This is dedicated to Rick Heskey

https://cst.org.uk/news/blog/2....021/12/03/richard-he

⁣CST’s investigative research has led to one of Britain’s most prolific antisemitic video streamers being convicted of inciting anti-Jewish hate online. Richard Hesketh, from Greater Manchester, has been sentenced to four years in jail after pleading guilty to stirring up racial hatred by posting a series of viciously antisemitic homemade videos on the fringe social media site BitChute.

Hesketh, who also used the name Rick Heskey for his online postings, posted thousands of videos online that attracted millions of views. It is no surprise that he used BitChute, a site CST has repeatedly highlighted as a haven for far-right extremists, antisemites and terrorist sympathisers. His use of the site typifies a new generation of far-right activists who use social media to spread the most vile hatred. In fact, Heskey operated across several platforms, including BitChute, and boasted of having posted around 4,000 videos that attracted over 5.5 million views.

Hesketh’s aims were explicitly clear: one of his social media profiles had the title 'Dedicated to Exposing the Jew' and elsewhere he described his goal as “exposing the filthy Jews”. He saw himself as a “Full time Jew Namer” and took all the opportunities presented to him by the fairly unmoderated platforms of Bitchute and Goyim TV to goad, taunt and insult Jews and the Jewish community.

In fact, Hesketh had previously appeared in a video with one of the US founders of Goyim TV, Jon Minadeo II, who also leads a network of US-based antisemitic agitators called the Goyim Defense League (GDL). Minadeo also posted material reacting to the police raid of Hesketh’s home and stated that Hesketh was the first person with whom he had ever streamed.

CST first became aware of Hesketh’s online activities in May 2020. His singular focus, brazen content and aggressive antisemitism made him an important figure in the far-right online echo chamber. Hesketh’s videos were full of grotesque antisemitic images and violent language. In a video about an antisemitic assault on a Jewish man in Brazil, Hesketh said: “Hitler should have killed more Jews. Completely agree, I’d say he should have killed about 16 million, that should have finished them off.”

In October 2020, Hesketh shared a video titled 'Jews in the News- Halle Synagogue attacker 1 year on'. The video came shortly after a report from Hamburg, Germany that an individual with a shovel had attacked several community members on their way to synagogue. Heskey stated during this video: “if you’re gonna go into a synagogue and scare the s**t out of these rat-faced Jews it’s like, why would you take a shovel? It’s not exactly the best weapon for cleaving people. It’s good for bonging them on the head with, filthy Jew sit down.”
In another video, Hesketh visited Clifford’s Tower in York, the scene of an infamous massacre of Jews in 1190. The video was titled 'The Filthy Jews of York Castle' and included an antisemitic meme arguing that Jews deserved to be expelled from dozens of countries throughout history.

Another video celebrated Brenton Tarrant, the far-right terrorist who murdered 51 Muslims at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand in 2019.

In June 2020, amid the backdrop of warnings from law enforcement that the COVID-19 pandemic may lead to the growth of extremist ideologies, CST passed a report of Hesketh’s material to the police. The report included 16 pages of screenshots and explanations of Hesketh’s activities, his antisemitism and the danger he posed to the Jewish community. At this point, his BitChute account had 5,544 subscribers, and he had posted 3,327 videos, which between them had attracted an astonishing 2,212,310 views.

CST was concerned about Hesketh’s ability to create further videos, as well as the damage being done by the videos already on his BitChute account. In July 2020, one month after CST reported him to the police, Hesketh’s BitChute following had increased by over a thousand to 6,691 subscribers, indicating a growing audience for his anti-Jewish hate. In September 2020, his BitChute account was finally suspended for “severe policy violations”, at which point CST tracked his digital presence as he moved to multiple smaller platforms in an attempt to rebuild his stature and following.

