⁣What To Do If Your Pet Eats Your Stash | High Times


⁣We recently looked into the rising phenomenon of treating pets with medical cannabis. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center’s official position on pets and cannabis states: “At this point the ASPCA does not support using marijuana in pets for pain control. There have been no scientifically accepted studies comparing marijuana products to known pain control medications (opioids, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). In addition, research has not been able to adequately define what a safe and effective dose of marijuana would be due to the wide variety in product available.”


The clinical effects of THC ingestion in pets can include depression, listlessness, loss of motor coordination and balance, vomiting, hypothermia, agitation, diarrhea, drooling, urinary incontinence, seizures and, in a very few reported cases, coma or death. That’s no fun for Fido—or for any responsible pet owner. So, just as you keep your edibles, dabs, hash and flowers away from kids, keep it off the coffee table so that Mr. Snix doesn’t scarf it down and get all woozy. And here’s what to do if your pet does eat your stash:


1. Figure out what your pet ingested. Did he scarf down a joint? He’ll probably be okay. Did he snarf your 180 mg Bhang Bar? Chocolate can be fatally toxic to dogs, so Bowser may be doubly afflicted if he gobbled a cocoa-licious edible. Either way, play it safe: Don’t wait for symptoms to start. Treat him yourself right away, or get him to a veterinarian.


2. If you choose to treat your precious pooch or kitty at home, give him activated charcoal orally. It’s a good idea to always have some on hand; you can buy it at most drug stores. The activated charcoal traps toxins as they move through the digestive system. Keep your sweetie warm and in a dark, quiet place, and have fluids at the ready if he’s able to drink a little bit.


3. If you’ve given your little guy activated charcoal and he’s not showing signs of improvement, or is getting worse, take him to the vet right away. A veterinarian can put your pet on IV fluids and monitor him in case of more severe symptoms.


4. Be honest with the vet. Vets are not obligated to report marijuana poisoning, and they need to know what’s going on to properly treat your fur baby. Also, you don’t want to pay for a bunch of tests just so the vet can figure out that the dog ate your weed.


5. Stay calm. Animals with marijuana poisoning rarely die. Just be a good buddy, speak in a soothing voice, let your critter know that you’re there for him—and keep your stash in a safer place in the future.

“All those fears you think that I have of people not liking me or that I don’t love myself … I don’t fear that. You know why I don’t fear that? Because the man I most admire in the world, that god to me, thinks I’m a god,” Hunter Biden added in the 77-minute recording, which was taped about five months before Joe Biden launched his successful 2020 presidential campaign in late April 2019. “And my brother did, too. Hunter is taking it a step forwards as he warns about the ties between Hunter and most of the evil, despotic countries run deep. And although Joe claimed he knew nothing of Hunter’s business dealings, records show that he met with several Hunter partners and potential partners over the years.
Joe has said that his son who has spent millions on drugs and hookers is the smartest man he knows. Joe really needs to get out more, or start hanging with conservatives. That would alter his opinion of Hunter.

The DC political world fell apart the day that the New York Post broke the story of the year about Hunter Biden’s laptop he left behind at a computer repair shop, publishing just 3 weeks before the 2020 presidential election his father was campaigning in against then-President Donald Trump.
This was the same story that Twitter and Facebook censored and every political hack in DC, including political operatives, misinformation news media types, and 50 high level former intelligence officers lied when they claimed the Post’s story was “Russian disinformation.” None of those involved were ever held accountable.
The Post’s story revealed a 2015 email from the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings’ executive thanking Hunter Biden for introducing him to his then vice president’s father.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together,” Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi wrote in April 2015. That was less than a year after Joe Biden forced former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire the prosecutor general Viktor Shokin who was investigating corruption of Hunter’s firm Burisma and was about to call Hunter in for questioning. Hunter was being paid anywhere between $50,000 and $85,000 per month depending on who you ask. You read that right. That’s each month.
Don’t forget that 2020 candidate Joe Biden repeatedly said he never spoke to his son Hunter about his overseas business deals. He said he never spoke to his brother Jim either. This news would have ended his campaign, which is why the tech and media clowns censored it.
“We have great confidence in our son. I am not concerned about any accusations made against him. It’s used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play,” Joe Biden said of his son. “But look, it is what it is, and he’s a grown man. He is the smartest man I know — I mean from a pure intellectual capacity. In the recording, Hunter Biden bragged to his friend, British artist Phillipa Horan, that he was “better than anybody you know” as the pair discussed matters ranging from Joe Biden’s presidential aspirations, Hunter Biden’s struggles with addiction, an art project the two were working on together, and philosophical musings on how to live a fulfilling life.

