Trump Lawyer Argues ‘Appearance of Impropriety’ Is Enough to Disqualify Prosecutor

Lawyers argued about whether the prosecutor Fani Willis has an untenable conflict of interest in the Georgia election case; her side called the disqualification effort “desperate.”

A judge in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald J. Trump heard final arguments on Friday on a motion to disqualify the prosecutor who brought the case, Fani T. Willis, on the ground that a romantic relationship she had with a subordinate created a conflict of interest.

With a historic criminal case against a former president on the line, lawyers for Mr. Trump and his co-defendants took turns assailing Ms. Willis. John B. Merchant III, who represents the defendant Michael Roman, said that if the court finds the prosecutors’ romance did not create a conflict of interest, “public confidence in the system will be shot.”

But Adam Abbate, a prosecutor in Ms. Willis’s office, called the defense’s effort to disqualify

Ms. Willis “a desperate attempt to remove a prosecutor from a case for absolutely no reason, other than harassment and embarrassment.”

Defense lawyers on Friday repeatedly asserted that the bar for disqualification should be relatively low, arguing that even the appearance of a conflict of interest should lead to Ms. Willis’s removal from the case because her actions had undermined public confidence in it.

The question of whether the defense needs to show an actual conflict or just an appearance of one could prove pivotal.

“We can demonstrate an appearance of a conflict of interest, and that is sufficient,” Mr. Merchant told the judge, Scott McAfee of Fulton County Superior Court.

Mr. Trump’s lawyer, Steven H. Sadow, picked up the theme, arguing that “once you have the appearance of impropriety,” the law in Georgia is clear: “That’s enough to disqualify.”

Mr. Sadow focused on a speech Ms. Willis made in January at a Black church in Atlanta, calling her remarks a “violation of professional rules of conduct.”

Her speech, at Big Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, came shortly after the conflict-of-interest motion was filed.

Ms. Willis, who is Black, suggested in the speech that the scrutiny of her romantic relationship with the prosecutor she hired to run the Trump case, Nathan Wade, was racist. Some of those comments she described as part of a conversation she had with God.

“It was a calculated determination by Ms. Willis to prejudice the defendants and their counsel,” Mr. Sadow said, adding, “Can you think of anything more that would heighten public condemnation of the defendant than alleging that the defense counsel and the defendants were making their motion based on race and religion?”

With Ms. Willis seated silently at the prosecution table, Mr. Abbate told Judge McAfee that appearance alone was not enough to disqualify her.

“The defense has to show an actual conflict,” Mr. Abbate said, adding that it had not done so in this case.

After Mr. Abbate sought to bolster his argument by citing a number of prior cases in which a conflict of interest had been found, Judge McAfee interjected that “a number of these cases seem to rely on appearance of impropriety.” But Mr. Abbate said that in each of the cases of disqualification that he cited, the courts found an “actual conflict” in addition to the appearance of impropriety.

The legal arguments of Mr. Trump and his allies were advanced by a lineup of veteran defense lawyers who seemed quite at ease, while Mr. Abbate had a more halting, and at times fumbling, presentation, relying more on his recitation of precedent and case law.

Regardless, Judge McAfee will be more interested in the substance of the legal questions, rather than the delivery style. He said after the arguments that he would rule within two weeks.

The hearing Friday allowed lawyers from the two sides to sum up their arguments over a salacious subplot to the election case — one that has already caused significant embarrassment and turmoil for Ms. Willis, the Fulton County district attorney. Details of her personal life have been spilled out in the Atlanta courthouse where she had hoped to put Mr. Trump and 14 co-defendants on trial as soon as this summer.

⁣The stakes are high: If Ms. Willis is disqualified from the case, her entire office will be, too, and the case will probably be turned over to a district attorney from another jurisdiction. The new prosecutor could choose to continue the case as planned, modify the charges or drop them.

Disqualification would reduce the chances that a trial would begin before the November presidential election, in which Mr. Trump is expected to be the Republican nominee.

The relationship between Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade, an Atlanta-area lawyer she hired in November 2021 to manage the prosecution team, first came to light in January, in a motion filed by Ashleigh Merchant, a lawyer for Michael Roman, one of Mr. Trump’s co-defendants.

Ms. Merchant, who along with her husband, John Merchant, represents Mr. Roman, asserted that the romance began before Ms. Willis hired Mr. Wade. She also argued that Mr. Wade was unqualified for the high-profile job, for which he has been paid at least $650,000 so far.

Ms. Merchant claimed that Mr. Wade and Ms. Willis had engaged in “self-dealing,” because the couple went on vacations together that she said Mr. Wade had paid for.
In her filing on Jan. 8, Ms. Merchant cited Georgia case law in arguing that the situation as she laid it out met the standard for a disqualifying conflict of interest.