In November 2020, Greater Manchester Police raided a house in the Manchester area that belonged to Hesketh. Devices and documents from the house were seized and a detailed investigation was conducted. In August 2021, Richard Hesketh was charged with 7 counts of distributing a recording of visual images or sounds stirring up racial hatred, contrary to section 21(1) Public Order Act 1986. On 7 September 2021, Hesketh pleaded guilty to all charges and today (3 December 2021) he was sentenced to four years in jail at Manchester Crown Court.

Following the sentencing, Detective Superintendent Will Chatterton, of Counter Terrorism Policing North West, said: "Hesketh shared as well as created hundreds of shockingly offensive videos and content on social media, which undoubtedly incited hatred towards the Jewish community. In police interview Hesketh showed no remorse and even continued to upload offensive material to his social media channels after he was released under investigation. Hesketh enjoyed viewing videos of serious attacks on Jewish people and even made comments referring to his disappointment that the attacker in one video did not kill the victim, showing just how depraved his beliefs are. Peddling this mind set across the internet is dangerous and at the same time incredibly upsetting to our communities. This case highlights that right wing terrorism will not be tolerated in any shape or form and we will do all we can to bring these offenders to justice. I am pleased that Hesketh will no longer be able to continue his campaign of abuse and I really do hope that his time in prison is spent reflecting upon his appalling behaviour".

Mark Gardner, CST’s Chief Executive, said: “Richard Hesketh was one of Britain’s most prolific far right antisemitic video streamers and his anti-Jewish hatred was viewed millions of times by his online audience. We are pleased to have helped bring this antisemite to justice and we are grateful to Greater Manchester Police and the Crown Prosecution Service for their efforts in putting him in prison.”

Despite pleading guilty, Hesketh continued to post antisemitic and racist material online, showing a complete lack of remorse.

CST has a long history of countering far-right activity in the UK, much of which goes unreported at the time. It was only in the last two months that details have been released about an undercover CST operation, jointly with Searchlight magazine, that led to neo-Nazi David Copeland being identified as the 1999 London nail bomber. Although the technology and methods of our research have changed over time, our mission has not. Hesketh had not attempted to emulate Copeland’s murderous terrorism, but he operated in online environments where the glorification and encouragement of anti-Jewish terrorism is commonplace. And his insistent, explicit anti-Jewish hate could easily have contributed to this atmosphere and incited others to undertake an antisemitic attack against the Jewish community.

Hesketh’s anti-Jewish hate represents the ideological, political and physical threat posed by right-wing extremists and online influencers during the digital age. CST will always remain vigilant to the activities of antisemites and those who would seek to harm our community. Hesketh will, sadly, not be the last such case, which is why CST’s work, in partnership with the police, must continue to combat this threat.

⁣ALTERNATE NAMES: Da Goyim Know

“The Goyim Know” is an antisemitic catchphrase, used by itself or combined with the related phrase “shut it down,” as in “Oy vey, the Goyim know! Shut it down!” An alternate version is “Da Goyim Know.” It is most associated with the alt right segment of the white supremacist movement and message boards such as 4chan and 8chan.

The language is typically used in references to antisemitic conspiracy theories depicting Jews as malevolent puppet-masters, manipulating the media, banks, and even entire governments to the benefit of themselves but to the detriment of other peoples. The phrase is intended to be understood as spoken by a panicked Jew responding to some occurrence that would ostensibly reveal Jewish manipulations or deceit to non-Jews (i.e., “goyim,” a disparaging Yiddish and Hebrew word for non-Jews).

The implied Jewish speaker in the catchphrase is thus urging fellow Jews to shut down that particular manipulation or deceit and move on to something else. “Can’t let the gullible goyim know that they are supporting free cellphones and internet connections to the boys in the hood,” reads one typical posting from 2012 on the white supremacist website Stormfront. “The Goyim know” meme originated as mocking shorthand for this type of language.

The earliest known references to “The Goyim Know/Shut It Down” appeared in 2013, apparently originating on the discussion forum 4chan. The phrases quickly spread to social media. The meme became more popular in 2014 after an antisemitic song parody featured the phrase. Soon the meme became a staple of online antisemitism.

