A 40-year-old woman was arrested after police say they found a number of explosives at a Colorado Tesla dealership, the latest incident in a string of apparent protests against Tesla CEO and DOGE leader Elon Musk.

Lucy Grace Nelson was charged with explosives or incendiary devices use, felony criminal mischief and criminal attempt to commit felonies, according to a news release from the Loveland Police Department.

An "extensive investigation" was initiated Jan. 29 after the dealership was vandalized several times, with incendiary devices found at the business, according to authorities.

Police and jail records list Nelson as a female, though the department noted an alias of "Justin Thomas Nelson."

After the alleged initial incident Jan. 29, there were subsequent incidents Feb. 2 and Feb. 7, progressively becoming more severe.

Loveland Police Department Public Information Officer Chris Padgett told Fox News Digital in incidents prior to Nelson's arrest, there were "very offensive messages, derogatory in nature" left at the dealership.

During police surveillance, Nelson was allegedly spotted Monday night with additional incendiary devices, along with materials attributed to vandalism, according to Padgett.

She was arrested without incident, Padgett said.

After being booked into jail, Nelson was issued a $10,000 cash surety bond.

"The Loveland Police Department continues to work closely with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' Denver Field Division with Federal charges likely to follow," according to Loveland Police.

Padgett said the department is not sure if others are involved, but there is no threat to the community.

Indivisible, an organization founded by former Democratic congressional staffers, has been urging liberals to stage demonstrations against Musk, Fox News Digital previously reported.

The activist group published a "tool kit" with protest recommendations, including a section about how to "take the fight to Elon."

It specifically includes steps for planning and executing a demonstration at Tesla dealerships, showrooms and factories.

"Members of the House of Representatives will be back on your home turf from Friday, February 14th, through Sunday, February 23rd, and it’s our opportunity to remind them who they work for," according to the group's website. "Fighting back against the Trump-Musk coup is going to take all of us."

The protests come after the Department of Government Efficiency began slashing spending at various federal agencies at the direction of President Donald Trump,

⁣Letting Girls Learn

Around the world, girls face complex physical, cultural, and financial barriers in accessing education. As a girl grows older the fight to get an education becomes even harder. Her family must be willing to pay school fees. She may have a long, unsafe walk to school. She may be forced to marry. And she often lacks the support she needs to learn.

In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8 of this year, First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama gave a speech to recognize the progress made on the one year anniversary of Let Girls Learn, a U.S. Government initiative to ensure adolescent girls get the education they deserve. In her speech (a portion of the speech is here), she highlights the story of Fiker, an Ethiopian girl who was bold enough to stop an early marriage planned by her parents thanks to support from USAID.

Justice for All-Prison Fellowship Ethiopia (JFA-PFE), initially Prison Fellowship Ethiopia, is a non-profit and non-governmental organization founded in 1992 G.C. out of the abhorrent prison conditions and human rights abuse that were personally experienced by the founders in 1988 when they were incarcerated. From its establishment, JFA-PFE started its work in prison to improve the treatment and livelihood of prisoners. Later on, the organization expanded its operation to embrace the entire justice sector of the country, encompassing all institutions of the justice sector: court, police, prosecutor, and prison administration.

Thus, the JFA-PFE evolved toward promoting human rights, good governance, peace and dialogue, and the rule of law in Ethiopia. Since then, JFA-PFE has become the leading national NGO on the matters of Human Rights, Justice Reform, Conflict Resolution, Peace Building, and the Rule of Law. Some of its recent interventions include the development of the Court Annexed Mediation Manual, Restorative Justice Manual, Case-Flow Management Manual for Courts, Prosecutors Handbook, Police Investigation Manual, Community Policing Manual, Legal Dictionary, Public Complaint Handling Manuals, and so much more. It has also contributed to the development of national policies, including the Criminal Procedure Code, Media Law, Commercial Code, Pardon Law, and many more.

Schools teach girls about rights and harm from illegal practice

August 2015—Student attrition. Extreme poverty. Early pregnancy. Prolonged and obstructed labor leading to fistula. Maternal and child mortality. Marital instability. These are just some of the harmful consequences of child marriage, a practice that undercuts efforts to encourage sustainable development.


Like many developing countries, the practice is widespread in Ethiopia, even though it is unlawful and punishable. This is particularly so in the Amhara Region where the prevalence is among the highest in the world as reflected in a 2010 Population Council study showing that almost 50 percent of girls were married before the age of 15 and some married as early as age 7.


Living in one of the most prevalent early marriage zones of the Amhara Region, Fiker Tenaw could very easily have become part of that 50 percent. Last year, the 13-year-old discovered that her parents were secretly arranging a marriage for her to someone she had never met. She was shocked and upset, but not defenseless.


Fortunately for Fiker, before finding out about her parents’ secret plan, she had learned about the negative impact of early marriage through a USAID activity at her school. The activity works in areas of the Amhara Region where child marriage is the most prevalent to raise awareness and increase communication and coordination between community members, law enforcement officials, religious leaders, and educators to stop this harmful practice.


As a major component of the activity, USAID, in partnership with NGO Justice for All-Prison Fellowship Ethiopia, worked with educators to establish girls’ clubs in targeted schools and provide information to students. It was at the girls’ club at her school where Fiker learned about the harmful consequences of early marriage and her human rights. The students also perform dramas for classmates and parents to help change perceptions about the deeply ingrained practice.


Some students—when they learn that their parents have arranged a marriage for them—want help but are afraid to ask. To address this, one idea introduced by the girls’ clubs is to have “secret boxes” at each school. Any student or teacher who learns about a planned early marriage can place the name of the affected person in the box, and the school will work with parents and local officials to intervene.

Armed with what she learned, Fiker fought back. She reported her soon-to-be marriage to the girls’ club at her school and also went to the police. With their support, Fiker refused to accept the early marriage. Instead, she chose to prioritize her education, saying, “I want to benefit my family and myself, and contribute to the development of our country.”


With USAID’s support, girls like Fiker feel strong enough to fight for their rights. “If my parents again try to force an early marriage upon me, I will go to my teachers and the police and refuse the marriage,” exclaimed Fiker.


Since the USAID activity began in December 2013, nearly 1,500 child marriage arrangements were cancelled in the five woredas, or districts, where the activity is implemented, while the courts have also begun to judicially revoke some child marriages and punish perpetrators.


“When girls are forced into child marriages, they are robbed of having a childhood, receiving an education and having their bodies mature in a healthy manner,” said USAID/Ethiopia Mission Director Dennis Weller. “Through our efforts, we are raising awareness that it is for the long-term good of both the individuals and their communities to stop the practice of child marriages.”


Fiker’s future looks bright, having just completed sixth grade as the top student in her class. “I have learned about the consequences of child marriage at an early age. I prefer an education before a husband.”


The USAID activity, Enhancing the Status of Human Rights Protection and Systems of Good Governance in Ethiopia, runs until 2018.