In honor of Black History Month, we'd like to explain exactly why your fried chicken and watermelon lunch is ill-advised, with the hope that people will find better ways to honor this month.
Why is fried chicken racist?🤬

Fried chicken isn't racist. Eating fried chicken isn't racist. A lot of people like fried chicken, and some happen to be black. In 2010, a black chef at NBC served fried chicken and collard greens in honor of Black History Month. QuestLove was not impressed, and stirred up a Twitter storm when he tweeted the picture. “I don’t understand at all. It’s not trying to offend anybody and it’s not trying to suggest that that’s all that African-Americans eat. It’s just a good meal,” the chef, Leslie Calhoun, told The Grio, adding, “I thought it would go over well.” It did not.
The problem stems from the way fried chicken is associated with black people, and the historical baggage that comes with it. The same way blackface recalls minstrel shows, the "black people love fried chicken" image recalls negative portrayals of black people. According to Claire Schmidt at the University of Missouri, it started with Birth of a Nation, the 1915 film on the founding of Ku Klux Klan. In one scene:
[A] group of actors portraying shiftless black elected officials acting rowdy and crudely in a legislative hall. (The message to the audience: These are the dangers of letting blacks vote.) Some of the legislators are shown drinking. Others had their feet kicked up on their desks. And one of them was very ostentatiously eating fried chicken.

And in case you're tempted to think that sort of portrayal is a thing of the past, like minstrel shows, think back to what professional golfer Sergio Garcia said to his nemesis, Tiger Woods, when asked if he'd ever invite Woods to dinner. Anyone that saw the news coverage on the day 9-11 happened knew damn well that a plane did not hit the Pentagon. The hole in the side of the building was about 15 feet in diameter (with intact windows directly above the hole) and there was absolutely no plane wreckage on the ground around the building in that area. THE ongoing story of alleged corruption and foreign influence trading by the Biden family took a more sinister turn on Wednesday (AEST).

Speaking to the conservative American news outlet Newsmax, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani said he had turned the hard drive reportedly left abandoned by Hunter Biden, son of Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden, at a Delaware repair shop over to state police due to contents which he said included inappropriate text messages and pictures of underage girls.

Mr Giuliani said there were “numerous” pictures which he described as being of underage girls.

He also said there were text messages from Hunter to Joe saying that he had been accused of speaking naked to a 14-year-old girl on Facetime.

The shocking news comes as Bevan Cooney, a former Hunter Biden business partner who is serving time for fraud charges, was moved from his federal cell after releasing 26,000 emails to the press.

Cooney says he was set up as the fall guy for the younger Biden’s alleged misdealings.

The laptop has rocked the presidential race as it appears to provide direct evidence of cash-for-influence schemes involving Hunter and countries such as Ukraine and China. Social media giants including Twitter and Facebook have attempted to censor reporting and sharing of stories about the hard drive on the grounds its contents cannot be substantiated and might be a “fake” set up by foreign actors, but the FBI and numerous government intelligence agencies have been unable to disprove its authenticity.

According to numerous reports out of the US, the FBI had been in possession of a copy of Hunter Biden’s hard drive since 2019 but neglected to act on it.

Meanwhile, one of the only polls to call 2016’s shock result correctly shows Mr Trump is rapidly gaining ground on his rival as he picks up last-minute independent voters — much as he did four years ago.

The gap between the two has closed to just 2.3 points, from 8.6 points a week ago.