On Friday, Mr. Merchant told the judge that “we have here a very personal financial interest that’s been laid out in terms of money received by Ms. Willis, as a result of the scheme that she set up.”

Ms. Willis and Mr. Wade have acknowledged that they had a romantic relationship. But they have said that it began after Mr. Wade was hired, and that it ended before Mr. Trump and 18 of his allies were charged in August in a sweeping indictment that accuses them of conspiring to overturn Mr. Trump’s defeat in the 2020 election.

⁣The Accusations Against Fani WillisThe election interference case in Georgia against former President Donald Trump has been buffeted by an effort to disqualify Fani Willis, the main prosecutor, over her romantic relationship with a colleague.

What to Know: A tense hearing was held in Georgia to decide whether Willis and her office should be removed from the prosecution. Here is what we learned during the first and second days of the proceedings.

The Accusations: Trump’s lawyers are hoping to convince a judge that Willis’s relationship with Nathan Wade, a lawyer she hired to manage the case, has created a conflict of interest that should be grounds for disqualifying Willis.

Willis’s Response: In a court filing and in a raw testimony, Willis said that her relationship with Wade began after she hired him to join the case and ended in 2023, arguing that the romance should not be a reason to disqualify her.

A Messy Diversion: Regardless of whether Willis is disqualified from leading the high-stakes case against Trump in Georgia, the extraordinary detour it has taken may have changed it fundamentally.

Ms. Willis said the couple roughly split the costs of the trips they took together, with Ms. Willis often using cash to pay back Mr. Wade for her share.

One defense lawyer, Richard A. Rice, Jr., accused the prosecutors during Friday’s hearing of living “Robin Leach’s lifestyle of the rich and famous” on their vacations.

But Mr. Abbate scoffed at that: “The evidence was she stayed at a DoubleTree in Napa” he said of Ms. Willis. “I don’t know that to be a lavish hotel.”

The judge held a series of hearings on the issue in February that felt at times like a mini-trial.

Mr. Wade took the stand, as did Ms. Willis, who pushed back angrily against Ms. Merchant’s questions. Ms. Willis described feeling loneliness after becoming the district attorney, the violent threats and racist messages she had received, and her frustration that the focus on her love life had distracted the nation’s attention from Mr. Trump and the 14 co-defendants who remain after four of those originally charged pleaded guilty.

At a hearing on Tuesday, the conflicting accounts of when the prosecutors’ romance began took center stage. Ms. Merchant called Terrence Bradley, a former law partner of Mr. Wade, to the stand, hoping to help prove that the relationship began before Mr. Wade was hired.

But Mr. Bradley delivered contradictory information. Entered into evidence was a text exchange he had with Ms. Merchant months earlier, in which he said that the relationship “absolutely” predated Mr. Wade’s hiring. But on the witness stand, he repeatedly said he had no knowledge of when the romance began.

The judge will have to decide which of Mr. Bradley’s accounts to believe as he weighs whether to disqualify the prosecutors.

At Friday’s hearing, Mr. Sadow said Mr. Bradley’s text messages showed that the relationship began before Mr. Wade’s hiring. But the judge seemed uncertain.

“Is it ever definitively shown how he knew this and that he actually did know it?” Judge McAfee asked.

Another witness, a former friend and employee of Ms. Willis named Robin Yeartie, also testified that the relationship predated Mr. Wade’s hiring. But under cross-examination, she said that she had left the D.A.'s office on bad terms and was no longer Ms. Willis’s friend.
Mr. Abbate on Friday dismissed both Mr. Bradley and Ms. Yeartie as people who had an ax to grind with the prosecutors.

There is already some precedent within the Trump case for disqualification. In July 2022, a judge blocked Ms. Willis from developing a case against Burt Jones, a fake Trump elector in Georgia in 2020, because Ms. Willis had hosted a fund-raiser for one of Mr. Jones’s political rivals. A year and a half after the disqualification, no replacement prosecutor has yet been named to continue investigating Mr. Jones, who is now Georgia’s lieutenant governor.

Pete Skandalakis, the executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia, said in a recent interview that the current situation was different from the one involving Mr. Jones and suggested that it could move more quickly because an indictment has already been handed up.

A version of this article appears in print on March 2, 2024, Section A, Page 20 of the New York edition with the headline: Trump Lawyer Urges Willis’s Disqualification.

