UPDATE: More information is emerging after the violent downtown Denver crash involving a BMW that struck two women and left one trapped underneath the vehicle.
According to reports, 56-year-old Cesario Serrato was arrested June 14 after allegedly running a red light and plowing into pedestrians in downtown Denver. Witnesses reportedly told investigators that one woman became pinned beneath the BMW and was dragged through the intersection while bystanders screamed for the driver to stop.

Witnesses alleged officers and civilians repeatedly yelled that a woman was trapped underneath the vehicle, but the driver allegedly accelerated again before police were finally able to remove the keys from the BMW. A visible blood trail could reportedly be seen beneath the vehicle during the incident.

Video we previously posted from the scene showed the chaotic moment responders realized someone was underneath the car, prompting officers, firefighters, and civilians to physically lift the BMW in an effort to free the victim.
The woman trapped beneath the vehicle was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and was reportedly fighting for her life following the crash.

Reports indicate Serrato was allegedly out on a $0 personal recognizance bond from another case at the time of the incident and has multiple open cases in Denver County Court. Prior reported criminal history allegedly includes DUI-related offenses, fraud, and weapons charges.
The investigation remains ongoing.

⁣BROOKLYN - An Orthodox Jewish rabbi has been arrested for the alleged molestation of three teenage boys who attended a Brooklyn school where he used to work.

According to authorities, 33-year-old Yoel Malik sexually abused boys between the ages of 14 and 16. They say he had several encounters with the victims in a motel and also in a car.

Malik is a member of the Satmar Hasidic community in Williamsburg, which is the same sect as former Hasidic Jewish counselor Nechemya Weberman. Weberman was sentenced last week to 103 years in prison for molesting a young girl he counseled for three years.

Malik is facing 28 separate counts related to this case.

A Brooklyn rabbi accused of sexually assaulting several teenage boys was sentenced on Tuesday to 60 days in jail and six years on probation.

In 2013, Yoel Malik was charged with the sexual assault of four boys aged between 13 and 16.

He pleaded guilty of luring a child and sexual misconduct the following year, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

As part of the plea deal, Malik, 36, underwent a sex offender class and other probation requirements, and the felony count of luring a child was subsequently dismissed, according to the Daily News.

Malik's victims were students at the now-closed Satmar yeshiva in Borough Park, Brooklyn.

The rabbi was accused of fondling the boys and allegedly forced two of them to perform oral sex on him.

A Brooklyn hotel manager said he admitted Malik and a 'tall boy' into a room in January 2013, where the pair allegedly stayed for eight hours, according to Pix 11.

Malik was arrested two weeks after the alleged hotel attack by NYPD officers from the 77th precinct in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, court records show.

Child abuse victims' advocates told the Daily News the 60-day jail sentence was 'inexplicable,' while Malik's lawyer, Rober Bennet-Adler, called the punishment 'significant.'

Malik is a father of five and previously ran a yeshiva for 'at-risk' youth, according to Pix 11.

During that initial session, prosecutors from the District Attorney's office requested that Judge Antignani set Malik's bail at $250,000, though he was ultimately released on a lower $75,000 bond. The final plea deal and sentencing in 2014 and 2016 were subsequently processed through the ⁠Brooklyn Supreme Court.

⁣The horrific attempted murder of a man in Belfast has sparked international outrage from major figures.

Harrowing footage captured at around 10.30pm on Monday evening appeared to show a man, described by police as a 30-year-old asylum seeker who had been granted indefinite leave to remain in Northern Ireland, violently stabbing another man in the street.

The video shows a man - named today as Hadi Alodid - standing astride a bloodied victim, holding a knife to his throat and his fist in the air.

Police said a kitchen knife was recovered from the scene.

The man, named by residents as Stephen Ogilvie, suffered severe knife wounds to his face, neck and back.

In the wake of Monday night's attack and violent riots across the city on Tuesday, many across Europe and the US reacted with rage.

Santiago Abascal, the leader of hard-right Spanish party Vox, said on social media: 'Europe is not condemned to passively coexist with those who stab, slit throats and rape in broad daylight every day.

'There is another path. There is another future. Total intolerance towards this barbarity, and immediate deportations.'

He added: 'That path will not be taken by the same leaders who have encouraged this invasion and who are more concerned with managing the public image of the executioners than protecting the security of their own citizens.'

Over in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders, who heads up the right-wing Party for Freedom (PVV), shared video of the horrific incident with the caption: 'Please listen now. Open border policy is criminal. It is killing us.'

Their anger was matched by US-based Elon Musk, CEO of social media platform X, who wrote in response to calls to protest across the UK following the attack: 'Only by protesting REPEATEDLY and LOUDLY will there be any change!!'

Ian Mendoza, executive director of the Henry Jackson Society, told Fox News that the Belfast attack laid bare what he described as failures in Britain's immigration system.

'Britain's broken border and migration system has been put into stark relief once more with this tragic — and entirely avoidable — case,' Mendoza said.

'This man should never ever have been in the UK, let alone been granted leave to remain. The Irish border is the soft underbelly for a process the British public has long since lost confidence in, as well as in those administering it politically.

'Nothing short of a revolution in who we allow into the UK and how will satisfy a people fed up with false promises about immigration change.'

Tuesday night saw violent protests break out in Belfast as hundreds of masked protesters torched homes and vehicles following the arrest of the alleged Sudanese attacker.

Houses, cars, a bus and a supermarket were set alight as parts of the city descended into chaos, with some suggestions that non-white residents were deliberately targeted by some of the fires.

Northern Ireland's First Minister, Michelle O'Neill, condemned the 'outright thuggery', saying that 'groups of masked men burning families out of their homes is nothing less than disgusting cowardice'.

Protesters were said to be targeting HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation), where multiple people live in a shared property - and which some claim are being used to house migrants at the taxpayers' expense.
