does not qualify unless it is on your turf and you are being attacked and actually defending your family directly. You have a right to self defense obviously but at this point I think I'd be shooting feet so they live, not blowing brains out to boot, just to stay out of a gray area. Obviously you don't go to foreign shores and kill people, even via remote. Never support a war, even if it is not you doing the killing.

The bible does not say "those who tricked others into being abominable will be fine because they were not partaking in those abominations. "All liars" means ALL. It came up in the very first Q&A session of the conference. A University of Chicago freshman and a senior editor of the campus’s right-wing publication (tagline: “Outthink the mob”) asked my colleague Anne Applebaum whether “the media acted inappropriately when they instantly dismissed Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation.” The student was unsatisfied with Applebaum’s answer—that she didn’t think the laptop qualified as a major news story, disinformation or no—and later appeared on Fox News to say so. His tweet about the exchange, which incorrectly stated that Appelebaum had failed to answer the question, went viral. This kicked off a vitriolic and widespread campaign against Applebaum from the right, pushed by influencers including Jack Posobiec, Mike Cernovich, and multiple Fox News hosts; she was subjected to weeks of personal threats.

The laptop came up again the next day, first thing in the morning. A panel discussion titled “Politics as Usual or an Insidious Attack on Our Democracy?” took its premise from a November 2021 column by Ben Smith, then of The New York Times, in which he used the Biden laptop story to demonstrate how confusing the conversation about misinformation and disinformation had become. In dealing with the laptop, reporters were understandably wary of repeating the mistakes made regarding the WikiLeaks hack-and-dump operation before the 2016 election, which led to over-coverage of the Hillary Clinton email scandal, which was ultimately inconsequential. That’s why many of them dismissed the story, or labeled it a new front in the information war. But many presidential election cycles have unearthed confusing, scandalous revelations requiring investigative journalism to verify or debunk them, Smith argued. Labeling this a problem of the social-media age, and focusing on mis- or disinformation as phenomena that can be corrected, hidden, or blocked at the platform level, is “a technocratic solution to a problem that’s as much about politics as technology,” he wrote. He reiterated much of this during the panel, saying that the laptop story had been mishandled by reporters and, “most disturbingly,” by social-media companies.

I heard this opinion repeatedly in casual conversations and from the speakers onstage. Jonah Goldberg, the editor in chief of The Dispatch, argued during the panel that the “disinformation” label can backfire by feeding into the idea that the “powers that be” are forbidding people from looking at information that they consider illegitimate. He illustrated his point with Biden’s laptop too. Twitter and Facebook treated it like disinformation before the truth could be determined. “Whether you think that was smart in the heat of the moment or not, [it] has backfired enormously,” he said. “Because now it seems like it was all conspiratorial.”

You folks might want to look at Federick Taylor and "Scientific Management". This guy created an efficiency in business movement which eventually became called "Taylorism". He employed Time and Motion studies and sought to shave seconds off of various operations in terms of the actions of workers. Laywer Louis Brendeis coined the term "Scientific Management" to describe the phenomenon. This would have been very popular around 1900 or into 1910. This could help explain how Ford viewed factory processes.

We look back at one infamous moment in John McCain’s career when he was recorded on tape singing an ‘alternative’ version of the Beach Boys classic “Barbara Ann.”
Early on in his 2008 presidential campaign, then-Republican contender Senator John McCain of Arizona joked about bombing Iran. He sang an alternative version, “Bomb bomb bomb Iran”, of a Beach Boys classic; a move that would haunt him on the campaign trail, but what really happened?

During a campaign appearance in April 2007 in the town of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, McCain was asked by an audience member about any possible U.S. attack over Tehran’s suspected nuclear weapons program.

The United States and others had accused Tehran of seeking nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran had denied. While U.S. officials had refused to take the military option off of the table, they said there were no plans to attack Iran and they would pursue a diplomatic solution.

“How many times do we have to prove that these people are blowing up people now, never mind if they get a nuclear weapon. When do we send them an airmail message to Tehran?” a man in the crowd asked.

John McCain sings “Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran”
In response, McCain said, “That old, eh, that old Beach Boys song, Bomb Iran,” which ignited laughter from the crowd. McCain then chuckled before briefly singing to the tune of the Beach Boys classic “Barbara Ann.”

“Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb… anyway,” McCain sang, with the audience responding with more laughter.

Shortly after, McCain turned serious and said that he agreed with President Bush that the United States must protect Israel from Iran and work to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. McCain had long said that the military option should not be ruled out, but that it should be used only as a last resort.

McCain’s joke was thought to be a reference to an actual parody of the Beach Boys song “Barbara Ann”, called “Bomb Iran.” In 1980, a group called Vince Vance and the Valiants released “Bomb Iran” in response to the 1979 hostage crisis. The lyrics are clearly anti-Muslim, at least by today’s standards. The single was popular and frequently requested on the radio, but also provoked death threats and other altercations against the lead singer.

McCain’s Says ‘Get a Life’ Over Outcry of Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran
When asked about his joke days after the incident, McCain defended it, saying, “Lighten up and get a life.” Asked if his choice of song was insensitive, McCain said (according to the Associated Press), “Insensitive to what? The Iranians?”

McCain’s campaign spokesman Kevin McLaughlin told ABC news that the senator “was just trying to add a little humor to the event.”

Inevitably, there was some backlash. The liberal group MoveOn.org planned to launch an ad against McCain for the “bomb bomb bomb Iran” remark, arguing that the nation “can’t afford another reckless president.” The commercial was set to run on-network as well as some cable television stations in Iowa and New Hampshire, both states that hold early contests in the presidential nomination process.

Reporters continued to bring up the incident, as did McCain’s eventual opponent in the presidential race, then-Democratic nominee Barack Obama.

Iran Responds to McCain’s Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran Scandal
Allegedly, it had little impact on Iran itself. Ali Larijani, Iran’s parliamentary speaker and former chief nuclear negotiator, responded to a reporter’s question about McCain’s remark, in Geneva.

“We don’t have any objection to them singing a song,” Larijani said. He also stated that a real bomb, however, would be “no laughing matter.”

“We are confident that if they make that mistake they will be awakened from their sleep and they will face a nightmare,” Larijani said.

McCain went on to secure the Republican nomination for 2008, but lost the election to Barack Obama.