Our Coverage of the Trump Case in GeorgiaFormer President Donald Trump and 18 others face a sprawling series of charges for their roles in attempting to interfere in the state’s 2020 presidential election.
RICO Charges: At the heart of the indictment in Georgia are racketeering charges under the state Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. Here’s why such charges could prove to be a powerful tool for the prosecution.
Who Else Was Indicted?: Rudy Giuliani, who led legal efforts in several states to keep the former president in power, and Mark Meadows, the former White House chief of staff, were among the 18 Trump allies charged in the case.
Plea Deals: Sidney K. Powell, Kenneth Chesebro and Jenna Ellis — three lawyers indicted with Trump in the case — pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate with prosecutors against the former president.
Lt. Gov. Burt Jones: Since the indictment of Trump and his allies, a question has gone unanswered: Would charges also be filed against the longtime Trump supporter? It is now up to a state agency to find a special prosecutor to investigate him.

Medical examiner's report on the 2001 death of Lori Klausutis
https://www.washingtonpost.com..../context/medical-exa
Trump has tweeted multiple times in recent days to falsely suggest the congressman-turned-television host Joe Scarborough murdered an employee whose death was ruled an accident. Read the story here:
https://www.washingtonpost.com..../politics/florida-fa
https://context-cdn.washington....post.com/notes/prod/
https://www.nwfdailynews.com/s....tory/news/2017/12/11
The Congressional record clearly indicates that on July 19, 2001, U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough, a Pensacola resident representing Florida’s First District, was present and accounted for in Washington, D.C.
READ: PDFs of Daily News print editions from 2001 >> http://site.nwfdailynews.com/docs/KLAU2.pdf
On the day an employee, Lori Klausutis, died tragically inside his Fort Walton Beach satellite office, the young Republican congressman engaged in feisty debate with Democrat Anthony Weiner and cast several votes, including one taken not long before the U.S. House adjourned at 9:49 p.m.
Scarborough was hundreds of miles away from Fort Walton Beach when Klausutis, a woman he later told reporters he hardly knew, died. Yet 17 years later, the mention of her name never fails to drag Scarborough into conversations laden with conspiracy theories.
President Donald Trump didn’t even have to mention Klausutis by name in a Nov. 29 tweet that ignited the most recent social media firestorm to engulf Scarborough. The tweet began as commentary on NBC’s firing of talk show host Matt Lauer following allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace.
“So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin?” Trump asked. “And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!”
Had the president researched the matter, he would have learned that in 2001 the Northwest Florida Daily News had worked for more than a month to get to the bottom of the death, publishing 10 news stories and two editorials — both critical of the way the death case was being handled.
The newspaper uncovered enough unsettling details about the investigation of Klausutis’ death to have helped push a conspiracy narrative along.
But the twisted road to the truth ultimately led to a definitive conclusion: Klausutis died of a blow to the head that occurred when she collapsed due to a heart palpitation and hit her head on a desk as she fell unconscious to the floor.
Trump’s “unsolved mystery” was, in fact, solved.
‘It’s inappropriate’
To contemplate otherwise is to dishonor the memory of Lori Klausutis and disrespect her family, said Paul Lux, who had known her and worked with her in Okaloosa County’s Young Republican Club.
“As soon as I heard that, I was wondering ‘Why would anyone bring that up.’ It’s inappropriate because of all the circumstances around it,” Lux said of Trump’s tweet. “There was nothing sneaky or underhanded about her death. I know the president has had his share of back and forth with Joe Scarborough, but dragging Lori’s family back into this was never a good thing, in my opinion.”
Here’s how events unfolded:
At about 8:30 a.m. on July 20, 2001, Juanita Marie Bergmann, a Destin resident and former nurse, and her husband, Andreas Bergmann, arrived at Scarborough’s Fort Walton Beach office at 348 Miracle Strip Parkway to discuss a work permit issue. They found the door of the office open and the lights on, and the body of Klausutis, a Scarborough constituent services coordinator, lying on the floor next to a desk.
Juanita Bergmann checked the pulse of the young woman while her husband called 911. She said she saw no indication of a head injury and no indication of foul play.
“She’d obviously had a seizure,” Bergmann would tell the Daily News. “My assumption was she had a seizure and it caused her to go into cardiac arrest.”
Fort Walton Beach Police Chief Steve Hogue said on the day the body was discovered that preliminary investigation hadn’t turned up any evidence of foul play or trauma to Klausutis’ body, nor were there any outward indications of suicide.

⁣An avid runner and apparently in great physical shape, Klausutis had experienced past medical problems, Hogue said. An autopsy was to be conducted and her medical records examined as part of the death investigation.

⁣⁣From Washington, Scarborough sent a statement of regret for Klausutis’ passing. A spokesman said the congressman was flying into Pensacola on the day the body was found, but the trip was a scheduled weekend visit to see his sons.

That first day, there seemed nothing out of the ordinary other than the terribly unfortunate death of a 28-year-old woman who everyone that knew her seemed quite fond of.

But after July 20, the flow of information slowed dramatically. Official documents were withheld and Associate Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Berkland failed to release his cause of death findings on the date he said he would.

