In Engel v. Vitale, 370 U.S. 421 (1962), the Supreme Court ruled that school-sponsored prayer in public schools violated the establishment clause of the First Amendment. The case involved a 22-word nondenominational prayer recommended to school districts by the New York Board of Regents: “Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.”
Parents said officially sponsored school prayer violated the First Amendment
The Union Free School District in New Hyde Park, N.Y., adopted the recommendation and instituted a practice whereby teachers led students in the prayer every morning. The practice was voluntary, and students could be excused without punishment upon written request from their parents.
Steven Engel and several other parents challenged the officially sponsored prayer as a violation of the First Amendment. Engel, a Jewish man, believed that the state should not impose a one-size-fits-all prayer upon children of many different faiths or no faith. The plaintiffs lost before the Supreme Court of New York in 1959, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of New York in 1960, and the Court of Appeals of New York in 1961, none of which viewed the prayer practice as the establishment of an official religion.
Engel and the others appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled in favor of the parents in a 6-1 vote (Justices Felix Frankfurter and Byron R. White did not participate).
Supreme Court struck down the prayer
Writing for the majority, Justice Hugo L. Black focused on the history of religious discrimination and intolerance in England and the early Colonial days of the United States. This history, according to Black, showed that by the time of the adoption of the U.S. Constitution Americans had a “widespread awareness . . . of the dangers of a union of Church and State.”
Black did not cite a single U.S. Supreme Court case in the text of his majority opinion, although he cited Everson v. Board of Education (1947) in a footnote. Instead, he cited a variety of secondary sources on the history and struggle for religious liberty. According to Black, “the First Amendment was added to the Constitution to stand as a guarantee that neither the power nor the prestige of the Federal Government would be used to control, support or influence the kinds of prayer the American people can say.”
Black concluded that “government in this country should stay out of the business of writing or sanctioning official prayers and leave that purely religious function to the people.”
Justice William O. Douglas wrote a concurring opinion, contending that “once government finances a religious exercise it inserts a divisive influence into our communities.”
Justice Potter Stewart wrote the lone dissent. He argued that the majority “misapplied a great constitutional principle” and denied public schoolchildren “the opportunity of sharing in the spiritual heritage of our Nation.” He noted that history and tradition showed many religious influences and elements in society, such as “In God We Trust” on the nation’s money, opening sessions of the Supreme Court with “God Save This Honorable Court,” the opening prayers in Congress, and the many acknowledgments of God by various presidents in public speeches.
Decision caused public outrage and criticism
The decision caused outrage among many and harsh criticism of the Warren Court. Engel said that he and his family members suffered obscene phone calls, taunts, and community ostracism.
The decision led the Court to strike down similar school-sponsored prayers in the consolidated cases of Abington School District v. Schempp and Murray v. Curlett (1963).
Principles of Engel have been extended to other cases
The principles of Engel have been extended by Court decisions invalidating an Alabama law requiring a moment of silence that appeared to have been rewritten specifically to encourage school prayer in Wallace v. Jaffree (1985), a middle school graduation school prayer in Lee v. Weisman (1992), and prayer at high school football games in Santa Fe Independent School District v. Doe (2000).

Oct 8, 2022 - The Kerch bridge from Russia to Crimea has been hit by a huge explosion

Images from the bridge showed a fiercely burning fire engulfing at least two railway carriages from a train on the bridge, accompanied by a vast column of black smoke, and one half of the parallel road bridge collapsed into the Kerch Strait.
The explosion, which witnesses said could be heard miles away, took place before 6am on Saturday while a train was crossing the bridge. Russian officials said a car bomb was to blame

cmt: You are wrong this was no suicide truck bomb. On other footage with sound you can clearly hear the sound of like a missile or rocket hit. I listened to it over and over it sounds like a missile or rocket SHH SHHH you can hear right before the explosion
Watch the other CCTV videos doing the rounds. One taken from the railway bridge shows the moments just prior to the explosion. I watched it frame by frame and could clearly see the bow of a small boat coming into view as the kerrbooom happened.

2nd cmt: The boat (some sort of speed boat) was small but obviously packed with explosives. It was adjacent to a pylon which explains why 2 sections of one of the road ways were lifted and the one directly over the boat collapsed when coming back down.

The adjacent roadway has been damaged, but probably is still serviceable.

I could not see the whole boat so cannot say if anyone was aboard.

The train was going back to Russia so was presumably empty so only burnt and did not explode. Many of the tanks did not explode. I suspect it because any remaining fuel on board ran into the sea, while if it was on land, the burning fuel would travel under the next tank, cooking it to the point of explosion.

Some steel work has buckled under the heat, but mostly hand rails etc. I suspect the rails will be warped, but quickly replaceable. The main structure will probably be OK (under war conditions where standards not so rigorous).

