In the summer of 2007 screenwriter ('The Siege')/book writer Lawrence Wright did an in depth interview on C-Span's Book TV. Wright is the author of The Looming Tower; Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Nonfiction (2007). As I watched the interview—and as a student of the events of 9/11 -- I quickly sensed that Wright's book is a rehash of the 9/11 Commission's 'official story' about the attacks, i.e., a complete crock of shit.

Thor Madsen was born in Chicago; his parents had arrived at a hot moment (1968) and the fully took up the spirit of the time. He put together an acid Jazz band, influenced by the likes of Guru, Us3, and Digable Planets and soon received offers to perform. Thor pulled together as much as he could while in his small town, but he had it in his head to get to New York for even broader horizons. Soon he was on the scene, mixing and performing with cats at Izzy Bar and later Nublu. He was part of the Hip-Hop collective The Real Live with Dionysus, Stimulus, Eric Revis, James Hurt, and Dana Murray. As Nublu became a hub his focus shifted to the space between Jazz and Electronica, as he toured with The Nublu Orchestra, Wax Poetic, and Our Theory. Somewhere in this whirlwind he picked up his new moniker, Thor De Force, as personally described by writer John Farris. The story tells itself: a man who let music into his soul and found it was already there. A curious mind with a persistent desire to experiment. There is a solid beginning but no end, as Madsen also works with Jazz Explorer Trio and RagaJazz with violin virtuoso Kala Ramnath. And so the new album - Sounds Of The Mansion - is a document of a journey. Working from his studio Mazza Mansion, with an arsenal of equipment within reach, Thor began each song with one seed, cultivating the sound and bringing in new ideas as they blossomed. The result is a comprehensive glimpse into the creative mind of Thor De Force. “The album is my attempt to really do my own music, my own style, my own story. There is a little of everything I like in it. Archaeologists have discovered an old military site that might support a story from the Bible about angels protecting Jerusalem.

Based on the story from about 2,700 years ago, God sent an angel to fight Assyrian soldiers who wanted to take over the Holy Land. The angel reportedly appeared among the enemy soldiers and defeated 185,000 of them in a single night.
Until this time, there has not been any archaeological proof that this extraordinary event, or even the battle itself, really occurred.

Archaeologist Stephen Compton now says that, using advanced mapping methods, he has uncovered further evidence supporting the occurrence of the legendary battle.

King Sennacherib of the Assyrian Empire invaded Jerusalem

The Assyrian Empire existed from 1365 to 609 BC. This was many centuries before Christ’s time. King Sennacherib of the Assyrian Empire led the invasion of Jerusalem to strengthen his control over trade routes through the Syrian Desert to the Mediterranean Sea.

Earlier, researchers found carvings on the walls of King Sennacherib’s palace. These depict his victory over Lachish, a city 42 miles south of Jerusalem.

The carvings provided a layout of the military base, which Compton compared with photographs from the 1910s of the same area, as reported by Daily Mail.

Compton observed a site matching the dimensions depicted on the palace walls. Ruins with remnants of a surrounding wall and pottery fragments were found. Through an extensive archaeological survey, Compton concluded that the site was deserted shortly after Sennacherib’s invasion. It remained uninhabited for over 2,600 years.

This discovery opens opportunities for locating additional military sites nearby, potentially revealing ancient cities devastated by the Assyrian Empire.

In 2021, Compton shared on X, previously Twitter, that he had pinpointed the exact locations of Sennacherib’s military camps. He described each camp as circular. These are situated just over a mile north of the old city walls. He also noted that, on historical maps, the camps were referred to as “Mudawwara,” an Arabic name.

The significance of these sites lies in their association with Sennacherib’s strategic planning for the invasion, as reflected by their Arabic name, Khirbet al Mudawwara. The name means “the ruins of the camp of the invading ruler.”

Prior to Compton’s discovery, only one other ancient military campsite had been found in the region.

Bible stories mention angels killing Assyrian soldiers

Three Bible stories—in Isaiah 37:36-38, 2 Kings 19:35, and 2 Chronicles 32:21—describe how Assyrian soldiers were killed the night before their planned attack on Jerusalem. In each account, the Israelite deity Yahweh sent an angel who moved through the camp while the soldiers slept, striking them down for threatening His followers.

Bible passage 19:35 from the book 2 Kings says: “And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred fourscore and five thousand; and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.”

The term “Angel of the Lord,” written in Hebrew as “malak Yahweh,” means “messenger of the Lord.” This angel was sent to protect Jerusalem after its ruler, Hezekiah, prayed to God for safety.

According to another version of the story, a plague killed the Assyrian soldiers. A Greek account claims mice invaded the camp during the night, chewing through the soldiers’ bowstrings and shield straps and leaving them defenseless.

A group that analyzes video locations said the video was not filmed at the site of the Tribe of Nova music festival, where more than 200 people were killed during Hamas’ Oct. 7 attacks in Israel.

We found no evidence to support claims that the video clip showed the Israel Defense Forces killing people at an Oct. 7 concert in Israel.

Social media users recently circulated video footage they claimed shows an Israeli helicopter killing Israelis at an Oct. 7 concert in Israel.

Stew Peters, a far-right radio host and the filmmaker behind the anti-COVID-19 vaccine films "Died Suddenly" and "Watch the Water," shared the 14-second video clip on X, formerly Twitter.

"VIDEO PROVES and ISRAEL ADMITS it slaughtered its own people on Oct. 7th," Peters wrote Nov. 9. "This attack was NOT made by goat herders on paragliders. Footage from Israeli helicopter shows the IDF killing many people at October 7 concert in Israel. IDF helicopters fired on civilians fleeing the PsyTrance Music Festival."

Other social media users shared Peters’ post, and it was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.) We also found this video clip misrepresented on TikTok.

Peters misleads about what the clip shows. The Israel Defense Forces shared this clip Oct. 9 on X, saying it showed a series of Israeli attacks on Hamas fighters. Hamas fighters attacked concertgoers in Israel on Oct. 7, and more than 200 people were killed, according to Zaka, Israel’s rescue service.

Asked about his post, Peters referred PolitiFact to a series of news reports — some in Hebrew — that he said document "Israelis killing their own." The information he sent did not include or appear to mention the video footage he shared on X.

Peters’ X post linked to an Oct. 30 article from a pro-Palestine media research organization that in turn linked to another Oct. 27 article from The Grayzone, a news organization historically on the political left. The Grayzone story included an embedded X post with the Israeli forces’ video footage, with a caption that said the footage showed Israeli forces "attacking Hamas fighters."

We found no evidence to support Peters’ claim that the video clip showed Israeli forces killing people at an Oct. 7 concert in Israel. A group that works to geolocate video footage analyzed the Israel Defense Forces’ video and said it was not filmed at the music festival site.

Where did the video footage originate?

Hamas fighters attacked multiple locations in Israel on Oct. 7, including the Tribe of Nova music festival, where at least 260 people were killed, according to Zaka, Israel’s rescue service. On Oct. 9, the Israel Defense Forces first posted a video showing this overhead footage on X that, starting at the 2:06 timestamp, shows air strikes followed by clouds of smoke and dust rising; at one point, people are visible before the strike.