It wouldn’t be until late August when, under pressure from the Daily News, Fort Walton Beach Police and Berkland finally released documents that told the whole story about the Klausutis case.

Uncalled for? Au contraire, mon frere!

More and more people from Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ inner circle are speaking out!
In a new interview with The Art of Dialogue on Thursday, the rapper’s former bodyguard Gene Deal had a ton of tea to spill about him, including insight into his time with Cassie Ventura, who filed and then shocking settled a rape case against her ex-boyfriend earlier this month. As you may recall from the dramatic filing, the 37-year-old singer claimed she was forced to have sex with male prostitutes while the artist would film the interactions and pleasure himself, among many other disturbing allegations. But now, Gene is arguing this wasn’t the full story!
In the new chat, the security guard alleged that the 54-year-old forced his then-girlfriend to hire those male sex workers for himself — he just didn’t want anyone to be able to track them back to him. Why does he think this?? Addressing “rumors” that have plagued the Last Night crooner for years, Gene claims he learned quickly when to give Puff Daddy his space when they were out together, such as when he stumbled across the celeb allegedly purchasing “butt plugs” or when they would frequent an apparent gay hotspot:
“I knew I should wait outside of Turkish baths for him. You know what they do in a Turkish baths? … That’s where a lot of gay men meet, and they all take hot baths together. To each his own though, right?”
Oh, damn. This is like Will Smith all over again!
Related: Tiffany Haddish Addresses DUI In First Sighting Since Arrest!
Doubling down on this sexuality speculation, Gene added even more alleged claims:
“That’s a lot of s**t that these guys get into when they start having certain meetings with certain people and they meet them at the Turkish baths, and they do they meetings and they meet their people in those types of situations where they’re comfortable at. So, they don’t have to worry about their indiscretions coming out. … So, that’s why, you know, twice, sometimes three times a week, me and the driver be outside, he’ll run into the Turkish bath.”
Three times a week?!? Wow! Gene then teased more unconfirmed allegations:
“You got that big ass tub at home but you wanna come [here]??”
😅 LOLz! 😅
Obviously, nothing about this has been confirmed, and Diddy has been very open about denying all of Cassie’s other allegations so far, so we’d expect a similar reaction to this alleged scoop. Either way, this is probably the last thing the musician wants to deal with amid his ongoing scandal! You can hear more from the bodyguard (below):

Matisyahu's fed up with the lack of concern for the hostages in Gaza ... going on an expletive-filled tirade against perceived antisemitic behavior.

We caught up with the singer-songwriter Tuesday when he decided to busk on the street for the first time in 25 years ... belting out songs in the cold on the heels of venues canceling his shows.

Remember ... we spoke to Matis last week after his shows in Tucson, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico were canceled because of last-minute safety concerns. Matisyahu was convinced both cancellations were the result of his views on the war in Gaza.

Clearly, Matis is tired of relying on venues and decided to take his music to the street ... saying he just wants to share his message of "love" with audiences.

Despite saying love's his purpose, Matisyahu admits he's also upset with the situation in the Middle East -- and his feelings of love quickly manifested into a diatribe on double standards.

Matis focused on the hostages in Gaza and slammed people who don't seem super concerned about them. He's got a theory on why this is ... chalking up the apathy to antisemitism.

Matisyahu fired off a list of other moments in history where Jewish people faced hardship and overcame ... before firing off the rallying cry, "We will f***ing win."

He followed all this up with a performance of "No Woman, No Cry" -- the hit song popularized by Bob Marley -- belting out the song with electric guitar accompaniment.

Seems like Matis is turning the world into his concert hall ... so, maybe do a double-take next time you're walking by a street performer.

There were so many defendants due to Mr. Jones allegedly feeling as if these people either participated in the alleged crimes or allowed them and refused to do anything to stop them despite having the power to do so.
Also, the guy who was allegedly shot in the bathroom of the recording studio was allegedly Justin Combs’ friend, if I’m not mistaken. That guy, Justin, and P. Devil got into it and P. Devil took the argument to the restroom with the guy, where the shooting allegedly took place. Allegedly, Lil Rod was the one who had to help the guy and called the ambulance and then P. devil made him lie to the police allegedly.
Also, also, the incident with Yung Miami’s cousin was worse than how I described it. I tried to keep it tame and not vulgar, but that woman went out of her way to mess with that man after he’d made it clear that he didn’t want her touching him and doing inappropriate things to him.
ANYWAYS
Mr. Jones went for everybody in this lawsuit and if they all did what he is alleging that they did, they need to be behind bars and they need to give him the money that’s rightfully due to him.
Enough is enough, some people are tired and when pushed too far or taken advantage of too much, they will fight back.
This man deserves the same attention and support that Cassie got when she filed her lawsuit against P. Devil Combs.
I said it before, that I believe that there were male victims but that they didn’t want to come out because they saw how some people treated the women. Imagine how many men decided to take thier pain to the grave without seeking the justice they deserve because of how society and our community treats people when they blow the whistle and come out and expose these celebrities. It should not be that way; we shouldn’t make our society so hostile and lacking in empathy that people would rather DIE with their pain and trauma instead of try and get justice.