It didn’t take long before the phrase entered the physical world. In 2017, white supremacists appeared with signs featuring the phrase “The Goyim Know” at several events around the country, including the August 2017 “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. The intent behind the “The Goyim Know” signs seemed to be to demonstrate that white supremacists were aware of the conspiracies in which Jews were ostensibly involved.

The song was based on Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy, a three-book science series in which the protagonist, Hari Seldon, is a mathematician who invents a new field called psychohistory, which could predict the course of history based on a mathematical analysis of the emotional state of the people of the universe - emotion revealed as the ocean maid. Throughout the course of the history covered by the books, merchants, and later, religious, take over control of society, only to both eventually fail - coins and crosses never know their fruitless worth. The series is also a mystery, where the central unknown is the location of one of the two Foundation planets of a spiral galaxy where the psychohistorians that guide the future of civilization reside - a foundation left to create the spiral aim. Knowing the song, I was able to determine the location of the first foundation before it was revealed in the third book. Many of the elements of the song fit the story, enough for those intrigued to pick up the books.

Written by band members Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Steve Howe and Chris Squire, this song runs 10:08 and is divided into four parts:

I) Cord of Life
II) Eclipse
III) The Preacher the Teacher
IV) Apocalypse

A 5:45 edit was released as a single and charted at #42 in the US.

In an interview with Jon Anderson, he answered: "Probably God. Or it could be we collectively. The audience and I, collectively we look for reality of being a true understanding of the beauty of life. We reach over the rainbow for an understanding of things. You and I climb closer to the light."

Few titles start with the word "and"; a more logical title would be "You And I." Jon Anderson told us why the conjunction appears at the beginning: "I sang it that way as I was writing it with Steve (Howe) and it just stuck: 'And you and I climb over the sea to the valley.' It's all about the reasons that we have to call our connection with the Divine. So it was something that just rhythmically worked."

Rick Wakeman, who played keyboards on this track, said, "It has different movements which all go into each other. The object was having a piece of music that was everything that the Yes critics hated us for and the Yes fans loved us for, which was emotion."

This was a highlight of the band's live shows, and one of their favorites to play in concert. The Close To The Edge album was conceived with live performance in mind, which was prescient considering they were still performing it more than 40 years later.

They played it start-to-finish along with The Yes Album and Going for the One on a tour that spanned March 2013 - June 2014. When the group resumed touring in July, they once again played the full album, this time along with Fragile.

In a 2014 interview with Chris Squire, he said: "The audiences respond real well to hearing the music in that format. It reminds them of when they first heard probably what was a vinyl album."

A man conceived a moment's answers to the dream
Staying the flowers daily, sensing all the themes
As a foundation left to create the spiral aim
A movement regained and regarded both the same
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you

Changed only for a sight of sound, the space agreed
Between the picture of time behind the face of need
Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid
Emotion revealed as the ocean maid
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you
Oh

Coins and crosses never know their fruitless worth
Cords are broken, locked inside the mother earth
They won't hide, oh, they won't tell you
Watching the world, watching all of the world
Watching us go by

And you and I climb over the sea to the valley
And you and I reached out for reasons to call

Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid
Emotion revealed as the ocean maid
As a movement regained and regarded both the same
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you

Sad preacher nailed upon the colored door of time
Insane teacher be there, reminded of the rhyme
There'll be no mutant enemy we shall certify
Political ends, as sad remains, will die
Reach out as forward tastes begin to enter you
Ooh, ooh

I listened hard but could not see
Life tempo change out and inside me
The preacher trained in all to lose his name
The teacher travels, asking to be shown the same
In the end, we'll agree, we'll accept, we'll immortalize
That the truth of the man maturing in his eyes
All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you

Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid
As a moment regained and regarded both the same
Emotion revealed as the ocean maid
A clearer future, morning, evening, nights with you

And you and I climb, crossing the shapes of the morning
And you and I reach, over the sun for the river
And you and I climb, clearer, towards the movement
And you and I called over valleys of endless seas

This is the raw unedited/dubbed version where Malmsteen loses audio a couple of minutes into the song.

