Trespass in Structure or Conveyance is typically charged as a second
degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to 60 days in jail. However, if a
person is present in the structure where the trespass occurs, then
trespass is considered a first degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1

810.08 Trespass in structure or conveyance.—

(1) Whoever, without being authorized, licensed, or invited, willfully
enters or remains in any structure or conveyance, or, having been
authorized, licensed, or invited, is warned by the owner or lessee of
the premises, or by a person authorized by the owner or lessee, to
depart and refuses to do so, commits the offense of trespass in a
structure or conveyance.

(2)(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, trespass in a
structure or conveyance is a misdemeanor of the second degree,
punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.

(b) If there is a human being in the structure or conveyance at the time
the offender trespassed, attempted to trespass, or was in the structure
or conveyance, the trespass in a structure or conveyance is a
misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or
s. 775.083.

(c) If the offender is armed with a firearm or other dangerous weapon,
or arms himself or herself with such while in the structure or
conveyance, the trespass in a structure or conveyance is a felony of the
third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s.
775.084. Any owner or person authorized by the owner may, for
prosecution purposes, take into custody and detain, in a reasonable
manner, for a reasonable length of time, any person when he or she
reasonably believes that a violation of this paragraph has been or is
being committed, and he or she reasonably believes that the person to be
taken into custody and detained has committed or is committing such
violation. In the event a person is taken into custody, a law
enforcement officer shall be called as soon as is practicable after the
person has been taken into custody. The taking into custody and
detention by such person, if done in compliance with the requirements of
this paragraph, shall not render such person criminally or civilly
liable for false arrest, false imprisonment, or unlawful detention.

(3) As used in this section, the term “person authorized” means any
owner or lessee, or his or her agent, or any law enforcement officer
whose department has received written authorization from the owner or
lessee, or his or her agent, to communicate an order to depart the
property in the case of a threat to public safety or welfare.

⁣Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday said she was the “last person in the room” with President Biden when he made the decision to pull all US troops out of Afghanistan.

In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Harris was asked about Biden’s statement that he wanted the VP to be “the last voice in the room,” particularly when making big decisions, like he was when he served as vice president under Barack Obama.

Harris confirmed that was the case regarding the move to withdraw troops from Afghanistan by Sept. 11, the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

“This is a president who has an extraordinary amount of courage,” Harris said regarding the decision, which was announced earlier this month.

“He is someone, who I have seen over and over again, make decisions based on what he truly believes … is the right thing to do.”

Biden “is acutely aware that it may not be politically popular, or advantageous for him personally; it’s really something to see,” Harris added.

“I have seen him over and over again make decisions based exactly on what he believes is right.”

American troops have been in Afghanistan since October 2001, following the 9/11 attacks the previous month.

About 2,500 US troops remain in Afghanistan.

Former President Donald Trump had wanted to withdraw by May 1, but Biden has insisted that deadline would be hard to meet because of “tactical reasons.”

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A small plane carrying two people crashed into a row of townhouses Saturday morning in a neighborhood east of Portland, setting the homes ablaze and leaving at least one resident unaccounted for, authorities said.

Gresham Fire Chief Scott Lewis told reporters at an afternoon briefing that he couldn’t yet say if there were any fatalities, noting that fire crews were working around major structural damage to the townhomes as a result of the crash.

Photos and videos published by KGW-TV in Portland show one of the townhomes engulfed in flames while black smoke poured out of the adjoining houses. Lewis said the fire spread to at least four of the homes, displacing up to six families. He said two people were treated at the scene, but he didn’t describe the type or severity of injuries.

The Federal Aviation Administration identified the aircraft as a twin-engine Cessna 421C, which it says went down around 10:30 a.m. near Troutdale Airport, about a 30-minute drive east of Portland.

As the plane went down, it knocked over a pole and power lines, causing a separate brush fire in a nearby field, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. The plane was split into multiple parts as it crashed in the residential area in the city of Fairview, which is home to about 10,000 people.

Dave himself describes the central thesis of his book Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon: Laurel Canyon, Covert Ops & The Dark Heart of the Hippie Dream this way, “the music and counterculture scene that sprung to life in the 1960s was not the organic, grassroots resistance movement that it is generally perceived to be, but rather a movement that was essentially manufactured and steered. And a scene that was supposed to be all about peace, love and understanding had a very dark, violent underbelly that this book attempts to expose.”

Are you aware that it is against the law in this country (America) for an American to ask if a product comes from Israel? That it is against the law for an American to answer that question, yea or nay? That it is against the law for anyone asked that question not to report the offender to the FBI or Department of Justice? That the penalty for asking, answering or not reporting is up to five years in federal prison and fines equaling five times the cost of the product or $15,000, whichever is higher?

Back in 2003, when this story first broke, the feds had already collected over 26 million dollars in fines from American violators of this law. By now, eight years later, I don’t know how much more they’ve collected under this law, part of the Tax Reform Act of 1976, gifted to us by a senator named Abraham Ribicoff, or to whom they gave the money.

I’m pretty sure you weren’t aware of that law.

You might be aware of a law just passed in Israel in their so-called parliament that requires the punishment of anyone, anywhere, who questions the origin of an Israeli product, or who calls for a boycott of Israel or of anything made in Israel. Punishment not specified, of course. I do know that in 2003, the Mossad made several efforts to kill me, for one thing or another, and came close. You could say I have a dog in this fight, to quote Mel Gibson. I am prejudiced – no question. I really hate the sons of bitches.
