The Palestinian resistance continues to execute ambushes against Israeli forces. On June 29, the fighting concentrated in Gaza City, particularly in the Al-Shejaiya neighbourhood. In a 'joint operation', Hamas and PIJ carried out a deadly ambush in the area. Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the PIJ, announced that its fighters targeted the command unit of the IDF in Gaza City. VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The man who said he was called a racist slur during an incident in Virginia City that sparked widespread condemnation and outrage online said he wants the two people involved charged.

In an exclusive interview with News 4-Fox 11 Monday, Ricky Johnson said he was trying to gather signatures for a proposed Nevada ballot question on Friday when a man called him a racial slur.

'I want them charged' says man who filmed racial incident in Virginia City

"The first thing that this guy said was 'Get the f*** out of my face with the N-word.' I said, 'What the f*** did you say?' He replied back to me 'I have a hanging tree in my backyard for n****** like (you)'" Johnson said.

I came peacefully, those guys were wrong. They degraded me. They treated me like I was trash.

Johnson then started recording a video that has since been watched over 1 million times on TikTok. The clip begins with Johnson asking the man, later identified as Gary Miller, to repeat where the hanging tree is. Miller responds by saying the hanging tree is in Johnson's backyard.

Miller's wife Janis was also seen in the video touching Johnson on the arm and ushering Johnson away from the garage where the initial incident happened. Johnson said it was an assault and called for charges to be filed.

"I want them charged. That's the justice I want — them charged. And I want it put out that this is not going to be accepted in Virginia City, Nevada. It's not going to be accepted here. It's not going to be accepted nowhere," he said.

Storey County Sheriff Michael Cullen said that as of Monday afternoon, the case had been forwarded to the Storey County District Attorney's Office for possible prosecution.

The comments drew overwhelming criticism and rebuke from Nevada leaders, with Governor Joe Lombardo, Senator Jacky Rosen and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto all releasing statements condemning the language and saying that racism has no place in Nevada.

The incident happened during the annual Hot August Nights classic car event — event organizers said the people involved were identified and their registrations have been revoked. They said they would reevaluate whether to continue hosting events in Virginia City as a result.

The online outrage turned on the nearby Firehouse Saloon, but News 4-Fox 11 confirmed that the Millers do not own that business. The Millers are owners of the building which houses the Firehouse Saloon and other local businesses but they are not the business owners, rather the landlords.

The Firehouse Saloon's Facebook page was deleted and the phone number listed was disconnected. News 4-Fox 11 went to Virginia City on Monday to try to speak with the Millers and the Firehouse Saloon owners and was unable to contact them.

Sheriff Cullen called the incident horrible and said it was not representative of the Virginia City community.

"It's just appalling that these kind of things are still happening in the country. And people act this way sometimes. But in order to be fair, you know, we're trying to get everybody's point of view and all the witnesses and, and make sure we cover all of our bases," he said.

It's a very diverse community. And we welcome everybody here. So stuff like this is definitely not reflective of Virginia City.

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - A photo of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was found on the phone of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the young man accused of trying to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a rally on Saturday in Pennsylvania.

That information was revealed during a Secret Service and FBI briefing on Wednesday, according to CNN. They also found photos of Trump, President Biden, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, House Speaker Mike Johnson, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and others.

Almost all the photos appear to have been downloaded from the internet and were not accompanied by any threatening language or messages.

It was also revealed that Crooks conducted online searches about various Trump events, both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention, and major depressive disorder.

It's unknown why Crooks downloaded the Fulton County DA's photo. However, she is prosecuting both Trump and Giuliani.

Willis investigates Donald Trump

Willis announced on Feb. 20, 2021, that she was launching a criminal investigation into Trump's alleged attempt to change the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

After a 2-1/2 year investigation, a grand jury handed up an indictment against Trump and 18 of his supporters for election interference.

Prosecution on hold

However, Trump has not yet gone to trial in the state of Georgia. The case has been put on hold until the Georgia Supreme Court can hear oral arguments on motions to remove Willis from the case.

Former White House staffer Michael Roman filed a motion in January 2024 to disqualify Willis because of an "improper" romantic relationship with former special prosecutor Nathan Wade.

After months of drama and a hearing, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled that the Fulton County District Attorney's Office could continue to handle the case but either Willis or Wade would need to step aside. Wade submitted his resignation a few hours later.

Trump and his remaining co-defendants were unhappy with that decision and submitted an appeal to Georgia's appellate court. They announced this week that they will hear oral arguments on Dec. 5.

Willis talks about threats

DA Willis has spoken many times about the threats she has received over the last 3 years because of her investigation into Trump and his allies. Willis claims that she was forced to leave her home in South Fulton.

An Alabama man pled guilty in June to leaving threatening phone messages for the district attorney last summer because he was angry about the election interference investigation.

A California man was also indicted in May for threatening to kill Willis "like a dog."