Woman applauds removal of Illinois judge who overturned man’s sexual assault conviction, saying it left her ‘broken’
Feb. 27, 2024, 5:18 PM EST
By Maggie Vespa, Halle Lukasiewicz and David K. Li
The woman at the center of the case in which an Illinois judge overturned the conviction of a man accused of sexual assault says the 2022 decision left her “broken” — and she applauded the judge’s ouster.
In a scathing 33-page ruling released Friday, the Illinois Courts Commission, a state oversight board, removed Adams County Judge Robert Adrian from the bench.
Adrian sparked outrage two years ago by vacating 18-year-old Drew Clinton’s sexual assault conviction, a charge stemming from a graduation party in May 2021 in Quincy, Illinois, where he was accused of assaulting Cameron Vaughan, then 16.
“I cried. I cried so much,” Vaughan, who goes by "Cammy" and is now 18, told NBC News on Sunday about reading the commission’s ruling. “I was just — it was unbelievable.”
After a three-day bench trial in October 2021, Adrian originally found Clinton guilty of one count of criminal sexual assault, a felony carrying a mandatory minimum sentence of four years in prison.
A few days into 2022, in a stunning move from the bench, Adrian announced that he was reversing himself and letting Clinton walk free. According to court transcripts, Adrian said the defendant’s nearly five months in county jail was “plenty of punishment.”
Adrian said: “By law, the Court is supposed to sentence this young man to the Department of Corrections. This Court will not do that. That is not just. There is no way for what happened in this case that this teenager should go to the Department of Corrections. I will not do that.”
Vaughan, who had prepared a victim impact statement that she wasn’t allowed to read, said she ran from the courtroom in tears as her father followed. She said the attack had an immediate impact on her life.
“Because what [Clinton] did was not right. I mean, it ruined me,” she said. Vaughan, who now works for an optometrist in Joplin, Missouri, added that Adrian’s reversal compounded the trauma.
“There was no new evidence, nothing new to make him change his mind,” she said. “I was very depressed and on medications for trying to help with my nightmares. And I was just very, very sad.”
In a separate interview Monday, Adrian said he stood by his reversal but clarified his rationale. He said he vacated Clinton’s guilty verdict not to keep him out of prison but because he’d reconsidered the evidence and decided prosecutors had failed to prove their case.
“Why would I want to send a person who’s not guilty to the Department of Correction? Of course, I’ll reverse,” he said. “There’s a lot of judges that wouldn’t. They’d wait and say, ‘Oh, well, if I made the mistake, the appellate court [will] straighten it out.’”
Asked whether he’d do anything differently with 20/20 hindsight, Adrian didn’t waver.
“I’d explain it different,” he said. “But I still wouldn’t send him to the Department of Correction. [Clinton] was not guilty, and that’s the whole key. See, that’s what nobody wants to do. Nobody wants to actually look at the evidence in the case.”
He added: “I made a mistake, and I corrected the mistake. So now, you know, you want to chastise me for correcting my mistake, go ahead. But I can’t help but people are human. We make mistakes. I correct mine.”
The Courts Commission blasted the new rationale, writing that Adrian "intentionally subverted the law and then lied about it under oath to serve his own interests” and that “we have already concluded that respondent reversed his guilty finding to circumvent the law."
"Nor do we accept respondent’s contention that he made a mistake in finding Clinton guilty," the commission wrote. "Respondent claimed that he began to consider whether he had mistakenly found Clinton guilty immediately after the trial, but then he did nothing for months while Clinton remained in jail.”
Vaughan maintains she was assaulted by Clinton, who she says put a pillow over her face while she slept on a friend’s couch after drinking. Clinton declined to comment for this article. He maintains his innocence through his attorney.
Even though the system didn’t produce her desired result at trial, Vaughan said she considers Adrian’s dismissal another form of justice.
“He hurt me,” she said about Adrian, whose removal was effective immediately. “He changed my life, and nothing happened to him. He needs to see what he did to me, how he made me feel and know that I’m the reason you’re not a judge anymore.”