Conclusion? A boat attacked the road bridge and something else (rocket from a drone?) attacked the train soon after.

Result - one road way smashed, the other side damaged to an unknown extent. And one railway span damaged, but probably still serviceable.

A spectacular slap in Putins face and a huge loss in logistics esp ability to send fuel to the western theaters (Kherson and Crimea) safely out of HIMAR range.

The future? I hope not an escalation to nukes, but logistics just got a whole lot harder for the Russians.

The second roadway and railway would still be operable.

After 9-11 and the USA Patriot Act, the British Pilgrims Society began building the “Know Your Customer (CYC)” database within banking.

The excuse for unifying this record was for "anti-terrorism" and "anti-money laundering" post 9-11. This triggered a convolution of well-funded startups, mergers, reverse mergers, flips, jumps and interlocking relationships within stock exchanges and their regulatory co-conspirators.

We have this evidence from judicially-recognizable sources and are processing it now. It can be used in court without additional verification required. This helps avoid the election meddler mantra that no one is showing the evidence of massive 2020 voter fraud (which they are).

The bottom line of our findings is that America’s stock, commodity and currency regulators have ceded control of the KYC master database for controlling and approving transactions to Reuters in London—outside the United States.

Reuters has been controlled by the Rothschilds since 1850. They sank their talons deeply and have never let go.

Tony Bobulinski tells Tucker Carlson that Joe Biden was ‘chairman’ of his son’s overseas business dealings
Bobulinski’s interview will air during "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Tuesday.

Tony Bobulinski, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, believes Joe Biden essentially served as the "chairman" and a "figurehead" to his son’s overseas business dealings.

Bobulinski, a retired lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, is the former CEO of SinoHawk Holdings, which he has long said was a partnership between a Chinese energy firm and the Biden family. During an exclusive interview that will air Tuesday night on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Bobulinski said he met with President Biden "multiple" times prior to the 2020 election to discuss his son’s business ventures.

"There are hundreds of data points that Joe Biden was acting in – in a capitalistic term, I would say the chairman," Bobulinski told host Tucker Carlson.

"The chairman of JPMorgan doesn't take eight meetings down with the people, you know, analyzing companies. The chairman serves a purpose, right? He's a figurehead," Bobulinski continued. "He shows up in meetings, shakes hands, advises, you know, has faith in his team. Effectively, that was Joe Biden's role in the Biden family business ventures and around the world. And not just my venture."

Fox News’ Mike Emanuel previously reported that Hunter once made a reference to "my Chairman gave an emphatic no," in a text message. A source familiar told Emanuel that when Hunter talked about his "Chairman," he was referring to his father.

Bobulinski said Joe Biden has been playing that role "dating back decades." He said a leaked 2018 voicemail in which he told his son "I think you’re clear," following a New York Times report about Hunter’s work with a Chinese corporation, contradict the sitting president's claims.

"Joe Biden was adamant to the American people that he had no knowledge of his family's business deals," Bobulinski told Carlson. "How, if he had zero knowledge of that, could he be telling his son that he's in the clear on an article?"

Bobulinski also accused Hunter Biden of "fraud" against his business partners by tampering with key documents to funnel over $5 million into a company he owned during the latest sit-down with Carlson.

Bobulinski, who previously spoke to Carlson in 2020, insists the Biden family has aggressively leveraged its famous last name to make millions from foreign entities. He initially said he wouldn't have gone public with his story had House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff's comments saying his claims were part of a "Russian disinformation" campaign been retracted. This time, he is speaking out once again after he feels the FBI didn’t properly handle his claims.

A Holocaust museum in Florida opened an exhibit concerning the death of George Floyd.

“We have produced this so that people can come and look these individuals in the eye. So you come face to face with people, so you can really experience the feelings that they were feeling,” said Lisa Bachman, assistant director of the Holocaust Center, which educates the public on the atrocities inflicted on Jews during the Holocaust, according to Jewish News:

“The world is complex. Historical wounds are deep. In all the heated rhetoric of the day, we forget to listen. I hope that through these stories and these faces, you can understand the events of our day in a new way. I hope you can challenge some of your own preconceptions and I hope you can see the humanity of each and every person,” Noltner said in a news release. “When I photograph a person—no matter who they are—I strive to leave a simple message: I see you. I hear you. And you matter.”

“When George Floyd was killed that happened 11.6 miles north of my house and I knew with the piece of my mind’s goal being to hear voices that aren’t always heard as well as they should be. I knew that I wanted to go to that site,” Noltner added.

Floyd died on Memorial Day after Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck during an arrest. His death sparked national outrage and protests and riots in most cities.

“You don’t just see this exhibit. You feel it,” Bachman said in a news release. “The expressions and thoughts of each person photographed tells a story that has a very universal message. It is one that can heal and bring us together. It shows us we are not alone in our thinking.”
