Pam Bondi quickly stepped in to clarify past remarks she made on Fox News earlier this year. “In February, I was asked about the client list. I said, ‘It’s sitting on my desk’ — meaning the Epstein file, alongside the JFK and MLK files. That’s all being reviewed per the president’s directive.”

Bondi confirmed that much of the seized video content from Epstein’s homes was “child porn downloaded by that disgusting man. It will never be released — it will never see the light of day.”

On the minute of missing surveillance footage from the night of Epstein’s death, Bondi explained: “We released the video showing everything leading up to it. The Bureau of Prisons says the system resets nightly — it’s old, from like 1999. That same minute is missing every night. We’re now working to release multiple nights of footage to confirm that.”

As for Epstein’s alleged ties to intelligence services, Bondi added: “I have no knowledge of that. We’ll get back to you.”

Despite Trump’s frustration with the timing of the question, the pair's answers reinforced the administration’s stance — Epstein is dead, much of the evidence is sealed, and any potential foreign or domestic intelligence involvement remains unresolved.

Around 11 hours of new CCTV footage reveals life inside the Metropolitan Correctional Centre in New York City on August 9 and 10 in 2019.

The looming threat of an FBI probe into Prince Andrew has also been dropped, with a Justice Department (DoJ) memo accompanying the footage saying no new people in the case would be charged.

CCTV from inside the prison shows a grey-haired Epstein handcuffed in an orange jump suit being led to his cell by a guard at about 7.49pm.

The pair move down a small flight of stairs on the left of the frame and walk to the right across the common area as they head to the cell.

Illegal fireworks misfire, kill 8-year-old girl in California

(KTLA) – Police confirmed Saturday that an 8-year-old girl died after she was struck by an illegal fireworks display on the 4th of July in Orange County.

It was around 9:45 p.m., according to the Buena Park Police Department, when officers patrolling the area of the 8000 block of Cornflower Circle saw family members frantically carrying a child into a nearby home.

BPPD noted the officers were already in this neighborhood after “seeing a large quantity of fireworks detonate in the area.”

Upon seeing the family rushing the young girl inside, officers ran over to offer help and began administering life-saving efforts before the child was transported to the University of California, Irvine hospital.

The 8-year-old girl was tragically declared dead at the hospital. Her identity is being withheld out of respect for her family.

BPPD’s initial investigation revealed that a nearby homeowner set off a “large illegal fireworks display” on their street, which, after ignition, began misfiring toward the residence where the girl was at the time.

“This caused other illegal fireworks to ignite, which were near the child and others,” BPPD stated in a release. “At some point, the child had been struck, causing fatal injuries. Several other individuals were present, but no significant injuries were reported.”

As July 4th celebrations near, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging the public to prioritize fireworks safety. Mishandling fireworks can turn celebration into tragedy.

In 2024, there were 11 reported fireworks-related deaths, most involving misuse and device misfire/malfunctions. An estimated 14,700 people were injured by fireworks last year – a sharp increase of about 38% in deaths and about 52% in injuries respectively compared to 2023. There were an estimated 1,700 emergency room treated injuries in 2024 involving sparklers.

Adults ages 25 to 44 accounted for the largest share of reported injuries (32%), followed by people ages 15 to 24 (24%). The most frequently injured body parts were hands and fingers (36%) and head, face, and ears (22%). Burns were the most common injury, making up 37% of all emergency room visits.

Never allow young children to play with or ignite fireworks, including sparklers. Sparklers burn at temperatures of about 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit—hot enough to melt some metals.
Keep a bucket of water or a garden hose handy, in case of fire or other mishap.
Make sure fireworks are legal in your area, and only purchase and set off fireworks that are labeled for consumer (not professional) use.
Never use fireworks while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Light fireworks one at a time, then move back quickly.
Never try to re-light or pick up fireworks that have not ignited fully.
Follow all instructions and warnings on fireworks and never hold them in hand unless instructions specify to do so.