Trump assassination attempt still under investigation

At this time, officials say they are still looking into what motivated Crooks to try to kill the former president as he spoke to his supporters at Saturday's rally.

FOX News is reporting that Crooks apparently teased an attack online in the days before the assassination attempt on the gaming platform Steam. Crooks allegedly wrote: "July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds," according to the officials.

Although Trump's injury was minor, one person was killed and two others were seriously injured.

Don’t worry if you don’t know the rules of women’s football. We assume that after the Super Bowl, you want to know how football is played. But first, you must bear in mind that there are also female players and that there is a female competition that takes place that same day: the Lingerie Football League.

There are two modalities: the tackle, which allows contact and has 11 players on each team; and flag football, which stops play by removing a ribbon from a player from the opposing team, there are four to twelve members in each group and no helmets or shoulder pads are used.

Taking as a model the style of play of the Lingerie Football League, we will explain women’s football regulations:

Annotations
A team has four chances to score in the opposing zone. To be valid, the player must pass the line that limits the space to score points. That is known in American football as a touchdown.

Conversion of two points
In women’s football, this play is allowed. After scoring, the team can be near the opposing end zone to score for a second time.

Game time
The game is divided into four ten-minute quarters and a 12-minute halftime. What is peculiar about these quarters is that they only run when the play is on. Every time there is a touchdown, foul or other inconvenience, the clock stops. Also, there is an additional 8 minute sudden-death period in the event of a tie.

The team
Each of the groups must have eleven players. It is divided into three positions:
Offensive, which are the ones that can score
Defensive, position to prevent the other team from scoring
Special teams, which kick the ball at specific and specific moments

Yards
The court is divided five times from the middle to each end. There is an identification every ten yards: it goes from 0 to 50. The end zone is at the ends, after 0.

Prohibitions
Unlike men’s football, certain moves are not allowed. That is the case with the field goal, one of the few movements with the foot, which will enable you to score points. The use of so-called punt kicks where the ball must not touch the ground is also not allowed. In Lingerie Football League matches, the kickoff is also not allowed in the women’s soccer regulations, given the ball in the hands.

"The View" co-hosts unloaded on President Donald Trump for saying that giving mothers a $5,000 bonus was a "good idea" during the show on Wednesday, claiming the notion was insulting and racially motivated.

Goldberg sarcastically introduced the segment, saying she was "incredibly insulted" by the idea and the administration didn't understand how women's bodies work.

"I will say this, I paid in my money. I want my money back from Social Security. I’m sorry," Goldberg began. "It is not anybody else’s responsibility but mine to make sure I keep my payments up. That’s the first thing, but let me talk about some of the things that the administration has slashed which is why I’m so not only insulted by that amount of money. Because $5,000, yes, it sounds like a lot of money, but if you can’t pay your rent, if you can’t pay for your after-school programs for your kids…"

Trump responded to a question on Tuesday about whether the administration was considering a bonus for mothers who have babies, to which he responded, "Sounds like a good idea to me."

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back and asked if something was better than nothing before noting, "I feel like if [Joe] Biden proposed this, we would all be saying it's groundbreaking.

"I don’t like the idea that somebody is saying, I’m going to pay you to have more kids. I know we’re not allowed to bring up the other times people suggested that. But I will tell you this is not the first time in the country, but let me just tell you this, 1 billion in funding for schools and food banks to buy food was cut," Goldberg said, before listing off more examples.

"My point is, it seems to me that this – everything this administration seems to be doing is telling people not to have children. Why not make sure that kids that we already have a shot at good schooling? Why not?" she added.

Co-host Sunny Hostin suggested during the conversation that the Trump administration was only worried about decreased births with White mothers.

"I want to reframe the issue a little bit because when I look at something like this, these proposals, I want to know why, and I want to know who is making them. And so when I looked into that, they’re saying that the U.S. birth rate is declining. However, in 2024 there was a 1% increase in U.S. births, but that increase was with Hispanic mothers and Asian mothers. Aha! So, they don’t seem to be concerned about that increase. They seem to be more concerned about a decrease in other populations," she said.

Fellow liberal co-host Joy Behar encouraged Hostin to just "say it" before eventually just saying it herself, adding, "White children!"
Griffin pushed Hostin on whether the administration had actually said they were worried about White families, to which Hostin responded that she was just giving "facts."

"I’m just giving facts. And so also when I think about who’s advocating, Project 2025, remember that? Which was tied to the Heritage Foundation, the think tank that led Project 2025. They open up the Project 2025 before anything else talking about family issues.

"The first chapter promises to restore the family as the centerpiece of American life and the Heritage Foundation, in particular, has been researching this issue for over two years and is preparing to release a report in the coming weeks on how it believes the administration should counter declining birth rates. So, I just leave that with all of you, because I think when we’re talking about the United States, we need to think about who’s proposing it and why," Hostin concluded.