The Metallic Live DVD version has an overdub to cover up the audio malfunction, but I believe this is version is better, and more honest.

Bonnet's singing and Malmsteen's playing on this track is just awesome.

Judge for yourself.

Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7wwAbwcE4w

CHOOSE: Watch in High Quality- Leave a comment. JftV was formed in 1981 out of the ashes of Madame Wong's West nightclub and the influential West LA underground music scene. My friend, Allen Pitch , and I were the DJs there, meeting many interesting musicians and making contacts. We wanted to perform music like all these bands we were getting to know. I bought a Moog Synthesizer and Allen bought ONE drum and ONE broken cymbal. We found 3 other musicians who didn't realize how bad we were, since they weren't much better! We all had terrible singing voices and we played our instruments at differing levels of ineptitude. Fortunately, we improved our sound with dedicated practice and experience.

You could describe us as rock, power pop, punk, new wave, melodic, alternative, garage, satirical, unlistenable, rock opera, artsy-fartsy, but mainly, Theatrical Performance Rock-- kind of a Jewish Alice Cooper. By 1982, the original members split up due to artistic differences. Imagine that. So, Marc and Allen brought in Joe and Dave to add funky chops and actual musical talent.

The original line-up had a career resembling the Sex Pistols, in that we were so offensive, infamous hilarity ensued. We were attacked with food, tomatoes, and whatnot during our sets. The principal of Fairfax High School (Phil Spector's Alma Mater) rightfully pulled the plug on us after our second number, a rollicking punkish version of "Springtime for Hitler" during lunch hour. I clearly remember being berated by an outraged rabbi's wife who didn't get the joke. Well, we deserved it. We were asking for it simply by getting up and performing this material...poorly...in front of paying customers. We definitely got a reaction. Eventually, I'll create a memorial website for Jews from the Valley. No reunions planned, don't worry!

Fledgling network MTV said they wouldn't even think of playing our videos. Of course they never got a chance to see this little gem, which is admittedly ethnically offensive, but not nearly as appalling as our original line-up's songs. They banned the original line-up for life, so we just assumed the new line-up was also banned...making this video a notorious little ditty for your viewing 'pleasure', meant to mildly offend you, yet entertain you with several chuckles that you're embarrassed about verbalizing. Our song titles included "Beirut is Burning", "Mr. Kosher Man", "The Shool was Rockin", "Hava Nagila/Harvey & Sheila", and "I'm 13" spoofing "I'm 18" with a gruesome Bar Mitzvah twist, which perfectly meshed my 2 favorite influences, Alice Cooper and Allan Sherman. I think we had talent and we were funny, but just not good enough to invest into a career move. We were smart to treat this as a 2 year hobby. I hope all the lads are thriving in their chosen lines of work. They say guys start rock bands to meet girls....curiously that didn't really happen with JftV. Not too many nice Jewish girls hung out at the Starwood, Wong's West, or the Whiskey back then.

Our band featured a few guest appearances I must chronicle (since this stupid youtube description has grown into our official biography): Gigi Mariam on keyboards, Elliot on guitar and harmonies, Rob on drums, and of course the late great Jeff Seidman as the Misguided Ex-Terrorist who subtly sees the error of his ways in this video. Jeff also leapt up onstage unexpectedly, a la Andy Kaufman and Bob Zmuda, as the psychotic Rabbi during our live shows. Jeff's passing in 1983 was a great loss to the community, to comedy, to film, and a personal loss for me since he was my good friend throughout all of high school and college.