What's that, you say? Oh, it's just this: The Porn Monopoly; let's do an alternate time capsule 💊
We are all familiar with how a few companies are massive monopolies over entire industries. For instance, virtually every consumer brand is owned by one of these 9 companies.
But, did you know that it isn’t only consumer brands where one winner has indeed taken it all? Let me introduce you to a company called MindGeek.
MindGeek says it is “A leader in Web Design, IT, Web Development, and SEO”. But deep down, what is it?
MindGeek is a porn company. Not just any porn company — THE porn company. Some of their subsidiaries: Pornhub, RedTube, YouPorn, PornMD, PornIQ, Peeperz, GayTube, Tube8, XTube, Babes.com, Brazzers, Digital Playground, Reality Kings, Twistys, Men.com, Mofos, Sextube, MyDirtyHobby, Webcams.com, Playboy’s online and TV operations, and MUCH MORE.
They have a virtual monopoly on online pornography. They have more traffic than Amazon, Facebook, or Twitter, and are likely in the top 3 companies in the world in terms of total bandwidth consumed.
The company was founded in 2004, but their claim to fame was the crash in the porn business that reached its peak in the late 2000s and early 2010s. From 2009 to 2015 they went on a buying spree, buying up every single porn website they could find at dirt cheap prices.
Ironically, this monopoly has created some strangely perverse incentives. Because MindGeek owns both porn aggregator sites as well as porn production sites, actors and actresses that work in MindGeek’s porn production business will regularly see their films hosted illegally on the aggregator sites. Of course, MindGeek doesn’t mind this, as they make money from advertisements anyway, and the actors and actresses obviously suffer.
This perverse incentive structure is in fact blamed for the downfall of the traditional porn industry. Because MindGeek owns everything, and therefore does not bother to try to remove production content from aggregator sites, production porn has continued to tank, while amateur uploads have continued to gain more prominence. Furthermore, no one can speak out about this, because if you piss of MindGeek, you are essentially done working in the industry (since MindGeek owns or has connections to every production company).
As you might imagine, all these shady practices have led to a few legal issues, ranging from tax evasion to antitrust lawsuits. But ultimately, MindGeek doesn’t care that much, because they are raking in billions. Sadly, I couldn’t find an exact figure on their revenues or profits 😟
There are some funny aspects of MindGeek as a result of them trying to put on a “non-porn” image (ala their website). If you look at their GlassDoor reviews, you’ll see people say things like “If you’re interested in the ‘Content Formatter’ job, just be aware you’re basically a glorified child porn screener, and you will be watching disgusting videos all day.” They have a solid 2.9/5 on GlassDoor.
So, just know the next time you choose between YouPorn, RedTube, PornHub, and Brazzers, it’s all the same. MindGeek owns us all.

Well, YOU and your band of cosmopolitan thieves BROKE IT...now you gotta BUY IT 💳⁣

The only way to fix the broken system is to remove the treasonous supremacist Jews & other traitors who broke it. Start with the treasonous dual Israelis like Mayorkas. Everyone who researches the border invasion will find out we're being invaded because of the treasonous conspiring supremacist Jews who are behind the invasion. Jews hijacked America which is why Biden's administration is full of treasonous Jews. Mayorkas was asked about the border crisis and this is what he said -“It certainly is a crisis and we don’t bear responsibility for a broken system, and we’re dealing a tremendous amount within that broken system,” he said. “But fundamentally, Congress is the only one who can fix it.”

1st Treasonous Jews like him broke the system.
2nd Jews flooded America with the invaders and caused the crisis.
3rd Congress is controlled and paid off by the Jewish lobby group AIPAC with Americans' stolen tax money.

HAMILTON, Ohio (WXIX) - Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones is catching heat for his use of the “warden burger,” which he serves to inmates in isolation.
Jones says it’s not made to taste bad and it’s a common practice across the country.
He says the punishment isn’t in the taste but in having the same thing for every meal for the duration of an inmate’s stay in isolation, which can last up to 10 days.
Jones took bites of the burger during an interview Wednesday night with FOX19.
“I would eat this,” he said. “Hell, I’m eating it now.”
The burger is made of tomato paste, flour, dry milk, oats, beans, ground turkey, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, onion, celery, and “a pinch of salt,” according to the recipe.
Jones says he’s been serving it to inmates in isolation for years and has never been ordered to stop.
“This is jail,” he said. “You don’t get to choose your mommy and your daddy, and your aunt Lily doesn’t get to make your meals. I’m your aunt and your grandpa. I’m the one that gets your meals prepared, makes sure it gets done.”
Jones says inmates get put in isolation for things like fighting, and the burger is added punishment.
“If you get in trouble and you go to an isolation cell, it’s no different than your regular cell,” he said. “And that’s what you get three times a day, and you get all the water you can drink. It’s very nutritious. It’s good for you. It has lots of fiber, and fiber is good for you, right?”
Jones says a dietician approved the recipe.
Asked whether he would eat the burger three times a day, Jones replied, “Yeah. I’m easy to please like that. I come from a generation that you eat whatever’s in front of you.”
Jones says he’s had inmates think twice about acting out because they say they don’t want to eat the burger again.
“And this may be just a little piece that keeps you out of trouble, keeps you from hurting other people,” he said. “That’s my goal here.”

