PULASKI CO., Va. – The lawsuit filed states that Auston Wingo was attending a daycare at the YMCA in December of 2021 when the 5-year-old was found face down, underwater in the swimming pool before dying at a hospital hours later.

The family of a 6-year-old North Port boy who died after being attacked by the family dog is requesting that the pit bull mix be euthanized.

According to WBBH, the 3-year-old dog attacked 6-year-old Daylan Guillen.

Ring camera video reportedly showed the moment neighbors rushed to help the boy.

Guillen was rushed to the hospital but the injuries to his torso were so severe, he was pronounced dead the next day.

North Port police said the agency is not aware of any previous incidents involving the dog.

“He was just a really sweet, happy-go-lucky kid. Loved to play baseball. Didn’t care if he ran out on the field with the big kids or little kids," she said.

The dog will be held for 10 days and then euthanized, per the request of the owners.

O’Brien said the family is “always very embracive of everybody else, making sure that everybody has what they need. Always cheering on the other kids on the team whether it’s their kid that is the player or another kid.”