Jews from the Valley was seriously reviewed by Craig Lee for the LA Times when we opened for Redd Kross. He wrote that we were "a one-joke garage band. " I guess he didn't think the one joke was funny. I found that criticism unfair since, although we were definitely a concept band performing grungy rock operas and producing/projecting films and videos built around the overall concept, we created many many laughs and shrieks of shock...and isn't outrage what we were taught rock 'n roll was all about?

Please feel free to add a comment. If you like our music and/or our lyrics (you do?
really?), I might be tempted to track down and upload more Jews from the Valley footage...if it's not too inappropriate or
controversial for youtube [or BitChute!].

That's where VfB heard Acid Mammoth for the 1st time

https://www.metal-archives.com..../reviews/Acid_Mammot

Acid Mammoth is a doom/stoner metal band from Athens, Greece, with two of their four members being a father/son guitarist duo. I had never even heard of this band before YouTube put this album in my recommendations today - and, quite frankly, I am not very familiar with a lot of European metal outside of the obvious thrash and death metal scenes - but I am very glad that I decided to give it a shot, because this was a very enjoyable experience.

It pretty much goes without saying that there is a massive amount of Black Sabbath influence on this record - that comes with the territory considering Sabbath pioneered the genre decades ago. The Babalis duo are not afraid to pound the listener with one hulking, fuzzy, slow-paced riff after another, and while for the most part the band does not fluctuate all too much in terms of tempo, they are able to keep things mostly fresh and not overly travel on charted waters. While there are some riffs that could be pulled straight from a Sabbath record or a Matt Pike-penned song (i.e. "Jack the Riffer"), the band keeps it interesting through atmosphere, earworm melodic phrases, and some epic lead passages. The band sprinkles in some psychedelic elements into some of the songwriting, with standout track "Tree of Woe" being a good example -- parts of songs almost are "trance-like" regarding the ambiance they create.

The drum performance fits the songs perfectly, not particularly flashy or technical but flashiness would pretty much kill any sort of ambiance in these doomy, lurching tracks. The mixing of the drums is probably the worst part of the production - the kick drum sounds okay, but the rest of the kit is buried under the wall of distorted guitars and bass, and sounds a bit thin. I was happy with the bass performance on this album; it, for the most part, was not flashy either and created a solid rhythm section with the drums in which the guitars could do their thing, but when the bass got its own time in the spotlight, it was a nice touch to the songs. The tone of the bass is great, distorted and chunky but retaining a degree of clarity that can sometimes get lost in overly fuzzy mixes.

The vocals are really interesting, at times sounding almost uncannily like Ozzy Osbourne, while also occasionally reminding me of Al Cisneros from Sleep in terms of timbre and delivery. I didn't pay much attention to the lyrical content while listening, but after reading the lyrics, I am largely unimpressed, as just seems to be pretty standard drudgery about witchcraft and Satan. This is not a massive detractor but it didn't really serve as a major benefactor, either. The vocals can also be washed under the waves of fuzz and distortion at times, though not quite to the extent of the drums. Lastly, the guitars came through with some really nice riffs, especially when they move up to higher registers. The leads are scarce but are more aimed at adding a grandiose sense of atmosphere to the songs instead of shredding or displaying technical wizardry. The tone is great for this kind of music - warm, fuzzy, overdriven as hell - and the guitars are upfront in the mix (a little bit too upfront).

This record is only 5 songs with a runtime of around 35 minutes, but honestly it left me pretty satiated, not really wanting anymore or less material as a general statement. While I do love "Tree of Woe" and its catchy, titanic riffs, the song would be just as good if the last two minutes were cut; "Tusks of Doom" and "Jack the Riffer" were very solid songs but didn't have the same impression on me as the songs that bookended them, and they sounded a little too cliche for me to fully appreciate them. The title track "Under Acid Hoof" is by far the best track on the record and was a phenomenal way to end the album, with the most creative and eclectic ideas presented here by Acid Mammoth. This band really sounds like they have cemented "their" sound, and while there are probably more "unique" stoner/doom bands out there, I am happy with this release and excited to see what they have in store for us in the next few years.