⁣Confirmed: The American Red Cross Lied and Unvaccinated Individuals are Unknowingly Receiving Vaccinated Blood, Along with the Spike Proteins they Carry
NOW— They want you to call in if you are vaccinated and want to donate.
IN 2021– the Red Cross said that the Covid Vaccines DO NOT enter the bloodstream…
However, numerous peer-reviewed studies and autopsies have proven that lipid-nanoparticles and the spike proteins are being found in ever major organ in the body; even being found in the blood-brain barrier.
If the vaccines are found in other major organs in the body, the lipid nano-particles and the spike proteins are therefore in the blood… therefore vaccinated blood donors are spreading lipid-Nanoparticles and the spike protein to unvaccinated recipients.

John Brennan promising to bring stability to Ukraine while at the same time constructing spy outposts in the country.
On Sunday, The New York Times published a rare US admission that US intelligence has not only been instrumental in Ukraine’s wartime decision-making but has established and financed high-tech command-and-control spy centers and was doing so long prior to the Feb. 24 Russian invasion of two years ago.
According to Zero Hedge, The New York Times admitted that the program was established a decade ago and spans three different American presidents. The Times says the CIA program to modernize Ukraine’s intelligence services has “transformed” the former Soviet state and its capabilities into “Washington’s most important intelligence partners against the Kremlin today.”
Zero Hedge reported:
This means that with the disclosure of the longtime “closely guarded secret” the world just got a big step closer to WW3, given it means the CIA is largely responsible for the effectiveness of the recent spate of attacks which have included direct drone hits on key oil refineries and energy infrastructure.
“Without them [the CIA and elite commandoes it’s trained], there would have been no way for us to resist the Russians, or to beat them,” according to Ivan Bakanov, former head of the SBU, which is Ukraine’s domestic intelligence agency.
A main source of the NYT revelations—disclosures which might come as no surprise to those never willing to so easily swallow the mainstream ‘official’ narrative of events—is identified as a top intelligence commander named Gen. Serhii Dvoretskiy.
Clearly, Kiev and Washington now want the world to know of the deep intelligence relationship they tried to conceal for over the past decade.
Kanekoa the Great posted this viral report earlier today on X.
The New York Times disclosed yesterday that the CIA built “12 Secret Spy Bases” in Ukraine, waging a shadow war against Russia for the past decade.
After a U.S.-supported violent coup toppled Ukraine’s democratically elected government, CIA Director John Brennan visited Kyiv in April 2014.
Shortly after, the new Ukrainian government launched an “anti-terror operation” against its Russian-speaking citizens in Eastern Ukraine.
For eight years leading up to Russia’s invasion in 2022, Ukraine’s government, with help from the CIA, relentlessly bombed Eastern Ukraine.
Millions of innocent civilians were caught in the crossfire of a geopolitical chess match between Russia and the United States.
This is part of the story often ignored by the Western press.

Feb 21 (Reuters) - An Arizona prosecutor said on Wednesday she will decline an extradition request from New York for a man wanted for the murder of a woman in a hotel room because she did not trust her Manhattan counterpart to keep the man in custody.
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell, a Republican, said at a press conference she had instructed her staff not to cooperate with any request by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a Democrat, to extradite Raad Noan Almansoori. The announcement drew criticism from Bragg's office that Mitchell was playing "political games" in a murder case.
Almansoori is wanted for the murder of Denisse Oleas-Arancibia, 38, in a room at the SoHo 54 Hotel in Manhattan earlier in February. She was strangled and bludgeoned in her head, according to an autopsy report.
He was arrested by police in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Feb. 18 after an 18-year-old woman survived being stabbed multiple times in the bathroom of a McDonald's restaurant in Surprise, Arizona.
He made statements to Arizona investigators linking himself to the McDonald's attack, another non-fatal stabbing the day before in Phoenix, Arizona, and the murder at the SoHo 54 Hotel, police said.
Almansoori remains in jail, having been denied release on bail at an initial court appearance, and it was unclear whether he had a lawyer.
In explaining her decision not to extradite Almansoori to New York, Mitchell, the county's chief prosecutor, noted that the assaults he is accused of in Arizona carry mandatory prison sentences, suggesting without evidence he might be released from custody in New York.
"Having observed the treatment of violent criminals in the New York area by the Manhattan D.A. there, Alvin Bragg, I think it's safer to keep him here and keep him in custody so that he cannot be out doing this to individuals, either in our state or county or anywhere in the United States," she told reporters.
She did not elaborate, but Bragg, like other Democratic law-enforcement officials, has often been criticized by Republican politicians for being too lenient on criminals, even where such allegations are undercut by crime statistics.
Bragg's office shared data showing the murder rate in Phoenix, the largest city in Maricopa County, is more than twice that of New York City, which has long had a relatively low ranking among American cities for violent crime.
"It is deeply disturbing that D.A. Mitchell is playing political games in a murder investigation," Emily Tuttle, a spokesperson for the Manhattan district attorney, said in a statement. She said Mitchell's decision was a "slap in the face" to New York law enforcement and "to the victim in our case to refuse to allow us to seek justice and full accountability for a New Yorker's death."

‘House of horrors’ rabbi takes cushy deal after pleading guilty to enslaving 30 women: reports
https://bnnbreaking.com/courts....-law/law/jerusalems-
In the heart of Jerusalem, a story unfolds that reads more like a grim fairy tale than a chapter from contemporary history. Aharon Ramati, the former headmaster of a seminary, found himself at the center of a scandalous trial, culminating in a conviction that has reverberated through the city's ancient stone walls. Ramati, in his early 60s, was convicted by the Jerusalem District Court for holding women in conditions tantamount to slavery, following a plea deal with prosecutors. This case, infamously dubbed the 'house of horrors,' lays bare a shocking betrayal of trust and exploitation.
The Unveiling of the 'House of Horrors'
The investigation into Ramati's seminary began after allegations surfaced, painting a harrowing picture of life under his rule. Women, drawn to the seminary with promises of spiritual education and guidance, found themselves ensnared in a reality far removed from their expectations. The 'house of horrors,' as it came to be known, was a place of manipulation and control, where Ramati's word was law. Despite the gravity of the accusations, the case was complicated by the reluctance of 11 victims to testify against their abuser in court. The distress of facing Ramati, the very man who had subjected them to such degrading conditions, proved too daunting a prospect.
A Judicial Outcome Amidst Silence
With the victims' silence casting a shadow over proceedings, the court's conviction of Ramati hinged on significant evidence compiled by prosecutors, a testament to their dedication to justice. The plea deal, while ensuring Ramati's conviction, has sparked debate about the adequacy of the justice served. The case against Ramati, with its deep implications of trust betrayed and lives manipulated, stands as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities within systems meant to protect and uplift. It raises poignant questions about the mechanisms of control and exploitation, hidden beneath the veneer of spiritual guidance and education.
Beyond the Verdict: Implications and Reflections
The conviction of Aharon Ramati is not merely the closing of a case but a moment of reflection for Jerusalem and beyond. It forces a confrontation with the uncomfortable realities of exploitation and manipulation that can lurk within trusted institutions. As the 'house of horrors' case concludes, the broader implications for society's safeguarding of its most vulnerable members come to the fore. This story, while rooted in the specific circumstances of Ramati's seminary, resonates with broader themes of power, trust, and the delicate balance between vulnerability and exploitation. It serves as a sobering reminder of the ongoing struggle to protect human dignity and ensure justice for all, even in the face of silence.

https://edition.cnn.com/2010/C....RIME/09/15/pentagon.
(CNN) -- The Defense Department will reopen its investigation into employees who are alleged to have downloaded child pornography, a spokesman said Wednesday.
The Pentagon's Defense Criminal Investigative Service will review 264 cases, according to spokesman Gary Comerford. The department had stopped the reviews because of a lack of resources, he said.
Some of the cases may be referred to military criminal investigations, while cases where it appears a criminal investigation cannot be done will be sent to Defense Department leadership for consideration.
The incidents were part of Project Flicker, a nationwide child pornography sting conducted several years ago by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. The Department of Defense released documents pertaining to the sting earlier this summer.
A Yahoo News investigation found that the department followed up on only a fifth of the cases after federal investigators informed it of employee involvement.
"I have tasked Defense Criminal Investigative Service representatives with reviewing each and every Project Flicker and related referral DCIS received so as to ensure action was taken regarding these allegations involving employees of the Department of Defense," James Burch, deputy inspector general for investigations, said in a statement released Wednesday.
Among the employees identified in a series of reports released by the department were some listed as having security clearances at the top secret level or higher. They worked for groups within the department such as the National Security Agency and the National Reconnaissance Office, two of the country's top intelligence agencies.
Some of the employees are suspected of having used their work computers to view pornographic websites.
Some employees involved in the investigation have pleaded guilty to charges of child pornography, but other inquiries were dropped or are still open. One case against a Defense Department contractor who allegedly admitted to having viewed pornographic material of children was dropped "due to a lack of resources," according to one of the reports from 2009.
